One of my favourite spot in London. The ponds, the park, the picnics, the catch-up with friends, yoga, meditation, acupuncture sessions, etc. Hampstead heath always did so much good to me. It is definitely once the places that would miss the most when I will be leaving London. If you're up for a long walk you should visit the Manor Close to Highgate side which is absolutely stunning. The pergola garden is breath taking during spring and autumn!!!

It's so beautiful. And people walking around are able to do an array of things. It's great to walk the dogs and have picnics as well as have quality time with friends and family. Truly lovely. There's also a nearby cafe or you can indulge in the local area and have nice food.

On my 3rd trip to London, I finally got to go & walk around Hampstead Heath. What a hidden jewel! The town is very charming & nice for strolling about at a leisurely pace--something you can't usually do on a busy London street. And the Heath itself is a revelation--like a bit of the countryside brought to the city. Get your comfy shoes out for a nature stroll! Everyone was out & about with their dogs & some were fishing in the duck pond--it was very relaxed & sunny. And so pretty! If you need a bit of a break from the hectic pace of London, I definitely recommend going here.

Have not been to this park for years when I lived in the area and it was great to return and see the old place, which has not really changed but rather has great character...love the secluded parts of the park where one can relax in the lovely weather in relative peace....i have many lovely memories of this park with my friends & children

One of the most beautiful parks in London. It s hard to call it a park as inside it feels like you re in an actual forest, great views, especially from parliament hill, and from the back of the park, the foliage and nature around are really relaxing and it s an all out amazing place to go to.

The iconic and famous Hampstead Heath. A large piece of the country within London. Great for walking. Ponds, including an outdoor swimming pond. Popular with dog owners/walkers. The heath has wooded areas in conjunction with open grass areas. Great views over Central London available from the Parliament Hill Fields area and Primrose Hill. Childrens play area. Extends from Hampstead/Highgate to the Hampstead Garden Suburb.

I don t know what s with me but I feel drawn to this park in particular. I visit it almost every weekend to kind of recharge myself with a little bit of nature s energy. Really beautiful skyline of the city. I can sit with a book in my hand under a tree and lose track of time.

Huge park and gardens with lots to do. There are some fantastic views from Parliament Hill. The Pergola and hill garden are beautiful pieces of history. So many beautiful birds and plenty of nature. Natural lakes for outdoor swimming. There is all sorts going on here and it's a beautiful escape from the city, within the city!

The fact that an area this big and this wild exists near the centre of London is nothing short of fantastic! The sheer size and variety of the heath means there should be something for everyone, ponds, lido, athletic track, art gallery (Kenwood house) and innumerable little paths and beautiful spots for picnics, reading and walks! Any visits to london should make this a priority!!

It was really picturesque. I found that the park was very large and spacious with lots of foliage to walk through. The pathways were interesting and one could really feel the landscape changing quite drastically every ten minutes. There were fields and flowers including a bathing pond where one could swim and jump off the diving board. It is easily accessible by the train station and there are two car parks on either side of the park. It would take roughly 30-40 minutes to walk from one side to the other.

The heath! Mannor of classic english poets on opium and modern bummers from all four corners of the empire!

Come ye all for the truly english experience! The beauty of the original urban park and its panoramic views over the wasteland of london city are matched by the sprawl of middle to upper class rebellious recreational drug takers.

Leave your daddy issues at the gate! Shrug off that second divorce, forget that soul crushing middle management and worry not of your crushing credit card debt!

For this is the heath! Where wonder and magic await ye all! You never know what you'll get, deep in the bushes of hampstead heath!

This park is a gold nugget in London. You will forget that you are actually in London.
I really enjoyed it. You can walked/run in several directions, there is not one straight path to follow. You don't really feel when there is lot of people.
For hot days you can go to the ponds, one for ladies, one for male and one mixed.
You can also go to the extension. You have the Kenwood House when you can visit for free.

Lovely
