Great place to visit to see views over london from parliament hill viewpoint then walk down to the bathing ponds and they even have a pond for dogs to swim in.
My first visit to this open green space and viewpoint and I will use the bathing ponds in the future.

The Heath is lovely but the parking in East Heath Road car park is a P take! Ridiculously expensive as it's not as though it's all that accessible by bus or tube from other parts of London

Great place for a family weekend. Very easy to spend 3-4 hours.
-> very large green space with meadows, be ready to walk uphill / downhill (nothing challenging)
-> do go to Parliament hill view point to look back at London city center
-> there are couple of ponds, swimming is allowed in some. One of the pond is dedicated for ladies (no men are allowed in that secluded area)
-> Kenwood estate is a lesser known gem maintained and part of English Heritage. Staff at estate are very friendly. We saw live music playing (free) inside the magnificent halls. Check timing and day before visit if you are interested.
-> restaurant has a garden space to sit and enjoy your coffee
-> Dog lovers will get to see every breed in London in one park.
-> toilets are available but be prepared to walk to facilities (don t go crazy with your drinks along with picnic)

A great park on the edge of central London. It is extremely large and boasts many large open areas and fields.

The park is surrounded by affluent residential areas which makes it quite quiet.

There isn't much to do in the park so it's best in sunny days.

Visiting for Katie Boyle Funeral Wed.21.Mar.2018 at St Mary's RC Church, Holly Walk. Very hilly. Quaint & interesting residential area, wealthy patina. Narrow roads, better appreciated as a pedestrian (not cyclist), Good shop area Hampstead Village nearby, many eateries, Good Public Transport Trains & Buses, limited parking. Good exercise for fitness.

Lovely park

You can't get bored of HH, good kids playgrounds, paddling pool isn't great, plenty of fresh air, Lido gets ridiculously busy on a hot day. Plenty of exploring routes and yummy blackberries

Wonderful place to visit, a truly unique place considering that it is in London. Not difficult to get to if you are taking public transport, and parking is available although you will be required to pay at peak times.

One of the best parks in London, great variety as spaces which offer panoramic London views, sport amenities swimming ponds and sparse sitting spaces. Visit kenwood house at the top!

What a wonderful place to walk.

What a wonderful place to walk.
Gorgeous views of London.
Kenwood House is worth a visit.
In the summer one can swim in the ponds.
Start from the North and you will have an easier downhill walk.

My favourite place in London. Lots beautiful, natural wild nature which is much needed in the big city. To top it all, there are 4 open spaces for outdoor swimming. Magical.

You will have a fantastic view of the whole LONDON. No matter you are visitors or native people. It a really good place to visit. There is a huge lawn here. Children always play soccer here. And the night scene here is even better. Don t miss it.

I live in NW3 and I don't think I've walked every path through the Heath. It's such a colossal space, gorgeous in spring and summer and breathtaking in autumn and winter. It's never deserted but one can still visit there alone and feel like they're the only person on earth. It's so tranquil, so peaceful, and is divide beautifully into areas best loved by dogs, for swimming, and for sports. It's perfect for a picnic, spectacular for a summer saunter, and incredible for awakening the senses when wandering amongst the trees in the rain. Hampstead would not be the same without it!

The best open space in London. You can get away from all things City. Suitable for all abilities. Good pathways for less able and wheelchairs. V good cafe at parliment hill. Kenwood house is beautiful and free to go round. It has a cafe, beware its expensive.

A nice bit of nature in the middle of London. Really nice to go for a walk and forget that you are in one of the largest cities in the world. Keep in mind it is very crowded if the sun is out

Well it isn't central London where all the iconic landmarks are, but it is where you can put most of them into a single picture. I said it was possible if only you can back up far enough, but I digress. It really is just a large green park accessible from central London by the Northern line via Edgewater, though you're in for a bit of a walk up a significant hill. The park is very nature-y, more than some of the others closer to the center. There are various swimming ponds. Parliament Hill is the spot you go for photos, some go to enjoy sunrise.

Lovely place for a picnic or just for a walk. We used to live in North London literally minutes away from Hampstead Heath and loved to have some nice and relaxing time in the park. Still going there from time to time but not so often as we moved in a different area.

Hampstead Heath's wonderful open spaces have provided a breath of fresh air for many generations of Londoner. Previously, besides being a place of recreation for rich and poor alike, the heath was a refuge for Highwaymen!

Hampstead Heath is with a doubt one of London's best green and open spaces. Its so big you can easily find yourself surrounded by greenery and its can as though you are not in London at all but in the English countryside.

Weather you are looking for somewhere to walk the dog, go for a jog, have a picnic or even go for a swim in one of the ponds the health offers it all.

Beautiful walks and views. Parking can be a nightmare when the weather is good as there are restrictions in the area. There is a carpark but it gets full very quickly. Make sure you visit parliament hill.
