First things first - the resort PROMOTES SMOKING. It is not smoke-free at all. Now that Montenegro have passed a restrictive legislation on smoking in public areas, the hotel will try to convince you otherwise. On staff and management level. Just google this info and check for yourself. If you travel with kids - be ready to INHALE SMOKE on the beach and in restaurants.
Secondly, they will charge you full price of stay upon arrival. Don t expect to be ever refunded anyway, if something goes wrong. It seems that it is the hotels policy is to not apologize to the guests for any troubles. If they are not blaming you for their mistakes, they will at least ignore them. Even if you leave earlier due to their lack of professionalism and real 5 star experience, you won t have a chance get a refund. Checked in action - the hotel manager didn t say any apologies, after hearing all the complaints.
Oh, yes, the restaurants. They promote to have 3 restaurants on site. In reality, all three are tiny restaurants with small variety of food that are the same everyday. Only one restaurant is working full-time, others may be either closed for private events or else. The same restaurant is serving food to beach bar and room service. You might become very bored with the food selection on the third day and will have to look for the way to get to the nearest town, which is pretty long walk.
What else is missing? A nice infrastructure. This is not a hotel, so it consist of closely placed villas on a hill. Except for the lack of the restaurants, they don t have any shops or other activities. It s like renting a room in a villa in private sector, where people live with their cars parked and use, whenever they need some entertainment.
Anything good? Yes, the beach is clean and nice. Villa apartments are good and modern.
Bottom line here - the hotel needs to respect their guests more. For the money they asking, they need to provide a better level of service and facilities. The hotel should stop position itself as 5 star resort, but rather as villa rental facility. Finally, the management should be more loyal to their guests. And they should implement flexible rates with refund on non-used days.
