The most special park in London full stop. Go there to get lost
Great place for running, rugby or just chilling out. There is a vast space for everyone. It's easy to get to and parking is not a problem. However there is and expensive parking tarriff.
Always best on a bright sunny day. Vast areas to wander and brilliant views of the City from Parliament Hill. Excellent cafe by the bandstand, with friendly staff, offering a good variety of snacks and meals. Bagpipe player on the bandstand today!
Simply a wonderful place with lots to do. Best of all when doing not so much, just wandering.
Beautiful place of peacefulness in the middle of madness.
A great park. Make sure to look at the view of London.
A lovely place to visit, bang in the heart of London
The Heath is a great space to explore or just sit and enjoy the scenery.
Great views of London from Parliament Hill, but can be a bit windy (maybe I should've brought a kite)
An absolutely marvelous public park. The heath is beautiful to look at and is big enough to easily lose yourself for hours if you're looking to forget the city for a while. Thank God we have public spaces like Hampstead Heath! ^_^
One of best places in London - makes you feel like you're in the countryside
A large swathe of greenery in a part of London developers would love to build over, but can't.
London wouldn't be if it wasn't for Hempstead Heath.
Open space, good bike route and good walking and also good for the dogs
A little stroll turned into an adventure here make sure you wear comfortable shoes it's a big plans and you will definitely regret not having comfortable shoes when you are in the middle. Nothing else to say definately worth the visit. Also you get a great view of the skyline
Beautiful views with lovely walking and seating areas
It's a beautiful, relaxing place to go to. It really clears my mind and helpes me think. Its loneley and magical...perfect
It's just a really nice place to go to if you haven't got time for a massive daytrip. You can have some culture but also just stroll through and have a picnic.
Exceptional London panorama from Parliament Hill and other points on the Heath. Wonderful seasonal colours, great places to swim, fantastic expanses to walk dogs and wonder alone or with friends and family. Often very quiet on weekdays and brilliant for children to explore, climb trees and brilliant for picnics.
Great for a break from the city on a sunny day. Great view over london!
North London's scenic cocoon. Long summer days and early sunny winter mornings can be spent here enjoying the fresh air and looking at the city's skyline across from people walking their dogs.
One of my favourite places in London. Take time to wander the heath and to see the spectacular view from Parliament Hill.
Only went for 1 hour prior going for meal. Looked ok but children's bit shut whic I assume was due to season being winter
Lovely and picturesque, recommended for anyone who wants a taste of the countryside whilst in the busiest city in England.
The park is beautiful with loads of areas to explore each side have it's own individual unique.
You can go for along walk, picnic, time for yourself or with friends dog walk whatever problem is parking as usual no space to.park because of it's popularity I suppose
Would definitely recommend it
Perfect park for losing yourself with your or self
Lovely, but overrated. Great views of London, but when weather is great, so packed, May bank holiday weekend was like being at Oxford St. Head to other parks, we were at parliament hill...
Beautiful piece of green close to the heart of London.
I guess my expectations might have been to high. Its a nice enough place, but there are many that are far better. I think this place is known more because of its location in Hampstead rather than the grounds themselves.
Having said that I cant really fault the place to be honest.
Wonderful areas with an evenly spaced out fields, streams and forests all combine to create a wonderful feeling for any person and dog. Thus creating a very positive day out
Avoid the cafe on a sunny Sunday lunchtime; the Heath is spectacular.
Favourite park to go for a run and a bit of nature getaway.
Probably the best park in London and it has amazing outdoor swimming facilities
After walking up Kite hill. So just to just lay down n relax
I'm just so lucky to live nearby. It's the best place to go for a walk, a run, to meditate, to play, to walk your dog, to be in contact with nature... And so much more!
Just a wonderful way to enjoy London.
Walk up hill whilst taking in some green and terrific boozers.
Favourites here include The Spainiards Inn and The King William IV
As beautiful as the scenery was and as nice as it was overall I felt all of the walking ultimately led to nothing but more of the same. I couldn't find the massive desk and chair or any ponds and stopped walking for the fear of getting lost.
Fantastic open space for all the family. Beautiful scenery, sports track and excellent children's playground. In the summer even a paddle splash pool for toddlers. In the summer cool down in the open air lido (admission charges apply)
Perfect for a wander, a quiet place to sit and The Pergola is great for photos.
Just a lovely place at any time of the year. Walk, fly kites, swim and snack.
Huge park with swimming ponds. We used the mixed pond. It was amazing and it felt like we were on holiday. Very crowded though and you have to queue to get in.
Best neighborhood in London, just marvelous.
You'll envy those who live there!
A very good place to walk though there could be some MTB trails.
The great outdoors in London. Plenty of space, great views, sports areas for all sorts, playground, athletics track, outdoor swimming pool, swimming ponds and lots to discover on a nice day.
One of the best spots in London to enjoy the outdoors. Once you there you won't believe you are actually in the middle of a city! Grab snacks, company and go catch some rays under the sun and if hot enough you can even swim there in one of the dedicated pools
WOW such an endless incredible green space in Central London. Beautifully kept, lovely walks, restaurants, woodland and open spaces. A lovely space to spend time in the great outdoors.
Lovely open space....and near Kenwood for a coffee and more
Great day out. Lovely part of London - highly recommend.
A lovely park marred by absolutely filthy toilets located in the kids play area. Absolutely filthy. I cannot get over it 2 weeks on. I have never seen anything like it.
Large green space with lots of inclined paths and ponds. Definitely worth a visit for exercise or site seeing.
There is an "ordered wildness" to hampstead heath. Unlike Regents or Hyde parks - this is a heath. Good for rambling, toddling or bumbling along. No-one demands you be anywhere at any particular time. You can arrive by broad Street to Richmond overground train N waddle to the 3 ponds up South hill park road.
Then across to the freemason's arms with its pleasant large garden for a thirst quencher.
More toddling on over to Kenwood or parliament hill. And bus back if your feet are tired.
To paraphrase someone "if you are tired of Hampstead heath - you are tired of life".
Ps - try to ignore the Hampstead-ites. Sadly the village is now bereft of any quaint shops and useful things. It's all chains and more than 13 real estate agents!!!
But, south end green is ok for a coffee and a bun.
Great for walking around in picnics in playing on fields
Beautiful large park with a zoo and a great view from the pergola.
The country in the city, and my favourite city in the country
