New service for utilities, cable, and internet is ...

New service for utilities, cable, and internet is going very well. They came out and ran wiring for the cable and internet, and set it all up for me. It was a super nice guy who was very enthusiastic about his job; come to find out, he was the supervisor (Darrell). The other guy was nice too. I cannot complain about anything. Good service so far!

Absolutely horrible service. They cancelled our cable TV for a year and still have not come out to get it working again, and along with that the cable internet suffered with the same result of no one attempting to fix the issues while we get charged full price. FCC and Utility Commission will be handling this now.

Horrible expensive internet. Extremely slow, no matter what time of the day it is. I will cut the internet, because I find myself consantly switching to the hot spot for other electronics from my phone company. Also very expensive electric bill this year. Ever since the new management started everything has gotton worse and crazy expensive. That is one of the reasons we are moving out of Greenville!!!!

Very dissatisfied with this company. It s been 2 days going on 3 without any electricity. It s not fair to residents as we are obligated to pay to this company as our only option. It s been a slow process of getting things back on and we ve received no communication what so ever about the time process of getting it back on. My first experience with an outage has been terrible.

FANTASTIC Customer Service!! Russ, Cody Myers & a sweet Customer Service rep (unfortunately didn't get her name) were the Dream Team! Each was courteous, informative & easy to talk with about my issue. Cody went out of his way to come out after hours to ensure my internet service was back up & working correctly (issue was not at the fault of Geus). This Grad student in panic mode can now submit assignments this evening! Thank you guys!!

I think Greenville should get out from being monop...

I think Greenville should get out from being monopolized by geus and get an electric company more equipped to respond to such types of power outages. Other companies have huge fleets of trucks and personnel that could increase the possibilities of getting power going again quicker than GEUS has repeatedly failed to do.

Not to mention that having more options increases the chances for us the customer of getting better rates. Other than being stuck with this is the only power option that you can get since clearly your going to need electricity to power most of your needs.

THE WORST ELECTRIC COMPANY EVER!!! I PAID 2 DAYS LATE AND THEY CHARGED ME A $120 FEE! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! THIS IS THE ONLY COMPANY I HAVE EVER HEARD OF THAT DOESNT OFFER A GRACE PERIOD! 3 DAYS DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR FAMILIES WHO ARE STRUGGLING AND WE RATHER PAY A SMALL LATE FEE THAN A $120 ONE. I AM HOPING ANOTHER ELECTRIC COMPANY COMES TO GREENVILLE BECAUSE THIS IS THE ONLY COMPNAY HERE AND THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with when it comes to cable and internet. They finally come out to connect my service and only connects my cable. I had to stop the serviceman to tell him I was also signed up for intrnet. He got like it agitated him and called it in. He hooked my internet but only gave a modem. I asked him if I get a router and he told me I had to get one on my own which no one told me when I called to get the service connected. So I finally get a router only to find out the modem doesn't work they supplied me. But I'm sure there gonna charge me for the internet I haven't used yet!!

Extortion..This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with(I'm ex-military so I have lived all over the U.S and abroad), when it comes to customer service, and just outright gouging. I believe everyone having trouble with this company should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and city council. GEUS needs to be investigated and the way they conduct business should not be allowed to continue. The monopoly should be stopped. Short cycling customers, charging extra fees and extra deposits should be and probably is illegal on the level they are doing it. This is just plain extortion
I know businesses that have shut down in this town because of GEUS. I also have to ask why there is never enough bandwidth for anything streaming, I can't get HBO GO or any of the other on demand channels, the prices are premium, so these should be included, GEUS cable needs to update soon or this is going to become a very big issue for them
UPDATE... In answer to a more recent reviewers statement, I would be happy to " take time to write a positive review" I've written over 80 reviews almost all of them are positive, I believe that a review should reflect the overall experience, a bad experience equals a bad review, and vice versa, enough said.

Over the summer my electric doubles. This is ridiculous! I'm a single mother with 2 kids. I can't afford a 300 dollar electric bill for us! We are never home and I never change my thermostat. We need more th an one electric company here so we have opitions! You guys are going to run everyone out of Greenville!

if you deal with the witches in the greenville office make sure you record your conversations which is legal in texas as long as your part of the conversation. This is the 5th time ive been told one thing and they have done another and they all have attitudes the after hours and main number not to this building they are actually nice. but locally all you get is false information.

If you have any other choice of Electrical Company use them. Geus will try to wring as much money out of you as possible. Example: They are five minutes from my house and they waited until 5:05 p.m. to turn my electricity back on so they could charge me a $35 fee.

I'm so disappointed with this company! The account was under me and my brother the bill came with me and my brothers name. I went to change the account to me and my husband paid 220 as deposit plus the other deposit for water and internet just to find out that my husband is not added to the bill. I talked to a rep and he just made me more angry. Not happy at all!!

I wouldn t even give them 1 star. Geus is a terrible electric company and their customer service representatives are extremely unprofessional and have monotone when calling about power outage or anything else problem wise. When getting prepaid you are signing into a 12 month lease, but Geus representatives fail to inform you. When having a problem it takes them hours before getting a response or a resolution. It always problem after problem with them. Overall I would say someone needs to come up with a better electric company, that actually accompanies the customers needs or Geus needs to hire better staff.

Absolutely horrible Internet speeds. I pay for 30mbps but routinely get 1-2 Mbps during peak times (evenings). Trying to watch YouTube videos can be even worse. This indicates to me that they don't have the capacity to serve the customers that they have despite charging high prices.

A GEUS employee entered into my backyard through a gate unlawfully to take my meter. My bill has always been paid on time. I was not moving. I had a breaker arcing in my current electrical panel. I also discovered was a zinsco panel which is a huge fire hazard....and at this point an immediate fire hazard due to the arcing. I contacted an electrician for emergency services. The permit office is closed due to COVID and unresponsive to calls. I had a choice to either let my house burn down, live without electricity (and risk losing my job since I have to work from home) or get it fixed and have permitting come out whenever they decide to return to work. The meter was already disconnected for safety purposes. GEUS decided to respond to this situation by breaking into my backyard to take the disconnected meter. It s unfortunate we are in a municipality and have to deal with crooked practices.

Don't pay attention to all the negative reviews. People are quick to flock and complain but of the tens of thousands of customers who will take the time to write something positive? I have lived all over the United States and this company is by far the best. Extremely easy to set up service, fair prices and immaculate customer service. Had my internet go out and within two hours they came out and fixed it. Didn't understand my first bill and and Patricia with customer service explained it to me perfectly. I spent a lot of time in Iraq so I keep my AC down extremely low and have six kids. With a water sprinkler system that goes off every night and tons of appliances my bill has always been extremely fair. This company definitely deserves a 5-star rating I couldn't be happier.

If you pay your bills on time you typically avoid a lot of issues the complainers have.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Rude condescending and 0 help no explanation or time frame when service is out. If you can get through to a real person at all.Which is unlikely at best! Today the power went out at 8:30 am give or take a few minutes I called to see how large an area was affected. As to weigh my options on needing to get a hotel room so my retired mother doesn't cook in the summer heat, only to remain on hold for almost a half hour (after my 3rd call) only to get through to the operator 10 seconds after power was restored, then being told (they were working on "something ") I then said how unhappy I was for no explanation of why it was out in first place in which I was told "you can go file a complaint with the city" then being basically hung up on.. yes people this is your one local power supplier. And futher more why file a complaint it will go nowhere and they know it. A little over a year ago the meter reader pepper sprayed my MOTHER'S 3 pound rescued elderly chihuahua in the face through her 6ft chain link fence for yapping at him! And after numerous calls from us she has yet to hear or see a sincere apology or even response from GEUS and after filing a complaint with the city and recieving not so much as a call back from the city either. I'd say it's safe to say the I scratch your back you scratch mine good old boy mantality is alive and well in texas. Because so far GUES is the textbook example of a monopoly which operates with complete impunity over its customers needs.1 star is too good of a rating for GEUS.

This electric company sucks ass if i had the choice of another company i would leave as quick as possible. Customer service is so terrible they had me on hold forever and i went to sleep and i woke up and still was on hold. They are messing up with my internet talking about my account was on hold but i paid my bill so how is that possible. Never ever again! I hate it!

Absolutely terrible utility company. They ve monopolized the areas utilities forcing all who live in the area to use outdated prices and utilities. They make it insanely difficult to even view your bill because they want you to go paperless but then don t send your bill to your email, they only send your total to the app, not the bill, just the dollar amount of what you owe (Apple app). I m so fed up with this company, I ve lived in Greenville my entire life and it makes no sense that a town this big only has one company that can provide electricity

IF there was a possible way to not put any starts- I'd do that!!! Terrible customer service, THE ONLY electric company in Greenville so we have NO other options!! Prices extremely high and I will move out of Greenville to avoid doing business with these liars and crooks. I see some positive feed back but honestly, i'm astonished these ppl are still in business with all these negative reports. Customer service rep gave incorrect information over the phone and Mr. Dickey confirmed it was incorrect information but also was not helpful.

Update: to whom ever responded. I have had numerous encounters with your company and it s always a stressful headache. I pray another electric company comes to Greenville and shows GEUS what customer service is and how to treat/value your customers. 1.8 rating is too high of a rating, in my opinion. I have reviewed your policies and they are in place to make you more money with no considerations for your customers.

Horrible services. Contacted multiple times with no contact back. I am paying for the gold internet package (50mbps) and constantly receive less than 10mbps. Absolutely insane. And it s 70 dollars a month. If we could get spectrum here I wound have been swapped. But it s somewhat of a monopoly so spectrum doesn t have lines to my apartment at majors place.

If there was a way to give 0 stars, I would! This place is AWFUL! Absolutely horrible. They are extremely rude, not helpful at all. When your service doesn't work properly, they don't care. They won't try to fix it or find the problem without charging you $100+ in fees-- mind you it is THEIR service that isn't working! Not to mention the ridiculous fees and extra charges they put on our electric bill every month. Some months we BARELY use our air/heat and sometimes we use it a lot! It is funny how our bill goes up and down completely DISREGARDING our usage! Some months we use a ton and it costs a ton while others it is even less than the months we barely use anything! I believe they enter random numbers and charge what they want depending on what they need. We will move out of Greenville primarily due to this one company! Someone else come in & take this over!! Please!!!

This is the worst electric company I've ever used! We have been at our resident for 3 years and the electric keeps going up. It's doubled from what we paid when we first moved in. Where are house is falls on a side of Greenville that only has geus for an electric company. Therefore, they treat us however they want because we can't do anything. This last month we had a 460 dollar electric bill!! Our electric has never came close to that! It's outrageous!! Theres nothing new in our home that would validate this high of a bill. Once we had a high water bill because we got a pool and had to fill it and I understood. I would understand if something was a cause of it but there isn't anything. They came to "test" our metor and then said there was nothing wrong with it but gave us a new one. Why give us a new one if there was nothing wrong with the old one?! I asked them if they can send me the readings of the test or any form that proves they did a test and that there wasn't anything wrong with it. They said they can't do anything but tell me verbally there's nothing wrong with it. That is ridiculous. How do I know they're not just telling me there's nothing wrong with it? And again why give me a new metor if the other one was perfectly fine? We are now looking for homes away from Greenville just so we are not forced any longer to use this scam of a company.

This is the most horrible electric company I ve ever used. Our bill is over $360 the last couple months which is double what it was. And we have a small house under 1200sf! Nothing has changed as far as how much energy we use, we are very conservative. If you are considering moving to Greenville, think again. This is the only Electric company that Greenville has, and therefore they can be as crooked as they want because there s nothing we can do about it... I m considering leaving Greenville because of these outrageous prices and crooked company, and 3 other families I know are too. Geus, you should be ashamed of yourself for taking advantage of the citizens here simply because you can!

If I could leave less of score I would. These people lie, they will fo anything to get over on people due to the fact that these quacks are the only provider in Greenville. They are rude, they will hang up on you, they will say they are going to do something and never do it. They will mess up and something and still disconnect services and not take fault for it but somehow connection is turned back on

I don't even be home through the day. I nake it home around 5 pm. I have nothing on or running and my bill is still 385.00 or more each month. This is so sad. Then they made me pay additional deposit. I only have electricity and water. I think they charge what they want.

This is by far the most horrible service provider of electricity and cable service I ve ever seen and I mean that passionately. Not only are you overcharged but the signal for cable is constantly going out, the WiFi goes on and off every other minute and with all the problems your not offered any account credits but expected to pay for trash services. Can t wait to see the day a class action lawsuit begins so people can get back the time and money they ve thrown away. GEUS doesn t even deserve the one star I gave but deserves a thumbs down from every customer who pays for this trash!!!

Called to let them know electric was out in 104 degree weather and the nasty lady that answered basically told me the crew dont want to be out in the heat either....It is your job to let people know what is going on lady and it is their job to be working on the electric...that is why they chose to work in that profession. They have 0 customer service and if there was another company I sure would switch..

GEUS is absolutely the worst! I paid my bill ( an outrageous $253) at 8 am ..was told they would be here with in an hour to turn my electric on.. Here it is 12pm and still no electric! We are currentley under a heat advisory warning and I have two small children in the house! This is absolute BS! If you can avoid using GEUS do it!! Aside from the heat getting to my kids ..i have about 150 pounds of meat in the freezer that is thawing as I type! I have half of mind to load it all up and put it the GEUS doorstep!

Cancelled cable service and told I have to pay for a months service that I am not receiving - then they will credit my account the following month. This is unheard of! They don't know how to prorate something or give credit in the month it is due?! Very poor service from this company.

This place is absolutely ridiculous and to be treated like I m an idiot by the customer service lady because somehow the electric (and only electric) is half the price of our rent when it is just my husband and myself is stupid. The way I was treated the whole time is beyond insane. Because they re the only option for pretty much anything in Greenville they don t care about people. If I had known this was going to happen I would never have moved here.

The worst Internet on the market. we had the 100 mg service. its not consistent, lags, drops off. I assume its throttling. no ISP can be this bad can it? not to mention they want 100$ for 100 mgs. i switched over to Spectrum and got the high end Gigbit service which is 940 mgs for the same price. talk about ripping people off. if you want good internet dont call these people.

Yep, no notice. 1st time late. No email. No text. No letter. Nothing. They turned everything off. Horrible customer service. Gentleman on the phone was wonderful, polite and helpful. Now I just have to wait for the technician to turn it back on and pay for after hours service call. I guess when your the only option in town you can do whatever you want.

Follow up, technician was wonderful, polite, and quick. The employees I spoke with were wonderful. What happened to billing and the folks who think they need to cut off service in under 14 days without notice. You are dispicable. I don't know how you sleep at night.
