Johnny Apples Bar and Restaurant Review

This is without a doubt the friendliest place to stop for happy hour or nice cocktail alone or with friends. The staff and clientele are truly nice people. Great drink and appetizers all the time but, happy hour 4pm to 6pm weekdays and 7pm to 9pm Sundays offer a great deal. Sit and enjoy an age appropriate crowd in a nice clean smoke free environment. Looking forward to the spring. The new huge deck bar and tables overlook the nicest backdrop in all of Bucks county. Stay for dinner or watch a game on the many big screens inside or outside. I've had parties here and have always been very happy with the food, service, price and atmosphere. If you haven't been there in a while it's worth stopping back to see the newly renovated dining room and the awesome deck bar.

poor service had to ask 3 times before someone came over and the apps are half price on Friday night but worth it. We had 4 different apps and lets just say I couldn't eat them.

Family owned and operated where everyone feels like family! Great food and service.

The service was terrible, and the food took very long to arrive. The appetizers we ordered never made it to the table, only the main course came. The dessert was too sweet (chocolate moon cake). Would not recommend.

I ordered over the phone and went to pick up the turkey dinner OMG it was so good and so much I have another meal for tomorrow. The string beans were out of the world and so was everything thing else and the door to car service was excellent. All and all very very good.

Ordered 4 small plates to split and barely was able to finish one. Bacon wrapped scallops were drenched in a neon yellow holandaise sauce .I m not even sure if there was actually scallops wrapped in the bacon. If they were there , they were very small. The bacon was burnt . The crab and spinach dip looked like soup and had about 4 small pieces of spinach and the chips that were served with it tasted like they were left sitting uncovered in the kitchen since the beginning of quarantine. The shrimp tacos with Asian slaw were actually 2 shrimp the size of my finger nail and served with Cole slaw most likely bought at Aldi. The cheesesteak egg rolls were burnt and tasted like the oil they were fried in was in the fryer since the 80s. Our server Cathy was miserable and didn t even say thank you or have a nice day . Cathy instead of asking how are food was when she noticed everything sitting on the table almost untouched asked me 3 times if I wanted to bring anything home. I wasn t looking for a free meal but an apology would have been nice . The bartender was very nice though .

Waitress was nice.
We were quickly seated by the hostess.
The soup was good.
My veal marsala was ehhh.
My husband ordered seafood scampi.
It was in more of a blush sauce and not garlicky at all.
We were with friends and it was their treat, and we felt odd saying anything at all to our server. So we just smiled and said thank you.
I doubt that I will be back to this establishment in the future.

Very nice, was there for my Grandpas memorial lunch and the staff was amazing and good food

Food is very good. The wait staff is attentive. Was very disappointed that the wall between the restaurant and bar was partially taken down and the restaurant was very noisy. It used to be a nice quiet cozy room. That was a disappointment. If you want a nice quiet place to to have a conversation this is no longer the place, at least not on a Friday night.

The food was salty and it taste like bad cafeteria food. Service was slow.

Nice place, sat outside. A couple negatives. 1 people can smoke out there. 2 it gets super hot on half the bar. Good food, nice servers and bartenders

The bathrooms were so cold it left you shivering in the dining room when you came back to the table. We ordered clams casino, they were not very good. Tasted as if something was missing. The cheesecake did not taste very fresh, instead tasted a few days old at the least. Service was excellent or server was attentive and prompt. She was the best part of our experiance.

First time here. Great meal. Will definitely be back!

You must spend a fall afternoon/evening out at the large deck bar. Enjoy the changing colors of the leaves as deer run the large pond. Great views.

We all got the scallops. Broiled ot fried. They were a good size, lots of them and everything was delicious. Great place.

Went there for a specific entree. Their menu changed, much smaller, had to ask for what I wanted, bit pricier. Disappointed. Service was ok. Will try again.

Excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent service. Friendly bartender. A really nice place. Reasonably priced. I could not ask for anything more. Looking forward to seeing them again during the next round of tournaments.

This place never lets you down! I live 1 mile away so I m super lucky but if your reading this get in your car and take a ride you won t be disappointed!

I only went there for lunch three or four times but they have good sandwiches at a fair price. Nice outside deck and friendly, very good bartender.

Owner/family operated and beautiful large bar/restaurant. Great food & drinks, but locals go to The Apple for friendship and fun. Also a great place to meet others and to network.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff but food was hit or miss. Apps were underseasoned but entree (filet mignon) was excellent. Staff was very accommodating of our large party but they seemed understaffed. My drink order was missed three times and my husband had to go to the bar to get his drink.

I want to go back for dinner on a less hectic night to see how it is.

I haven't been there since it reopened. Others have told me the service was terrible and the bar full of crumbs when they were there. I tried it with a friend anyway. Each of us got a drink at the bar when we got there and then sat at a bar table. There was only an average of 10-12 people in the bar area. We were there for 2 hrs and 15 minutes and NEITHER the bartender or waitress sitting at the bar talking to customers asked us ONCE if we wanted another drink. For 2 1/2 hours!!!! We stayed just to see how long it would take. Others we spoke to at the bar said that is typical. The bartender was one of the owners, too. Really? I will not be back there unless it opens in the future with new owners who realize they are in the customer service business.

Really good food! Cool outside. Bartender was very cool too. Good specials the muscles white were very good but a bit pricey on drinks.

I live local so we go here occasionally. It has a Great Atmosphere and bar food, but not so much if you are going for dinner. We got there before 6 on a Sat night and there were only a few tables. While the server was extremely pleasant, she wasn t all that attentive. I had the prime rib and it was absolutely the worst I have ever eaten. I ordered it rare and I received well done. It was obviously pre-packaged and was cold (no not cool red center) cold like out of the refrigerator cold, but it was served on a nice hot plate. I never send food back, but would have this time except the server was MIA. My companions all said their food was good, Very disappointing evening. Next time I ll stick with the bar food.

The pork chop dinner was awesome and so generous in the portions they served you. I had a whole dinner leftover the next day. Can't wait to go back. Service and setting of the tables was excellent. Was a great experience. The fellow that served us was very attentive and extremely nice. Can't say enough about this place. You have to experience this wonderful restaurant.

Was out first time at Johnny Apples. Was a nice bar and grill. Michelle and Ali too good care of our party. Cool to know how old the building is and will definitely be back.

Split bill between 2 cards at inside bar on a dead slow Tuesday night. I got charged the entire bill, my freind got charged 1/2 of entire bill $200 plus bill

Food is great!! Best Sunday night happy hour in town! Brussels sprouts were fantastic, great drink specials, delicious steak and seafood egg rolls. Allison was a great bartender!!!

This is my wife and I's place for almost 20 years. The staff know the regulars by name, the prices are reasonable, the food is great, and the clientele are just right. LOVE Johnny Apple's.

This was a unique experience for me. As an out of towner, used to a metropolitan ambiance, the restaurant is very clean however the decorations threw me off. I was very skeptical and ordered a tuna melt, to my surprise, it was delicious. I'll give it a 10!!

The Best Bar-Restaraunt around. Fun place to hang out!!

The food was very good. Our only issue was the waitress seemed to be lost. Waited a while for our drinks and half were wrong.
