We chose to come here for our anniversary and ended up enjoying one of the best and most memorable meals we've had in a long time. The staff was warm and attentive. Every item we ordered was delicious and the cocktails were truly exceptional. Even the chef came out with a treat and wished us a happy anniversary. Be adventurous. You won't be disappointed. Can't wait to comeback.

We went for dinner. The venue is original and the food interesting and well prepared. Hamachi and Brussells sprouts as starters followed by striped bass and duck. All very enjoyable. Service was swift and friendly. Unfortunately I ding them 2 stars for a cook in the open plan kitchen touching prepared food with his bare hands and not wearing a mask. Sorry, not to be picky, but in these Covid 19 times that's a bit insensitive. Otherwise I would recommend it.

Matt & Mike gave us a little education about about the different varieties of Bourbons, we also had taste in the tasting room. Matt was so fun a has a big personality, love his energy.

We went on to the restaurant bar area. We stopped to talk to the hostess and she was not friendly at all, she seemed rather annoyed, and I m not sure why.

It was quite busy, we met some of the locals, met one of the chefs and that was fun. We stepped up and ordered some cocktails. I ordered the old fashion. It was just OK. I wasn t very excited about it at all, and it truly was not worth $16 for that cocktail. I felt a bit ripped off. The gentleman that made our cocktails were super nice and he was very talented. Jolene who is one of the waitresses was also super friendly.

We have been there a few times but we ve never eaten, we wanted to take our friends to share the distillery. It has grown a lot, the patio looks fun for summertime.

We ended up calling Taylor the shuttle driver to take us back into town. He was so fun and had a great experience with him, so kudos to Taylor.

I WOULD go back but I would find something besides a old fashion.

Stopped in on our cross country road trip. While we didn't have time for the tour unfortunately, we did try a couple of tastings. Chloe helped pick out some great options, especially the distillery-exclusive spirits. She was amazing! Loved the Aquavit, pear vodka and gin. Flavored vodkas aren't your college days sugary, what can get me tipsy fastest. Everything is carefully thought out, not sweet, and unique. Restaurant is attractive, patio is dog friendly, what's there not to love about this place?!? Wish we had more time.

A completely cool place with a tasting room plus a restaurant. We had craft cocktails and the deviled eggs plus pork rinds, freshly crackling from the fryer. I'm a southern girl so I dearly love all of the above. Each was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Really cool place with some great whiskeys! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Very unique interior and decorations. Food was great and served quickly. No wait staff so you will have to stand in line to order. It would have made sense to have one place for food orders and one place to order drinks or at least one spot that is a bit more accessible so your not crowding people into a corner behind people already sitting at the bar. The staff for the whiskey tasting were very knowledgeable and seem fairly genuine. The $15 dollar drink that I order didn't really impress, and would have only impressed if it was served in a pint glass as opposed to the oversized thimble.

We have enjoyed going to the distillery over the past 3 years. Things appear to be deteriorating, quickly. The staff are rushing you through your meal, constantly badgering you to remove dishes before they are complete. Food quality is declining.

$7 upcharge for exchanging asparagus for fries? It s not about the money, but the upcharge of asparagus instead of fries (which are also $7)
Yup, $25 hamburger on an English muffin...lol

I ve been in the valley for 21yrs and won t be back until it s under new management or a new owner has purchased the restaurant.

I m not sure about you, but I rely on the server to be up-front when ordering, so I do not have to take time from friends and family to exam a menus fine print .

It s not about the money, it s about the principle.

Everything was bad. The tasting was bad. The tour was bad. The drinks were bad. The products are bottom shelf. Don t let them kid you. This stuff is NOT high quality. We didn t pay up for the $10 tasting because we only wanted to try one or two things...none of those things were offered to us. Don t overpay for these products. Better products are available for less. And don t bother with the tour, it s the worst distillery tour I ve ever been on.

I cried after my experience at Breckenridge Distillery. My whole day was ruined after one of the staff members told me that he would give me a pickle to eat referring to his private parts after letting me know that there was no seating available in the dining area. I felt so disrespected and in shock that the staff would have such litte respect for women. I would not recommend a visit to Breckenridge Distillery to any one.

Just had dinner and it was Amazing! We had Katie as a server and she provided a very comfortable dinning experience. Also I grew up in New Eangland and their clam chowder was definetly something to write home about.

My dad has had a deep love for Breckenridge booze for a long time. This was my first time visiting Colorado and of course we had to go see where all the liquid candy comes from. The ambiance of the entire facility was laid back and fun, especially all the Wes Anderson stuff (I m a huge fan too, woohoo!) I had an Old Fashioned, played some jumbo Connect Four, bought some vodka, and called it a day. Awesome experience.

This is a great distillery tour. They picked us up for free and took us to the distillery. For $10.00 you can taste lots of samples. If you like the higher proof stuff, be sure to ask about those samples when you check in. While you wait for your tour to start, head over to the bar, and get a hand crafted drink. We tried the Old Fashioned, and the Bees Knees. They were both very good! They have a restaurant on site as well, so if you come hungry, you'll have lots of options here.

Very disappointing visit after my first visit being so great! This time tour guide was not knowledgeable at all! Restaurant fiasco, too....Ran out of what we ordered but served the same item to the people that ordered after us ( and got served before us). When all this was brought to the attention of the man checking us out he said, Oh, that is unfortunate, have a good rest of your day . Won t spend my time at this distillery again!

this place was excellent. service was 100%. the moscow mule was sub par as F in my opinion. no flavor or vibrancy. needs more ginger.
bacon was far out and made me speechless. mushroom pasta needed more more mushrooms. noodles were fantastic. short rib was melt in your mouth supple. yum. the vibe was spectacular, and just what i needed. a few tweaks to the menu would go far. ....

Drinks were ok, Food was nothing special, seemed like it was sitting out for a while, maybe even the day before, but like a previous reviewer said, the bartender with longer dark hair and tattoos didn't bother to acknowledge us... Yes, we were too, Tourists. I saw the bartender walk back into the kitchen and grab a peace of food and just pop it in his mouth, Pretty sure he knew I was looking.. Disrectful-- I like 99% of the ppl we met on our trip to Breckenridge.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted to go to the distillery for dinner. We tried to get reservations but none were available. We messaged them and asked if there were cancellations..we would gladly take it. Ashley was so kind and wrote back quickly.
We were able to get a table and it was perfect!
The food was great. The drinks were fabulous and the entire experience could not have been better.
They went far and above what they could have done.
We highly recommend visiting.
Thank you Ashley, Sean and Joel.

The hostess was one of the rudest people I have ever met. The online reservation system would only let you make a reservation for six people max so when we showed up with our reservation with seven people, the hostess completely lost it and was incredibly rude. There was only one family in the whole place and all of the other tables were empty. She made it such a huge ordeal that she had to get two other people to discuss it before they would let us sit down. And when we finally did get to sit down 20 minutes later she had is crammed up against the wall so there was four people on one side of three tables pushed together. She kept commenting on the 7 plus a high chair over and over to another coworker who is just as rude as she was. In addition the hostess was drenched in cannabis oil and smelled terrible. My 11-year-old son asked if there was a skunk inside the building.

As if she wasn t bad enough the trout my wife and I ordered was brought to her as salmon. The dish I ordered never showed up. Breckenridge is really going downhill quickly what some of these tourist hating rude potheads. Hate to break it to you locals but it s the tourist money that provide you a job and allows your town to function get over yourself and take a shower.

Great time with adults party. Nice drinks and creative dinner plates. Not really child-friendly with few options on the menu and absolutely no information concerning vegan or food allergies options. We had a little tough time getting my children something.
Waitress was very nice, but took a long time to give us options for kids.
So, if you have food restrictions or children, might look elsewhere for dining options.
Unless, Management starts taking care of this gap in the menu. Looking forward to see some changes!

Cocktails are exquisite. Big-city chef experience in heart of the mountains. Food is absolutely divine and the retail shop has a great selection of merch. Everything down to the candle scents. Impressive distillery operation. Would highly recommend a visit.

We had a great time on our tour of the distillery with Eric. We were able to sample all of the availabe products they had and even try a few that are still in deveiopment. If you enjoy bourbon, rum or vodka make time to stop by for a tour.

What a fun place to have dinner! They serve tapas style plates that are all great. If your looking for a place to go with the family or group of friends that create great environment for conversations. There isn't much parking in their lot but they are handicap accessible. The food is well sourced for quality and then you get to the whiskey. They do make you pay for tasting their higher grade spirits, but to taste their standard whiskey is free. They also have lots of different items in the shop that make great gifts for the spirit lover in the family.

Their one good product is their Bourbon, avoid the others

We're turned off after going to their tasting. It was so small they shouldn't be doing tours, or at least schedule then so it's not so cramped.

Only good thing was they mentioned Broken Compass uses their barrels.

Thoughts:
Spiced Bourbon: A little sweet, they said that they added sugar, it's different if they distill spices but anyone can do this at home for 2-3 days

Rum: Overwhelmingly sweet on my palate, like rum with simple syrup added.

Chile: very fruity but again sweet. Ending spicy but off

Vodka: Harsh for high end 5x distilled
Bitter/Appertief: There was an overwhelming note in the middle, it is complex but after two sips both of us couldn't finish

Overall, I don't think we'll be buying their product because they don't have a high quality control, or they do but need to keep working on it (and expanding to allow it)

OMG this place is amazing. We stopped by for the tour and did the spirits flight before the tour. Everything was terrific. We stayed for drinks after the tour and Liz and Connor took great care of us, so much so we went back for evening drinks (thx to Connor's brother, Griffin) with appetizers and tried almost every drink on the menu and everything was great, I'm not sure they actually put alcohol in them because they were mixed with magic... and love

So I m a regular Breck Bourbon and gin drinker. I brought 6 buddies to share the experience and I have to say...no wonderful. Slow and seemingly burdensome service, expensive cocktails and a little too pretentious for what I know as a good easy drinking affordable bottle.

Also, one of the tasting room reps told me that the whiskey was distilled in CO which is entirely untrue. It s even says so on the bottle.

Pretty disappointed!

Went to The Breckenridge Distillery for my husband's birthday. If you plan on going make a reservation. You can make the reservation via their webpage. Despit looking huge from the outside, the seating area inside is smaller. The high ceilings I think give this sense that it is really big. Love the decor - natural wood, and metal dominate the interior with one area (bar) having glass garage doors that they open up in the summer. The other area adjacent to the bar where you can also eat has an entire wall of white subway tile. The artworknis electic which pays homage to the likes of Star Wars, Wu Tang, and Steve Zissou. The service even when busy is good. We try and stop in each time we happen to be in town. We started with the Obi Wan Old Fashioned. I love this particular cocktail because of the brandy soaked cherry at the bottom. The Distillery only serves liquor based drinks from their own brand. You will not find wine or beer here. Their drink menu is well thought out and has many bourbon and vodka craft cocktails. We had the octupus appetizer along with the clothesline bacon. Both were amazing. The bacon is tasty, it hits onnthe sweet, salty, and savory all at once. The octupus looks like a work if art when presented on the plate and it was well cooked and not rubbery! I had the rigatoni bolognese and my husband had the pork chop. The bolognese was flavorful and the pasta was al dente. The pork chop was served with a corn fritter and seasonal vegetable medley. Both mains were great. All of the dishes that are served here can be shared, so don't feel bad about asking for plates to share. The menu changes seasonally which I appreciate because you always have an opportunity to try something new. For dessert we had a banana chocolate torte that came with a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream. I also asked for a scoop of the vegan chocolate ice cream. The torte was amazing and creamy. But for me, I really enjoyed the vegan chocolate ice cream. It was all served in the same plate with cookie crunch beneath. It is very rich a couple of bites and you are good. The meal was not cheap, but it was worth it!

Breck Distillery was excellent. We had great drinks and the food was very good. The service on the patio was perfect and my daughter was even given cheese cake pops as a surprise. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed with outdoor games. Very cool place.

This place is amazing! The drinks, staff, and food are so fantastic we had to come back the next day! Their facility is beautiful (loved the Star Wars + Wes Anderson film art), the staff is very knowledgable and friendly, and the food (especially the fries) are unforgettable. The drinks though, is why this place is a must! They're delicious and generous (in alcohol). They're absolutely worth the price. Thank you for a wonderful experience and a great tour!

In Colorado with little snow, so my group decided to look for breweries and distilleries to tour. My group wanted to check out the Breckenridge Distillery. Their website said that tours started at 11am. My group arrived at 10:40am and we had to wait outside in 30 degree weather for 20 minutes. We watched employees stand around inside while we waited in the cold. At 11, an employee unlocked the door but did not even bother to open the door or welcome us. We were hoping for a tour but all they seemed to offer was a tasting, which would only start 30 mins later. The service here is rude and unprofessional.

I like all of their products. I love their bourbon. Their tour is a bit basic but they give you a tasting of each of their products. They have lots of neat merchandise but it is over-priced. The cocktail bar outside is a good way to try their products in mixes.

If I could give zero stars, I would. BBQ was days old. Hard, cold ribs. Good flavor if you could get over they were old and cold. Cole slaw was spoiled, bubbling. Staff could care less about the cold food and the spoiled food. Not even an apology or an offer to make it right. One of the worst places I've ever visited in the world! Don't spend a penny there. They don't care and don't deserve your hard earned money.

Horribly run kitchen ruined a nice atmosphere. I waited an hour for food only to find out they lost my ticket.

*Edit- Everybody has bad days, and I trust that I must have caught them on one of theirs. Can't beat their bourbon, and the atmosphere and aesthetic are great. I'll give them another shot in the future.

Will not be returning one of the worst dining experience I ve ever had. Made reservations at 2:30 on a Friday and before we could even order we were informed the kitchen and bar close at 3 and were rushed to order. After we got our drinks we were informed 2 more times by the waiter that we needed to leave soon and then had the manager come to inform us that they are shutting down at 3 and they began to sweep and clean the restaurant and had the entire staff watching us waiting for us to leave. Did not even have enough time for everyone to drink their drinks before we felt so uncomfortable we left.

Why let people make reservations if you re just going to rush and kick them out 30 minutes after sitting down??

The spirits are honestly sub par. Excellent for a mix but that's about it. The food is very good but they have this whole family style thing that does not work quite as they intend it. Maybe offer more family style options for entrees that are not pasta and steaks.

The bartenders and cocktails were the main reason we stayed at the bar. The "Porterhouse for 2" was the reason we spent much more than we would have back home. This piece of meat was cooked to PERFECTION. The bartenders made the experience super enjoyable and knowledgeable. Will be back next season specifically incorporating this resturant.

The staff was fantastic. We had deviled eggs- which had a nice hint of horseradish, carrott ginger bisque- which was phenomenal, a pear greens salad, and the special Mac and cheese. Drinks, were as expected; fantastic.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will be recommending this place to all my friends.

One of the fastest growing distilleries on US soil for good reason. The tour was top notch; given by a very knowledgeable employee who explained the various intricacies that makes their bourbon unique. Includes a gift shop with glassware, clothing, and spirits.

First, bartenders are pretentious douchebags. Upon leaving, friend asked retail shop employee if all spirits were distilled here, co worker answered yes. This is a lie. Whilst they do distill some products here, lots is produced elsewhere and "elevated" at the distillery. Another co-worker stopped him from speaking and informed him, "you're about to get yourself in trouble." As she saw me getting visibly upset about the lie. She then explained they do source some barrels. To which the offensive co-worker answered, "You gotta make money".
This establishment exists solely to RIP off tourists. Don't go.

We were rushed and clearly unwanted guest. Super weird and uncomfortable experience. Made a reservation for five people, just for drinks, because we had tried to get in a couple days before but they had no table.
Our server told us at the very beginning the kitchen was closing soon, so we needed to order quickly. We told him that was fine we just wanted a couple drinks no food. He checks his phone (did this after talking to us almost every time) doesn't take our drink order, and then leaves. We sat there until his manager saw us.

Later he comes back and told us they were technically closed so I asked "just the kitchen right? Or the bar too" and he just say "we could get you some drinks" . That answer didn't tell me if the kitchen was closed like he has said several times before or if they were fully closed the restaurant bar included.

And then his manager came over and they both kinda flanked us at the table, I felt very uncomfortable, and his manager reiterated that the kitchen was closing and we needed to put our food order in. So basically our server went and told him, we weren't ordering and brought him over, after we had already told our server several we did not want food. We told the manager we did not want food, and he was fine with this and left, but the server was still there and asked "so are you getting food?" I honestly don't know how many times we told him we didn't want food just drinks.

I don't know why he wasn't actually listening to us. It was very clear he wanted us to leave. We literally had one drink were there for 30ish minutes, not even an hour. Two people in our group were late and felt so uncomfortable they didn't even want to finish their drinks they just wanted to leave.

The server did make us check out early because he had to go on break, and that if we wanted more it would be under a different server. This is fine everyone needs a break and we didn't care about switching servers. However if he could do that why was he acting like we were keeping him? And why was he not listening to us/ask if we wanted food, if he was ready to leave no food would be easier and quicker for him? Also why allow reservation 30 minutes before closing? The drinks were good and we just wanted to sit and relax

I m a new fan. The bourbon has been my go to for a couple years, so I had to visit. We were too late for a tour but the restaurant was excellent service was insightful.

Also, the GIN WAS AWESOME.

The tour was short but very informative. The drinks at the bar are delicious - if they are too delicious, they will give you a ride to anywhere within Breckinridge and you can pick your car up the next morning. The food is good enough to be a stand alone restaurant. Awesome atmosphere-cool art on the walls. A must for anyone visiting Breck-even if you are not a lover of fine spirits.

Excellent food and cocktails. The empanadas were amazing. Me and my wife stopped in here on our way back from a nice hike. Loss of a star is because they were charging 10$ for a single 2oz pour during a tasting for their high end liquors (Single Barrel Bourbon). Excellent bourbon, would have bought a bottle if I didn t have to pay so much just to taste it.

The drinks at the Breckenridge Distillery are beyond amazing. There are 13 of us and we probably tried everything. Lots of sharing to cultivate conversation and my personal bliss, the Pearfect Mule is incredible and unusual. Cudos to Billie Kieithley. We are all in heaven thanks to you!

An absolute gem and experience outside the chaos of "downtown Breck." We went to Breckenridge Distillery on a weekday afternoon. We quickly discovered this place is a trap! The tour and tasting was so informative and interesting. Between the tour guides and the top notch spirits you're a fan from the start!

Then comes the bar....... Our bartender, Spliffy, took us on a wild journey through everything Breckenridge Distillery had to offer. We laughed, we drank, we explored flavor profiles, we shared stories, we ate top notch food, we lost track of time, and we fell in love with Breckenridge Distillery!

This place is everything a brewery/distillery/tasting room (anything alcohol) should be. We had the time of our life and left feeling like we were part of the Breckenridge Distillery family! We planned on spending an hour here, we were here for 5 hours!

I can't comment on the evening doings of B.D. I can however say this is a place not to be missed on your trip to Breck!

My husband's mule was so lovely and unusual we will make them at home. Our steak was superb! The gin is so fragrant and floral I actually enjoy it so much we also procured some of that. Because of the sale we came home with more than a case in addition to other goodies. We've been customers since the distillery opened when they had just the vodka and it's been so exciting to experience all the new offerings along the way. It's never a disappointment.

Whether you are looking for artisanal beverages or good food in a cool setting, the distillery has you covered. The distilled drinks here are very good, notably the bourbon and spiced whiskey. You can do a tasting at the tasting room, but for the best experience, head over to the restaurant where you can get awesome cocktails, drinks on the rocks, and good food all in a neat setting. The space feels almost like an artsy barn or hangar with a high peaked roof and art - much of it Bill Murray focused - covering the walls. For take home bottles of the liquor, you ll have to hit the tasting room, but the restaurant and bar are good places to try it out first. The food here is worth a visit alone with upscale appetizers and a farm to table focused menu.

Wanted to do a taste testing and purchase a bottle for later. We have already had and loved the regular whiskey which we can purchase at home. We went out of our way to stop in. Waiting over 10 min to not be acknowledged by the tasting employee. The tour began so I could not even purchase a bottle because no one was at the register. So if you want to make a quick stop this is not the place to go.

Great food, booze, and service! Everything was top notch, the dessert (kiss myalaska) was a highlight for sure! The bacon app is thick cut and tasty. Purchased a bottle of vodka, bloody Mary mix, and a candle. Enjoyed the visit!

The atmosphere was laid back but with an emphasis on quality. The food was great and every plate I saw headed to other tables looked delicious. The staff worked together and were some of the most friendly I've encountered in a while. I had the salmon my wife had a pasta dish and we were both satisfied. We also had the drunken doughnuts for desert and they were satisfying.
Now on to the spirits. When I travel I make it a point to sample a local distillery and I was not disappointed. My wife loved some of their flavored vodka and their bourbon was of a quality I could see breaking out at a weekend gathering with my buddies like an every day bourbon. My favorite of the evening was not one available on the tour and was a pretty penny to try. I am not usually one to spend large amounts for a glass but the staff sold me on a try. This malt whiskey rocked my world it is the best I've had (I've had some decent whiskey but there is a lot I haven't tried) the flavor explodes in your mouth. Each sip reveals more depth and complexity. It was a lovely evening and I recommend this place for anyone who loves good food and good spirits.

I'd give the drinks 4 stars. Service is almost non-existent. Everything is ordered at the bar, which is not very big, so it can get very crowded and can take a while to get your drinks. Didn't have any food, so I can't vouch for the BBQ.

I consider myself a bit of a food snob. Had my birthday there last weekend, and I can truly say this is a top notch restaurant that the most difficult to please will be thrilled. Outstanding service, by city standards not mountain standards (Jolene was great). Food was incredible. Free shuttle there and back. I've waited for a place close to this good for decades in Breck and I am more than thrilled. Shhhh, don't tell anyone about this place though, let's keep it our little secret cause I want to be able to get reservations in the future.......

Excellent visit to the distillery where they offer several different tastings. I had the premium tasting of 4 of their whiskeys for $8. Each tasting is a 1/3 full shot glass, which is just enough to get a good taste and not wear out your taste buds. Onsite food was a limited but delicious bbq themed offering. Great creative cocktails too. And wonderful indoor and outdoor seating.
