This is our second experience with Gateway Chevrolet. Our first experience 5 years ago when our daughter bought her first car was so great that we drove from the far east Valley all the way to Avondale for this purchase! We were just as thrilled this time. Our salesman was Alex Aguirre; low key, easy to talk to, no pressure. We found out that they are not paid a percentage commission, rather they are paid by the sale. So there is not pressure to purchase a higher priced vehicle, and even when negotiating the final amount we felt that he was on our side and would do everything he could to make the sale happen on our terms. We also had a conversation with the fairly new sales manager, Howard, who candidly explained his philosophy for making excellent deals with unpressured sales which ultimately spreads the word and buys him new and repeat customers. We highly recommend this dealership, you will not be disappointed.

We went in to look and check out the Memorial Day sales. Elijah approached us and seemed very friendly. He was not a pushy salesman and did not give us any sales pitch. I liked that. He let us view the vehicles we were interested in and never once was very pushy. He answered our questions and seemed honest about it. He tried his best in helping us with everything. We enjoyed our eventful day there and drove away happy with our new 2019 Chev Silverado 1500 LT Crew Cab. Thank you for not being one of those pushy sales person..

This, is my review for AutoNation Chevrolet on Bell rd leading to this dealership Gateway Chevrolet

Awhile ago, I gave this place (AutoNation) a 5 star rating. Today, I took back 4 of my stars. Reason being? Well, today I pulled into the service dept wanting an oil change, fifteen minutes go by and I'm invisible to everyone working in the service dept... A black SUV pulls in and gets immediate attention so I drove off. The least they could have done was acknowledge me and say.. Sir, we'll be right with you, thank you for your patience e.t.c... not even eye contact from these people.. My truck was purchased here too, brand new 53k vehicle.. Anyhow, I came here to Gateway Chevrolet, I wasn't even in the bay before some lady waved me in. Then, she let me know that someone will be right with me. A very kind, caring woman named Liz came out to help me. The service is night and day between these 2 places. Originally, I came here to Gateway to purchase a truck but they were all out of the vehicle i wanted... I should have waited and came to this location for my vehicle purchase. This, will be my Chevy dealership from now on.

Due to death in my family right after I bought my 2018 Z71 Silverado 4x4 from Gateway Chevy consequently I didn't receive the window tinting and door guards as part of the dealer Prep. 6 months later I contacted them when my truck was serviced and without a hassle they made good on the deal and tinted my windows and placed door guards on. Excellent service.

I have never purchase a truck and this was my worst experience ever. They have the worst customer service and finance department. I was never explain all the fees and extras added to my contract. That was very dishonest of them.I left the dealer not knowing a single thing about all the functions my truck had. I had to make several calls to the managers leave messages and stop by the dealer to get someone to help me with the contract. I was told by one of the managers to stop by that everything was resolved. I left work early that day just to stop by the dealership but no one new what was going on. I was so FRUSTRATED and was advised I had to go back the next day since the Managers were all gone for the day. Finally after 3 days of my constant calls and complaints a nice guy name Jorge Beltran help me with all the fees that were charge in my contract and finalize a new one for me.

We went in yesterday, we worked with Tony who was amazing! He was very honest and helped us, explained things in detail, helped get our beautiful car set up and got is the best deal they could offer us. We went in with our two young kids and they were not bored at all. They have a very clean play area with toys, popcorn and water bottles. Tony worked with us with a smile the entire time, we have already recommended some people to go and ask for Tony. Even after we left we got a courtesy call to see how we like the car and if had any questions, this is the best car buying experience we have had. It was quick, kids had fun, and everyone that works there was very nice and friendly.

Stopped in for a quick oil change, told it would be 1 to 1-1/2 hours. After a bitover an hour saw my car out in the finished area...then had to wait a half hour for the paperwork. Walked out to the car and saw they had not washed ut (which they have always done in the past). Questioned if they still do this and they said "oh, it wasn't washed?" Here i sit for an additional 45 minutes with no sign of my car. Amazing.

I should have learned when on a previous oil change, they i stalled the wrong filter and it blew off 3 days later.

Sales experience was great, only because my friend sold me the car. Service department is a joke. They said that battery warranties are good for only 36,000 miles. For new and used cars. So what if you buy a used car with 60k miles and it comes with a new battery. You're telling me a brand new battery has no warranty on it? Well, that's what Gateway Chevy said. Guy was rude, and said that's the bottom line (sounded like Stome Cold Steve Austin). He was a jerk about it about it also.

I did not like how I had to go to different people to get the vehicle. I did not like the layout of the store. If I could give zero starts I would. I was at gateway Chevy ready to purchase a new truck. After about 45 minutes of walking in the cold a viewing almost every vehicle I was interested in I left. No pricing information on the vehicles and NOT INE SALES PERSON came to check on us. When I left I called and spoke with the manager I informed him of the situation and he stated they were just busy. When I told him that people arriving after us were being approached when we still were not he informed me that they were busy and just missed us. When I informed him there were several sales people standing out front talking he then said sorry bout your luck... worlds worst most unprofessional service ever!!! Currently on my way to another Chevy dealer as I am seriously looking for a Silverado! I would never come here again.

My wife and I were looking to trade in our 2012 Nissan Armada while it still had trade value on it. Our experience at Gateway was very professional and the hospitality given to the both of us was nothing less than awesome. Our salesperson Nikilaus Kelly was everything that we believe a salesperson should be and should be rewarded and recognized for being a great salesperson, a good listener and fulfilling what we as customers wanted. We shared with him what we were looking for and he gave us our options and we were on our way with a brand new 2016 Chevy Suburban. He even let us take it home to ensure that it fit in our garage. As soon as we confirmed that it fit in our garage, we knew that this is what we wanted to leave the lot with. After the usual negotiations we were satisfied with and a great appraisal on our Armada, we then worked with Mike in finance and the professionalism was continued there with him. He listened, worked with us and became an instant member of our family. A very down to earth, no "beat around the bush" finance agent whom we were glad we worked the deal with. Then we worked with Paul in going over the technology side of the vehicle whom was very knowledgeable and professional of his craft and explained all the features in a language that we could relate to. We must mention that as all these steps were being taken that Nikilaus always checked up on us and made sure that we were being taken care of. We left there satisfied with the purchase deal but most of all we were satisfied with the professional family oriented atmosphere that Gateway presented us through these great individuals mentioned. Not to mention every one that we ran into smiled and offered us water and popcorn. We would definitely recommend using Gateway. Thanks Nik, Mike and Paul and the whole staff at Gateway.

terrible. terrible and do not trust what they say. don't waste your time. I told them I'm looking to buy a new vehicle and my budget is 33k. we go looking all over and he reassures me that he has a vehicle for me. we test drive a truck that is left over from 2014 and is priced with options at 49k. I told him I did not want to test drive the truck unless we are at 33k and he reassures me it's not a problem. after test drive and taking all my info he comes back at 41k. I blew up. what a waste of time. do not. I repeat Do NOT go here

Check the Yelp reviews before visiting Gateway Chevrolet. There is a trend of terrible experiences at this dealership and our experience was on 8/10/17 while visiting to view cars and test drive.

First, we had to engage the salesman Darius to get service, then he could not locate keys to the car that we wanted to test drive and had to make multiple trips to try and locate the keys. After the test drive, we informed that we had a pre-approved loan and were interested in making a deal, so we went inside to discuss cost. No basic customer service skills were displayed or common courtesy by the salesman and it was obvious that he was new and either untrained or not interested in making a sale. At the very least, an offer of water would have been nice after walking around the lot for about an hour viewing cars, going for a test drive and showing interest in making a purchase.

The salesman proceeded to conduct the routine information gathering that takes place in the sales process. It was not a problem until he began asking for financial details that did not make sense since we already told him that we had a pre-approved loan. He asked for a social security number (RED FLAG) to conduct a better background check for credit?? Not sure what part of pre-approved loan he did not understand? The information gathering stopped at that question and he asked to see a letter showing the pre-approved loan. Asking for evidence was a second RED FLAG because at this point I'm trying to negotiate to buy a car and not go under full investigation. We kindly let him view the proof of our pre-approved loan on the cellphone and he asked for a copy. He offered us to use their desktop computer to logon to our bank website and print the pre-approved loan letter... third RED FLAG. For some reason, we continued the process and logged on to let him view the letter on the computer monitor. During the entire time of logging on to the bank website, he was hovering over the shoulder while typing the password (really?) fourth RED FLAG.... password has since been changed. Before printing, I questioned the reason for the printout and he said for them to have a copy of it. Nope, that was the end of this suspicious method of doing business and we did not print the loan letter. Logged out and cleared history.

I told the salesman an out the door price to get a reaction and he was convinced that it is not possible with all of the taxes and extra costs that need to be added to the sticker price. I have purchased many vehicles in the past and most experienced buyers do not purchase vehicles at the full sticker price. In many cases, a deal can be worked with absorbing extra costs into the vehicle cost, cutting cost, etc. I think customer service, making deals and selling is a salesperson's job, but that was not my experience here. Be cautious and do not provide information that does not need to be disclosed.

Tim Lemont is the best sales consultant, he is very knowledgeable about the vehicles. All the managers are very attentive and quick response to any questions or concerns. Its like the best place to buy your new car. You are family to everyone from sales to service. I am so thankful for Tim Lemont, he truly wants you to be happy with your choice of vehicle. i went there for a recall service which was taken care of free of charge no problems i also had my key fob replaced that i paid for because i was there but the tech reported the door lock was burnt out and did not work and needed to be replaced at my cost now me being out of work is something i can not afford right now so i declined the repair but when i picked up my vehicle i checked if it was really not working and to my surprise the doors unlocked and locked just fine with the key fob so i will not return to the dealer for any service because they can not be trusted

Drove almost 8 hours to buy a vehicle. Immanuel our sales representative was awesome, he was very helpful and professional. Negotiation time with a different rep. The part that rubbed me wrong was the initial offer they were trying to get me to buy into. Vehicle itself was 12k and then there was an additional 6500 in fees tacked onto the final price. They claimed it was due to my credit but my APR for this vehicle was smaller then the truck I had bought a year ago which was 19k. Payment they were offering was almost $200 more if I would of gone the route I wanted with the smaller down payment. I almost walked away without purchasing the vehicle but somehow all of those fees disappeared on the final offer they had given me and the payment dropped $200. Do not let them trick you with all the uneseccary fees, it is a money making scheme and the buyers should not be punished for their greed. Stand your ground and ask for a breakout of all the fees and do not settle for the first offer they give you.

On a side note watch out for the husky guy with glasses always eating candy. He is rude and very disrespectful with his customers. I had to witness him berate and talk down to at least 3 other customers and they all walked away because of his attitude

Update: I purchased my truck from them about 3 months ago. The sales team are awesome. The Service department is dangerously negligent and abusive to vehicles. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and I ended up waiting 3 1/2 hours just to get a oil change and a new oil filter they didn t even bother changing my cabin air filter . I had also asked if they could give me a tire balance and a alignment. They did not do this instead they did a road check and one of the technicians I caught on video running over a speedbump in my vehicle going approximately 35 miles an hour and didn t even break or slow down burnt rubber while leaving the dealership caught it on my dash cam that I actually forgot to turn off very disappointed and if my alignment wasn t off it sure is now due to the fact that they hit every speedbump my leaf springs are now broke. I will not return I was going to bring my grandparents here to purchase a vehicle but that will no longer happen due to the fact that they are so abusive to vehicles.I called the service manager and he said that it won t ever happen again not even offering to take a look at my vehicle to make sure there was no damage done to my vehicle very very shady people here as far as the service department goes I will never return. I lost 3 1/2 hours at the dealer and round-trip took me three hours to get to and from the dealer and this is how I m treated gateway Chevy thank you for destroying my brand new truck with less than 5000 miles on it .
I will be contacting let Joeknow on abc news and give him the video so he can broadcast it on the news maybe now the manager s will pay more attention to the technicians!!!!

I bought a new 2018 Silverado last year with an appealing lift setup and tires plus VIP Car Care for around 50-60k. Around 9 months later I hit my first 5k and my wife organized the trucks first service appointment. Once at Gateway she was told that we would have to pay extra for the service because of the vehicles oversized tires. The service rep was unkind and seemed to lack any sort of customer service let alone VIP service. Only after bouncing around departments did someone realize that it was nonsense for them to add fees due to options they put on the vehicle and never informed buyers of these added fees.

Furthermore we learned that VIP auto care translates into a drive-thru car wash and nothing more. I received the truck with not even so much as a vacuum job, let alone any actual care. Don t get me wrong, I love my Silverado, but after purchase the VIP feel quickly wore off and I was left with my wife being argued with and told We don t do anything as it relates to the extra VIP package. I guess it should be the Bare Minimum Package . Long story short I do recommend the Silverado, something you can get anywhere but I would not recommend Gateway for another purchase.

Lastly, I ll leave you with this Gateway. Business ethics is what sets a company apart and ensures return visits by their customers (the ultimate goal). Business ethics can be defined as what a company ought to do, because it makes good business . Not simply what they can get away with. You can have the best products, at the best price, at the best location and if you fail to take the simple steps to ensure your customers are happy, you will only sell your product once.

On that note, Matthew was great, even though I never received my $100.00 referral money. But rest assured, you won t be seeing any more referrals

Sent into the dealer today. Mr. Huggins was Desk Manager. Internet price was for a 2012 Chevy Equinox LTZ was 14,963. Dealer add on sheet came out. $250 Etching fee and $800 accessories fee. First of all any person who goes to this dealership needs to know that VIN Etching costs the dealer a total of about $25. In fact most reputable, quality dealerships have abandoned this add on practice. Further, Buying a used car the Accessories fee is another egregious practice of a bad and greedy dealer. Buyers beware do your homework before wasting your time with this type of dealer.

The recommend people and get 100$ never happened, and once one vehicle got damaged and their team did a horrible job repairing all they said was "we would never let a car be repaired and go out like this." Another vehicle got totaled and even paying their high insurance and Gap insurance the refused to help us get a new vehicle.

Time and time again we gave them opportunities and they just keep disappointing, all they care about is make the next sale and not the costumer.

Do not go to this dealership! I went to this dealership with my mom looking for an opinion on how we could get out of our cars. Our sales person Juan V was EXTREMELY rude. He was trying to rush our decision in getting a car and would not even give us time to think. He stated the only way he d know how much our car was worth for trade in was if he ran our credit. Then, we were going to come back tomorrow to get another car option he previously had suggested..but we told him we didn t accept the deal with that car at that moment he was really rude. He just got up from the table and got our car keys and said I tried dropped them in our hands and walked away. Do not go to him for any sales if you re looking for good and polite service.

I suggest never doing business with this company!!! They are a complete major rip off! They always take 10 years to get your car done and don t even tell the customer how long it s gonna take. They charged us way more than what they said they were gonna charge and didn t even say that the car was gonna cost that much to begin with! I suggest just steering clear of this place because all they will do is rip you off for all your money and take forever to service your car. John has supposedly been here for 30 years yet he s a complete douchebag and doesn t help the customer in any way at all. He actually made the experience hell telling us he was gonna call in 3 hours and he didn t call all day and then when we call he informs us our car won t be ready until the next day and they don t have a loaner to give us. If the car wasn t under warranty still I would have took it elsewhere cause their business and customer service is straight trash!!!

Their service department is trash. Their Service agents were shady af and they had a "secret conversation" on how they were going to charge me for a sensor that "was replaced new" but it just came loose and they just reconnected it. They were planning on charging me for parts and labor. Like other reviews say "once you leave the dealership with your just bought car they dont care what happens to you or the car. Their we will get back to you later is actually we don't care about you once we sell you the car. I was promised floor mats since the cars mats had been "misplaced" but everytime I tried to contact them they wouldn't answer or they forgot about their comittment to replacing them. TRASH. I wouldn't trust these guys.

I was expecting pushy sales people and bad attitudes like I have experience at Earnhardt dealerships.

What I recieved was a friendly, relaxed, and no pressure sale group. They were very helpful and profession by aiding me in what I was looking for. Everyone from Trevor Vona in sales and Sam Bobadilla in finance were very helpful and friendly. This was one of easiest automotive purchases I have done at any dealership.

I will be recommending this dealership to friends and family. This is my first Chevy I have purchase.. New or used.

When me and my wife purchased the vehicle in November we were guaranteed more oil changes than just two... Left a voice mail with finance manager no call back been almost a month.... I just purchased a 2017 Chevy Malibu just this Saturday 9-16-17 and did not appreciate everyone from the Sales people to the Management and Finance Employees who all mislead my wife and I on the extended warranty as a requirement from GM Financial to approve the loan. If I would have been told that was the case I would not have moved forward with the purchase at all. While the warranty is a good investment, what did not sit well with me is how they failed to be open about the requirement from the lender at all. Not an honest business practice at all and not only does it reflect poorly on the individual Employees but on the Gateway Team as a whole, as each Employee is also an extension of the Company by representation. I feel like I as a consumer have been taken advantage of, not happy at all with my experience this weekend.

5 stars all the way!!! My husband and I were looking into the car sales strip mall right off the freeway. We stopped by Earnhardt Honda first but they weren't really helping us buy. So after we worked up numbers on a used odyssey and didn't like the monthly, we left and went to Gateway Chevrolet. A young man by the name of Jesus Castro was very energetic and helpful to get us approved. We told him our situation and he ran with our requests and made things happen. I needed an oil change on my car so I called and they couldn't get me in on the weekend so suggested I come during the week. So, they scheduled me for 9am on Tuesday with Zach and I took time off of work. I pulled in and waited 10 minutes and Zac never showed up so since they couldn't find him they had to get someone else to help me. I have now been sitting in the customer lounge for 2 hours for a simple oil change. Then when I got home I realized they didn't even put air in my tires- not even the one that was low! Hire more people to help or don't schedule so many people at the same time. This is my first oil change on my car and I can tell you I will be going to a different dealer for my next one.
