His knowledge of vehicles and friendly personality made the entire experience enjoyable. I highly recommend shopping here if you are in need of a new vehicle and I definitely will be back.

Demi completely changed my perspective on car deal...

Demi completely changed my perspective on car dealerships! This was my first dealership experience. I had always gone the private-owner route before, and I had always been sceptical of how I would be treated/taken advantage of at a dealer, but the car I was driving at the time literally blew up, and I was so done with buying unreliable vehicles from random people. So I took the plunge and headed over to Gary Lang. I've always heard great things about them, so I decided to start my car buying process there, and I am a so glad I did! Once I arrived, Demi approached me right away while I was aimlessly looking in the Kia lot, and she helped me every step of the way until I found my dream car. She was honest, very knowledgeable, extremely patient, and not pushy whatsoever! My mind was blown, because I was always under the impression that car salesman were rude, pushy, and scammers, but Demi was absolutely awesome. It was obvious that her main focus was on ME and my happiness, and not on her commission. The rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly as well, and if I'm ever in the market to buy again or trade in, I will definitely go straight back to Gary Lang!

I bought a vehicle 1/23/18 at Gary Lang Auto of a Chevy Malibu 2012. I haven t had the car for a year. At the time of purchase they stated it will have warranty and will provide extra warranty on the vehicle. In July my engine light came on due to camshaft. I took it to them to fix it. They also told me the repairs I needed except for one. The map sensor. Which was on the paper stating it was bad. They never replaced it nor told me bout it. When they could of repaired it at the time I had my warranty. In the fall my engine light came on again due to map sensor I got it fixed at firestone. Then in December it came on again due to map sensor. I then decided to wait on my taxes to get the car inspected. Sure enough I couldn t get an alignment due to needed ball joints and tie rod ends. The map sensor still present I got it all fixed up even bought a new map sensor again and airflow sensor. Again engine light is on. I looked over my paper receipts from Gary Lang auto and here they new about the map sensor was bad back on July/2018 when they fixed the camshaft did a fluid flush brake fluid that was added. Here now I m having problems with this vehicle and then being cocky talking bout lemon law won t help you which I have a text of this saved on my phone. As well then stating that I can trade it for a different car but I don t want this car that they sold me that they knew what was wrong and never told me not fixed it when I brought the vehicle to them back on July 2018. This a bad business and I and my boys almost lost our lives to do this stupid law in Illinois where they can sell car as is and not do inspection on the vehicle to make it pass before selling like how the state of Wisconsin law. My car went 20 miles per hour due to this problem on the highway with my boys in it. We could of been in an accident. PleAse go somewhere else. Save your children lives. All they care bout is sales and your just a number to them.

My family has purchased many vehicles over the years from Gary Lang. There is no where better to purchase from. This time it was for my mother. I have to say thank you to Jeff Vicari for once again showing us phenomenal customer service and an overall top notch job!!!

Went in near closing time to get a quote on a car ...

Went in near closing time to get a quote on a car that I checked out at another dealer. I was pressured into purchasing that night which at the time I felt good about. I purchased a brand new car and because it was dark couldn t inspect it but trusted that it was new even though there were quite a bit of miles on it (over 1,000 but can t recall the exact number)
The next morning I went out to look at my new car and saw that it had dents and scratches on the rear. Also, the seats of the car smelled absolutely horrible. I called and got the run around but the manager finally stated if I come back in they would return it for the same model with close to no miles. I came in and once I got there they said they would just fix the new one. Obviously not happy about this, they set me in the waiting room for around 30 minutes. Manager finally came out and said they would give me another car but has same amount of miles. I refused because that wasn t what I was promised and I was paying for a NEW car so that s what I expected. The finally upgraded me to a nicer model for a little bit of additional money (which again originally told me it would be an equal trade)

Flash forward to a year later when I request a pay off amount. They kept calling me during work hours and I would kindly ask them to email it which they never did. A month later I finally answer another one of their calls where they tried to up sell me a vehicle and I bring up they have yet to give me the pay off value. She gives me the payoff value which makes no sense and says she can t give me any details as to why it is much higher than it should be. Offers to give me to a sales guy. No thank you. I ask to talk to a manager and of course get their voicemail.

Long story short, I ve never had a worse experience buying a car. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else

I have never seen such horrible service. I went in to purchase a car & I know my situation wasn t ideal but that doesn t mean I should have been treated the was I was.
Bill C ignored my phones calls for over a week. Instead of being honest & picking up the phone. He dodged my calls & then respond with a rude text. It was handled very unprofessionally. I m very unhappy with the service & the way I was treated.

PS I found a different dealership who treated me the way I should have. They worked with me & I drove out with a car the same day.

Ricardo gave me the best sales experience I have had in awhile. He knows his stuff. He had ample knowledge, and was able to help me come to a decision on what it was that I wanted. He cares about the customer and will make sure you walk away happy. I would go back to him in a heartbeat!

My wife and I are new to the area and were apprehensive about which car dealer to choose. As it turned out we couldn't have been any luckier. We met Jesse as we were looking around at vehicles. He was just a down to earth nice young man. He was patient as we just about test drove every different type of car on the lot. We were actually going to by a Cadillac and then changed our mind and went with a Yukon. He just went with the flow and was genuinely happy that we ended up with the car we wanted. Of course once that happens now it's time for the dreaded price negotiations. This is where Tim steps in. He gave a more than fair price on both trades and vehicle prices. This is just unreal compared to most dealers. Then we delt with the finance manager which was just as awesome. He was able to get us a great rate and a good deal on our warranty. The fact is that any future vehicles my wife and I purchase will definitely be from this team at Gary Lang Auto Group.

Going here was a complete waste of time. The salespeople will use every sales trick in the book. They will get you in the door by offering low prices and then sell you something different (and more expensive). These guys thrive on the classic bait-and-switch tactic. They mark up the interest rate on the car and they try to sell you a bunch of protection services for your car that you don't actually need. By the time you get into the financing process, it's been several hours and you are exhausted and desperate for a brand new car.

Do not let them take advantage of you. Don't make the mistake of going here without doing your research and shopping around because you could end up overpaying.

EDIT: I contacted Mike Fullmer the General Manager and never heard back from him, not surprised. I would also like to add that me and my family went ahead and purchased a brand new 2016 Jeep Cherokee from a completely different dealership loaded with all the luxury options like heated seats, heated steering wheel, touch screen, etc. You lost a huge sale, Mike.

This was the worst car buying experience I have had in my life. We found the car online, the price was great, we were in. We tried for 3 days straight to get a deal locked in over the phone (as we're not local, but we have family who is). No haggle on our end. We even submitted for financing, which we already knew we'd be approved for. Would have even driven down to make the deal on the last day possible...but they couldn't even get their acts together to simply confirm financing, vehicle availability, price, and take a deposit. It's NOT rocket science folks! Probably 7 different people reached out to us from this dealership during that time. I don't even know if they ran our credit app, and it doesn't matter. Incentives have deadlines, and we wound up spending our money closer to home. A day after the deadline to make a deal had passed, a day after we spent the entire morning calling, trying to get anyone to figure this out, they call to ask if we're still interested in the car? Two days later, another salesman reaches out to us to see if we're being helped yet with our purchase?

Completely disorganized, apathetic sales staff, they completely lost our business.Granted, it seems like they didn't really want our business in the first place. Reading the other reviews, and the many mentions of "bait and switch" tactics, it has my wife believing that the cars we were looking at, at the prices being offered, might not have even existed. I suppose when something offered looks "that good"...just assume it's not, at least when it comes to this dealership. Gary Lang, you guys have some institutional sales problems. I wish you luck trying to fix them.

I have to say it was one of the best experiences at a car dealership. Ricardo was amazing, I was with my grandson and I really feel Ricardo was in it not to win it for himself but to make sure we walked away feeling cared about!

Bought a GM Certified 2017 GS last month from this dealer with 6000 miles and it was love at first site. As I get more comfortable with the look and feel of the car I've noticed some oddities. While giving it a really careful hand wash, I found spider cracks on rear back bumper on corner. On further inspection I noticed that the bumper may have been repainted. I took it to a professional collision center and they confirmed my fear that not only the back bumper had been repainted but so was the back quarter panel and even the trunk lid! From their inspection they could not determine how signficant damage was with only an outside view but there was some definite repair signs. I called the dealer with what I found but they kept quoting carfax being clean, maybe it was a shopping cart that hit and a minor repair from it. I told them the trunk, back bumper, quarter panel was not a minor repair! They had no interest as their inspection showed no issues and basically it was mine to deal with. Buyer beware when purchasing used "GM Certified" vehicles from this dealer and make sure to have it professionally checked out before purchase.

Would be 5 stars if my car wasn't trapped in the service drive waiting for 2 other service customer cars to leave and a sales person showing some on star features in a third car. Really? You're going to tell someone thier car is read then park it behind a ton of other cars so they can stand there for10 minutes looking at thier car wishing they could just .....drive out? I wasn't the only person waiting...there was another customer standing there looking and their car too.

That being said though my service quick and completed as ususal wiht this place. I will continue to be a customer here and possibly buy my nexts car here.

I would recommend avoiding the Subaru service department. I ve taken my Subaru there for simple oil changes and easy maintenance and have had nothing but problems. The service department has spilled oil all over my engine multiple times. I had to contact corporate Subaru to have my engine properly cleaned and taken care of. One time I asked for new windshield wipers, they let me leave the dealership with wipers on my car that were to long and hanging over onto the paint. I ve asked multiple times to be removed from their e-mails and the staff have not been able to help me. Save yourself the trouble and take your business somewhere else. You will be happy you did. I know I am.

He went as fast as he could to help move things along but made sure we were understanding of everything and also reassuring us that we could always ask questions down the line. Wonderful service.

Honestly, the least frustrating car buying experience I ever had. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable of the vehicles in their lot. Marcus Jones was my sales person, he was extremely polite, helpful and made sure I left in a vehicle I WANTED. I love my new car! Hello. I am a 60 year old female. I went to the website and found a 2011 Ford Flex and clicked the button sending my info to the Used Car Department. Today Elizabeth called me and invited me into the show room to see the 2011 Ford Flex. It was exactly want I wanted to buy I gathered my paperwork and headed into McHenry, about 1 hour plus away from my western suburb home. I arrive about 430 pm today. A man greeted me and said he would find CRAIG the Used car manager who Elizabeth said I'd be working with when I arrive. Joe(?) said the original owners really didn't want to give up the Flex to buy a Kia Sorento. He was over dramatic and intensely looking in my face. Immediately I got a feeling this wasn't going well. Why would I care about what he said. Then Craig showed up. And he said with a scrunched up face. I'm not sure if the car has been serviced. The Check engine light is on and they can't find the problem. I said what is the face for? He left to go check on the car. He came back and said No. I stopped him and said are u freking kidding me? I drove all the way here for nothing? We can show you other cars. I said I came here specifically to see the Flex. I turned and said I'll be writing a review on Google. And practically ran out the door. Immediately I called to talk to Elizabeth. I have to wonder if their names are alias. I said, why did you tell me to come out when the car wasn't drivable. She told me before I arrived, the car was on the lot for 20 days. Mr. GARY LANG, who is lying? My observation .. could this be discrimination?. Or these people don't know what is going on. Gary Lang had my truck for 2 weeks to make 4 repairs. After getting it back, there was no changes. I called onstar and chevy connection team to verify that the updates they charged me for were completed. They both scanned the truck and told me that the work i paid for was not completed. Gary Lang service is unethical and should be avoided at all costs. My truck is unsafe to drive and has yet to be fixed. Maybe once the warranty is up they will be able to fix the problems...

I did not purchase my car here but I had to take my car into the service department for an oil change and a rattle I've been hearing on the car since I bought it. They were very helpful they were able to figure everything out in a timely manner and have my car back again in a timely manner the previous dealership I was going to have my car out for 2 or 3 days for simple little things they're very prompt and had my car back right away. They even called me with updates let me know what was going on. I will be returning for all future car repairs/services.

Now that Kevin Wright is working there, we are looking forward to working with him to buy our next car. Gary Lang has always been top notch at making sure the customer gets exactly what they are looking for. We went in to order a Colorado and we left with a Silverado. Understanding which vehicle will give us the most money was important. Steve P. our salesman did that for us. We couldn't be happier.

Worked with Ryan and Jesse, they did great. Waited over 2 hours to get paperwork completed with a "finance manager", that part was not a good experience, as it was promised that it would happen quickly. Carfax information was not disclosed during purchase until almost all paperwork was signed and vehicle was in an accident and had more owners than what was disclosed...almost a deal breaker. Do your own research before agreeing to anything. Last vehicle purchased was given a free oil change...didn't receive any nice incentives this time.

DONT GO HERE!! I bought a brand new electric suv & the salesman actually broke the selinoid on the gas door after the test drive. He forced it open while the car was depressurization the gas tank. They knew it because to fill the tank before I left they had to access the manual opener through the lift gate. NO ONE SAID A WORD TO ME. I drove home over 100 miles on low pressured tires I was assured they pumped up before I left. I was lied to repeatedly & sold warranties that meant nothing & couldn t even be used where I live. I wasn t given documentation of my warranties until I called the external company myself. After reading them cancelled them both. I was repeatedly asked to give them high reviews. I was waiting to see how all things were resolved to give them every chance to make it right. Instead they blocked my survey to Mitsubishi so I couldn t tell the manufacturer.

We enjoyed dealing with our sales rep Noah Cherry, but the upper management was somewhat a problem. We did purchase a car from them wanting an AWD getting a FWD, they exchange with some what little hassle however we purchased the interior and exterior protective plan paying $1,500 when all said and done. We picked the one we don t have to do yearly because we live so far away. We took vehicle in for a day and when we got it back it didn t look like anything was done to it. The dealership said we would get our warranty which should last for 7 years in the mail. Over the course of the last year we have talked Mary Kay, along with numerous customer service reps and never got our warrant. Just recently our sales rep Noah called and asked how we liked our vehicle after 1 year and I informed him that we never got our warranty from the protection plan. He said he would get with Mary Kay and call me back, that was last week and no call back. My husband and I believe that no protection on outside or inside was ever done to the vehicle. Making this a pretty fraudulent act in our opinion. Especially after I had called Mary Kay on two occasions. The call I got from Noah never got anywhere and the numerous CSRs that called trying to drum up business for us to come in and have work done. All fell on deaf ears!

If I would have been asked to review a few years ago I would have given them 2 stars. Seems they either have fired those with the poor attitude or have trained ot into theirs employees. A few years ago it seemed they were being inconvienenced by selling or working on cars but now it is much better.

Was told by the GM that they post lower prices online to get people in the doors. I looked at a new vehicle online and not only did it have near 5,000 miles, it had extensive damage to the truck bed and they asked $8,000 more than what the price was online! Was told prices change by the hour like the stock market . The Director had a horrible attitude with me as well because I called him out on it being a demo and that means the warranty is activated. Definitely didn't like a woman knowing her stuff

My experience with Gary Lang Kia was amazing. My sister and I were coming from an appointment of mine and we decided to stop at Gary Lang Kia to just drive around and take a look. We knew we were in the market for a new SUV and were interested in the Kia Sorento. While we were driving around, we were stopped by a very enthuastic salesman. Luis Serrano was eager to help my sister and I find out more about the Kia Sorrento. We let Luis know that we were just looking and he respected that and provided us with his card for when we were ready. Later that week we made an appointment with Luis to test drive the Sorrento. He was kind enough to allow us to take the car and see if it was right for us. When we returned we discussed the details needed to purchase the Sorrento. It was extremely late by then and Luis suggested that we give him until the next day to work out the details and he would call us as soon as he could give us the numbers. The very next morning Luis called. With some negotiating, we arrived at an outstanding price. We agreed to pick up the Sorrento the next morning. When we arrived, Luis was ready with our paperwork. We met with several of the Gary Lang management team, including Derek Marquez, the Finance Manager who walked us through the incredible rate he was able to obtain for us. Jon Trotman, the Kia General Sales Manager who approved the great offer we were made on the Sorrento and Mike Schomer, the Customer Relationship Manager who provided us with a great options to consider regarding the Sorento. All of the Management were incredibly attentive to our needs while we waited for our new car to be detailed. Not only was the staff outstanding but the facility was immaculate and provided complementary beverages in the waiting area. Once our car was ready, Luis guided us through a step by step process to get the Bluetooth system and the infotainment system set up as well as answered all of our questions. Luis was without a doubt the best car salesman I have had the pleasure of doing business with. I would highly recommend you visit Gary Lang Kia if you need a new vehicle. I usually do not write recommendations like this, but the experience I had was very well worth a mention. Car buying is usually a unpleasant experience but I honestly can say this was just the opposite. Thank you Gary Lang Kia.

My husband and I brought a car in December and then leased an additional one in April. I was never given a copy of my agreement as the salesman said he would email it over. It's been almost 3 years...and
I've been calling for 4 months to get a copy of my lease agreement. Calls never get returned and every time I call I get transferred to someone new who promises to call back. Even leaving a message for the owner/ general manager - still no response.
Prime example - called and spoke to a Jason today, who I have spoken to previously who promised he would send me the paperwork 2 weeks ago. He stated he's in the Kia department and couldn't help so he transferred me to a Nick. Nick promised to get back to me today. Now the company is closed and no call. And they want us to buy/lease out next vehicle from them??
Every time I made service appointments, they were always running late and were in no rush to get us out of there. They are never on time and always find additional things to try to charge for.
They are great when it comes to a sale but good luck after the sale is complete.

Edit 2: I was contacted by the dealership after my update, and they covered the cost of the repair.

Edit: unfortunately, need to drop from 5 to 2 stars. 2 weeks after purchasing my CPO truck, one of the the TPMS sensors went bad. Turns out the previous owner put tire slime in the tire. I contacted my salesman to see if there was any way they could help with the cost of the repair. I got an email saying they would see what they could do. I sent two follow up email that have gone unanswered. I knew it would be a long shot to be reimbursed for the repair, but to be ignored is annoying.

Great experience! Our sales person John Wennerstrom was easy going and low pressure. Worked with me on trade value to get the numbers I needed. Took quite a while to get through the whole process, but I think that's just the reality of buying a car. I would definitely go back for my next vehicle.

Now after having my vehicle for maybe 30 days, oh how things changed!!! I noticed bolts missing in the back that is holding the back bumper and side fender in place. I emailed and told them they were gone. Even sent a picture. They are saying well everything was good on their final inspection. So you are telling me I lost the bolts??? If they "fell out" then they were not in correctly to start with. Again that would come from the dealer. I can guarantee I did not remove them!!! I get no answers from my email of what are they going to do for this.......let my gender fall off???? Not happy!!!!!!!

I will never be back to this dealer to buy an automobile again. The salesman I had was not only rude but very not helpful. When I ask this man a question about the automobile I was looking at, he reached into the glove compartment got out the owner's manual and handed it to me and told me to look. Meanwhile, he went on to another customer. I ended up purchasing an automobile which took about 2 hours and 45 minutes to finally process. I had to ask the finance manager how much longer before he got to my paperwork. And when we were called in he was also rude making a smart comment about his time and how nobody realizes how busy he is. If I didn't like the car so much I would have walked out then which I probably should have. Two days later I noticed the car did not have equipment that was stated in the listing. I called the salesman that took care of me (Leo) and he told me there was nothing he could do. He stated a third-party list those items and he has no control over it therefore I'm out of a tonneau cover. My complaint is if you don't have enough time to take care of all your customers then increase your staff. Furthermore never be rude to your customers they are the ones paying your salaries. And thirdly, if you list an item make sure it has the equipment your listing. Customers better check and make sure they're getting what they pay for.

Was having major problems on a Sunday afternoon, the keys wouldn't come out of my ignition. So battery completely dead in the morning, called Gary Lang and they got me in at 10 AM on Monday. The ignition had to be replaced, no worries, still under warranty. So replaced for free, love Gary Lang!
