I purchased a 2012 Cadillac SRX Luxury. It was in perfect condition. The staff allowed my family and I to walk the lot looking for any cars that may interest us. Your sales person Randy Regner came out front an introduced herself and asked if we had any questions. We told her that we have a few so she took us in to her desk and offered us a refreshment. She engaged my 8 year old daughter as well as my wife. She asked me what we were looking for and I gave her specifics and also let her know what vehicles we may have in mind. I informed her of the vehicles in question and she looked up all of the information and presented the pricing and specifications for them. I was pleasantly surprised with the pricing of the Cadillac. I also have a very old Van that I wanted to trade in and she gave me my asking price for that old Van. I had a concern about the number of miles on the vehicle and she worked with me to come to a price that I was comfortable with. The dealership as well as the business manager Derek Marquez was very helpful and very friendly. I purchased my last vehicle through Gary Lang so this was the first dealership that we went to for this purchase. The way that you handle your sales and service keeps customers coming back and keeps them loyal to your dealership. The experience was very pleasant and I am very pleased.

This was the best car buying experience I have had so far. My sales professional was Bart B, and he was awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and overall fun to do business with. His supporting team were also top notch. They came together to make a great deal happen. Hopefully I will not need another vehicle for a while now but if I do this will be my dealership and hopefully Bart will be my associate.

To start Jeff Vicari specifically is a snake who added thousands extra onto my bill and took advantage of me. I specifically told him no less than 10 times I did not want anything additional added onto the car. I was fine as is. He added a 2000 paint package. I tried to have it removed immediately after noticing the charge. I was told because it was a warranty it could be removed. Well 2 days went by and I called and they told me they wouldn't remove it. To be clear this is a warranty of a coating you need to apply every 6 months so it absolutely should be refundable if I won't be reapplying. Additional they added extra fees into the price of the car they DIDNT EVEN INCLUDE ON THE BILL they just added it into the price of the car with no documentation. I was also told these fees could be removed by Mike Noyes in financing. They were never removed. I was so angry I decided to cancel all of my current warranties outside of the certificate pre owned warranty. Which is my right. You can get a full refund up to 60 days and you can cancel for a partial anytime after that. I haven't been refunded for any if it. They also gave me 2 completely bald tires and faking the measurements on the certificate paperwork. It's been 2 months and I've been back twice. This time it was because I had a leak in my emmisions system. I only went to this location because service said they could get me in a week before everyone else and would promise me a courtesy car. Absolute mistake. I spoke to a woman at 5:50pm on Friday who said I could pick up my car after hours and drop of my courtesy car as long at I got there before 9. She was supposed to leave my keys out. I drove nearly 2 hours from chicago to get my car and arrived at 8:10. I was told she forgot to leave my keys out and there was nothing staff could do. I even offered to set off my car alarm from my phone so they knew it was mine. I owed nothing because the car is under warranty and offered to prove as much. I had to drive back to the city without my car and now have to make a second trip today. I have never experienced such level of completed incompetence and moral ineptitude that Gary Lang shows at every turn.

They also love to call people out and share their personal information when they write negative reviews so let's see how that goes.

Edited to include: Steve in the service department treated me well and did his best to resolve the problem with the after hours car drop off. I appreciated that. It would be unfair to include him and the work he does in a negative review. Steve gets 5 stars. The sales department is trash and the cashier's need additional training and structure to avoid this type of mistake.

I usually deal with either Chris or Lloyd in service. In all my years of coming there for service, I have never had to come back because it wasn't fixed the first time.Everything was done that I asked, on time and for less money than I planned on. Great job. Great techs.

UNPROFESSIONAL, PUSHY, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL! If I could rate them a ZERO, I would. This place is not a reputable dealership and I will never go back here again. My husband and I went here to test drive a 2016 Chevy Trax, but were never allowed to do so. The sleezy salesman, George, told us that we were not able to purchase a used vehicle because my husband's vehicle was upside down on loan payments. Instead, we would have to purchase a new vehicle.

They presented us with a 2017 Chevy Cruze, which was too small for my husband and didn't have many of the features we were looking for. The payments would be 75 months at $380+ a month. We stated again that we could not afford payments of that magnitude. They wouldn't listen. They came back at us with lower payments (even though there was no actual lender paperwork to verify the payments). We repeatedly stated that we could not afford the payments, but they would not stop pressuring us to purchase a vehicle.

George told us all kinds of ridiculous b.s.: my husband's car was unsafe so we should just trade it in, we would be treated like family, we reminded him of his friends, etc. I saw right through all of it. After nearly 3 hours of them pressuring us and making us feel like we were prisoners in their show room, we were finally allowed to leave - but without our car. They offered for us to take the Cruze for a couple of days to see whether we liked it. George stated that we would change our minds... we didn't. We didn't like the way it drove and we didn't like that it didn't have any features, including cruise control.

Two days later, my husband took the car back. George was there and wasn't happy with my husband telling him we were not going to purchase the car. Unfortunately, my husband opened the door for them to show him another car... he stated we didn't like the size and that it didn't have the features we wanted, so they got out a 2017 Malibu for him to check out. They came at him with a deal of $400 per month... why they thought we could afford that amount when we clearly told them we couldn't afford even $300 a month, I don't know.... They once again wouldn't listen to my husband telling them repeatedly that we couldn't afford the car, but they told him to take it home for a couple of days and let us both check it out.

I was livid... why the hell wasn't this place listening to us? I drove the car, and while it drove nice and fit our family well, $400 a month for over 6 years was just asinine. I told my husband to take it back and get his car back. So, he did just that this morning.

He was met with a smiling finance guy, but that smile quickly turned to a scowl after my husband told him we would not be purchasing the vehicle. He was impatiently banging the keys on the desk while talking to my husband and stated that George would be in shortly. The way he was talked to by this man was unprofessional, to say the least. He made my husband feel as if he was a jerk, was out of line by not wanting the car, and as if he did something wrong.

George met my husband with a smile as well, but once my husband told him we were not getting the car, he got angry. He asked what we thought we were going to do about a new vehicle (because we are obviously idiots who can't think for ourselves), and rolled his eyes at my husband when he was told that *I* was going to do some further research on vehicles to see what we could afford and what would fit with our needs. When my husband asked for his keys back, George threw them at him.

My husband and I were actually contemplating on waiting a few months until we got our tax returns back, then going back to Gary Lang to get a Malibu, but not anymore. They really tried hard to get us into a car, which was appreciated, but after the way my husband was treated today there's no way we would even dream about going back there.

After a horrible experience with Ray Chevrolet earlier that week I decided to go to Gary Lang for my car troubles. I was very stressed out and worried by the time my car was towed there and the guys and my service consultant Tony Priolo were so amazing to me. They got me some ice water because I had been stranded outside in the heat for hours before getting there, spoke to me in a way I understood and treated me so kind. I will no longer be taking my car anywhere but GARY LANG! :)

Joe Dicks was very helpful and made our car buying experience enjoyable. We drove home with a new 2015 Subaru Outback! The only disappointing part was the very long time (almost 2 hours - longer than the time it took to decide to buy the car) we had to wait to process the paperwork and finalize payment.

We just upgraded to a new car from Gary Lang! This is my second time leasing a car from Gary Lang and it was a lovely experience all around (both times). We worked with Levi in the GM department and he did everything he could to get us the car we wanted at the price point we needed. Everyone we worked with through the process was helpful, kind and did what they could to make sure we left happy! If you are looking for a new car- go to Gary Lang and ask for Levi!

Two weeks ago, we purchased a new GMC Yukon from Gary Lang. We are IN-LOVE with this vehicle. It was such a pleasure to business with the staff of Gary Lang. Every staff member was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Our first staff member we did business with was Joe, who directed our phone calls promptly where they needed to go. He did an excellent job being super friendly and finding me the right person to answer all my questions.

Our sales specialist was Steve, who was very quick and knowledgeable to answer all our questions. He did an excellent job making sure all our accommodations were met and we were satisfied.

While Steve and Derek were busy with our paperwork, we had the pleasure of meeting Jake, who was very educated and savvy on the Yukon's entertainment system. He helped us out tremendously with getting to know the Yukon's radio and setting up the OnStar app.

Next, we met with Derek who was diligent on getting the paperwork signed and making sure we understood all the terms and conditions. Derek was very friendly and easy to connect with and trust.

Lastly, the person who I believe went way above and beyond for us at Gary Lang was Brian in the service department. Brian promptly answered all our phone calls and did an excellent job leaving detailed voicemails on the status of our vehicle. He made us next-day appointments to add leather to our truck and fix some warranty-covered issues we experience. His customer service was a 10! He was extremely respectful and gave superb suggestions. We loved the fact that he took care of our vehicle as if it was his own. He listened to what we wanted and got back to us quickly with appointments and quotes. Brian is an exceptional employee to have and defiantly should be rewarded for his *above and beyond work tactics.

Overall, we will highly recommend Gary Lang to our friends and family for future business.

I didn't have much other than a trade in, a couple hundred bucks and terrible credit. They really made sure I left in a car that I liked at a fair and honest price. I was also very impressed by the staff's ability to cooperate and make sure I left satisfied, especially Josh in sales and Chris in the finance department. Thank you all for helping me. I greatly appreciate your efforts and would recommend Gary Lang to anyone looking for a new or used car at a reasonable price!

Horrible experience. Tricked my fiance into coming there by telling her that the new blazer she was interested in would be there on a specific day. They set up a day and time for her to take a look at it. She took off work and had already been pre approved by the dealership. When she got there it was sitting in front building like they told her and she got out to look at it and a guy jumped in it. She asked the salesman what was going on and they said that they just sold it. She drove over an hour to get there and had to turn around and drive home without the new blazer. We will never go back there or recommend this dealership to anyone. Andrew in financing is a liar as is Allison who set up the date and time to show the blazer that they said they had to bring in from another location.

Terrible service department. Attempted for one we...

Terrible service department. Attempted for one week to get an appointment but no one would answer the phone. I had to continuously leave messages for a call back. Finally got my car in and had multiple videos showing the issue occurred 5 out of the past 7 days. They kept my car for 3 days and stated they were unable to reproduce the issue so there is no issue. Tried calling to see if I could pick up my car I called at 930 and left message. 1030 left message, 1130 left message and finally at 1230 I told the front desk lady that I am coming to get my car and will no longer utilize Gary Lang for anything. Nothing but excuses every time I called such as all reps are busy, someone quit and walked off the job so they are short staffed etc etc. If this was the first time this has happened it would be one thing, but it has now been 16 days since my initial call and it's the same. Do yourself a favor and drive to a non mega dealership for more authentic subaru service.

Update: So I wanted to update everyone that even though this dealer followed up with a comment on this review acting concerned 3 weeks ago, there has been ZERO interaction from them since. I would recommend to stay away from this mega dealer and get an authentic experience from a standalone Subaru dealer.

Since 1st calling and scheduling an appointment with Gary Lang Auto Group, I was treated with courtesy and patience. They run a very professional & proficient business. Service manager JA Arnold was on top of everything since I first pulled up and got out of my truck. I asked him to make sure the technician thoroughly checked out my vehicle throughout, for it was recently purchased. JA gave me the entire rundown step by step, and told me I bought a very solid truck. Thank you guys for assuring me I was in good hands, and also for being so prompt and good at what you do. I can truly say I will never take my Cadillac anywhere else but to Gary Lang for any of my maintenance or service needs. Thank you guys!

Where to begin. I called and spoke with Andrew. I heard on the radio that they had a cars gone wild sales promotion. Take home 350 a week and your approved. That is not exactly the truth. I live 2.5 hours away and told them I would only come out if they could put a deal together for me. They said they thought they could, but ultimately it was up to the bank. To cut a long story short. After telling them what I was looking for, I was told that there was not enough rebate to cover the negative equity in my current vehicle. So they took about ten minutes and the salesman came back and stated he had the perfect vehicle that would work. It was a new 2015 Sonic LT. My trade was a 2010 Aveo. The same car. I drove it anyway because I wanted an automatic. After test driving the car, I decided it was not exactly what I wanted. But it was what I could get approved for. My wife and I decided to go for it. After ten minutes, the salesman came back and said you were approved. Great I thought. Then He said there was a stip. I asked him what the stip was. He stated they want you to put seven grand down. That is the payoff on my current car. I told him That would not work. He then told me that Andrew would be in the next day and he and the Ally finance guy were very close. He even put two fingers together and said they are this close. He stated he thought because of this relationship, Andrew could make something happen. I stated to him, I would be at work all day and to leave a message. I arrived home at 11:30 pm and listened to my voicemail. It was Marcus the salesman. Sorry but because of your income we just can not do anything for you at this time. Which they knew prior to me coming in. He suggested I pay off my current car and come in and they would then put something together for me. Well that is not going to happen. If I paid off my car I would just keep it and have no payment. So after waisting seven hours of my time. They can be guaranteed that my future automotive purchases will go elsewhere.

I went there to look at some cars, test drove a truck and came back. The dealer talked to me about how "even my girlfriend can handle driving it" who was with me at the time, made me super uncomfortable. I decided to keep talking with the dealer, trying to negotiate on the car and I was told buying a car is like buying a pair of shoes, you don't negotiate. Then the dealer got his boss so both of them could talk down to me like I didn't understand how to buy a car or how money works. They assumed I was an incompetent buyer because of my age. In short, if you're looking for a sleazy cashier, not a salesman, then go to Gary Lang. The art of the deal is dead at Gary Lang.

I would highly recommend asking for Levi at Gary Lang. I recently bought a Chevy vehicle from him and it was hands down the best car buying experience that I have ever had, even with a trade in. His knowledge helped us immensely in making a decision. As I am technologically challenged, he is still offering to go thru all of the car's features with me again, weeks later...can't ask for more.

I made an appointment to work with Brandon and he was busy so they gave me to Jordan instead. I'm on a tight budget and wanted to see if I could get out of my lease and into something a little more manageable. Jordan was confusing and told me that what i wanted was unreasonable. He didn't offer any alternatives or explain anything clearly. I didn't understand most of what he was telling me and i left confused and frustrated. I called back to speak to a manager to complain and they gave me to Jordan. If I wanted to fight with him over the phone I would have asked for him. I regret ever buying anything from this dealership and when my lease is up, I will drop off this damn car and never go back.

***UPDATE TO AN EARLIER REVIEW*** I was told my oil package was expired, finally got into Benesenville Subaru and turns out Gary Lang lied, surprise, surprise . Benesenville reviewed my packages with me and apologized nonstop for Gary Lang's mistake. Cost me countless hours, 100 miles, and I was 6,000 miles over my oild change because people at Gary lang did not want to do their job. SMH. Oh they also call me a liar about all this .I'm just happy I was validated by bensenville subaru. Horrible these things happen.

Website shows new 2018 Chevy Trax awd LT at 18473. That is what is advertised as the gary lang price. However when you go in they will tell you it is over 25000,because may not qualify for any of their specific rebates which are not specified on the website. Example of those are military, fire fighter, teacher, Costco etc. This is false advertising. Buyer beware.

I had a great experience buying a used Hyundai yesterday, working with Sandy O'Dierno in sales and Mike G. in finance. They helped me find the right auto for my finances and needs, guided me through all the paperwork calmly, smoothly, and pleasantly, and I had my car in very short order. They know their stuff, both in terms of autos and financing. A pleasure to work with both of them, and I recommend them both, as well as the entire Gary Lang Auto Group team, to others for an excellent car-buying experience!

Never recommending this place
feel used and very stressful situation

I just didn t want my first time buying a new car to be like this
We live a hr away and love this new car but to deal with the stress of having the van traded in and telling the salesman Chris how much was left on it and he never added to our sale of new car

Just was such a hassle to drive all the way back and hen having our payments per month more now

I didn t even eat last night since I was so worked up and stressed

I'll sum it up for fellow consumers... Gary Lang was prompt, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and above all genuine. Went in for an oil change and inspection. Turned out my silverado needed more work and I left in a loaner vehicle (how convenient!). I felt that they were not "out to get me" or "price gouging". This has always been a problem with any other service team but not them!

Just leased my first car hy myself with Gary lang. I had Wayne as a salesman. He was very professional and informational. Everyone was actually. The man next to Wayne's desk helped me get insurance, other went though with all my question and explained everything in detail. They also followed up.

Folks seemed nice but dealership was disorganized. The first basic that I look out for is can they deliver in an efficient manner when I set up a test drive: unfortunately, they failed there as I had to wait nearly an hour though I ended up test driving two vehicles.
