We ordered from Furnitureland South about 30 years ago. Travel is difficult so I found what I wanted on the web. I worked with Brittany to order a coffee table and end table. Super easy. Great price. Brittany was super knowledgeable and great to work with.
Love to shop the showroom at Furnitureland South. I found a chair in the showroom that I've been having an online affair with for several months (checking on it to see if it is still available). I finally took the leap and purchased it with the help of Bill Yelton. It was a very smooth process and I am longingly awaiting it's arrival to my living room. Great selection, great quality, and nice people!
Diane Jackson was so patient & helpful, & being able to finalize the order on line made everything easy. My only recommendation would be an IT one: like other online order companies do, it would have been nice to get a confirmation email that it had all gone through. All we had was confirmation from credit card company & the contract showing the deposit in parentheses. This is not our first time at FLS, & we certainly plan to return. Thank you.
My husband and I had a great shopping experience at Furniture Land South. We walked in and was warmly greeted by Sales Associate Donald Wright. After explaining what we were shopping for Donald was eager to show us around and after what seemed like hours of going up and down floor after floor looking at different styles of pieces of furniture that fitted our needs with Donald's help we nailed It. We found just what we wanted including an art piece that we hadn't plan to purchase but was the perfect accent picture to place above out furniture piece. It takes patience when shopping at Furniture Land South because the furniture store is HUGE. Our Sales Associate Donald, was just that, very patience and helpful. We will certainly shop there again .

Great experience at Furnitureland South. Looking forward to my next visit. Everyone was very helpful and addressed all my concerns. Furniture looks different in show room vs. your home. Rob emailed a picture to scale what the furniture would look in the space, made recommendations, and sent fabric and wood finish samples for me to work with from the time I ordered and delivery takes place. Great and very professional experience.
Wow! Donald Beck was a phenomenal host, guide, collaborator and designer for us. We couldn't have come up with the dining room and kitchen table ensembles we did without his help. He was pleasant, gracious, and he is extremely talented.
Sara Hubbard walked us through the whole facility and helped us to look for something very specific. We did not find what we were looking for, but we did feel confident that we had explored all of the different options, and covered the entire space because we had help from our excellent guide Sara. I feel we could have spent days in the place lost without help, but we had all the help we could ask for. I am giving Furnitureland South 5 stars for customer service. Would also like to note that our guide was a great listener and was able to really know what we were looking for. She was also very knowledgeable of different styles and manufacturers.
The showroom is enormous, which we appreciated because we could try before we bought. However, the service was awful. We found the chairs we wanted and offered to buy them off the floor. It took three plus hours for the salesperson to reach us with a decision, and if it had not been for the fact that we ran into her while we were walking around the store, we wonder if she ever would have reached back out to us. At that time, she said that we would have to order them, which was fine with us. It took another hour for her to do the paperwork. A few days later, she called me to ask if I had a copy of the paperwork; she apparently had lost it. Twice she promised to get back to me with answers to a couple of minor questions, but it took her several days. She always had an excuse. I would recommend the store, but be careful that you get a salesperson who is actually interested in providing good customer service or will find another salesperson who is.
Overall had a horrible experience with Furnitureland South. To summarize a long (9 month) story, we ordered a new bedroom set from FLS and received a damaged headboard that was eventually replaced. They also delayed delivery of the dresser due to it getting damaged at their warehouse. When the dresser finally arrived, it was still damaged with a large chip and crack in two of the front feet.
FLS ordered a replacement dresser which was also damaged at the warehouse prior to arriving. Apparently they re-stained the top because it is much more red than the rest of the dresser and matching mirror. To add insult to injury, this dresser also arrived with damaged feet, although the damage was minor compared to the first one.
Mind you, we ordered the furniture in May 2016 and it wasn't fully resolved until February 2017. 3 repair technician visits and 4 deliveries later, the center piece of the bedroom set, the dresser, still isn't in satisfactory condition.
Is it too much to expect that new furniture arrive in new condition? Apparently it is if you purchase from Furnitureland South.
Everything is about 3x as expensive as it should be and if you already hate furniture shopping like me, walking in here will be the worst experience of your life. Miles and miles of overpriced furniture.
Both recently and in the past we have worked with Missy Caulk. No one better. Very knowledgeable and always available to answer questions. Never any pressure. You look at your own pace with Missy available to offer advice or to clarify some aspect of the item. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking to make a possible furniture purchase. A great testimony to Furnitureland South to have her as a design consultant.

Service is top notch and Marisa s passion and love of home decor and design is forever fulfilled after a visit to your incredible facility. Great service. Sara Lee was very helpful showing us furniture choices for couch and recliner. Christy Parker has also been very helpful with information. Would highly recommend this store and personnel.
I have purchased furniture from here on two occasions. The selection has something for everyone. There is furniture that will fit into anyone's budget, no matter how big or small. The people are generally helpful and friendly (Once you make it past the front door). Now for the reason I left such a poor review. None of the information above matters if their delivery guys are careless with your furniture when they pack it up for delivery and when bringing it into the home. I recently had a delivery where every piece of furniture had damage that was caused by their delivery services negligence. I've had furniture packed and moved around the world that has had better care take of it and has arrived with no issues! MAYBE, this is an isolated incident, but the fact that they were so nonchalant about it leads me to believe otherwise.
Starbucks on the inside brings me here. Took a look around very nice inventory. Floor/showroom rep was nice and respecful. Some of the staff seem to be riding a bit of a high horse and frowned up me and my family which is why we selected furniture else where.
So far my experience with Furniture Land South has been very disappointing and frustrating. On 7/31/17 I ordered two dressers, two night stands, two end tables, and a coffee table. As of today (11/30/17) I have the end tables and coffee tables, a temporary dresser, and two night stands (one came in with an issue, but I am keeping it). The first delivery of bedroom furniture came with two damaged dressers (the FLS delivery team wouldn't even bring it in because of the damage) and a nightstand with a poor finish. The second delivery came with the living room furniture and the coffee table's bottom kept falling out so my husband had to secure it. The third shipment came with the wrong color dressers and one of the dressers was damaged AGAIN. The last delivery attempt was on 10/23 and FLS is telling me that it won't be here until mid December. That would be 4.5 months from the original order date. I have always been told that Archibold Furniture takes 3-4 weeks (I have this in an email) and now I am being told 5-7 weeks. So either my re-order was not placed right away or this factory is just slow. I do want to point out that I have been offered compensation for the issues, but at this point I am worried I will never get quality furniture from FLS.
We were able to be blessed to have Sara Hubbard as our Designer, truly so good at what she does...a professional but so down to Earth From the very beginning of our only 1 day to shop for a houseful if furniture.... she allowed open communication through a relaxed manner and a desire to make sure we were getting exactly what we were looking for.... and worked herself into blisters (literally running us where we needed to go) she knew exactly where we needed to shop and had a great knowledge and expertise of the furniture... We feel like our time was well spent working with Furniture land south and Sara ... thank you Sara for being just who we needed!!
Ashley was the best!! She turned our bad experience around.. We took the trip to buy a full house of furniture and our first sales person had no interest in helping us. Actually left a few times then we saw her just standing with other staff just talking. Then we found Ashley and she went above and beyond to help us. The five stars are for Ashley!
We thought we were going to get some good deals but that was not the case. We felt some of the items were overpriced for the quality and we did much better in furniture stores.
My experience was quite interesting as we arrived late and wanting to just find a dining room set that we like. Jonathan was very helpful and patient. So we found what we feel is a very nice table timing is a little wait but we will wait for it to come in. Service excellent we haven t gotten the table so we can t rate that yet.
An enormous showroom with diversity of styles from classic to contemporary. I shopped here in the past and I was pleased with the experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. Delivery schedules were respected. They sell quality furniture that is not cheap, but well worth the price.
Chris H. made buying living room furniture a piece of cake. My husband & I thought we knew what we wanted, but when we started looking it got frustrating very quickly. Chris was able to step in and direct us to what we were looking for in a very short period of time; in fact it was under two hours!!! We left very happy all thanks to Chris :)
Furnitureland South was above and beyond our expectations! We went to find furniture for our living room and dining room and were able to find everything we needed there! We had an appointment with one of their design consultants, Christine Eddy, and she made our experience painless! Would highly recommend and use them again.
We worked with Dawn to order parts to repair a client's piece. She was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions promptly. The order was complex and ended up extending over several days but Dawn was very patient during the whole process. I will definitely contact her with future orders.
Cindy B was a fantastic help! Furnitureland South had the wicker furniture we were searching for to replace at a rental property. We are in Cleveland, OH and furniture is going to SC. The process was easy. Can't wait to see what it looks like!!!
Omg! The absolute worst furniture buying experience. Extended a business trip to visit FLS and Hickory. Purchased items for our new home from both. All items from Hickory were eventually delivered with absolutely no issues. With FLS my sales consultant was horrible on follow up to the point that I finally had to involve her sales manager. She never informed me that a fabric for custom chairs was not available in the style of chair selected AND made the decision without consulting me to order four custom chairs. When I finally got a delivery date I was so happy to finally have my furniture that I did not make a big deal about it. The delivery was scheduled and I was out of the country. I had a relative at my house to accept the delivery for between 3 -8, at 7:30 they had not arrived or called. I called FLS and the driver. He informed he was running late and could he delivery late; close to midnight. I refused and told him to take the furniture back. He called the next day and offered a $100 credit of my delivery fee. I refused and asked for a full credit since they did not deliver. To date I have not received the credit. My furniture was eventually delivered and I am happy with all of the pieces. The swapped chairs are growing on me. I will NEVER deal with FLS for furniture. I will deal with Hickory FM. I rated 1 star because I love my furniture. They really deserve a negative.
Working with Cindy Basel was truly what made this such an amazing and effortless experience! Furnitureland South definitely has one of the best interior designers by far and I hope they realize they hit the jackpot with her. I have worked with others on several occasions and always walked away with such frustration that it would lead me to go elsewhere. From my first impression of Cindy until the close of the sale, you could see her talents and her ability to visualize far surpassed others. Her commitment to her customer is her focus. Never once was I made to feel it was only about the sale - that in itself speaks volumes in an industry based on commisions. Cindy demonstrated such commitment and compassion for what she does. She listens to what you are trying to do and makes your vision a reality. She was absolutely amazing to work with - her ideas, her creativity, her flare for design, all I can say is that she leaves you with the "WOW" factor! Kudos to Furnitureland South for recognizing talent when you see it! I am not convinced that I would be writing the same review if Cindy was not the referral I received. I now understand the raving review I heard before choosing to contact her. Now, I could not even think of decorating or purchasing furniture without consulting her first! It is evident by my review, there are not enough words to capture this young lady's talents! In closing, if you are considering the need for furniture or an interior designer, Cindy Basel without a doubt is one of the best and her work speaks for itself! She will far exceed your greatest expectations and beyond! Thank you Cindy Basel for being your amazing self!
Great prices BUT BEWARE of the service. Yes, up front service- GREAT. Execution and making sure the customer is satisfied after the initial sale - NOT GREAT!!! We spent about $12K with Furnitureland South... YES, $12K. Not only did WE have to contact THEM when our furniture arrived at THEIR facilities, but it has now been almost a month since our pieces arrived and they are still sitting at their warehouse. To their credit, we have dealt with 2 snowfalls, HOWEVER, they don't just push the schedule out a day or two, rather they re-schedule for another 1-2 WEEKS (yes, I said it - WEEKS) out! We cannot express enough how disappointed we are with the service overall. It is not just any retailer where we go and spend money to this degree. It is absolutely ridiculous they way each department just passes off responsibility as if it is no big deal. We are now going on 4 weeks without living room furniture... apparently it looks better in their warehouse!
Rob Hart is my salesperson. He makes the process of finding the perfect item for our home so easy. We have purchased 8 items and all 8 have arrived to our home in a timely manner , the delivery is flawless and the delivery team is conscientious with placement of our items and always inspect carefully before leaving. I would and have recommended Furnitureland South to my friends.
Grace and Caroline were fantastic!! My husband and I flew in from Phoenix/Scottsdale area in Arizona and we needed a whole house full of furniture and within two days we had almost everything done!! everything is custom from fabric to legs to finishes and it s half the price you would spend at a furniture store and much higher quality!! I highly recommend!!

She had done her homework so that when we arrived at the show room, our decisions were pretty straightforward. We got great prices, great furniture and great service. Kim Haire was a delight to work with.

Our Furnitureland sales consultant Angela W. was the best - she spent almost a full day walking us through the massive store, gave us so many style advice and knew her stuff down to types of wood, manufacturer, design, pricing etc. We literally had to spend 3 days at the store and drove from New York to NC to do so. Worth the trip!
Spent several hours looking for 3-4 pieces of furniture for different rooms in our house. We ended up purchasing an upholstered occasional chair for our bedroom, 60% off the retail price. The chair is exceptionally well made, the merchandise inventory is phenomenal, and the purchase process and customer service were outstanding. We only managed to get through the Outlet building, so we will return to browse through the other 2 buildings for the additional furniture we are hoping to buy there. We have purchased several furniture pieces over the past few years and highly recommend Furnitureland South, even to people who might need to travel quite a distance. It's worth the trip. Wear comfortable shoes!
Five star. My husband and I are returning customers of Furnitureland South. We got to work with designer Thomas Ingram this time. We drove down the night before so we could meet our designer first thing Monday morning.He asked us for some information prior to our appointment like layout, floor color and wall colors and our style. When we arrived he greeted us with a warm welcome and took us directly to see the furniture he felt would best match what we are looking for. Along the way he listened to our feedback so we could easily find exactly what we wanted. He nailed it and was so knowledgeable about the manufacturers. We had a great time and found everything in our list in just one afternoon.
Furnitureland south was a wonderful place to shop. The selection that is on the floor makes it easy to compare the different brands that you may be considering. The salesperson, Ann Harris, helped us tremendously. She knew quite a bit about the furniture and if she was unsure of anything she immediately found the answer. Also the prices were quite good.
Joe did a fantastic job of helping us find exactly what we wanted. He even made suggestions for the pillows that I wouldn t have thought of, helping us immensely. I will be back for all of my furniture needs! :)

I have the worst experience in here.I went here and a guy name Jason Campbell, service men, he said if I have any questions I can call him.When I went to order and tried to call him I never got a response ,(called him over ten time),he never called me back. I will not try to contact them anymore for furniture.
Selection of furniture is good, but I had a terrible experience with one of the consultants. I wound up buying most of the furniture I needed for our new house elsewhere. Their prices are not the best.
Fantastic selection, good prices. Furniture was delivered within the promised timeframe. Delivery personnel were extremely professional and took great care - they delivered several very large pieces with no damage to my wood floors. Design associate Randy Alderman was very helpful throughout the process, from helping me locate items I was interested in, through working with manufacturers to help me resolve some special requirements. A very positive experience - I will shop there again.
Everyone was great about contacting us and following up with the delivery as scheduled. Unfortunately the hutch was damaged so they are going to replace the it. Hopefully this will be expedited as the lead time was 7 weeks.

She she listened to me and what I envisioned and helped me figure out what work work best in the space. She researched fabrics and brands for me. The entire process was stress free and easy. FLS reluctantly gets one star because my overall experience is a big zero. The sales lady was pleasant and knowledgeable and was a great help. There were multiple problems with the rest of the experience. Quality control was a disaster as pieces were left out of the order and other pieces didn t make delivery.As bad as quality control was it turned out they were stars compared to customer care who brought the whole experience down to pathetic level. I also went to Havertys for a bedroom suit and the entire experience was incredibly better. I would write more and name names(you know who you are) but I must finish my complaint letter to the BBB. Stay away.
I ordered furniture worth of 7000. Paid money almost 3000. Lee Beatrous sales the person took order. Now he is not responding my email. The delivery shows in March -2020 for one bed. How can someone wait for 6 month to get furniture delivered. The person literally scammed me without telling the right shipping dates. Is this scam ? Where am I suppose to go ? I live in NJ, not in NC, so I can't personally go and talk to them. Just stuck in call here and call there... Please beware.

FLS is really the only furniture store you would ever need. The knowledgeable Design Consultants, huge selection and phenomenal prices make all the difference.
My experience with my sales person was just fine. She was very nice and helpful. However, you need to treat your trip to Furnitureland as you would a trip to Ikea...bring your own truck. I live about an hour away. I paid for my chair to be delivered, and a Tuesday 8AM-12 time frame was agreed on. I rearranged my schedule to make this work for me as I travel often during the summer months. At 3:30 on Monday (the day before) I was informed by Furnitureland that they would not in fact be delivering my furniture, and that they would be pushing back delivery a week. I will be out of town on the new delivery day and cannot change my plans.
It is now up to my to secure a truck and a driver to travel the hour and pick up my furniture myself. Furnitureland needs to understand that when an agreement is made, and the customer pays the price requested for delivery, that the company needs to honor their end of the deal. Yes, my delivery fee was refunded but that is not the point.
Anyone wanting furniture delivered from Furnitureland needs to be very clear it will only be done if convenient for them. Their customer service in this area is abysmal. I personally will not be going back.
Would highly recommend going to Furnitureland South to anyone in the market for new furniture. There is SO much to choose from and the sales associates are happy to work within whatever budget you have. We worked with Brittany and she was very helpful, super efficient (especially considering how big the place is) and was always focused on our needs. Before we even showed up she called me ahead of time to prepare for our trip and get a better sense of what we were looking for. 10/10!
