Was horrified about college until my first day.
While my personal experience may differ from the standard newcomer, my teacher was nice, the class was interesting, and the work was understandable.

This campus is AWE INSPIRING!!
Free gym, library, AND STUDY AREAS!
It has its own cafe with surprisingly delicious food and countless fully stocked vending machines. The student center has a game room that includes giant chess, a slew of board games, a Nintendo Switch, a pool table, AND ping pong!!

I WANT TO LIVE HERE!!

Helpful staff, mostly awesome professors, clean facilities, small classes.

I decided to attend this college for their RN to BSN program due to the affordability and the fact that they are a state university. Was never able to get signed up for school. Extremely hard to get in touch with someone and very confusing admission process. Basically left to my own devices with no assistance, therefore, I decided to transfer to Jacksonville University instead and so far I'm extremely satisfied with that decision, though JU is more expensive there are ways to get reduced tuition. JU has contacted me several times on what they need and where we are at in the admission process. JU's quality is far superior to FSCJ and worth the additional tuition.

The most incompetant school and staff I've ever dealt with. Nobody in administration nor financial services knows what they are doing. they dont care about the student they dont care about their job . This school needs shut down

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! I rely on my GI BILL post 911 Housing allowance and I did not receive it! Apparently FSCJ didn t send out the verification paper until 5 days ago!!!!!!!!!!! I m a full time student that relies on my monthly check. There was no heads up on the late notice!! This is very inconsiderate and unprofessional!!!

Can't answer any calls to save there life on hole for 35 min somebody not talking my calls call fscj 35times

Worst staff and Advisors. They do everything last second and screwed up a lot of students with classes for not doing things in time. Rather do online courses than come inside. Going to UNF even if I have to pay extra

poor admin department. long wait with very little help once called, every time tried to enroll there was something new delaying the process, they have lots of excuses. once you tell them that you are not happy at all about the process they will cut off communication.. If you plan to go here it is not easy to get started and I would recommend to look elsewhere they wont change till the bank account declines. so called advisors I have dealt with is Reginald Robinson, and May Mason, they are horrible and no advise should be taken seriously, if by chance you get by the admission process you should try to find someone else to help you on your path. if you are going to the engineering program Darrell High is very helpful and the success of the program is directly a result of his effort. Darrel is great at taking care of his students...

FSCJ has great teachers but the administration staff are horrible! They will not be helpful at all.

I decided I wanted to go back to school and I was super excited about it. I filled out the application, sent over my transcripts, took the TABE test, then applied for the program. After all that, I got told my social was wrong in the computer. It said I applied for the spring and fall. I only applied for the fall. I filled out a social security merge form and a month later I haven't heard a thing. So I kept calling and going to the school. First they tell me my social was right on the application, then it was wrong on another thing. I'm beyond aggravated at this point. The program application was due May 5th and here it is almost 2 months later and I didn't even get a acceptance, decline letter, or anything. It's not fair that something that could've been easily fixed prevented me from starting school.

Worst School ever. FSCJ have quality trained monkeys, that are available to assist you. The monkeys in financial aid office dont know how to do there job. I see why this school has a low graduation percentage. Alot of us students are still without our financial aid dispersement and waiting on march. How do you go to school without gas and how do you pay bills, and what do you eat. All there feeding us is Bananas.

Absolutely horrible customer service. It's not that they are not nice and helpful... It is the fact you will literally have to wait hours at a time to get a hold of anyone. I went into campus to meet an adviser and waited three hours, and then their system stopped working, and I had to leave empty handed. I came the next day, and waited three hours, and then met with someone and was told that nothing I needed could be fixed. The adviser seemed flustered, and unapologetic towards how unhelpful she was. I just called, and was put on hold for an hour and a half and then they hung up on me. Good luck....

Literally just reviewing and giving them one star because I have had to deal with SO many technical difficulties, and I never seem to get through to the help desk. Today I am told to reset my password because it expired. I thought nothing of it then tried to make a new password only to be told my password doesn't "meet the criteria". Thinking I did something wrong, I carefully reread the instructions and made a new password. I have now tried 10 different unique, alternating caps with numbers passwords. None of them worked. Now I am locked out of my account, can't get ahold of the technical support desk, and have an exam tommorrow. I have been on hold for 45+ minutes, and have been told that I am the 4th person in line. 5 minutes later I am now the 14th person in line. Get it together, FSCJ.

They have LOST my textbooks and paperwork multiple times. Financial aid office forces you to wait anywhere from 15-45 minutes and then they usually make you talk to some teenagers who have no idea about anything instead of a REAL counselor more than half the time, even if they are clearly not busy. Go to any other campus instead, I assure you it's worth the drive.

Been waiting on the financial aid department over a month now and still haven't heard nothing about the financial aid all they keep telling me is to check my connections..

The worst college ever!! I graduated from High School on 2017 and I ve been trying to start my clases with them since then! As today they are asking me to pay 900 for a mistake they made and I ve only taken 1 class. This is unreal

Small classrooms, knowledgeable teachers, and expanding educational programs. My experience has been good, I don't expect perfect and all my teachers have been fair. Teachers have a compassion for teacher and care if their students learn the material. I have seen students argue with teachers, but most of the experiences are typically the student is in the wrong. If people are searching for perfect then I don't know what school to tell them to go to, but if you want a good education, one on one teaching, good tutoring labs, and an area where most people are put in a position to succeed then this is not a bad school. The only issue with this success is that your grades are not given and if you don't work you won't succeed which is what college is about.

Veterans office here is terrible at doing their job. Although they say they are a military friendly school their lack of work ethic and knowledge about the GI bill and other entitlements is extremely disappointing. They take forever to do anything, anytime you have a question their first response is "I don't know" or they just give you a phone number to call the actual VA. What is the school paying them for if they just hand out phone numbers to call. So far they have not proved to me that they can adequately help veterans.

signed up for classes, they dropped the class. Resigned up for a different section, they dropped that 2 days before school started. I give up this semester.

FA office is garbage and the service is beyond horrendous

Absolutely horrible. Every semester THEY make a mistake with my financial aid and tell ME that I owe them money. When I call or go to advising, they are absolutely useless. Nobody knows what they re doing.

The teachers are great but the financial aid and advisors are horrible for the most part. You might find a few good ones but its rare. Im a volleyball alumni from FSCJ and back then we were treated great. Now that I'm just a regular student coming back, every semester has been horrible. I was dropped from my classes 4x because they financial aid couldn't get the funds out on time. I have to call over 20x. Now I'm trying to get everything done for Summer I even went in and talked to both department spa d registered for the summer terms. They told me I had nothing to worry about, even though I asked multiple times if I needed to do anything else. Now it has been a month and I still haven't been offered a loan. I called in after waiting forever and they lady in financial aid is saying I can't get loans when I'm on a warning. Im only on a warning due to classes from 5 years go. Also how would I have been able to get financial aid last semester, which I received As & Bs. Nothing they say makes since. Now Im having to ask for supervisor again for the second semester in a row and I have only been back for one semester. Get your stuff together FSCJ. I would have switched schools already if I wasn't going for the Converged Communications Degree Only they offer.
