The cake was good but since when is it "policy" not to slice a tarte cake because of fruit on top that has already been paid? It was a birthday cake for someone and seeing how they can make a Ken doll cake I don't understand how you can't slice a cake so as a first time customer I can eat a bit in the shop with the birthday person. Anyways they still did it, thanks, but no I don't appreciate the lecture and won't be coming back. P.S. I'm a beginner cook and non-baker and I was able to slice it neatly without making a mess at home with a pizza cutter. Sorry I'm not the type of customer you favor seeing.

Charming neighborhood bakery that I wish was in walking distance in my neighborhood. Beautiful cakes, tasty pies, and yummy cookies. Croissants are flaky and their breads are good. You can even buy chocolate ganache to finish a home made cake.
Can t beat it. They do beautiful work! Call the night before. They ll do anything. My office has come to expect Freeport cakes for any occasion. It s not a family occasion either if there s no Freeport Cake present. Worth the $
Sorry, I just don't understand the hype. There were a few flies crawling on all the uncovered bakery goods behind the counter. And their blueberry muffins are horrible (almost tastes like out of a box). Maybe the pies are good but I don't know. The staff was pleasant and the coffee good. But I don't see myself rushing back there, not when there are flies involved!
The ONLY place we go for our celebration cakes! The cakes are always amazing, customer service is great, and the creative team is notably talented and great with custom orders. The bakery is a Sacramento staple and well loved by everyone. Whenever there's a Freeport cake, you'll get the "aah"s and "ooooh!"s! There's even a vegan chocolate cake!

Great place for a cake. They also have other treats. You will pay for Quality here. If you want something custom just ask them ahead of time.
They have a nice variety, so I created my own little sampler bag. I ordered a vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing (flavorful homemade icing; I'd purchase again), raspberry pocket (pocket was bland; I would not order again), oatmeal raisin cookie (could use more butter or salt; I would not order again) and a sugar cookie (not too bad; may order again). I think this bakeries area of strength are cakes and not so much the cookies.

I have been getting my cakes from here since i got married. My wedding cake was amazing! They are pricey but it's totally worth it! I get all my cakes here. After my son was born we get all his cakes from here also. It's so good !
What's not to like! From cakes to cookies, everything is super delicious. It's a little on the expensive side for us but we try to stop by once a month for a treat!

Freeport had my friends favorite cake, the blackout. But, the salted caramel, honey, and champagne called are all great. Came pops are loved by my kids.

We recently ordered all of our reception desserts from this bakery. The staff in the wedding department were awesome. Very accommodating and willing to work with me even though I was working from long distance. They offer cake tastings and custom cake designs. We ordered several flavored cupcakes and a couple of pies. Our guest couldn't get enough. Thank you for adding a bit of sweetness to our special day. .

We used Freeport Bakery for our wedding this week. Planning and tasting with Amy and Susan went well and we were very excited! When we arrived to pick-up the cake, the bakers were clearly disorganized and rushing people in and out. They couldn't find our order. Then they told us that our cake wasn't planned for pickup until the following day, even though we had the paperwork that said otherwise. They apologized, said they would have the cake ready in 30 minutes. Okay, that's fine. When we picked up the cake, the design was wrong, and the cake was clearly rushed and looked messy. Sure, it tasted good, but presentation and timeliness are extremely important for a wedding. My wife cried, which is the last thing I wanted to see on our wedding day. Freeport seems to be biting-off more than they can chew, unfortunately. Definitely use at your own risk for big or special events right now.

This place makes some tasty fancy cakes. When I came to pick up my cake, I was tempted to try some of the sweet baked goods displayed up front.
My go-to local bakery for cakes. You can pre-order online, but they also offer a limited selection of their standard 7" round cakes in the bakery case. Carrot cake is one of my favorites here. During busier times, parking can be a challenge.
Very friendly staff, delicious white cold mocha with whip cream and the hazelnut chocolate bread. Two regular mocha with the bread about $11.
$45 to deliver a cake to a destination 2 miles away is ridiculous regardless of how good it is

Best Bakery in Sacramento! Freeport Bakery has the best cakes. I love the Seville Marnier, & the Fruit Basket Cake. I plan on trying all of the eventually. The service is excellent and the cakes I take to friends houses are always a huge hit.
