Great food and always open late. The only place I've known that makes quesarito.

They sure do know how to pander to their target audience, college students, with the giant portion size. The best part is that they don't sacrifice quality for that. They food is very tasty. I personally like sharing the nachos. It's just the right size for two people to share.

Great burritos. Was told about this place a while back and now it's a must stop for dinner on my way back home.

BEST NACHOS IN THE WORLD!! They are worth every penny. The line usually moves fast and once again, their NACHOS ARE GREAT!!

If you're in Isla Vista, go here. Might appear like just a chipotle style place, but it's leaps and bounds better.

Iconic local burrito joint with no gimmicks, or fluff. Everything is as you see it. Perfectly straightforward with unparalleled Burritos, great nachos, and even a solid sauce bar. If you're in the area, it's a must visit.

Freebirds is delicious and addictive. It is part of my UCSB experience and I am thankful for that. The employees are always working hard and fast. Your order is always on point! And the good tastes like your abuela and all your tias are in the back making you a delicious meal. This place is love.

Freebirds has been my absolute favorite place for a burrito the quality of the food is pretty good for the price and the sandwich cost you less than $10 they also have the side salad bar which you can add to your dish. It has been there for many many years and I have eaten here for over a decade and I've always been happy with the service and the quality of the food I will highly recommend to those people who like burrito to visit this place!

One of the best Mexican food place in Goleta. I used to be chipotle fan but since the day I had Freebirds I never went back to chipotle.
But a little note for the owner, PLEASE HAVE YOUR EMPLOYEES WEAR GLOVES WHILE HANDLING THE FOOD.

At first people compared it to Chipotle, but honestly Freebirds is much better in my opinion.

Very fast and very quick to do food, also, very tasty food.

The food was average. I had to demand that the servers put on gloves. The servers touched the tortilla and cheese with their bare hands, which in my opinion is not sanitary. I decided not to buy the food. Disgusting!

I know about feeebird about I was at the UCSB. Freebird has always been my absolute most favorite burrito place in Santa Barbara. The quality of the food the amount of the food they provide and they freshness of ingredients is unparalleled with anywhere else that I know and you never go hungry once you eat their burrito. I am vegan and I can make the best and most delicious vegan burrito sandwich stat money can buy for about $10 and that is a monster burrito.

I didn't go to UCSB but still heard about this place. Generous portions but the prices have seemed to have increased a bit. It's open late and there is seating both inside and outside. As it is in the heart of Isla Vista it has a really strong college give but the Chicken tacos were good and actually spicy.

As long as you can find parking in IV, you need to go here. Seems like every Mexican food place started making huge burritos after Freebirds opened years ago. This is more Tex-Mex, and it is GOOD

It s good food. But the service was bad. I had a nacho veggie bowl and since I asked for an extra scoop of beans, the guy decided to tell the cashier to charged me an extra dollar. I told them it was not right to charge extra just for a scoop of beans plus they never mentioned it when I asked for extra even though they were not busy at the time.
I ve always come to this place and placed the same exact order, this is the first time this happened. Veggie bowl is just rice and beans, the management should be a little bit considerate on that.
The way he decided to handle this was not the best. $1 might not be much, but this definitely changed my opinion about this place.

I mean, you simply can't go wrong with a huge plate of nachos anytime day or night. Freebirds is a IV tradition for me everytime.

Super yummy! Everything was fresh. Family loved it. Great that it's open super late. No one there speaks English but they do a great job. We will be back!

Very big portions of tasty food. However, expensive for what you get and THEY DONT FOLLOW POSTED HOURS, which is mega annoying if you drive a distance because they are the only place claiming to be open at whatever time it is. Twice in a week and I think y'all lost a customer

So so so sad about the downward trend that has come upon Freebirds. Back in the day, this was a funky, happening place. Music, specific burritos, & that cult-following you get when you aren t doing what everyone else is doing.
Well, no longer. This is basically like a ...gag...Subway for Mexican food. So sad, too, because we brought our kids back from across the country to show them how great Freebirds was. Nope. Just not great. No music, no special vibe, no funky anything. Such a huge bummer.

Open long hours and always busy, but they make really good burritos! This is a build your own place with a decent selection of options for burritos, bowls, fajitas, and nachos. What really stands this place out is the flavor. Their rice is good, the beans (pintos or refried) are great, and the roasted fajita veggies have a wonderful char flavor that I always look for. They have some inside tables and outside tables. A must experience location.

LOVE Freebirds. Their nachos are to die for and will last you 2-4 meals in leftovers.

Staff super friendly, line moves very quick. Parking is very limited (there is a lot nearby though), and seating is somewhat sparse too.

Freebirds World Burrito is one of my family's favorite places in Santa Barbara or Goleta for grabbing take-out dinner. True, this place has a reputation as being a target for buzzed UCSB student to grab an oversized tray of Nacho Chips with all the fixings 24x7, but my favorite menu item is their super delicious Corn Tacos, built-up with black beans, rice, grilled peppers, Fried onions and guacamole filling (i.e. Vegetarian style) My wife and I split a plate of two tacos, one each, while our boys choose either a Monster Chicken burrito or Quesarito, which are more substantial offerings. Their Horchata is above average for SB Taqueria's, (if a bit expensive) and I do recommend you grab two of their homemade chocolate chip cookies if you are ever lucky enough to be there on Friday or Saturday evening when those are available.

Freebirds is the best Burrito ever and the Nacho's are great too. Worth going to IV for. Not sure why I don't eat there at least once a week.

It was great in college and still is great. Either a night out in IV or a concert at the Hub, you have to get freebirds afterwards. It's just what you do.

Treat yourself and get a quesarito.

Also maybe a horchata.

I just wish they still had tuna (cactus syrup; not the fish) for the horchata.

This place is a must go to if in Santa Baraba, very good burritos.. Not a good as Cali Tocos in Anaheim but they are up there as a must go to if your in the area.

Pricey but great quality and huge portions. Try the quesorrito!

What can I say, this place is incredible. They are 24/7 always busy, but the line goes by quick and the food is as fresh as it can get. Its a must to stop here each time i visit.

Never had the chain Freebirds, but the original in Santa Barbara makes a good burrito. And cookies!

I have been going to Freebirds for years and I know what it should feel like to walk in one, but this Freebirds had none of the characteristics of one. Most of the other Freebirds have interesting decorations, beautiful menus and a unique style but this one had none of that. They also don't even have nacho cheese or the cayenne tortilla. This is easily the worst Freebirds I have been to, they were out of lots of ingredients and I will not be coming back to this one. This isn't a Freebirds, this is just another burrito place.

One of the best local burrito places. I go here for lunch almost every week. Try the horchata.

This is the spot. I always stop here when I'm in town. Do not be deceived. I have eaten at Freebirds in another city. Not the same food. Goleta is the real thing!

I love Freebirds. It is a staple in the IV community, and has been continuously serving late night meals for UCSB students. I have been enjoying many excellent burritos and bowls here, and will continue eating here.

Your go to place at any time of the day. Quality meat and guac, delicious burritos and quesadillas made perfectly. The staff often does not speak to you and sticks to speaking spanish with their peers without even looking at you.

Too bad that there isn't that "friendly" vibe you often find in other restaurants. When you ask for "a little more" they tend to frown. Overall worth the price.

Freebirds has some awesome burritos! If you've never been and you have a big appetite, the monster burritos won't let you down! I'm pretty sure they are bigger than your head. Everything is great though, and the ingredients are fresh. This is also really great drunk and/or hangover food.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The best place to go for late night cravings. We always get nachos with extra cilantro and then grab a load of salsa and pico de gallo from the open salsa bar. They have the best pico, hands down.
