Four Seasons Resort at Wailea is the best luxury resort in Maui. We had the unique opportunity to stay at three different resorts in Maui and the Four Seasons wins hands down for luxury. From check-in to dinner at Spago to buying gifts, everyone one was on their game. Service is the best. The overall feeling of being appreciated by the resort made it all that much special. I believe everyone should once in their life make their way to Maui and spend some time at this Four Seasons Resort. Also this is the perfect place to watch a sun set.

We have stayed at the hotel several times each a different experience always wonderful from watching a glorious sunset to a whale breaching in the distance plus the always terrific service from the wonderful staff

We did power snorkeling this morning, it was great. Saw several turtles and a lot of fish. I would recommend going at high tide, I think you would have better luck seeing turtles. The staff was very helpful and well informed. Had a great time and will be planning to do it again on our next visit.

FS has and does ALWAYS go the extra mile! They upgrade my room when they can at a good rate. Everything is always perfect. The staff smiles and says hello when you walk by and it's genuine. Just absolutely love it here!

Fabulous oceanfront Resort on Maui s south shore. The Lobby Lounge offers a great place to enjoy the sunset while sipping on craft cocktails in a super comfy setting. Delicious small bites available too, for kids and adults.

A bit disappointing. Breakfast buffet (we chose the most expensive one) quite limited in selection, despite the price being on the top end.
Pool area doesn't really allow much for swimming, quite small and distributed.
Windows are not sound proof at all - be aware when you are in a room that looks at the entrance area or the street. We woke up early every morning from arriving vehicles. Other guests even asked for ear plugs since they had rooms facing the street.

I love the Four Seasons because, well, it s the Four Seasons. Excellence is what you do, and quite honestly, it s what I ve come to expect; which is why I m willing to spend the money that I did.

That said, as great as the facility and accommodations are, what made the greatest impression on me was the attention to detail; specifically the small things. I.e, remembering my wife and sons name, a hand written note upon our arrival, a gift for my son, bathroom sponges that spelled out his name, the ear-to-ear smile that every staff member greeted us with, the conversations that staff members seemed genuinely interested in having, etc. Everyone made it exceptionally easy for us to relax.

The glitz and glamour make the first great impression but the most important and long lasting impression was seeing my wife and son being doted on throughout our entire stay.

I have dined several times at their outside restaurant and their food and services were top notch. I also have used their small outside shop outside the beach and off the beach path. It is a lifesaver on those hot days.

Stopped in for a quick meal while staying at the Grand Wailea next door. First time they said it would be a 40 minute wait because the guests staying at the hotel had priority, but we saw several empty tables. We went elsewhere and tried again the next day. Got seated right away, but the food was mediocre. Meals are precious when you're here on vacation, and with so many other really fabulous restaurants in walking distance, I don't think I'll be eating at their beachside restaurant again.

Very nice resort. This is our first time staying at a luxury hotel and we were a little surprised by the cost of everything. Now that we've had this experience we know to expect drinks to be $20, and food to be $40 or $50 a meal. The staff have been very friendly and accommodating, overall it's been a very good experience.

Absolutely a dream vacation! Went for a monumental family event and enjoyed every moment. We were treated to a room upgrade and special treats in the room. Romantic, beautiful and things for the whole family to do. Can't wait to go back again.

This four seasons resort is amazing. You won t go wrong booking here. Rooms are amazing with best views of the ocean. The spa services were superb and our son loved the Kids for all seasons- he had a blast and they did all kinds of fun activities each day. Will definitely return during our next visit to Maui.

Had a great time here at the four seasons, but I don't think it was worth the money. Rooms were clean and staff was super friendly. Hotel had a fun vibe all day long. Lobby bar was fun but like I said every thing here was super expensive. Will. It be coming back to this location only because of the price. We would have rather saved the money and spent it on something else.

I don't know what that other reviewer is saying, this is the best Four Seasons ever! Upon arrival, I was catered to my every need. Special thanks to Amante for making us feel so happy. This hotel has an awesome open lobby, private cars, several pools and world class service. Things, like the gym and arcade with Xboxes made us feel very comfortable. The bathrooms had a function where you can play Hawaiian music. My personal favorite was the free ginger-mint lemonade every afternoon in the lobby. It was just wonderful and I loved my time here. Kudos to all there!!

The restaurant was overpriced for the food with received. Chicken dish was very generic with barely a piece of vegetable to accompany, corn "risotto" was basically creamed corn, deceptive name, wine arrived long after we had received the food, and the dessert, although visually fantastic, was dry and lackluster.

My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights in April of 2017. This is a brief summary of our experience.

While the location is amazing, it is severely lacking in consistent quality of service and food.

While some of the staff were outstanding, far too many would have been marginal at a Holiday Inn much less at a Four Seasons. I was nearly insulted by a front desk agent when inquiring about credit holds each day assessed to my credit card. A few of the pool attendants were indifferent boarding on being rude. Some were outstanding and incredibly friendly, professional and went out of their way to be exceptionally accommodating but this was more the exception than the rule.

Quality of food was very inconsistent. The eggs at breakfast were either poorly over cooked each day or were reconstituted from a powdered/dehydrated mix. Waffles were bland and tasteless. The Chicken in both the quesadilla and on the nachos was amazing. Dinner at Ferraro's was outstanding.

The room, while overall nice, was a bit dated with incredibly heavy sliding glass doors which had small, somewhat sharp handles making it somewhat difficult to open. (I'm a mid-40's Ironman athlete so it's not like I'm a frail old man here!) Poor insulation between rooms allowed far too much noise to come through the walls and ceiling for a resort of this caliber.

In my opinion, the GM is at fault for all of this. I cannot recommend this hotel as much as I loved the location. It would not take too much effort to fix these flaws.

We came over for dinner and were really impressed with what we could see. There was a free hula show in the lobby while we were waiting for our reservation. We were offered free appetizers several times by various courteous staff. Beautiful lobby and pool area. How can you not give this view 5 stars.

My family and I back just got back from a week stay at the Four Seasons maui. We have stayed at other luxurious hotels but have to say the Four Seasons Maui wins our no. 1 vote. We had the most incredible time. The customer service of everyone at the hotel was AMAZING. I have to say it is the best place to stay in Maui. It is just a spectacular place. The property is the best location. The staff is TOP NOTCH. They all went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We stayed at the club floor and was very impressed by the service, food, and drinks. The staff that works the club floor Pat, Rowena, Jiji, Kimberly, Shawna, Margaret, Tracy, Sharon they were the BEST! They all made our stay super amazing. They sure know how to treat their guests right. They made us feel so at home. They know how to spoil you. And they made the best drinks. Mai tais were my favorite. Jeff M. the director of recreation and his staff were incredible too. Kindness and service very well mastered. Chris P. the front office manager was very accomodating. A beautiful well kept hotel that is graced with an ideal location and the best staff you will ever meet. We cannot wait to come back next year. Treat yourself and stay at this hotel you will love every moment. I have to add if you are looking to do adventures Maui undersea Adventures at the hotel is the best. Blaze took my kids who have never gone diving before on 2 diving adventures. He was an incredible guide and showed my kids how the ocean has so much to be discovered and appreciated. He took very good care of them under water and under those dark caves. They loved every moment of it. They will always remember their time with Blaze .Thank you to all of you at Four Seasons Maui. Job very well done.

Had dinner at the Duo restaurant and it was fabulous. We were seated with a nice view of the pools and sunset. Service was great and attentive. Had ribeye and seared catch of the day fish, both were perfectly done and tasty.

Great Service all around. Evelyn and Donna at Duo, June at The Valet were standouts for me. They were experience makers and really took initiative to make this an awesome vacation.

The absolute best, most attentive and accommodating resort I've ever been to. Will judge all others against this experience.

Possibly the only draw back is the limited number of seats around the adult only pool, though it was easy to find quiet/kid-free spots around the "regular" pool.

Returned home last night after 6 glorious days and nights at this exquisite resort. It was our fourth visit and we look forward to our next stay as we have only great experiences and opinions to share. The location on Wailea Beach is convenient for ocean access, the pools are glorious, the restaurant options are wonderful and the staff is exceptional. Our typical day starts with an early healthy and delicious breakfast at Duo and then straight to the infinity pool where we always find great seating with exceptional ocean views. A few hours of wandering back and forth from the pool to the ocean with maybe a light lunch and/or cocktail poolside. By early afternoon I hit the gym (when it s pretty empty) and then up to the room for a fantastic shower and shave and moisturizing session. Then comes nap time in a chilled room, under a ceiling fan, in a great bed with fine linens. Cocktails in the lobby bar and then dinner at Spago, Ferraro or Duo. The only time we leave campus is to go to Big Beach, Hali imaile General Store, Mama Fishhouse or maybe do the Hana loop. Special recognition to the staff, the front desk, the valet crew, the concierge, housekeeping, the wait staff and bartenders are all friendly and eager to go out of their way to assist and make your stay as splendid as possible. This is a splurge for us, but it is well worth it and we intend to return many more times.

Stayed here for three nights, the adult serenity pool is fabulous, sweetie up bar and in water tanning areas, great service for food and drinks can be hard to get seats in the shade but as long as your are in the pool you are cool, the morning buffet at duos is fabulous, the view from the room is fabulous

The resort is beautiful and the customer service is second to none. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey, but the food was terrific. If you have younger kids, I highly recommend the Outrigger adventure offered for free by the resort. My boys (10 and 13) loved it. The guides were very knowledgeable. The resort also rents snorkeling gear for great reef viewing right off the resort beach as we saw several sea turtles.

Four Seasons NEVER disappoints. We have been to a few properties and this one was by far our favorite. Staff is ALWAYS amazing, the property is well kept and beautiful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. They always have a great variety of eating establishments and shops and plenty to do. We will be back again - FS Wailea is truly paradise on Earth.

Just a short day visit to discuss wedding options. A truly high-class and beautifully landscaped hotel on a waterfront location. We received excellent service, though of course, it is very expensive

Avila's El Ranchito, I was completely disappointed, the order we made to take, horrible,! no tortillas with the chicken fajitas, no grilled chicken how I ordered, just pieces of chunk chicken, with no flavor, no salt, the only good and nice thing was the soup, is the only thing they did well of the order I ordered..
Too bad.

I've never stayed at a resort of this caliber.. It was incredible. Everything is absolute luxury, and a lot of what was amazing was the small details. Duo was an incredibly delicious dinner, and it was priced accordingly. However, when it came to breakfast everything changed for me.. This review started as a 5 star, but because breakfast is a really big part of an experience for me, it dropped to a 2. A good breakfast or bad breakfast can really determine one's rest of the day.. Based on my experience thus far, I was really excited about what breakfast would hold. That is until I went to breakfast again at Duo. The staff was nice, but that's where it stopped. I have no problem spending $60-$100 per plate for a nice dinner. I do have a problem spending $55 for a regular buffet style breakfast. $30-$40, no problem.. $55 is ridiculous for a breakfast unless it has some seriously high end food. It did not. This is literally exactly the same type of food that any breakfast buffet has.. So then I decided to order room service, a burger w/bacon, mushrooms, and an extra patty (to make it a double), and was told that it would take 45 minutes. But none of this is why I am leaving a 2 star review. That reason is based on what happened when I asked the front desk, and subsequently the concierge for somewhere I could get just a regular breakfast.. The front desk was definitely kinder, but really didn't know where I could go. The concierge on the other hand was rude and condescending, and ultimately said that not only would I have to leave the property, but the whole area. I get it, this is a high end resort, $55 for eggs and Portuguese sausage sitting on a buffet line is not high end.. A NY steak and eggs at $55, no problem. Breakfast for me is really important. And to offer a low end buffet at a high end price was a deal breaker.. For that price, at least offer high end food.
