Silver Dollar Saloon and Steakhouse Review

I have been their a couple of times and they have great freaking burgers and steaks and margaritas. Plus my son Richard & grandsons TJ & Chris are their, so drop bye and say Hi to them.

Food was good. Bartender was meh. Located in an area that seems to have a lot of history. Try the tri tip. I was annoyed a bit in the beginning because the service was slow to start. I almost left.

Their food is good and Epstein didn't kill himself.

Nice server. Pretty good menu though not loaded with choices. Hubby had Salmon with Rice, Veggies & French Bread for $18.95. I had a very good sandwich with Roast Beef, Swiss Cheese, Tomato & Onion. Fries came with it for $11.95. It was cold inside for me. I needed a jacket.

Burgers were dry and overcooked, but what are you gonna do? Unfortunately I chose to complain about being served burnt onion rings before trying the burger. I asked for well done. These were actually black, you know, burnt. I could not believe someone would plate them. Then I was given raw French frys and just stopped trying at that point. The high point and really the only reason to go here were the free desserts to make up for ruining our $50 lunch. The Carmel/Chocolate Pot de Creme was superb and the lemon meringue cheesecake could have been at any 4 star steak place. The waiter was great and the bartender was nice, just lousy food other than the desserts.

I've only been here twice, both times for food and not the bar. Had good food and service both times. Quirky, mostly violence-themed decorations include barbed wire, guns (or maybe it was bullets), and a mannequin in the bathroom that's probably a reference to the longtime (former) brothel just down the street, so maybe not for kids but fun and different for adults. It gets noisy enough at night that conversations have to be carried on loudly, but no more so than the average popular bar.

Ordered a mushroom burger they used to be excellent not anymore actual burger meat was as big around as a soda can ridiculous for 12plus dollars and this was giving the place a second chance last time waiting for 1hour13min for food finally got up and left it's sad cuz we used to enjoy the place sorry won't go ever again

Silver Dollar is a great time everyone so friendly it has wonderful food great people good for kids also. All are so very happy. The owners are so awesome l have known them for years. We will see them soon . Enjoy your time at the Silver Dollar. Marysville California

Thin sliced prime rib sandwich was delicious. Onion rings were great too.

Generally good food, but this time fries were cold, but the bleu burger was super tasty and fresh!

We were exploring Marysville, saw the park next to this place and decided to go in and get a drink. I am partial to old places and this was built in 1858. They have a beautiful bar, it was found in a barn! Great experience, good fries fun visit!

Their basic burger is fantastic and their onion rings are really good

This place has the best fall off the bone ribs I have EVER had. The people that left less than 5 stars are spoiled idiots! I drove 500 miles to eat here!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly without being pushy and the meal options might be a little higher priced than I'm used to but they deserve their prices. I had the Tri-tip dinner and it was melt in your mouth delicious!!!!

This place has more than pub grub. Steaks and rice bowls also. The nachos were a little soupy but tasty. Friendly service. Good beer specials. Nice old west displays.

I had the Bacon and Bleu cheese burger...with their golden home fries. The burger was very good, but their fries were incredeble! Fried to the pwrfect golden brown and not greasy at all...and they use fresh oil in their fryer...

Had a great time and enjoyed the private tour we will be back

I was visiting from Florida and the server and chef came through for me in a big way. Great menu, food and especially enjoyed the fried pickles which were my late husband's favorite. Thsnks again for everything.

Great old time Saloon and eating establishment, try the Buffalo Burger.

Not a good experience. We didn't get our drink order in until we had been there 15 minutes. We put our order in at the same time. Food came back 15 minutes later. We weren't checked on once through our meal, we had to get their attention for some silverware. The French fries had been refried and were totally dried out. I would say it may have been the time of day (lunch hour, on a Thursday though), but there is no excuse for refrying your fries. Especially at this price. We did get a discount because I let them know we only ate a part of our meal, the rest was inedible. Maybe I will give it another chance if someone else is paying and it is their suggestion. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Food was messed up the last two times I was there. Hair in my food ..ended up in the bathroom getting sick because of it.

Wow! This old style bar is THE spot!

Born over century ago, this place has tons of old style traditional appeal.
There is lots of atmosphere as the booming spot. Great service and a great bar. Beer selection isn't huge but has the preffered California basics and some more.

Aside from being an awesome bar with awesome old style appeal, they have an excellent food selection.
This is not your typical bar food, though they have it too. They have grade A steakhouse food of a premium and delicious quality. Prices are somewhat high for California but definitely worth it.

Exactly what you think it is and better. The steaks are outstanding. Check it out you won't be disappointed.

While the prices are slightly high, the portions. are VERY large. My hot sandwich (thin sliced steak with sauted mushrooms, onions, bell peppers & several melted cheeses) was absolutely Awesome!! My boyfriend had the mushroom burger. It was also large and he said great.. We both took home half of our plate. My one issue...my garlic fries were not crispy but soggy. That was disappointing but the garlic flavor and amount, Excellent. Also our appetizer, simple mozzarella sticks were excellent. Piping hot, good amount of batter, just right! we would definitely go back.

Usually I love this place. Went there with a lot of friends. I ordered the prime rib and i was disappointed. However, my friends ordered the rib eye steak and it was great tasting. Next time I will stick with rib eye. Also, great place to meet with friends for drinks and listen to live music.

Great Historical Western style bldg.in Downtown Marysville, California. Food taste great, Full bar, good prices and casual. Fun times, music, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Outside patio seating, restrooms, dance floor and more. Article in local paper today about this historic bldg.,restaurant and bit about area. Cool love history.

This restaurant is the one I like best. I eat in many restaurants but to this one I go the most. The stuff is very warm and the food they serve is so tasty. I never miss an opportunity to have a good dinner in this place. I highly recommend this place.

It was fabulous. Enjoy the Silver Dollar. So much, food was great and the service was spectacular.

We stopped here on the way home from the lake. Thought we would give it a shot. I ordered the fries and the chicken strips. The fries were fresh cut and pretty good but the chicken strips were heavily breaded and super hard. It was way to pricey for the quality we received. Probably won't be going back.

The service, food, and atmosphere are all great! No better place to unwind after a long day or just catch up with friends! The staff are friendly and fun, and the food is always cooked and presented perfectly.

They have new owners. The "new" menu needs to be revamped badly! However, food is delicious still. Just need more of a variety.
