First time here, had the shrimp & grits and it had lots of flavor and was filling. Was warned to save room for dessert, and glad that I did the warm beignet was delicious with caramel, raspberry, and chocolate sauce.

Excellent food. Pleasant wait staff. 11 am brunch time was much too busy for this location. We waited 15 minutes for hot tea and a cappuccino. Our food order was also slow. Would gladly come again at an earlier time.

The concept is great, the actual place and ambience is very good too-been situated in a swanky part of town helps. However, the food needs some work. Farm to table is good but it needs to be cooked and presented better. The special breakfast was not special- plated worse than I would at home. The eggs, the sausage, the potato hash- all lacked what I know as flavor- including salt. The lemonade was too sweet. The bacon-hash thing was interesting and the only thing that had some flavor. Oh, and the beignets were nice too- even if a bit too burnt. Perhaps it is places like this one that puts off people from "farm to table" concepts as gimmicky. So, Founding Fathers- for the sake of farm-to-table restaurants everywhere, please get some taste in them foods? Thanks!

First time visiting this restaurant. We were not impressed. There seems to be too much hype about this place. And Loud. It is uncomfortably loud.
Food was mediocre at best. We started with appetizers. 1)Fried green tomatoes which had no taste. None, nada. Adding the sauces that came with it did not help either. 2) bacon wrapped cheese filled dates. Absolute dissatisfaction. I'm still trying to get over the burned taste bacon had -because it was burned- and how little cheese had inside.
After such bad start, we did not feel the desire to keep exploring the menu, so we ordered grilled cheese sandwich, and a chicken noodle soup. Both were "meh"

The staff is super friendly and the food is delicious! If you are looking for amazing comfort food, look no further than Founding Farmers MoCo!! I highly recommend the cornbread, farm breads, chicken noodle soup. When I want something healthy I order the good all green salad with salmon. The rest of the time I go after the Four Corn Chicken Salad or the Chicken Pot Pie (yummm).

I have been to Founding Farmers before and had a good experience. A friend is getting married so I decided to host a surprise bridal brunch for her at the Founding Farmers in North Potomac. I called and made the reservation for 12:30 on a Sunday - which I understand is a busy time. With that being said the gentleman on the phone told me to show up a few minutes early so I could set the table up the way I wanted to. I showed up early and ended up having to stall the bride to be by almost 45 mins b/c there was no table available. While I was standing there the manager came over to "apologize" to the party of 12 - which once she realized wasn't my party quickly walked away leaving my party standing there. She provided the party of 12 all champagne and never once bothered to apologize for the fact that I too had made a reservation and had no table. What is the point of offering reservations if you don't actually hold the table? My waitress luckily was nice but the food was really only decent. They didn't have items on the menu - which was probably b/c it was more towards the end of brunch since we got seated late and my food wasn't even hot. I just thought it was really crappy that no one even offered a complimentary appetizer or a round of drinks for the inconvenience. Nice atmosphere but really don't know if I will ever come back after that.

Ordered the Impossible Burger for carryout on 2 different occasions. Both times, the burger was overcooked (dry and crunchy). Additionally, the fries were cold, practically upon receipt on the first visit. On the second visit, the salad had cheese even though I requested it to have none. I first had an Impossible Burger in TX at Rodeo Goat and it was incredible! I want that same taste experience, or as close to it as possible. Unfortunately, my experiences with MoCo Founding Farmers were both absolutely disappointing.

They need to rehire some staff because I noticed that's some of them were high with bloodshot eyes. Our waitress was all over the place. However, the food is good and the service is good. I would recommend another place. Make this your second choice

Ordered a $20 crazy corn chicken salad from Uber eats. It came in what must be a side salad container, which also included 2 dressings inside the container. The 10 bites of salad was good - but not worth $2 a bite.

We are big fans of Founding Farmers in DC, so we were thrilled to discover there is a Founding Farmers very close to our new home.

We stopped by the other day for brunch and we were not disappointed. Knowing from past experience, we had reserved tables for our party and were seated a few minutes after arriving at our designated time. The place is like the other location - loud, packed, and just as good :)

Our usual order of beignets did not disappoint!

This time we ordered the Skirt Steak and Enchilada and Shrimp Bucatini. Both dishes were excellent with the shrimp being the winner of our meal - the sauce was what set the dish apart.

As always, we had enough leftovers to make another meal for us.

Service here is good too that makes the dining experience that much better!

Super nice server, food was good. Went for lunch with a friend and she has some very specific food requirements. Server was very kind and quick to accommodate her needs. Really appreciate the kindness and positive response to her requests.

Excellent establishment. Wait time was good but we had a reservation. The place was packed on a weekday night so reservations are recommended. Service was flawless. Everyone appeared to enjoy their meals immensely, and I can personally recommend the mac and cheese with ham, peas, and apples. Very loud, so be prepared to raise your voice if you want to talk to your table mate.

We are from out of town and this is our third time eating here. It's has become our family go to place. Love the service and the food is great. The prices are very reasonable. You would be cheating yourself if you don't try it. Make reservations, you are going to need it.

It was my first time here and this place is really good! The atmosphere is awesome! It's got a really trendy design and interesting layout. The food is pretty good, but for brunch there are better options. Still, the menu is interesting. Grilled cheese and tomato soup was a 4/5 and the corn bread was delicious. It does get VERY busy so plan accordingly!

Brunch is great. The food is good, and prices are around what you'd expect. The wait times even if you have a reservation can be insane though. I've been packed into their small waiting area for over 45 min before

True Chef Salad $15 (4/5 NOMs).

True Chef Salad $15 (4/5 NOMs).
Its crazy world! Is this a salad or meat entree? Hard to tell since there is turkey, ham, prime rib. Pretty much half of the entire cabbage head with sauce and meat on top. Everything mixed together made for a delicies salad meat dish. Love the addition of french dressing and Devil Egg. Can't find many salads with devil egg in them. I guess normal egg is not enough, bring on the dark side! Warning, do not try to eat the whole thing. You will loose and only suffer. Make sure to try to eat half of it, I know it will be hard, even I could not stop until I felt sick. Just taste so good

Farmers Chips $9 (4/5 NOMs).
What the chip! Those are not your weak bag chips, but super chips! I think these chips will ruine you for any other chip. Large and thick and crispy, now thats the way to make your chips. Comes with three different fun dips, cheesy, honey mustard and some green stuff. Why just dip chips when you can also dip cheddar crisps. Entire chip made out of cheddar. Thats just crazy world out there! Great to share for a large group.

Oven-Roasted Cracked Black Pepper Wings $9 (5/5 NOMs).
WOW these wings were amazing! It was like a perfect mix of sauce, seasoning and grilled wings. Mhhhh I so want to try this again. A must try small plate appetizer. Great to share with friends or eat all by yourself. My mouth is watering just by looking at this picture.

Grilled Cheese and Clam Chowder Soup $10 (4/5 NOMs).
Mhhh its double the gooey goodness with Grilled Cheese and Clam Chowder. Grill cheese sandwich was extremely cheesy gooey with three cheese combo Gruyere, Cheddar, and Muenster. Only thing better then cheese is more cheese! Originally this order came with Tomato Soup, but they allow substitution with soup of the day. I'm happy, usually not a big fan of tomato soups.

Bacon Wrapped Dates $9 (5/5 NOMs).
Wrap me in bacon goodness, great way to start your lunch is with anything wrapped in bacon. These dates were amazing, You can really taste balsamic glaze and blue cheese with hint of sweetness. The only major issue with this order is that we ate it too fast!

Thanksgiving dinner included choice of corn bread or biscuits, soup or salad, iced tead or drip coffee, half dozen entrees and just as many desserts. Hosts and servers were pleasant as always. Service was a little slower than usual. We had prime rib, fried chicken and friend pork chops. All entrees came with 5 sides. Delicious and portions enough for two meals. Had leftovers for lunch the next day.

The food is honestly so good, however, they don't have a brunch buffet like the one in Tyson's Corner. Also, the server was a but loco. But other than that, the atmosphere is great and the food is spectacular. There are delicious options for all types of diets.

I have enjoyed this place for years. Had fallen off some but seems better now. Service was good. Food was good. I like their variety of foods but they do need to mix it up some. I will keep going. Brunch and breakfast are better than dinner.

Great meal. We shared several appetizers including bacon wrapped figs, biscuits, cornbread, and chips. I had the yummy waffles and chicken with the all white meat option, and the bananas foster milkshake for dessert. Every was delicious. Nice server.

Let me start by saying our waitress was amazing and absolutely non of this was her fault nor should her service be judged on the poor quality of the food and drinks. I typically avoid this place because it s never improved, is too loud to sit inside and just all around not good. I went here this weekend with a few friends and it was worse than I thought it would be. My girlfriend and I ordered two glasses of Duckhorn decoy sauvignon blanc. Not only was it NOT that kind of wine it was bad. It was clearly left unchecked and the wine was undrinkable. We told our waitress and she took it back to replace it. Sadly they brought two new glasses out of the same bad bottle. Our other friend ordered a cranberry vodka. They do make their cranberry in house so it would be a little more tart, however, it s one of the easiest drinks to make if not the easiest. Believe it or not it was made wrong. Our poor waitress was as sweet as can be but the bartender needs a refresher on mixology. They are supposed to check everyday to make sure wine that s gone bad is thrown out and apparently that s standard procedure there. This wasn t my first bad experience there. I would pick a different restaurant if you want good food and drinks. Service was great. Food and drinks was not even worth 2 stars.

Good food

I dream of their sweet cream Stuffed French Toast. They also have some of the best biscuits I've ever had. Buttery, thick crust, and soft as cotton candy inside. Their hot chocolate is so rich. Excellent service as well. I try to come here every time I visit MD. One of my favorite restaurants.

What a tragedy my breakfast was. Nonstop I'm sorries and we're brewing coffee and oh we ran out of creamers... Then my over medium eggs were sunnyside at best... The grits were not fully cooked either... Seriously nice and good servers though which is nice considering the host staff just stared at me and blinked when I walked in looking for my party... Mismanaged.

Love this place. The restaurant inside looks amazing . Afternoon and dinner they are very busy. Make sure make a reservation if you want a good spot. The restaurant inside have a great looking small bar. It s a very nice chill out spot, when you getting off work or you just want to enjoy drinks with your friends and family. The food and desserts are Awesome!!! The only thing you should think about it s the price. If you like food and dessert you should not worry about the price. Trust me, everything in the restaurant it s worth it. This is one of the restaurants I like to have a good meal with my Dad. Also it s my Dad s favorite place because he loves steak.

This place never disappoints. They were so accommodating and friendly. We had a large party for a special life event and their customer service was top notch. The food was even better. Can't wait till go back.

Very good food and efficient service. Quantity was sufficient: satiated without feeling too full. Restaurant was full for lunch on the Wednesday that we were there, making it too loud for easy conversation.

I went today with my girlfriends for lunch. At first, everything that could go wrong was (Our servers was extremely rude, refusing to do basic substitutions, and was charging us unnecessarily...) but the managers somehow found out this was going on and took an extra effort to make sure everything was sorted out. They exhibited kindness and ensured that we had a great time, regardless of our rocky start. While I had heard service here was not great, the extra initiative to make sure each customer has a great time really did lighten the experience. I will definitely be coming back here with my friends and family over and over again. The food was phenomenal.

If you have blue hair and drive a Prius this is the spot for you. Ordered biscuits and asked for gravy and got about a tablespoon worth of gravy. The cups are like 4 oz as well so I left thirstier than Bear Grills in the desert about to drink his own piss.
