very good food but, make sure to bring a thick wallet
very good food but, make sure to bring a thick wallet
Good food that makes you full but without feeling icky
I just called to try reserving a table. The person receiving phone call is f* RUDE, he just hang me up after my first sentence!
Service was cool... Food was ok... Nothing special... It wasn't bad...but I'm pretty much done with all Founding Farmers.. I think it's the menu...it just sucks...
Great food, I've been here 4 to 5 times now and it's consistently good. I rated this a 3 because the experience isn't always great, the noise level here can be excessive, to the point where you need to tell at the person next to you to talk. The wait staff are always nice and friendly but when the restaurant is full the staff tend to be too busy and can be hard to find when you want to order. Great place to eat good food but it's loud and I'm not confident they train their staff to deal with a busy night
Delicious food. Excellent service. Well adapted to Covid limitations. So many tasty options on the menu. All the staff was super friendly and cheerful. The drinks we awesome. The meals were great. Their Beignets were incredible with excelletn dipping sauces of chocolate, carmel and raspberriws. They make an excellent brunch appetizer or a well deserved dessert or both. We look forward to returning.
Though my grandma was unhappy at 96. I personally LOVED IT.Bethany my waitress did a great job. I would recommend this place heart beat. So good.
I placed an order to go with doordash delivering. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food I received. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with apples ham and peas which was very dry, I ordered the biscuits with honey butter and the biscuits were dry and hard and they sent no butter. I then ordered the Fig and prosciutto flatbread which was actually good as was the roasted vegetables I ordered. I will probably not order from them again
Decent food, good beer selection, high prices, very loud in there.
The food was delicious and the sevice was excellent. The atmosphere was laid back. The parking was free for the first three hours.
Terrible servive always overwhelmed and have had my check comped three times because of there own mistakes I will not come back!
Good food but very busy, which means your servers head is on a swivel and ya have to wait a bit for refills and things
Fantastic place for brunch, lunch, and dinner. We got a mix of the Crab Benedict as well as Chicken and Waffles and both were delicious.
Sitting at the bar was fantastic and both the bartenders were on point. Nice and strong Bloody Mary's and Pimm's Cups.
I recommend if going for brunch on the weekend to try and be there before 10 as it becomes a mad house!
Food decent but drinks and food is expensive, not worth the wait
My first time to any location. Excellent food and well thought out flavors. My husband is lactose intolerant, which limited us for dessert. We saved the calories! We'll definitely be back!
I respect the place, they know how not to screw up a chicken. That means a lot for me.
Eating in, my experience was phenomenal. Take out was very disappointing
Come for the food, stay for the exemplary service. There is nothing on the menu that is not excellent. Southern chicken and waffles was excellent, cedar plank salmon was still brilliant heated up 2 days later, and the trough of chocolate mousse with whisky caramel sauce was sheer indulgence.
Always busy...good comfort food and kid friendly..a little expensive but full bar. Farm to table.
Service wasn't very good, nice atmosphere though. Food was creative, but kinda bland.
Fresh, delicious food, one of my favorite restaurants near Bethesda....
Phenomenal locavore options at a reasonable price. They have an amazing cocktail menu, as well as a great wine selection, and all their dishes are seasonal.
it is a scratch kitchen. The fact that they make everything from the pasta to the biscuits to the specialty drinks made it very enticing. There was a 40-minute wait on Sunday for brunch but it was well worth it. I ordered a homemade orange juice and pineapple juice mix. Even though it came in a small glass I enjoyed every drop and savored it. There were so many delectable items on the menu that my husband and I ordered two meals each. Perhaps our eyes were bigger than our stomach but there were no regrets. I ordered the French toast that had rum or some type of spirit mix into the batter. Served With homemade syrup that melted in my mouth. I took macaroni and cheese to go mostly because I wanted to taste their homemade shells. Overall look and feel of the venue was five star. The service was great and my husband's Bloody Mary came with big piece of applewood bacon. my husband ordered eggs benedict and I took a picture of it because it looked like out of a magazine. Anyone first timers should try the beignet Donuts that are served with homemade jellies and caramel. Oh my gosh it melted in our mouths so we ordered 2. Overall excellent experience. Hats off to the chef!
this FF is really great, but always seems to dissappoint when comparing to its sister restaurant in DC. The DC FF set the benchmark really high. The last few times the MoCo FF didn't have what i wanted.
Best food on I-270! Make reservations in advance, though you can find arrear if you do find a place to sit. My favorite dish special order Angry Pasta and Fried Green tomatoes
Was going to give them 5 stars but the bathrooms were NASTY!
This is my 2nd time in this place and they never disappointment me, food is great, a little expensive but its worth it
Fried green tomatoes are delicious as well as all meatless options. Great place for vegetarians.
The shrimp and grits is good.
Serving size was made than I could eat.
Atmosphere is nice can get a little nosy . Nice bar to sit and have a drink .
Excellent and flavorful food, I love the character the spot has, and the employees were welcoming. Will definitely come back again.
The restaurant is completely over rated. The wait is long and the food is okay
Really like this place. Always have great food and service.
Let me tell you about this amazing place and their great customer service..my friend and I were here on Sunday for Brunch..the pancakes are delicious ! I ordered the bourbon French toast and ended up not liking them ..I was hesitant to tell our amazing waitress (Red) but I did and she immediately asked me if I wanted something else and also the manager came over to personally apologize..I was pleasantly surprised and happy ..I absolutely recommend this place
The best American food you can find in this area. Pretty sure it's farm-to-table. High quality ingredients, interesting and dynamic dishes, and always well made and delicious. Highly recommend their corn bread...it's to die for!
I'm told this place is usually very packed, we got there at opening time which is a bit late for some <845>. The food was very good but a bit pricey, a cup of Joe is 4$ while the cheapest menu item was 9$ with the average fair around 15$ a plate. The venue itself was pleasent and the music wasnt loud which makes this an ideal breakfast date place.
Great food, good service and good atmosphere. I was here for brunch.
Kind of surprising that a place this expensive that makes everything from scratch is not allergy friendly.
My son and I went here for brunch, everything was soo delicious..This place is always busy..Reservations are highly recommended. The atmosphere is cozy. My son got the Vanilla creme stuffed french toast w/ bananas foster..they were amazing..
Meh, I was not impressed. Like the concept of farm to table though. Maybe it was an off night. Might try again.
Quality of food you expect from a Founding Farmers and great service
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. A bit over priced in general, but one of the few places with the Impossible Burger. The pineapple mint seasonal soda was pretty good.
We have come here many times for both brunch and dinner and usually had a fairly great experience, but recently we came to celebrate a birthday over brunch. The service was terrible (waited over 30 mins just for a cup of coffee), the waiter brought a dirty mug then a dirty plate and was unapologetic when we alerted him. When the food finally arrived, it was the wrong order. The manager stepped in at this point and he was terrific- very nice and professional. He rushed over the correct order, but unfortunately the food was undercooked, probably because at this point they were hurrying to fix their mistake. They brought us free dessert at the end to smooth the situation, which was kind, but not enough to make us want to come back here. So many choices out there, why go somewhere where food and service are subpar?
For the moms out there: the women's bathroom did not have a changing table. When we asked a passing waiter about it, he shrugged and said, "there's one in the men's room". So if you need to change a diaper, you'll have to use the high, decorative bureau in the women's bathroom.
Certainly had good food. LOVED the farm bread as appetizers. DELICIOUS!
Appreciate the time that Amy, the guest communications manager took to resolve my issues.
Always looking forward to a Founding Farmers experience and delicious food.
Great food, but the friendly staff is what really what stands out. I ordered the impossible meatloaf and received small burnt heal that should never left the kitchen. They happily replaced it with a normal slice while I finished my sides and surprised me with a Birthday desert later.
I ordered a hamburger, that looked really good... but it wasn't so great. It felt like the ingredients were just put on top of another but the burger didn't come together, I don't know its hard to describe, perhaps it was just dry. Didn't eat it :( Although service was nice, friendly host, friendly waitress :) Probably won't give it another try.
The location is very nice, the food is very good, my family all enjoyed their meal, and the desserts were also good.
Excellent service from Fatima. Bloody Mary was very tasty. Food great. Beautiful interior...,
Was there for breakfast on a Friday. Very busy. Beautiful decor, attentive servers and good food. A little pricey, but hay, it is a nice place.
The food was fantastic, the service was exceptional. The french toast was not just the best in the DC area, it is the best I ever had. The menu items are Americana, they are done with a gourmet flair. There has been much said about this place by others, there is a reason why there are raves, it is really that good.
The southern fried chicken that they are supposedly famous for was over battered and not even hot. For the price you barely get any chicken- definitely better off going to Popeye's. The best thing was the shrimp gumbo which was probably the best bang for your buck. The second best thing was the appetizer of brie, apples and caramelized onions but for the price you can easily make this at home. The chicken fried steak was okay, albeit a little salty.
Had breakfast there which turned into lunch bec of slow service
It was avarage at best. We ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. It was nice spicy just overly salty with lots of pepper. The syrup tastes sugar free and the greens were bland. We did have mini burger that was tasty but nothing to write home about. Not sure what the hype is about but someone is lying...Will not be returning
Fantastic Prime Rib. Very well prepared. Their carrots are ridiculously good. A friend tried their fresh catch, a Corvina, which was amazing as well. Looking forward to going back soon.
One of our favorite restaurants in Montgomery county. Awesome brunch. Classic comfort food done right.
Nothing overly special. Food is Nouveau American cuisine. It's tasty, but perhaps a little over priced for the dishes - they're nothing spectacular. Could use more actual seasonings and less salt. The steak I had was pretty salty.
This lunch experience today was not good. It took more about ten minutes to bring over two Rickey soft drinks. My wife and I were told mango was available then another staff person said it wasn't available and I could order passionfruit, guava, or orange. The fried green tomatoes were not as good as they normally are and our six mini burgers had to be remade as we requested no sauce. Normally the food is good but today was not one of those days. For $50.00 at lunch I wish it had been a better experience with the food.
Holy smokes. Stopped here because we say there was almost 2000 Google revieews and now I see why. The service was awesome, get a reservation. The food was amazing. Very fast, try the crab dip and mousse for two!
Went here for brunch earlier..service was really good and they have a great menu..i was excited to try the beignets which were quite tasty and come with the different sauces. I got the basic breakfast of two eggs with bacon..fruit and ciabatta. It was quite basic so maybe ill go back and try something more savory.
Good food. If you order out make sure you ask for forks and knives. They wont send them unless you ask.
Worth every penny! the wait is a bit but it's from scratch so who can complain... me that's who me lol great place overall
I enjoyed the atmosphere. The food choices looked really good, but a bit expensive. Our server was awesome and attentive. I would go again. I didn't realize the sell beignets. I will order them my next visit.
The menu had so many fabulous offerings. I made my selections in advance from the online menu and it was all good. Portions are generous. Food was not seasoned to my liking but that is because I prefer spicy over bland.
I would like to go back somtime in the future to give some other dishes a try.
Just average. Service was good. Beignets were great. Rest of the food was typical breakfast without a lot of special flavors.
Warmly greeted, service was quick and friendly. Great menu options.
I visited this location for my birthday and it was a great experience. I sat at the bar with a friend. The bartender, Mario, was so awesome! He was super friendly and made the best drinks. Its nothing like having the right bartender to enhance your dining experience. The food was delicious. Best crab dip ive ever had. My only qualm was a drunk patron. She was really annoying and ruined what would have been the perfect birthday experience. I honestly wish someone would have put her out.
Food was very good and service was good also. Had the ahi tuna poke, very fresh and a good serving. First time here
The waiter was very attentive, we never had empty cups/glasses. The food is delicious as always. I had beet and goat cheese hash with poached eggs. Highly recommend it!
Overpriced and too much hyper. How can you NOT have an omelet on your menu? You are a brunch place. Had chicken and waffles, it was great food. But not worth the hype.
