Food is always fresh and haven't had a bad service yet. The wait time is long so I definitely suggest making reservations if you can.

Food, service and price were all very good! Looking forward to next time :)
Love this place! Been here a fair amount of times. Always make sure to make a reservation because it s that good. Prices are great for what you get.
Some items that stood out:
Their brunch is amazing. Loved their fried chicken - both the sandwich and platter. The Benedict s are good but I d get the chicken every time.Their orange juice is fresh squeezed and it is amazing.
For lunch and dinner: Loved their shrimp and grits. Also their corn bread is on point. Loved the olives wrapped in bacon.
Founding Farmers went through it s phase of being over hyped, but now slowly turning into an over priced Ruby Tuesdays. I ordered their market price fish of the day and received an over cooked piece of rubber. It seems that if you re in the mood for butter and more butter, this may be your one stop for that fixing. My family ordered the chicken and waffles, chicken breasts being extremely dry, over cooked aged steak, seafood platter, and a lobster shrimp risotto which I m still wondering where the lobster was. Overall the food is mediocre and def overpriced for what you receive. The best part about this place is the extremely friendly and kind waitstaff.
Great place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. This is my third time. The food is fresh. The place is clean and organized. You might have to wait to be seat it for up to 30 minutes if you come Without a reservation. Favorite so far prosciutto with figs and as a entry and egg white avocado toast. Today our server was a Erika she did a great job. Congrats to the manager and owner of this place. My only complaint: parking :-).
Their food is awesome. I love the mini burgers. I have eaten many things on their menu and it's all good.
Very creative menu, food is very very good, not to pricey with good service and easy parking.
Walked in with two rambunctious nephews and the staff was cool and courteous. Food was fantastic and the cocktails thoughtful and creative.
I'm a fan of this Founding Farmers. The parking situation can be a little clustered, and reservations seem to help on weekends. I've only been for brunch. They have great options for bloody mary lovers. I've always enjoyed my food, and the servers are incredibly accommodating.
Great family restaurant. Wide selection, good value.
Good food and service. Call ahead if more than two people, unless you want to wait a while. Menu is great, and very fast service.
Taylor was a great waiter. Chicken scrippy n bloody mary was spicy jus how I like it..
Went for a mother's Day brunch. The staff were extremely efficient and we got our food swiftly. Everything was delicious and made exactly to order(they were very flexible with special requests!).
Good atmosphere, the service could be a little faster.
Good food and service. Bit of a wait for brunch, but we didn't have reservations so can only blame ourselves. Dessert beignets are the bomb!
The homemade chips were disgustingly bitter. The corn bread was really good though. Try for yourself-I thought it was OK.
My first time visiting here and it was a great experience. The drinks/food/service was exceptional! Our waiter took his time with our group of 6 answering all of our questions. Was very honest about suggestions. The atmosphere was very cool - laid back and open. I cannot wait to visit again!
Why there should be only one MoCo s Founding Farmers! I went with a group of 20 and everybody loved their food which means whatever you choose is going to taste perfection!
Delicious blueberry pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Bellini wasn't great.
UGH. WORST BREAKFAST I'VE HAD IN YEARS. LOOKS GOOD TASTED DISGUSTING. Waste of money. The sausages tasted like liver. The bacon was limp and gross. The beignets tasted like scrambled eggs fried in 5 tons of grease. I was sick for hours after leaving.
Had a great breakfast. Wonderful staff. Decent prices
Nice restaurant. They give good service and the food is consistent, it's also in a nice area.
Fantastic place!!! Excellent food and service. The Yankee Potroast was really good.
Nice place, good seasonal menu. Salad i had was yummy
LOVE the food. Their brie, apple, and onion jam start is awesome. If you are looking for something a little bit different with something for everyone then look no further.
Atmosphere: Noisy.
Service: Ok, forgot an order.
Food: Biscuits and collard greens were very good. Fried chicken was dry/overcooked, steak was overcooked, but pasta was ok.
Opinion: Wouldn't go again. Too expensive for the quality.
I mean talk about something amazing. I have been here quite a few times and have never left disappointed. Really great atmosphere, outstanding drinks (many with alcohol made locally), and hands down some of the best meals in the area.
If you ever need a hearty meal, a great breakfast, or just a cocktail, you really can t go wrong here.
Great vegetarian options, amazing drinks. My favorite restaurant in the area!
I go to this restaurant often. The food was good as usual today. But the service was subpar.
Unfortunately I'm a person that always get the same meal if I enjoyed it from the start. Yet with saying that I not only rate the food and service of this particular location of Founding Farmers with 5 stars, but the same in for other locations. What I'm saying is the establishment is "all of that" for me. I usually get the grits (which has changed for the worse but I still like them), the thick bacon with glaze (if you're a thick bacon lover, you'll need more than two slices), scrambled eggs and cheese, and the main reason I return (drum roll pls)...banana Forster cream stuffed french toast. The best thing about this french toast is it comes in sticks (three huge sticks). With all the other food ordered, you'll only eat one stick. Take the other two home so you can have one for dessert after dinner with some vanilla bean ice cream; then the next morning the last stick with some coffee or tea. To end this...don't sleep "MoCo's Founding Farmers !
SO DELICIOUS! Long wait even with a reservation but worth it!
We were there to celebrate a birthday. Our waiter was exceptionally attentive to our table. The food was pretty good. I personally didn't try everything on the menu so I can't comment on the overall food quality, but most of the people at our table enjoyed their food. Many options to choose from. The prices are decent. The floor plan is an open one which made you feel like a part of the whole restaurant (like one big family), but sadly that made it hard for us to hear each other at our table. I would recommend this place and I will probably visit again.
had the beignets, chicken and waffles and tried the banana stuffed french toast. everything was delicious. the chicken was so well seasoned that I didn't need the gravy that they gave on the side. it was that awesome. I've had better beignets, but they were pretty good. and the french toast was so sweet and rich that I'm not sure I could have eaten the entire plate, but I did enjoy the bite that I stole from my friend!
Love Founding Farmers! The food is so fresh and consistently good every time I have been there. The Yankee pot roast, garlic black pepper wings, and the Uncle Buck's Beignets are sooooo good!!! My brother loved the chicken and waffles with the mac & cheese too. You will not be disappointed!
Delicious food, but make reservation because it can get packed
I like Founding Farmers, but the DC location seems to have much better food for some reason.
For Uber Eats driver during the weeks days is very bad time for us. You can waste at least 25 min waiting and they always said 5 more minutes. The must be serious and responsable, because we are working too. This is not the first time that it happened to me.
Food was OK. Over priced drinks that are mostly ice
Great Ambience however need to have an happy hour. Had a Burger which was Delicious - hot and fresh! Most likely will be back at there first happy hour!!
You cant get better than delicious, environmentally friendly food served by staff who actually seem to enjoy their job.
Im not a big fried chicken person, but theirs is amazing! And the bartender deserves a raise.
We made reservations online the day before for a Saturday lunch around 1pm. The place was crowded but managed well. If you find no parking outside just head under to the garage below where there is plenty and they will validate for you at the front desk when you leave. As for the lunch, our server Mike was efficient and very nice and made the visit pleasant. Even gave us some great recommendations for lunch. We had shrimp and grits (grits seemed more like risotto but still tasted great), pot roast dish, southern fried chicken meal, lemon scallops meal and the flat-bread with prosciutto & dates although the bread seemed more like thick Italian. We also ordered a few of those hand made sodas which were tasty and, of course, their benets pastries which were light and sweet. All in all, a great experience. Our reservation was at 1pm on Saturday and we noticed it started to clear out while we were there so if you had a large group later in the day might work too. I highly suggest reservations though....the place was packed. The ambiance is nice albeit a little on the loud side but not overly so. Probably could be loud on dinner nights...still....great option for food. We had no problems with anything--service, food and experience all top notch during our visit. Will definitely return...Great Job!!
Quite busy good ok service acceptable value to high no bread /oil for appetizer not enough parking could be better.
Great atmosphere at the founding farmers. The host and hostesses are very quick to attend to you. They also serve really sumptuous pork ribs.My only observation is that the TVs at the bar are super tiny and difficult to view. I recommend larger screens.
The servers are nice but the food is only ok and for the price it should be great and portion sizes have shrunk over the past few months. So I won't be back anytime soon.
We go here a few times a year and the service is always great. We have yet to find a dish we don't like and the drinks are always fantastic. I would highly recommend eating here.
Nice restaurant. Good food. Staff people are very polite. We dined here for Thanksgiving 2015.
The atmosphere and vibe here is great. The food can be a little bland, but that's easily remedied.
Great experience! I love the atmosphere and the food! Will be coming back for sure!
I loved the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The roasted sprouts were awesome! Our server was decent, but forgot about our table after serving the main course. He left plates of unfinished food at the table and then returned to collect our dessert orders, returned with dessert and still left the unfinished dinner plates on the table.
Food was amazing, ingredients were so fresh. I got the salmon Benedict. It was so good. Get the biscuits to share for the table, the honey butter they come with was great. And get the beignet's as well, but ask for extra dipping sauce! Yum!
We made a reservation but made us wait for 30 minutes and then we just gave up because they said it would be another 5-10 minutes. It is totally unreasonable to make someone wait that long if they make a reservation. Don't bother. I've eaten at other Founding Farmers and the food was good. Go to another location.
Food is great, atmosphere needs help, service is hit or miss.
Nice place for brunch, great food, interesting menu, good service, and yes, pricing matches quality.
Excellent food and service. Loved the unique soda too! Wonderful deserts.
The service, atmosphere and food are equally enjoyable at this restaurant. Been here a few times, the quality and quantity of the food is satisfying. A great restaurant to try a variety of great American recipes created with fresh ingredients.
The food is delicious. The atmosphere is amazing. The drinks are outrageously priced but also very tasty.
Good service and food. Great spot for a late lunch. Very good for vehetarions...
Food tasted phenomenal. Their cornbread is fantastic as well as their mac and cheese. I am only taking a star off because I chose to spend the extra six bucks to add chicken tenders to the mac and cheese and didn't feel it was worth it. They add three tenders but they're all very small, still smaller than a normal tender if you put them all together.
I made reservations for 8 on NYE and everything was awesome! The food great the portion size was filling and everyone was satisfied. Yes I would go back. One thing I did notice when I left there I didnt have tummy ache and that's a plus!
Service was not so great. Food was just ok. A little overpriced I think.
Simple dish like fish and chips, artfully prep5arwd.
Restaurant packed and with good reason: service was excellent and food delicious. Drinks, appetizer, entrees and tip came to $100. Worth it.
The other reviews speak for themselves. Founding Farmers is DA BOMB!!!
I am convinced that this place was overly rated. Server probably was new but one of 8 orders did not come out until the rest of us were near finishing food. Dish we were waiting was same as the one of already served so it was obviously server's mistake.Server was keep saying it would be coming any time without any sincere expression of apology. When dish finally served, but it was undercooked...it was pasta with white uncooked core! We were patientt until then and complained to manager. One dish was not charged but restaurant server/manager/owner owes us apology not reluctantly waived charge of extremely delayed and undercooked dish.
I really want to give this restaurant 5 stars but having been there 3 times now I'm just a little too hesitant to give that fifth star. Don't get me wrong, the menu selection is expansive, the drinks menu is quite impressive, and the service is generally upbeat and attentive. The food, however, has always left me lacking. I've tried the spatchcock chicken, the pot roast, and the chicken pot pie and all three of them just seemed slightly off. In the latter two cases, the vegetables for the pot roast and the chicken pot pie didn't seem to be fully cooked which is not what you would expect from a roast or pot pie situation.
Had I had good food experiences I would absolutely have given this place all five stars. Should I go again, and it's likely that I will because this is a place my friends like quite a bit, I will try yet another food and see if it can redeem itself up to that fifth star.
I personally LOVE the food here. I took the residents of Brookdale Potomac for a lunch outing and it was an amazing experience. We sat at a great table the server that assisted us was busy but she managed well. She was patient with our residents, the food presentation was great as always. I can't wait to take them back.
Every year my family has the tradition of going to the Founding Farmers in DC on Christmas day. This year we switched it up and went to the one in Montgomery Cty. The food tastes very different(not as good as DC), the service was mediocre (given it was Christmas and maybe short staffed). We had to keep asking for things that should have be common sense to have i.e. napkins, not enough forks. And had to repeatedly ask for sauce, butter, drinks.
Always has great food and fun atmosphere. Try the pot roast and binets.
