Forget about Harrods or Selfridges if you want to go shopping in a luxury department store - F&M has been the place to be for more than 300 years. Fantastic gents' floor, great choices of champagnes, hampers, perfumes or stationary - and the most marvellous Scottish eggs in town. It's a 'Jour fixe'!

Mainly tea, biscuits and chocolate, we have tableware, perfumes and other luxury items. Not only the exterior but also the interior is decorated in various ways and you can enjoy it, so we recommend that you enter the store without shopping. The Ground floor is crowded with people, but the other floors are likely to be relatively empty. You can also eat and drink.
There are multiple floors and there is also a lift. You can pay on each floor, but if you want to wrap it, you can pay on the 3rd floor.

The Fortnum & Mason Food Hall is constantly changing with the season., There is always a large chocolate section with chocolates made for Fortnum and Mason created by some of the best chocolatiers in the UK like Demarquette, Gorvet & Stone, and others in the chocolate counter.

In the chocolate bar section, not only do they have a massive range of own brand with every imaginable origin and percentage, they also carry excellent brands like Q chocolate, Duffy's Red Star chocolate and Valrhona.

On top of these is a sweets counter where you can select from a massive range of sweets, a section of baked goods and tons of pre-packaged cookies, jams, honey, et al.

There is everything you could possibly imagine here - absolutely perfect for gift hunting and rare chocolate investigation.

During the holidays it's electric here, but so very busy that you might think twice about standing in lines everywhere. Still, it's an institution and the range of sweet-special-somethings is formidable. The interior has a style all its own.

I love Fortnum and Mason. I only pop in 2 or 3 times a year. However it has such a classy feel and the goods on sale are lovely. On this occasion, for the first time I went to the parlour cafe on the first floor.
It was good but not exceptional. The service was excellent, the staff polite, efficient and helpful.
The menu choice was good but like so many other places and quite traditional. The tea and food was good quality and tasty.
The prices were a little higher than other similar style cafes.
All in all I left feeling that I'd had a decent afternoon tea and cake but not exceptional.

Everything you would want the Queen's grocers to be. Opulent and elegant. It's never less than manically busy which can be a little daunting. The service from every member of staff is always incredible, we are always treated like royalty More

Was here for high tea in the Jubilee Tea salon. Enjoyed every aspect of our visit: the tranquil light blue decor, wonderful service, and of course the high tea! We loved the fact that there was a "savoury" tea option, which made it more of a lunch. There is even a vegetarian offering. All in all, our experience was top notch!

Tip: You can ask for more sandwiches.

For me it is one of the reference stores in London. Carrying anything bought here is making a good gift, with class and results. They are specialists in teas (they are the official suppliers of the British royal house), cookies, jams ... and they have a wide range of them.
They also have other sections such as perfumery, men, gifts ... and they have 1 restaurant and a tea room. Their snacks are typical here, although the price is somewhat prohibitive (+ 40 / person)

Amazing traditional British shop. The selection of teas is huge and top quality. It's an amazing experience to wander around the 4 floors. I can't understand why they are not famous abroad. Every time I name Fortnum & Mason, no one knows them. It's a mandatory visit every time I come to London

The oldest department store in the world Fortnum's is one of the most beautiful and quintessentially English shops. Tourists always concentrate on the foodhalls but explore the other floors for womens and men's departments as well as homewares.

A brilliant shop with the highest standards, butler like service and food that even a connoisseur would appreciate.
It is an experience for those that never tried anything like this before and for those that come everyday it is a great place to shop around for all kind of groceries.
Not to forget but there are multiple stories that the shop has which provide great options for apparel if the style suits you.

If you can t live without tea, you have to have to have to try their tea. With the long history, you can tell that the company really have given some thoughts on their teas.
We booked an appointment for their afternoon tea on a Thursday around 3.30pm, it was busier than I thought, but still manageable. It is given that the F&M s afternoon tea is pricy. Nevertheless, you do get what you paid for. Great service! The person who helped us went above and beyond. The teas she recommended was amazing!

Afternoon Tea - If you pay a premium price you would expect a premium level of service, unfortunately this wasn't the case. When we were seated no one initially explained what we could order (for example we could order only salmon or ham sandwich) we had to ask before anything was fully explained. Plus we had to ask multiple times for fresh tea and sandwiches then waited for over 10 mins before it was served. I understand it can be a little more difficult to serve a party of over 6 people but it doesn't excuse the level of service shown today, which can only be described as poor. Today we paid for the "experience" and it alone, which didn't justify the cost. The food was average at best, leaving a sour taste to the whole "experience". Will not be returning.

Can't go wrong with some true English heritage. I popped in during the week before easter and it was full of the cute you would expect. The staff were amazing and outdid themselves as I was just buying a anniversary gift.

It is one of the most beautiful and luxurious shops in London.
It is located on the bright Piccadilly Street, a few steps from Piccadilly Circus, the most famous and popular square in the City, the rich Regent Street, the entrance to St. James Park and the well-known Trafalgar Square.
The complex is divided into four floors, each of which exhibits different products. Here you will find gastronomic excellence, with an infinite variety of tea, the best perfumery, high fashion articles and leather goods for men and women and an amazing display of household products. The windows are a delight. A trip is a must to enjoy your eyes!

London icon in the field of food. Super historic and almost "sacred" shop for its impeccably British style and the presentation of the goods. You can find everything from chocolates of all types to all types of tea, various preserves. It is multi-storey and crowded. For example, they also sell beautiful picnic sets. On the top floor they also put clothing on sale at decidedly high but always high prices.

Simply a very British must!

The service is awful. The girl at the till around 6pm makes you feel like a stupid tourist who has is too idiotic to buy here. No curtesy no manner no thank you no good bye. Just a blank indifferent face that is not something to be portrayed by the this brand. Will not buy from here ever again. It makes me feel I am not a valued customer

F&M please put your money where your marketing is, and back it up with actual ethically sound practices and products. There are plenty of other products you could be selling that do not require the cost of cruelty. The 'creation' of foie gras is through antiquated, incredibly cruel and brutal practices which have no place in a civilised society, let alone a store that builds it's reputation upon a better standard of life. This better standard of life should be for ALL living beings, especially those who give up their entire lives to be a product!
