I love Fortnum and Mason. I only pop in 2 or 3 times a year. However it has such a classy feel and the goods on sale are lovely. On this occasion, for the first time I went to the parlour cafe on the first floor.
It was good but not exceptional. The service was excellent, the staff polite, efficient and helpful.
The menu choice was good but like so many other places and quite traditional. The tea and food was good quality and tasty.
The prices were a little higher than other similar style cafes.
All in all I left feeling that I'd had a decent afternoon tea and cake but not exceptional.
