Very clean and pleasant atmosphere. The conference room we were in was very long and the acoustics were poor. By lunch the AV people brought the correct equipment to be heard throughout the whole room. Would have expected this to just be done before the event since in sure we were not the first group to complain of this. The staff at the Starbucks /bar were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was easy to find, but the entrance kind of sneaks up on you if you're not on the lookout for it and the sign. I was there for a professional event. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely set up.

Typical small city Marriott... fairly dated and worn rooms, with a newly updated lobby. The concierge lounge is very small and too tight for the size of the hotel with a very small offering compared to other hotels in this same category...

Went to the Merritt for a work function using one of the convention rooms. We had the food catered by the hotel and it was great. The staff was very professional and I felt like I was in a high class establishment.

Rooms were smaller than advertised (expected for any hotel) but they were kind of run down in design and fixtures. Now this could be travelocitys fault, but I signed up for late checkout for 1:30 and housekeeping knocked twice at 11:00 and 12:00 even after i told them through the door. Overall, it wasn't terrible but it could've been a better experience.

Staying at this hotel was a huge mistake. They quoted me a "discounted" rate and then tacked on hidden processing fees and phone calls that they deemed long distance. Colorado Springs is not what I would consider long distance. And how two short phone calls added up to almost $70 dollars is beyond me. There are plenty of other hotels near by-- save yourself some trouble and go to one of those.

Normally I don't leave reviews and I rarely stay at hotels, I never feel comfortable being away from home and staying in hotels. But the one night I spent at the Marriott was a wonderful experience. Thanks to the courteous and attentive staff member Zach, this was the best hotel stay I've ever had, I felt very welcome and comfortable. Zach was exemplary, always went above and beyond any request I had, making my experience feel unique and one of the most enjoyable stays that I have ever had. Next time I'm looking for a hotel I'm going to THIS location and asking for him by name!

I would like to extend a warm thank you to the wonderful staff and Zach personally at Marriott in Fort Collins!

Dated large hotel, food and beverage choices average, room really in need of refurbishment - my room had multiple carpet stains. Missed maid service one day of my stay and the WiFi speed was truly awful.

I m not sure why this place has the Marriott name on it. If you re a regular Marriott traveler stay at the nearby Courtyard or Springhill for a better experience. Avoid this location. Moldy/mildew smell in room. Understaffed with people who do not really care. Hands down the worst Marriott stay I have had anywhere in the world. The main issue was the staff and management. Many unhappy guests in the lobby all chatting about how bad it was.

Stopped into fort Collins for a friend's wedding and decided to stay at the Marriott. We usually try to find an Airbnb around the area however we thought we'd give the hotel a try some it was rated well. We arrived later in the day and the hotel concierge was very accommodating. They checked is in and handed us or keys promptly with no problem at all. It ended up being way better than an air bnb as they have tons of parking, clean rooms and a pool as well. We will definitely be staying here for future visits to fort Collins!

Update: My picture I posted of the poop smeared on the wall of my first room has been removed by the hotel, I presume. Just know that it was disgusting and the only remedy the hotel offered was a "free night certificate" for their hotel only. As if I would ever stay here again. Terrible management.

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip and will never stay again. The rooms I encountered were incredibly unsanitary, and the housekeeping staff here should be investigated. My first room had fecal matter smeared on the wall near the bathroom. The second room had a yellow liquid sprayed on the wall in the sink/closet area. The door to the closet was also broken, and I could not access it at all. By this point, it was after 11pm and I opted to just stay in the second room and avoid the urine wall. However, I felt filthy in this hotel even after showering twice. To top it all off, one of their elevators is down (and has been for months), so using the elevator took much longer than it should have. Especially at 8am. It s really an embarrassment to the Marriott brand name for this hotel to carry that name.

We stayed in one of the executive suites, which was a living room and a large bedroom. The bathroom was nothing special - one sink and tub/shower combo. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Carpet could use cleaning but otherwise it was fine. Just what you would expect for a Marriott. Nice room with decent price. Pool and hot tub were also nice and they aren't afraid to have the hot tub be hot. Breakfast buffet (included with our room as concierge lounge was closed for the weekend) was nothing fancy but did have an omelet station.

I work at Colorado State University and we hosted a conference with 25 people at the Fort Collins Marriott. The service we received was exceptional from Michelle Parker, their Event Manager. Michelle made sure that every last detail was arranged to our liking. She was very well organized and patient as we determined the details of our conference.

Their food is fabulous too. We ordered their Southwest Buffet and our guests commented on how delicious it was. Everything was made in-house, including their yummy salsa. I would definitely host an event here again. They have just completed renovating their entire facility, including their pool, gym, and the rooms with fresh modern palette and furniture.

Pretty nice the lobby area and rooms we renovated about 10 years ago but still look very good but overall the hotel does show its age at times. Still very friendly staff and very nice the pool is pretty cool with an indoor and outdoor area

Hotel and room were wonderful. My only complaint is that the pool closes at 10pm. After a long day relaxing in the beautiful area inside or out later in the evening would be nice. Check in took longer than expected. The staff was pleasant but very serious abiut the pool closing.

Deducted a star because there are no microwaves in the rooms. seems small and they do have one in the lobby but it seemed strange to me. otherwise it very clean, everyone was extremely friendly, it has a Starbucks and a restaurant and is walking distance from the mall, Sierra trading post and our favorite TRADER JOE'S! the indoor outdoor pool was really awesome too!

Staff went out of their way to improve you experience there.

People have to come to this hotel from other ones because of services offered here (like pick up station for a shuttle to the airport).

Expensive but nice. Room service was outrageously expensive and couldn't communicate well. The hotel charged the amount to my card when checking in but then not before checking out, then charged the actual amount late so has messed up the balance on my card currently. Rest if the experience was good. Had a starbucks in the hotel and it was quiet there.. No sleeping issues whatsoever.

Not quite the hotel you'd be expecting especially under Marriott standards. Witnessed a guest get discriminated by a manager by front desk. Poor girl was told to leave, is this how managers treat other human beings? I can say this hotel is very average, I've stood here about a week. My daughter was feeling ill and had an accident in our room we were in. Two very helpful people showed up, 1 housekeeper or lobby aid night guy and 1 engineer to clean my room. This hotel needs people like them, otherwise I would have given this 5 stars.

I have stayed here a few times now. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Only negative thing to say is that one of the elevators has been down for over two weeks now, making for long wait times. Happy otherwise.

Always a great place for out-of-town guests. Its a bit pricey, but worth the comfort. A large portion of the guests are parents or relatives visiting students from CSU, which is very nearby this hotel in downtown Fort Collins.

I was here due to my kid's event at CSU. A reasonable distance to CSU, and very convenient to get access to different stores around.
The front desk is nice. Although something happened unexpected, but they ended up address the issue quickly, and nicely. Nothing to complain about this. Will highly recommend this.

Was there a few months ago and have thought about ...

Was there a few months ago and have thought about writing this for a while. I used to think of this as a really nice hotel, but my recent experience warrants sharing. My wife and I had pre-booked a garden level courtyard King suite for our "baby moon" the week before she was going go give birth to our second son. We were thrilled to stay somewhere nice and be pampered a bit. When we got there, we were given our room key and I was surprised to be sent to a 2 double bed handicapped room facing the parking lot of another business. We weren't able to use the tub because there was none, the window was obstructed and the curtains opened to reveal just wall on 1/2. When I called the desk they said that even though we paid extra weeks in advance for the nice room, they gave it away to someone else and there were no other options. Okay... So what can they do to fix it? Nothing they say. Go to the website and ask for a refund... Okay. So we asked why they gave our room away... They said that "no matter what room you think you are getting, we don't guarantee it'll be available even if you prepay." Janky. Ive never experienced this so obviously it was a CYA situation and someone messed up. So finally the manager offered to comp our room service bill in recognition of this. That was super nice and I appreciate it a LOT. It is the reason I'm not giving a 1 star rating. So we just push our beds together, order dinner and made the best of it... Until it was time to swim. When we went to the pool there were a bunch of rowdy people listening to loud music on a boombox they brought in, garbage from snacks (bags of Takis) all over, and empty glass beer bottles scattered about. Loud men obviously drunk and, although I don't judge someone else's taste in music, it was super loud. I was surprised that this was allowed at such a nice hotel... Id expect this from a $50/night highway motel but not the Marriott we love. In the morning we ate at the breakfast in-house and literally every table was covered in other people's leftovers. We cringed and made the best of a table covered in grease and crumbs, wiped it with a napkin, and moved the old juice glasses ourselves... Pretty gross but we wanted our included breakfast... Nobody ever came to clean it up and the old guy serving didnt seem to care. He did wipe our table after I asked him to. I still like this hotel and want to go back, but something was seriously wrong at the management level for it to go from being our favorite classy place to staycation to being a dirty place where they don't guarantee your room despite a fully prepaid reservation. We go to the Embassy Suites and avoid this place now. What happened to you, Marriott?
