I could not have been more pleased with the service I received at Forbes Motors. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was upfront and I appreciate the time they took with me through the whole process. I will definitely be referring them to everyone I know. Can't beat the selection!

I was only planning on buying a Subaru from a Subaru dealer but saw an ad for what I wanted at Forbes for a great price and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. Very happy I came by. Mitch Dunn took my appointment for a test drive on short notice. I never felt rushed, he was friendly and answered all my questions. Bought the car and everything was looking great for when I came and picked it up. Would definitely buy from Forbes again.

Terrible customer service and sales reps. Picked u...

Terrible customer service and sales reps. Picked up my vehicle and they couldn t install the front plate as the bracket was damaged... was told that we had to replace the bracket and install the plate on our own. as their service center can t do it?!? The car should have been ready to go upon pick up. Additionally they gave me a key fob that didn t work as the battery was dead and again was told they don t have the battery on hand to replace it for us and we would have to buy it on our own. So I buy a $25,000 vehicle and now need to purchase a new license plate bracket and battery for my key fob?!? Complete BS and lack of customer service. Additionally, Niko the sales person told us the vehicle was accident free and only had one previous owner. Luckily we saw the car facts report prior to and saw that the information provided was completely different than what the salesperson disclosed. The vehicle had 4 owners and 3 reported accidents. Lastly they agreed to take $1500 off the price of the car and when they did the paperwork only put $1400 off... we caught before signing and had them adjust the numbers but wanted to say BUYERS BEWARE. We were supposed to get 3 free oil changes and tire warranty but was told we no longer get this because we negotiated the price on the vehicle a complete bait and switch tactic to get you into the dealership as everyone negotiated the ticket price of a vehicle when car shopping.

My advice... Be sure to read and check everything thoroughly before signing anything as they will try to sneak things in. Not trustworthy at all and I will never return to purchas a vehicle from them again.

We knew exactly which car we and package we wanted (2016 Cruze Premier) and intended visit 2-3 GM dealers to get the best price. Now I don't know if the sales look down on this kind of behavior in general but some dealers do provide better rates and I'm only doing what I can to get the best price for myself. So yes, I'm not the most efficient person to sell to, but in my opinion there is nothing wrong with shopping around

When we walked into the dealer I didn't want to beat around the bush and simply expressed my intention: "I know exactly what I want, I'm only looking at offers, here is what I have so far". Now from this point on I'll be quoting the sales personnel that came to greet us. Sales person: "So you are just looking for someone to drop the pants.", initially I thought this is a playful person and just played along. Later when I presented my previous dealer's offer and the sales person insisted that it is not possible followed by saying, and I quote: "You are just running around wasting gas and everyone's time for maybe a hundred dollars difference, I hate people like you".

At this point my wife and I apologized for wasting his time and went on our way. I personally frequently deal with customers to on my line of work and I understand there are pesky people out there, and I am in no way excluding myself as possibly being someone like that in others eyes. I'm not entitled enough to think that everyone should value my business, However, I also don't think this degree of unprofessionalism is warranted. Regardless, Cruze currently is a great car and would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I recently purchased a 2014 Chevy Silverado from Forbes. We were very pleased with the sales service provided to us by Doug Moser. He answered all of our questions and took the time to find us the right vehicle based on our needs and within our budget. Doug listened to us and scheduled time to meet with us early in the day so that it worked with our schedule. The overall experience of purchasing a vehicle at Forbes went smoothly, everyone is very professional and we are very pleased with our vehicle from Forbes.

Since our purchase we have received excellent service when taking it in to the dealership. Our customer service representative, Dave provided us with explanations of what needed to be done and also made sure we didn't have to wait long for the service. He scheduled us a shuttle or rental car so that we wouldn't have to wait when servicing our vehicle.

I came to the service department at Forbes for a second opinion regarding repairs to my 13 year-old vehicle. The service manager Chris, and his team, were fantastic! They went out of their way to accommodate me, and they explained exactly what was going on with my vehicle. They did not pressure me to spend money on unnecessary repairs, and they ended up saving me over $1000. Thank you!!

Went to Forbes to see about buying a new vehicle. Was a serious customer. A salesman met us and introduced himself as Manni. We were only interested in one car and needed financing. While waiting to meet with financing, Manni asked me to sign a statement the he had wrote on a piece of paper. The hand written statement said that I would guarantee to purchase the vehicle if financing was approved. Was shocked to see this and told him that I would not sign such a silly statement. Not sure of his motive, but when mentioned to the finance lady she seemed to think it was nothing. Not sure if business is done this way at Forbes, but you will not get my business. Very disappointed.

My wife and I recently purchased a 2014 Sonic hatchback from Waterloo Forbes Motors, and we enjoyed the process from the very beginning. Our first impression with the front desk staff was cheering. It was a Saturday afternoon, the young girl was attentative and courteous. She called a sale representative immediately when noticing we need some assistance in the showroom. We then were greeted by Manni Birhanu with courtesy and respect. Manni helped us make a stress free but well-informed decision. Manni also went extra mile to ensure we had our winter tires installed right on pickup.

So far, this is our best car purchasing experience.

I recently visited the Forbes GM location and I have to say I was blown away by the level of customer service I received from Jean Cook. Although I was unable to make a purchase at the time, rest assured, I know EXACTLY where I am going when the time comes. From the second I walked into the beautiful showroom, her contagious smile and outgoing personality had me SOLD! Jean introduced me to a few of her fellow employees, offered me a beverage and made me feel like I was a VIP client; not just a guy off the street. Jean's ability to uncover what I was looking for, while keeping my budget and needs at the forefront truly sets her apart from the rest. She had me (and other people in the showroom) in tears from laughter, and to this day I don't think I've ever felt so at ease in a dealership setting. Every single moment I spent at Forbes were moments I will never forget. I can't wait to be a part of the Forbes family of customers. Thank-you Jean for making this shopping experience, a memorable one!

So my husband Denis purchased a used truck from Forbes last year .. tonight he dropped it off for service and I went to pick him up after work. I arrived and we started looking at the used vehicles on the lot. Went inside and ended up signing paperwork for a brand new 2018 Cruze hatchback. Manny is amazing as is all your sales staff. They were patient and beyond helpful. Let me just say the last brand new vehicle I purchased for myself was 20 years ago. I can t stop bouncing I m so excited. Thank you for all your help. On the first day I went for service at Forbes GM I was impressed by Chris the service manager and his knowledge of the issue I was having. After having been at another GM dealer several times to find the issue it was amazing to find someone that knew about the issue already. Unfortunately that was the highlight of the story. The vehicle was not put back together safely and I was allowed to drive home on a rainy dark Friday without wipers etc. A return visit was required to complete the original repair and yet today it still is not repaired and I am still waiting on a phone call to tell me the cost of parts for a repair I have already approved. I have tried to be a good customer since I was treated so nice on that first visit but it appears as if there is no desire to stand behind their service guarantee.

Cannot thank Brady (Corvette Service Technician) and the rest of the service team at Forbes Motors.

Coming from Mississauga, I must have passed 6+ GM/Chevy Dealerships and Service Centers on the way to Forbes Motors.

I was referred to Forbes Motors in one of the Corvette clubs and was told that if I ever needed warranty work or service to only go to Forbes and have Brady work on the vehicle.

Brady took his time working on my vehicle, explaining what he was doing and how it was going to either change, improve or resolve the issues I was having with my Corvette Grand Sport.

Finalized a used auto sale with Forbes today. Great experience thanks to the efforts of Graham Miller. Graham was straightforward and kept my wife and I up to date throughout process. Well worth the drive from London. When they rolled the car out today for us to take home it looked brand new and drives great. I won t hesitate to send people to Forbes and ask for Graham. You won t be disappointed.

Took my 6-month old new Malibu in for the first oil change last month at the Forbes. The work was fine, but when I picked up the car, lots of oil stains were spotted on the floor mats as well as on the roof (guess the service guy just grabbed the door roof to get out of the car with oily hands/gloves). Previous car dealers all left a paper or something under the driver seat so that these kind of issues never happened, and obviously Forbes doesn't bother to do so... I've changed the driver seat floor mat but I have to bear with the roof stain whenever I drive now

So impressed! As a long-standing customer of a competing dealership, I was not really expecting Forbes to win me over. They did. I had heard friends mention this dealership, and now I see first-hand why they recommended Forbes.
I was blown away by their welcoming staff, professionalism, and patience. The sales team were helpful but not pushy. They gave me the info I needed to make my decision, and helped me choose a great vehicle, while respecting the price range I preferred. Dave M. was the sales member who helped me out.
After Sales service was amazing! Sue was my service adviser; this team is highly skilled and customer focused.
I would definitely recommend Forbes!

I had the best experience buying my brand new car from the guys at Forbes! I got a brand new 2015 Cruz and I absolutly love it! They made it easy and gave me the best deal they possibly could. Matthew Martin was great, he never pressured me into buying but was always there when I had questions. I would highly reccommend dealing with him! Thank you Forbes Waterloo you are the best! You really do provide 5 star service.

2 weeks back , i and my husband walked in to forbes to check out Chevrolet Cruze, with the great anticipation of owning the vehicle,the receptionist was polite enough to find us a sales representative.We were happy with it . We test drove almost 7 cars and this was our 8th one

He pulled a red Chevrolet Cruze for our test drive, My husband wanted to check the responsiveness of the vehicle (obviously a customer has the privilege to check that), he raised the gas pedal and turned to check the responsiveness, none was on our way neither none was hurt too, immediately the sales guy commented in a sarcastic way, this may not be your car, but please be nice with it, this is someones car.
My husband test drove the previous 7 cars in the same way and none even had a problem with it, if the way he checked the responsiveness was wrong, definitely the other car dealers would have at least told us, i personally feel its the right way to check the responsiveness

Then we dint utter a word, finished our test drive and my husband told him, there is a way to tell him if he wanted to tell anything to a customer, the sales rep back answered that when you drive the car like an IDIOT, i can say only this,he called a customer who was willing to do business with him as an idiot and he also told that my husband is driving as if hes going to steal that car, hes in a very decent IT job, he doesn't have to do that,
Next comes the Manager, i feel a good Manager, if he gets some complaint, he should analyse or at least should have the courtesy to ask what the problem is to both sides,just hearing the Sales Representative alone, he just came and asked my husband Are you an idiot?How can a person be so judgmental? We seriously felt a kind of racist behavior in that showroom, which i also read in the previous reviews.
Who ever committed a mistake, a Manager should at least ask what the problem is?.I feel its not fair just like that to judge a person that too a customer who was willing to do a business with him.

We just walked out, there was no use in explaining to them, when they were so judgmental.
the next day we went to another Honda car dealer, they told us very clearly, this a test drive, you can check the vehicle the way you want and the sales representative demonstrated us in the same way my husband did with Cruz, Look who is an idiot here?by passing sarcastic comments
I dint want to be rude here as what they did to us in the Forbes Showroom, by mentioning the sales representative name and the Managers name , though we remember their names so well, we dint want other customers to be judgmental on them as they were to us.

I dint utter a word in the show room when this scene was happening because i know there is no use in debating there, when they are so rude to us and i want to speak up here.

Please do inquire the situation before judging a customer.We would never step inside that Forbes Waterloo Chevrolet Showroom,to the reply here the sales person didn't immediately report to the manager.. only when my husband raised the issue and he told he wants to talk with the manager he immediately rushed inside befor my husband to complain... if dangerous driving s been observed he would hav immediately reported after our return.l which he didn't . After we raised an issue with his attitude he rushed inside .Here the case is different. Please management don't justify in the wrong way....

This is a full fledged GM dealership with sales, service and body shop. Have interacted with both, the sales and service staff here and theyv are absolutely superb. The entire experience from when you walk in to walk out has been pleasant. Usually interaction with service is not very customer friendly but thats not the case here. The courtesies and etiquettes followed from customer interaction to the work they do has been great.

Terrible service and customer experience. I would never go back again.
Had the only diagnosis at a cost of $140+ - need to grind rust from brake rotors -
and funny thing happen next day my symptom just disappeared. Their diagnosis was totally wrong.
So Next day, I went there for more details of their $140 diagnosis charge but they only keep saying They can t do anything with $140 diagnosis charges If I want to refund then I need to go to small amount court. - Only I need was more details of diagnosis charge - but they keep refused to give me a details and ignoring me and then two big guys came to me and push and yelling at me to leave their property immediately so I have been kicked out from their property and then one more funny thing was happened next, my car was inside of their property parking lot but I could't
go inside their property to get my car so I called Police to get my car back.
WHAT A FUNNY PLACE If anyone wants to have some unexpected fun then go this place. haha.

Zoran Kukic is the guy who servers me to get a car...

Zoran Kukic is the guy who servers me to get a car. He is the greatest dealer I have ever met and I could feel his passion and diligence on his job. Most important thing is that he gave me a great price on the car.

I didn't see the 'real' Zoran until the day I signed the paperwork, which is the same day I have first communicated with Zoran via email. Although I didn't talk with him face to face, but I can feel the sincere Zoran has in his emails, I didn't even tell him that I decided to do the business with him after reading his first email. Approved by the appointment with him on the same afternoon, it turned out my sixth sense was correct. He is so passionate on his job, and so patient on all my questions. He always answered my question fast and in details. He is also trying his best to get the best price for me.

After around 1 month of car searching, and talked with different dealers in different dealership, I must say Zoran makes thing to be so easy and I have to say that the purchasing experience with him is great. I will definitely recommended him to my friends who need a new car ( actually, his business card has already passed to one of my hus's colleague). No doubt, I will also recommended him to all the person who is reading this review.

Unbelievable service at Forbes Motors!! We went in looking for a used truck and with a combination of good timing and great service from the Used Car Manager Chris, we found exactly what we wanted and more! The truck was fixed up and ready to go within the week and we were off without a glitch! Thanks to all of the Forbes Motors staff who made this possible.. I would highly recommend this dealer. They are also great photographers!

We asked to test drive last year's model. The salesman asked if we were buying. We said we are still trying vehicles. He gave us keys to a car that is 3 years older, with almost 90K on it and said "it's the same car". After we returned the car, we asked if we are going to go into the office, he replied: "there is no point since you are not buying". Given that I was already there, I pulled out the dealer cost from CarCostCanada and mentioned the retail price. The salesman rudely cut me off saying "I won't drop the price below retail, and there is a $399 charge as well". Firstly, it is illegal to charge anything other than the cost of the vehicle and taxes, which is why dealers don't say it is a charge; they offer you something for it, like security etching, nitrogen in the tires,...etc. Secondly, nobody pays the MSRP for any car, let alone a GM car!

I would like to recommend Nancy Jelica at Forbes. She provided me with outstanding customer service a couple of weeks ago when I went in to purchase a vehicle. Nancy explained everything and was patient, personable, and kind. She was also proficient and professional. Buying a vehicle is one of my least favourite things to do, and Nancy made it as easy as possible for me. Ask for Nancy and you will have a great experience as well!

When you book an appointment at 8:45 in the morning you would think that by noon your vehicle should be at least looked at, especial since you require the vehicle in the afternoon and told them so in the morning. I don't believe this practice is acceptable. This is not the first time I have had do deal with lengthy wait times for repairs at Forbes Motors. I have decide to take my business elsewhere from now on.

Whether it's a bday call or having a chat while our car is being serviced he's been a pleasure to know. He definitely represents Forbes GM and it's visions and values for their customers. The Service Center probably has been waiting for this review to come in, I guess it s about time to release it because they ve washed their hands cleans from this issue.

Here s a summary of everything that occurred within dealing with this collision department. I book an appointment after I had been hit while parked and the front driver side of my car was damaged, including headlight, bumper, hood, quarter panel, and bits of the door. The associate was nice, and booked me in an appointment mid-January to bring it in. He was able to fix my door enough so I could open and close it again.

Mid Jan. Drop it off, and said it should be about 5 days, I get my rental, all good so far. One week goes by, nothing, two weeks, nothing, by this time. I start calling asking where my car is. The mechanic says they underestimated how much damage was done, and they need to wait on parts. No problem. Called, they said, it will be ready tonight, no call back, called again, they said now after the weekend. I get a call Monday morning from my insurance company stating that they called them and said the repair was done and that my rental was due back today. I told the insurance company, well hang on, they told me that a long time ago, and I m not paying to rent a car longer because they gave you a false date. Sure enough my car wasn t ready to go until after the car rental place had closed, so now I m late in returning my car. Fortunately I was able to get an extension after explaining my case to the insurance company. I go to pick up my car, and guess what. IT was fixed! Yay, except The car mats were not present (not in the trunk either) One of my fog light was out, and there was this haze on the windshield. I don t take it back, I want my stuff back. Next morning comes around, the mechanic calls me and asks me why I didn t take my car back. I was like, my car mats are missing. A silly mistake, not a problem. I then ask about my fog light. Mechanic says, and I quote, we have a picture on file that I have that shows the car coming in with the fog light out. Even though I know for a fact it wasn t out when I gave it to them, the fact that it s out when I get it back (on the area where my car was hit) and that was the response I got, I was fine with it. I simply said, hey show me that picture, and I ll be on my way. Mechanic comes back and says Oh, I don t actually have the picture, I just have it written here in my notes . So he just lied to me. I asked him why he thought it was right that my car being left with him after being hit in that location be returned without a working light, and I got nothing from him.
Anyways, at this point, I m fed up, and I need to get my rental car back since I ve hit the extension so I do not get charged. I go there, no one says a word to me, and get the hell out of there.
I had to spends hours cleaning my windshield of clear coat because the person who had painted my hood didn t mask off my windshield properly (you could see the tape lines where the person had half-assed attempted to do it). I then spend time with my car and notice that my shift lock doesn t release properly, requiring me to manually release it when I want to put my car out of park (probably a costly fix) and I still have a fog light out. My headlights now also need a re-alignment, and all I get from the mechanic is words about my bulbs being after market. They are simply just Sylvania bulbs from Canadian tire, nothing special.

The Lack of response or update on why they are keeping my car four times longer than originally quoted, the mechanic lying to me, and just the lack of professionalism when returning my car and the dismissal of any responsibility towards this issue is beyond appalling. This was an insurance repair, done through them only because they were pre-authorized with the insurance company for their repairs (2,000k+ for items that clearly weren t included). They had the money, the time, to do a decent job, which they clearly did not.

Originally I brought my older cars here for service. I never once had a problem with the repair, they dealt with the problem the first time.

Time came for a new car, I came here and got it, everything went smooth, no issues at all. 8 months into owning my new car, someone ran a stop sign and it ultimately was written off.

That's when the truly great service came in, they helped me along with the paperwork for the gap insurance, they never once left me asking questions about anything. They made what could have been a very stressful situation into a very easy one.

Thanks to the people that helped. You definitely went above and beyond any expectations I could of had.

Just bought a truck from Forbes and I cannot say enough about the sales people I had the pleasure or dealing with. John Traplin and Jean Cook were amazing. Not once did I feel like John was pressuring me into the sale and he was very helpful with all of my questions as a first time buyer, even going so far as to stay late to suit my hectic schedule. Jean helped me finalize everything when I picked up the truck and she is one of the loveliest people I have met. All in all I would happily recommend these two to anyone looking for a new vehicle!

My family was referred to Tom Anastasakos for our Acura TL almost 10 years ago. However, we have yet to be disappointed by the car or the level of customer service that we receive from Tom since then. Even though Tom works at the Forbes GM Dealership, which is also very nice and clean, he is connected to the expansive Forbes network and can even help you find your next car through other networks if required. For helping my family find the right car for over 2 generations and hopefully more to come, I highly recommend Tom here at Forbes GM in Waterloo for anyone's next vehicle purchase or lease.

I had a accident in waterloo i thought tacking my new gmc truck to a dealer I would get a good job i was wong Forbes butchered my $65 000 truck it wouldn't start when I went to pick it up I had to buy 2 new batteries for the truck and change them In their parking lot the truck never started again after sitting 3 days but they say it had nothing to do with the accident . The box was off 1 inch from lining up with the cab but that is how gmc builds them they claim . The list is long I had to pay to finish the repairs to my 2 year old truck they seem to be on the side of the insurance companies and just want to rob you for extra money I would never go back

I have never experienced this bad service at a dealer. We got an initial offer from a sales man, but I feel that I need to compare with other brands and dealers. However, when we left the dealer, and I wanted check with the back space of the car again, the manage expelled us, in a very bad attitude!!!As a result, I'll never go back. You can imagine how the follow-up service will be after you make this deal.

beware of very misleading pricing and sales tactic, felt very uncomfortable during the process picking up the car, salesman became rude and impatient. however, still very enjoy my new Chevy
-to respond: First of all, I am not posting this to get extra stuff now, and I am not calling your manager to get yelled again. I know the deal is done whether I like it or not. I am just offering other people some advice when buying a new car (1. bring a calculator, verify the percentages before signing, 2. record the VIN number and the mileage of the car you tried and plan to buy). The car is definitely worth to buy and I recommend a Chevy to everyone. However, I still want to clarify the story so other consumers can benefit.

When I am picking the car that day, I was asking questions at first and didn't not say I am not taking it. The salesperson already got impatient and upset and feeling I am wasting his time. I am very disappointed in this service and later found discrepancy between the price discount he claimed giving me 7% but calculated to be only 4% (Guys, bring a calculator with you when you are buying a car!) , which I tried to ask for some accessories to fill a little of the gap (winter mats). He also rudely bluffed at me at first and said if you don't want the vehicle I will give your money back, which he try to deny later. All the conversation are very unpleasant. I get upset and want to back out of the purchase since he said I can get my money back. Then the man suddenly turns outrageous and became yelling and very rude. I end up buying the car because still because I like the car itself. Btw, they give me a different car, not the one I tried and told them I would buy, I don't find any difference so didn't care about it, but now I wonder why. (The mileage on the one I picked up was smaller than the one I tried and recorded) - (GUYS, record the VIN number and the mileage on the car you tried and want to buy!)

I am stating honest facts here, I truly enjoy the car and would wish the dealer would improve the service for all the customers regardless of their culture. I am now becoming more disappointed because of the response. The dealer are even trying to justify the rude behaviors by accusing their customer and not willing to offer a simple apology. Do you think they have the right to be rude?

I began shopping around for a new vehicle in November 2018, at first I went to the Toyota Dealership in my town before I was referred to Brent Flanagan at Forbes GM! (Thank you to my wonderful Aunt Darlene who referred me to Brent) I already knew the vehicle I was wanting to purchase but needed some guidance on the differences between lease/purchase etc., in addition my current car at the time had no bells or whistles so I was very new to all the advanced technology in cars.

From the very beginning, Brent responded to my text messages quickly (yes he provided his personal number) and it really made me feel like he was going above and beyond. It took a little longer than expected to get my vehicle built but Brent consistently followed-up with timelines and when I came to pick up my vehicle he had a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for me. (It is the little things that stick in your mind, the small gesture made my day) When I called Brent out of the blue because I couldn't find the button to open the gas tank (comical now..) he immediately picked up, I sent him pictures and within 5 minutes. We had it under control.

I have had my RAV 19 since January and she is a beauty! I'm in love with my car every time I step into it. And I can't thank BRENT FLANAGAN at FORBES GM enough! Your expertise, kindness, and dedication to your clients - really makes me feel like I got the right Car guy in my corner.

I was in a bad spot and he went out of his way to help me and was chearful about doing it . Everytime I come here service takes way longer than I am told. There's no snacks in waiting area, no kids toys or area for them to wait (besides 2 Colouring books that are already fully coloured). I expect better.
