Their response to disatisfied service is....not to...

Their response to disatisfied service is....not to respond at all.

Had the car aligned at a cost of $200+. An alignment was recently done prior to this due to an accident. For peace of mind I came to Forbes as they are 'GM Specialists'

They perform the alignment and indicate prior shop did an improper job. I bring the car to the prior shop and they show me exactly why Forbes adjustment is incorrect.

In addition to this, after Forbes performed the alignment, the car skipped/hopped very badly while turning in reverse. I go back to Forbes to point out the issue and the tech tells me that it's normal. All the sports cars do it, including the new Vette. Gives me a line about the diff being cold. I bring this back to the prior shop and they immediately agree that this isn't normal. They go back over Forbes alignment and determine that things are now binding badly. At the time, I suck it up as Forbes is treating me like I don't know what I'm talking about

Fast forward a couple months and I bring the car to have a known supercharger issue checked out. Their diagnosis indicates it's fine and proceeds to charge me $40 for the diagnosis. Dash cam reveals that their diagnosis was to go to the parking lot where it was, start the car and listen under the hood for 1:20.

While I understand that they have the right to charge a minimum, it's just poor customer service. When I express my disappointment in the combined experience during last 2 services, I am ignored.

With the exception of my last free oil change (car purchased last march), there will be no more future purchases or services for me at this dealership. There's no shortage of garages in this city and honesty, integrity and customer service go a long way.

I would just like to let everyone know at Forbes that I have been fortunate enough to purchase my latest vehicle from John Traplin at Forbes. I had a few specifications for the vehicle I wanted, and John introduced me to the Orlando. He met all of my needs and I bought the vehicle without hesitation. I have been extremely impressed with the service I have recieved at Forbes. John keeps in contact with me on a regular basis, to make sure that I am still enjoying the Orlando. I found John to be efficient, friendly and very professional. Since the purchase I have had my vehicle serviced at Forbes, and Dave Lippert has been fantastic as well. I have had the pleasure of dealing with John, Dave and Jody over the past several months, and I can honestly say that I am a truly satisfied customer! I have sent several friends to see John and they have all commented on how fantastic he is! I guess the greatest compliment I've heard is that he gets as much information as he can to get you the right car at the right price. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I was quoted $3800.00 in repairs for my buick allure. The technician said to me he needed to order the relay and the board...he also told me that he wasn't sure that would even fix the problem....

Ltitle did this technician know that I am also a technician who drove this car to the repair shop....yes it starts and runs and I was told I needed a new board and new relay.

I demanded my vehicle back and took it directly to BENNETT GM. Not only did they fix the issue for UNDER $200 Dollars.
It took them less than 1 HR to both diagnose and fix..the issue...

Turned out to be nothing more than corroded electrical contacts.

What a joke.

In January of 2015 I received a phone call from Forbes letting me know that I could trade in my 2011 leased Cruze early as Forbes wanted to help me get into a new car! I was very excited and pleased with this - I mean, who doesn't want to be driving a brand new vehicle if they can? My previous lease had been with Schlueter so this was my first experience on the sales floor at Forbes.

Brent Flanagan assisted with the leasing of my new 2015 Chevy Cruze and I am so happy that he was the one who called me up in january. Not only was I impressed with the company's willingness to get me into a new vehicle but Brent made the experience so exciting and made me feel honored to be a part of the Forbes family. Brent made us feel very comfortable with the lease and with our decision and he truly made us feel like we were getting the best deal possible. He was courteous, helpful, and a pleasure to work with.

We have and will continue to recommend Forbes and also, Brent Flanagan, to all of our friends and family.

Nothing but good things to say about Forbes GM. Our salesperson Jean was wonderful!!! So friendly, extremely helpful and never made me feel pressured. The sales manager Rebecca was also very friendly and helpful when we encountered a few hiccups when finding the perfect vehicle.
I have already recommended Jean and the team at Forbes to some family members. I would definitely shop there again.

I recently purchased a new GMC sierra from Matt Martin at Forbes. Not only did I get a great deal on the truck where Matt made sure to get me every discount I was possibly eligible for, but he helped me get a sick truck that met all my needs including having a hitch put in the back. He also sat with me after I purchased the truck to set up all the confusing electronic stuff which I really appreciated. Matt was honest, helpful and not high pressure all of which were a refreshing change and greatly appreciated! Would recommend him and forbes to anyone!

Had a great experience with Forbes Motors. They offer way more than the competitors in terms of incentives, lease rates and little extras like free oil changes for the 1st year. The overall show room is very clean and Moe was more than welcoming, honest and knowledgeable about the vehicle I purchased. Moe made sure the delivery went as scheduled. I've had my vehicle for a month now and I can not say enough good things about it. Highly recommend this dealership!

I had purchased a new Buick lease 2 years ago, great sales support from Brent and no complaints with him and would recommend him anytime. But can't say the same for the service, had car in 3 times so far for the same minor noise issue but still not fixed, called and was then transferred abruptly to service manager and left message but of course no call back. This is just a minor issue (not mechanical) but still expect better response and will now consider other dealers before my next purchase. Very unfortunate as really enjoyed dealing with Brent, but service and service manager support is lacking.

The service at Forbes Motors is outstanding! We couldn't have been more pleased with the interactions we had with all of the staff when we purchased both our Mazda Speed 3 and GMC Terrain there. All of the staff is exceptionally friendly and easy to work with. Our schedules didn't allow us to come into the office until late in the evening and multiple people stayed late for us in order to get all of the paperwork done as quickly as they could. The financing team worked very fast and did everything they could to get us the best rate and deal they could and took care of every detail! Our sales associate took extremely good care of us and listened to all our needs and everything that we were looking for in a vehicle (even though we changed our minds a couple times!). We truly felt like we were treated like family.

Every time we've got anything serviced on our vehicles there the staff has always been friendly and very efficient. We've always got our vehicles back on time and were always well taken care of. This is a great dealership for both sales and vehicle maintenance and I'd certainly recommend going to Forbes Motors to anyone!!

My wife was charged 0.5 Hours - $40 to inspect an...

My wife was charged 0.5 Hours - $40 to inspect and price a Sunvisor Cover. The little piece of Plastic that covers the Vanity Mirror on the Visor. One of the Tabs broke and it now dangles in place.

This wasn't the only charge, we also paid the normal $69 Inspection fee for the repair estimates we wanted, which is why i don't understand the additional charge?

Seriously $40 and 30 minutes to look at a broken tab and provide a replacement price. NOT replace it, just to let us know what it would cost to replace it. Which we certainly will not be doing at Forbes. I'm not a mechanic, and it would certainly not take me 30 minutes to determine its broken and look it up on the system to determine the price.

My wife did argue the charge, but paid, and resolved to not using Forbes service anymore. I've also provided this feedback via the Dealer Survey that GM sends out.

Just wanted to share the experience.

UPDATE: Chris from Forbes read this review, or the GMC Dealer Survey i submitted. He agreed that we should not have been charged, and sent us a refund for the $40. Felt I should update this as he did resolve the issue.

My car purchase experience with Mr. Brent F. was great. He is knowledgeable, full of passion, and always patient. I would recommend his service without hesitation. It is surprised to receive a bunch of flowers while picking up the car and I won't be surprised when Brent gets promoted down the way. Thanks for the kind thought. The reason I did not put 5 star is not because of Brent's service but the Equinox itself. Personally I feel GM did not focus on small details, for example, there are wires and bolt exposed under the driver's seat and the Navigation map cannot recognize the road recently built in the West Kitchener. I would suggest the map is update to most recent while the buyer picks up the car. Overall, I liked it.

They broke my windshield while replacing a wiper-m...

They broke my windshield while replacing a wiper-module as part of a recall and did not own up. They had the gall to tell me it was caused by a stone chip. The crack was within 2 cms of the wiper assembly. There was no crack/chip before the car went in to service. Your guess is as good as mine. As i did not have any possible way to prove it, their service guy Dave Lippert suddenly turned from "hello sir" to "bye bye sir, we can't do anything". They very well knew I wasn't coming back and did not do anything about it. 500$ wasted down the drain. Guess what - with shoddy service and being the only dealer in the area, i'm probably done with GMC too - all because of the dealer.

I've been a customer at many different dealerships over the years but the people at Forbes have always met or exceeded my expectations with each interaction. From both sales and service, they've gone out of their way to assist me.
Brent from sales recently helped me purchase my second vehicle from Forbes and the entire process was excellent. Very knowledgeable and not too pushy during the decision making process. I will definitely come back when it's time to buy again.

I found the experience at GMC Forbes was fantastic from start to finish. Very welcoming environment with lots of friendly staff. Manni was the salesperson that dealt with the purchase of the 2010 Cadillac CTS which was in impeccable condition plus was offered at a fabulous price. There were several bells and whistles to learn but Manni made sure he spent the time necessary to go over everything before we left. He went above and beyond. Much appreciated and 100% will highly recommend this dealership...

This place is a joke. Bought a car from this place...

This place is a joke. Bought a car from this place and the dealer didn't know anything about the car and said it will last about 4 years. That should have been a red flag but I continued to try to trust them but the service people did not check my car properly and didnt even notice I had a bolt missing in my tire. Oil change was not reset properly and forgot to fill wiper fluid. When the service guy argued with me in front of the service manager and basically threatened me. I knew this place was dead to me.

Laughably awful experience as a first time service...

Laughably awful experience as a first time service customer at Forbes. Took a few tries to actually get someone on the line to get an appointment, but once I did the person was very pleasant. I was offered an appointment the next day (Wednesday) but specifically booked for Thursday because I had some space in my day and the weather looked better. Arrived ahead of time for my appointment and was promptly told that I didn t have an appointment and that they were sooooo busy and that even if I had an appointment, it would be many hours for my 15 minute job because they were so backed up. Super first impression. Then the person with zero customer service skills told me that my appointment was for the day before, all the while never offering another date or time or solution. My solution was to book the service at another dealership and avoid this one. One star is for the friendly person on the other end of the phone when I finally did get through!

I came in not knowing much about cars and looked t...

I came in not knowing much about cars and looked to check out some and see what I liked. Tony asked me some questions and after discussing thoroughly he showed me 2 cars one being a Chevy Malibu that I instantly liked. I decided to shop around and explore my other options and found that Forbes had fair pricing and especially better and more friendly service than most!
After looking and deciding on the Malibu Tony was able to get me a good deal. But the most important and impressive part to me was how I had paid, the deal was done, but he still decided to take the time to work with me ensuring we had everything set up and that I understood how to work the new features in the car. He took his time to answer my additional questions even though the deal was done. The car was also freshly cleaned and looked amazing! I was very impressed with the service at Forbes after the deal and I think that says a lot about the business!
Thank you Tony for finding me a great car, I now enjoy my drives to work and meetings everyday!

My wife and I are really excited for our new 2015 Chevy Equinox. As a young couple, each of which had never bought a car before, we must say our experience was certainly a positive one. Not only were the staff friendly and informed about their vehicles, but they also helped us realize exactly what we needed to be looking for and at the right price.

We were lucky enough to have dealt with Russ Forbes and he treated us with respect and was able to answer all of our questions without hesitation. He made the experience personal which made us feel very comfortable with such a large and committed purchase.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to buy at Forbes and we look forward to continuing this great relationship with their service staff as well as future car purchases!

This is a respectable dealership that really puts the customer first. I would recommend Forbes to anyone!

Took my truck in because the driver side tail ligh...

Took my truck in because the driver side tail light wasn't working properly. I had hooked up a back up camera to the reverse light, as per installation instructions, and it had worked perfectly for 2 years prior. I had even disconnected the back up camera before taking it in to verify that wasn't any part of the issue. I reconnected it before I took it in since the tail light didn't work with or without the camera.
They blamed the issue on the back up camera anyway, disconnected it and refused to hook it back up. They put in a new wiring harness for the tail light and it still didn't work. So then they pulled the fuse for my trailer connections and the tail light worked.
I went in with a malfunctioning tail light and left with the back up camera disconnected and no trailer lights. Blamed it on me for "Splicing in an after market device." B.S. it worked fine for 2 years and the problem was in the trailer wiring not the camera.
Oh and when they called they said they disconnected the trailer brakes, not the entire trailer connection, when I picked it up I find on the bill they pulled the fuse for the entire trailer wiring. I need my trailer lights and had I known I would have insisted they work.
Going back to my previous mechanic, even though it's out of my way, I'm done with Forbes

Follow up. I took it into my previous mechanic and he had everything working perfectly in no time. Trailer lights work, tail lights work and my backup camera. No blaming the camera. No nonsense.

They have us bring the car in for a recall service only to tell us later in the day that they dont have the part. You charge $100 an hour for your time, I guess the time of your clients must be free? BIg fail !

First, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE my 201...

First, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE my 2014 Chevy Traverse from Forbes Motors. It is the perfect vehicle for my busy family and having traded in a Buick Enclave, I'm thrilled to have all of the features that I need and want.

Second, I need to tell you that working with Doug Moser at Forbes was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped into the showroom, Doug was a pleasure to deal with. He has a genuine smile and care for his customers that made me feel completely at home. Doug worked with me to find the vehicle with the features I was looking for. He worked patiently with me as we tweaked the numbers until we had a deal that we could both be pleased with.
During moments of waiting, other members of the team said hello, making me feel welcome and made it obvious to me that they respect and appreciate Doug as a co-worker.
I especially appreciate the extra few minutes to help me hook up my iPhone to the car's bluetooth system. That little extra attention made a world of difference.
From walking in the door until driving off the lot, Doug treated me with care and respect and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Doug again.

The service team here is not interested in helping...

The service team here is not interested in helping customers. They just want to charge you for things you may not even need. I was with Schleuters Chevrolet before they closed down and Forbes bought their client list. I got a letter in the mail assuring me that the transition would be seemless. A couple months ago I brought my car in because the steering wheel was wobbling a bit. Forbes took apart everything and wanted to charge me $700 for 4 new tires. My last visit to Schleuters they told me that I would need to replace my tires. Forbes ignored this note, took everything apart and charged me almost $100 for the diagnosic that my tires needed to be replaced (something they would have known if they had looked at Schleuters notes). I refused as the price seemed very high. I was able to find the same tires for $250 less at one of their competitors. Chris, the service manager, is obviously not interested in the customer experience. I told him of my concerns and he refused to do anything for me. CAUTION!!! STAY AWAY!!

My family purchased a GMC Sierra from Forbes Motors. This is our first GM product and also our first pick-up truck. We were in the market for a vehicle to haul the family comfortably, safely and to haul our camping trailer.

Our Salesman was Tom Anastasakos. Tom encouraged and provided us with various trims from GM and Chevrolet trucks to test drive. Furthermore, he was well informed and did a wonderful job explaining all the options to help us find the most suitable truck for our family.

We visited all the GM/Chev/Buick dealerships in our area and from the receptionist to the salesman - this dealership stood out from the rest.

My family has purchased cars from all three Forbes dealership multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The service departments at Toyota and GM have always been extremely helpful whether it be booking early/late appointments and never trying to oversell us anything. I have recommended Forbes to friends, family and coworkers and will continue to do so.

I had my Nissan for over 5 years, & figured it was time for a change. My husband looked up a bunch of places & we decided to go to Forbes motors in Waterloo. We dealt with Kurt R. He took the time to show us a few different options. He was very knowledgeable, & answered all the questions we had. We ended up buying a white 2017 Chevy Cruze & couldn't be any happier. Great experience picking up our 2015 Volt. Jody was a pleasure to deal with and kept in constant communication as they attempted to secure the car we wanted. They were able to (very quickly) locate and bring in exactly the vehicle we wanted. The whole process seemed extremely natural and we did not feel pressured in the least to sign on anything we did not want to. The follow up after our purchase and happy birthday call definitely made us feel like a valued customer. I would strongly recommend Forbes if you are looking at buying a new/used GM vehicle!

Best Collision centre service ever. Most important factor is the team leader. How he or she manages the team and help the customers. For this instance the manager of collision center was very understanding and helpful. As I was on my way to drive from here to Washington DC. And was worried about my suv making strange noises from the right rear wheel side. The manager took a test drive with me. And felt the problem as vibrations in steering wheel were taking place while taking a sharp turn.

He was able to make sure that my SUV got repaired and would be in excellent condition to drive back and forth to spend Christmas and New Years in USA. Best service center and believe me their experience in the field is exceptional. Thanks and belated Happy New Year

My husband and I went to Forbes to look at an Acadia and get a quote on our used car to trade in... We ended up purchasing a 2015 GMC Acadia from Doug Moser that day! Doug was awesome to work with, we never felt pressured to buy. He worked with us to get the best price for our used car and took his time to compare the Acadia models to figure out a monthly price we were comfortable with. On the day we picked up our Acadia, Doug went through all the paper work with us, explaining each page and telling us about the service centre. He took us on a tour of the building and told us what to do when we come for service etc. When we went out to the Acadia he transferred our plates in the cold winter weather and then helped us set up OnStar and connect our phone to the Bluetooth system. He showed us all the buttons and how to work everything. A few days after getting the Acadia, Doug took the time to call us to see if everything was good with the new ride and how we were liking it. Both my husband and I were happy with our experience at Forbes and especially with Doug Moser. We highly recommend this dealership and Doug!!
