Chris Maunsell, the Fixed Operations Manager at Forbes GM provides the best service of any dealership anywhere in Canada that I have dealt with in the 50+ years that I have owned and operated vehicles in Canada and the United States. When stranded due a vehicle breakdown on Highway 401, he bent over backwards to ensure that we were treated cordially and efficiently in an effort to get us back on the road as quickly as possible.

I can not say enough about the level of service that was provided by Chris. He is truly a very special person in the service industry and Forbes GM should be very proud to have such an individual on their team.

I recently purchased a GMC Sierra from Brent Flanagan down at Forbes and every single experience I've had along the way has been painless, straightforward, honest, and at times even fun.
My vehicle came GM certified and its been no hassle to bring it in, even for the smallest thing, Brent made sure everything was done right.
I run my own roofing company and when tragedy befell my business I came to Mr. Flanagan in dire need of a reliable reasonably priced truck, and I needed it yesterday. Brent made that happen, literally, this guy actually has a time machine....im joking, however Brent did make sure I had everything I needed to keep my business going, and feeding my family.
When I bring my vehicle in for any type of service, they treat me as though my vehicle is just as important as their vehicle, and their service staff is friendly and informative.
We've all heard the horror stories of car dealers, and we all feel apprehensive about purchasing something so grand from a complete stranger....well let me introduce you to my friend, Brent Flanagan down at Forbes. I cant speak for the rest of the car salesmen out there but I can speak for Brent and his team, and he isn't a car sales man...he is a man, involved in the sale of cars.....and trucks......and probably minivans.......Trust him, I do.

Went above and beyond completing work under warranty, plus repaired another non urgent problem that I didn't inquire about because I thought it wasn't covered under warranty but they fixed it and got it covered under another program of some sort. After over a year I decided to update this review. It's still 1 star, no surprise there. It amazes me that these outdated establishments exist! Oh wait, they needed a bailout to exist. If you're buying a brand new car, unless it's run on pure energy, you're wasting your money. Another 10 years and the government will bail them out again-even though it's dinosaur technology. Even without all these facts, I'd rather be shot in the foot than ever have to deal with the dinosaurs that "manage" this building. Again, on Courtland there's a great shop called Adriatic or something to that effect; I recommend that shop.

The service team lacks skills. The service team receives all the wrong repairs due to misjudgment, and there is still a problem after repairs. They charge two hours of labor to replace one O2 sensor. Because of the unreliable service team, next time I will consider a truck of another competitor.

Forbes Motors has always been an excellent dealers...

Forbes Motors has always been an excellent dealership that is easy to deal with in every department. I have personally used all three major depts, Sales, Sevice, and Body Shop. They are friendly to deal with and very knowledgeable. I recently purchased a chevy Sonic and was very happy that I didn't have to deal with the "other" dealership up the road that recently dissapeared. Forbes has been there every step of the way from back when I purchased my first car in 2002, a van in 2009 and right up until today. We love our vehicles and our service. Anyone writing on here saying a negative comment really should've expressed their "concerns" with the dealership at that point in time as I know it would've been resolved. I can't believe the BS (pardon my language) that I read on here. Forbes is the ONLY dealership to deal with. Way to go Forbes..you still are #1 as always

We picked up our 2019 XT5 on Saturday and we are absolutely ecstatic with it. It took a little longer to come in then expected but Manni kept us informed throughout the whole process. When we started looking a the XT5, we went straight to Forbes to see Manni since he was so honest, professional and not pushy at all when we purchased an Acadia from him 4 years ago. He takes his time to ensure we get the best deal possible and even offered to help post our old vehicle since the trade in price was not going to be what we expected. If you need a new vehicle, I would recommend going to see Manni. If he doesn't have one in stock, I'm sure he will do his very best to bring one in for you.

The place is always clean and professional. The service drivers are excellent. Parts department is great and know what they are talking about. I recommend Forbes Motors. When the time comes I will be looking for my next vehicle here.

I worked with Brent Flanagan in my pursuit of a Colorado and have to say that he was amazing. Very friendly, outgoing, willing to accommodate to my schedule and offer up honest opinions to try and get me exactly what I want. He suggested options I didn't know where possible and being the friendly guy he is, has a lot of friends with after-market parts experience who can suggest the best options to include and add to get the most out of your vehicle. Great experience dealing with Brent.

Forbes is a top notch dealership, in both service and sales. We started out having our GM vehicle serviced with them and were very impressed with the quality of their workmanship and customer focus. Last week, we met with Moe Sasila in Sales at Forbes and ended up buying a Cadillac. Moe was fantastic to deal with in every way. He patiently and clearly informed us of all our vehicle and purchase options. He was very honest with us throughout the whole process and gave us time and space to make the best choice. We highly recommend this dealer and if you want to buy a vehicle, Moe is the guy.

Very unhappy with the Service Department at this location, Had to take my car in for a recall part. My hatch on my Orlando doesn't work, it's an electric button I asked them to take a look at it. Well after dropping my car off at 9am only to be told it wont be ready until after 3pm. I get a call around 3:15 to tell me to replace the "Switch" would cost $250. This is a ridiculous price for 1 small electronic button that can be switched out in under 20 min. I told them not to bother as this was way overpriced. Anyway I just went to pick up my Chevy and was charged $80 for them to tell me my button doesn't work, something that was not told to me in advance.

Don't use dealerships stick with a mechanic you can trust.

Avoid the service department. My wife brought our truck in to fix a squeaky belt and get an oil change. She was called up to the desk and asked to pay before they even told her what had been done. Then they couldn't find the truck. Then she found out they didn't fix the belt since they "didn't hear a squeak" even though she had explained it only squeaks when it's cold. Then they topped up the coolant saying it was "dangerously low" but didn't check the coolant system for a possible cause. There seems to be major lack of communication all around. Maybe they were just having an off day, but we'd never go back based on this experience.

Absolutely disgusting service. Four hours after the service, I got the same problems with coils as before. Moreover, a tow truck was required. This is after 750 dollars service! After inspecting the work, I discovered the stripped threads after the Forbes work. The dealership doesn't know what tools to use to repair cars? Would like to add a terrible customer service job. This was the last time I used Forbes. Roll to hell!

Purchasing a vehicle is not one of my most favourite things to do, and for most people the decision to purchase a vehicle is done rarely. I am a GM employee, and over my 32 year career, my wife and I have always bought GM vehicles, but would avoid GM dealerships for the purchase of used vehicle because our GM dealer experience has never impressed. Our experience at Forbes however, has changed all of that. The sales staff are professionals, Brent Flannagan along with the team at Forbes, and management went above and beyond to make sure our GM experience was to our satisfaction and world class. Congratulations to all of you!! Perhaps all GM dealerships should be modelled around yours!! I was so impressed with the used car experience that I decided to purchase a NEW vehicle also. Unlike other GM dealerships I have experienced over the years, when I disclosed that I was a GM employee, there was no attitude change, I was treated with the outmost respect, just like everyone should be when they are spending their hard earned money. Congratulations on a job well done, I highly recommend your dealership to anyone interested in the purchase of a NEW / USED GM vehicle.

Went to see the long anticipated CTS 6 at the dealership in town . I saw one in the showroom that was sold and an add on the windshield indicating that. A sales person told me he can't show the the vehicle as it is sold and that it the only one they've got. REALLY!!. Why just one? Why tease shoppers if you cannot show and drive the vehicle? Turned around and left the dealership. What a waste of time!

BUICK LaCrosse Part 1

I have dealt with Forbes for close to 15 years. During these years I have become friends with some of the staff and a loyal customer. Allow me to relate my latest experiences with Forbes and in particular Brandon Wilson.

Last summer, July 2011, my spouse passed away unexpectedly passed away. Within a day I received a call from Brandon expressing his concern and offering to help in any way he could. A month or so later I did contact Forbes and spoke with Brandon. I now had two Buicks and needed to make some changes in vehicles. So it was now time to rely on Brandon to help get me into a vehicle I would appreciate and enjoy while taking into account my 11.5 year old golden retriever named Tucker and my budget. A tough call considering we (Tucker and I) are both kinda picky. :-)

I arrived for our appointment and was heartily greeted by Brandon. He shared his thoughts and impressions of Peter and how much he enjoyed working with us on our last purchase, an Allure. This would be our 5th car deal with Forbes.

Brandon assured me he could help me purchase any vehicle of my choice from the Forbes line up but had a special car to show me that he was sure I would like. He brought out a lovely LaCrosse 2011. I inspected it. I sat in it. I drove it. I LOVED IT !!

Besides a fabulous deal, Brandon also greatly helped with some estate issues surrounding our former vehicles, insurance and licensing. He and the Forbes Motors team were there 100% for me.

Brandon was a gem and went far beyond his responsibilities as a car retailer in his efforts to support me. Kudos to Brandon for sharing and caring and to Forbes Motors for ensuring that your friendly, conscientious and qualified staff exceed in their chosen careers.

BUICK LaCrosse Part 2

On December 28, 2011 I was involved in a serious accident when a driver ran a red light and T boned me in my new LaCrosse 2011. The car was a total write off. It couldn't have happened at a worst time. Christmas season, many people on holidays and everyone very busy with family and friends.

Again the support and help I received from Forbes and their wonderful staff was phenomenal. Brandon Wilson, Ray Lavoie and Jodie Swanston were amazing in their reactions to my situation. All three went way beyond my expected protocol in helping me at a very stressful time. Brandon found me a 2012 LaCrosse, same colour, more options at a wonderful price. Ray made sure that all of my personal items were salvaged from the wreck. And Jodie made the paper work as easy as pie to deal with.

The smiles and words of encouragement from the Forbes' staff meant a great deal. It was heartening to see so many do so much in such a short time. I believe every department played a significant part in the process and everyone ensured that I was looked after in a thorough and gentle manner.

I was completely satisfied when I purchased my LaCrosse 2011 last summer and was elated with the response of the team and with Forbes Motors on the acquisition of my new LaCrosse 2012.

Efficient service center. Decent waiting area. Got charged an hour of labour for a 5 minute TPMS warning level reset. Its seriously 5 steps in the Tech2 scan tool. I guess they have a base charge, but I still find that a bit annoying.

Just picked up our first car and we are super satisfied for every aspect of this purchase. Manni Birhanu and the team are very nice and helpful throughout this process: they helped us to make an informed decision about the model and configuration, patiently answered all of our questions (really a LOT even for someone who haven't had a car before), offered solutions for our commuting before picking up the vehicle, and even more surprises when picking up the car as well :)

Already recommended this dealership to my friends and we are more than happy to work with them again for our next vehicle. Thank you Manni to make the purchase of our first car a painless, efficient and enjoyable experience!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Wes Jones and Moe Sasila when purchasing my new 2018 Chev Cruze. I went into the dealership with a sticky situation, and both Wes and Moe worked together to find the best answer for me. Wes is also not obligated to lead sales by any means, but he explained in detail all of my options, and sent follow up emails to ensure was happy with my decision and the car. They were both thorough and down to earth! I would recommend Forbes to anyone looking into getting a new vehicle or even for vehicle service! Great guys!

One year and change later- my family and I returned to Forbes after a car accident took our lovely Chev Cruze. After having our first child and planning to return to school our budget was low. Again Wes Jones and especially Manni (sales guy) went above and beyond to make sure our family was taken care of. Their receptionist Karen is superwoman when it comes to pulling things together fast while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Another great experience with Forbes. If I could write a slogan to accurately reflect their customer service approach it would be "families helping families". They just... Get it.

My father and I recently visited Forbes to purchase a Chevy Cruze, we were very pleased with the wonderful service Doug Moser provided for us. He was very happy to help with any questions I had (which was A LOT) and any questions my father had. He walked us through the whole process and made it very easy for my father and I. (He even helped me convince my dad to get a six speed! Haha).
Forbes is a wonderful dealership full of awesome people. I recommend the dealership and Doug to all my friends and relatives who need new vehicles (and even some who don't!)

My husband and I are from Wiarton, Ontario and recently purchased a new 2019 Silverado from Forbes Motors in Waterloo for the second We live over 3hrs away and traded our 2014 Silverado that we purchased from Forbes 5 year ago, so that says it all . HIs name was put in a draw , which we did not realize, and he won $5000 for purchasing the truck. The dealership was fantastic and we would highly recommend taking that trip to Forbes Waterloo to anyone.

I just parked my GMC Canyon in my driveway and it looks as great as it drives. Yippee! My new GRRRReat White.
I stopped in at Forbes Motors earlier in the week and I had been considering purchasing a new truck. I saw one in the showroom that intrigued me, well actually I thought it was perfect for me. Russell was patient and thorough in outlining the features it offered which happened to be every requirement I needed. My 4 x 4 with heated seats!!! ha ha. So he and his friendly and knowledgeable team worked out the numbers to fit my budget. They answered all my questions (which can be many) so I was sure this was the right truck for me.

Today Mitch had the truck ready for me to go when I arrived at the dealership. After enjoying coffee, final details, a tour of the facility and a hug I headed out. Many thanks to all who helped bring the perfect truck for me home... I will always purchase my vehicles at Forbes Motors and encourage everyone purchasing a vehicle to check it out. You will be pleased you did. They go way above selling you a vehicle and the service and after care is just as rewarding. Have a great day!

I've never been to a cleaner and more professional dealership in my life! Forbes really went well beyond my expectations and I tip my hat to their entire team! Manni Birhanu really knew his stuff and was not only professional, but very kind, generous, helping, and honestly made my experience one to remember. I am incredibly unsatisfied. I brought my 2002 Cad...

I am incredibly unsatisfied. I brought my 2002 Cadillac Seville in for service because back drivers side, at the tire, there is a loud clunking noise. We have had FOUR licensed mechanics look at it, and they have all dubbed it "the ghost". It is very loud, but hard to find. The strut was replaced 3 months ago, still made noise after. So we figured bringing it to the the dealer would be the best bet. All we were told is that it is probably the things in the truck rolling around making the noise. That is an insult to the mechanics who have previously looked at the car. These include 3 at the Kitchener Nissan dealership (where my girlfriend works, who is also the owner of the car) AND her father who owns the same car, and has been a licensed mechanic for over 20 years. We would have much preferred "I'm sorry, we can't find the source of the noise" over "take the things out of your trunk and it won't make noise." Also, the car was dropped off at 10am. At 4pm, we were told that they just started working on the car and it might not be possible for us to have it back tonight. How is someone supposed to make arrangements to get a rental car in an hours time? This is extremely unprofessional. We paid over $100 to be told to take the things out of our trunk. Never again will we be using your services. We are on the market for an additional car, and I am now certain we will NOT be purchasing from this dealer.

I just wanted to express how much I enjoyed great customer experience and professionalism from the purchase of my first car Cadillac CTS at Forbes Motors. Originally from Toronto I came to Waterloo being sick and tired of Toronto s car dealerships attitude. Since I first contacted Forbes Motors I became a delighted customer who now knows how an outstanding service looks like. Manni Birhanu who is sales and leasing consultant was the ultimate professional throughout all process of buying our first car in Canada. He communicated with me clearly and honestly focused on my needs and worries. I was extremely pleased that Manni and Ross gave me a full disclosure of the car history and maintenance. Compared to many Toronto dealerships, professionals from Forbes Motors were more than willing to tell me everything about car previous history and maintenance. They even printed me the list of replacements and other services which were done at Forbes Motors during the whole period when the previous owner serviced his car. My Cadillac was in an immaculate condition, but still Manni was more than eager to fix everything that I asked. Our buying experience at Forbes was fantastic, we were picked up at the bus station and my wife was impressed and pleased with the beautiful bouquet of red roses from the Forbes when we have had keys from our red Cadillac. The customer service was excellent and flawless. Compared with other dealerships we were treated with respect and compassion and it helped to thaw out our tension and anxiety related to buying our first car. All two times when we visited Forbes Motors Manni immediately supplied us with a replacement car to go around Waterloo or just simply to go to the local cafeteria. All two times when we visited Forbes dealership Manny filled the whole tank of gas for our car. He was able to find a winter set of tires even though Cadillac has all season ones.
I just want to thank Forbes Motors for not only delivering a great car, but also for creating a great experience for all my family. I highly recommend Forbes Motors to anyone who wants to buy a car and I will definitely be referring family and friends. It is not the closest dealer for Torontonians, but the way we were treated convinced me that I want to buy my next car at Forbes Motors!

I have never had such a terrible experience in my whole life.
We bought SUV from here and were given free service for 5 visits. Normally we would book an appointment and they would have everything in their system and will apply the credit. This time service dept forgot to apply the credit. I was informed that there will be charge of filter change, which I accepted to pay. When I arrived after work, service department was closed and I went to the receptionist and she was the most rude person I have ever dealt in my life. when I realized that the credit was not applied, she basically said that I will have to leave my car and can come in next week as it was Friday. when I refused to do so as I need the car over the weekend, she grabbed the car keys from the counter as if I will run away and said that then I will have to pay and can come next week for the adjustment. That option was not acceptable as I live at a far distance and I felt that it wasn't fair for me to waste my time provided they screw up the bill not me. I did an investment of $40000 plus I have been coming to them for the service and they were treating me as if I am some kind of thug or trying to scam them. The receptionist was making rules at her own and demanded me to pay and start calling me by names. Manager was called and instead of handing the situation properly, he was also rude and demanded me to pay and blamed me for coming after 5pm, and they cant fix the bill. ultimately another lady from back came and she saw history of my service and said that I have a free service available. During this 15 mins of conversation I was treated like a thug tried to scam them and trying to ripoff free service from them and called crazy man by the receptionist. When manager was told that I did have a free service, he even didn't apologize for his staff and his rude behavior. I told the manager that I will never come back , and receptionist said that , we don't want you to come back in front of Manager and he didn't say a word.
This was the most worse experience I had and I will strongly advice that this place will not take any responsibility if they did something wrong and will you have to pay for their mistakes.

First let me start of by saying, I am thrilled with the excellent customer service I received at Forbes Motors in Waterloo. The Sales Rep. I dealt with was Manni Birhanu. At this point, I had been to a few different dealerships and dealt with many Sales Reps, but I knew just from entering into Forbes that my experience was going to be different. From my first visit to the dealership, to the day I picked up my car, there was a genuine care, dedication and professionalism that Manni had while he helped me choose the right vehicle for me. I was particularly interested in a 2013 Chevy Cruze. It needed to have low KM and be any colour other than red and brown. Beyond this, I wasn't too concerned about all the extras. Manni was amazing! He listened to my needs and what I was looking for in a car. He made sure that all my requests were met and then some, while still making sure I purchased a reliable, safe, and reasonably priced vehicle. As a first time car owner, it's sometimes stressful not knowing what kind of car to purchase and what to look for in a good quality vehicle. Manni was awesome! He took the time, even on his day off, to go over every detail with me and made sure that I understood every aspect of my new vehicle inside and out! I really felt like he cared about me and my concerns as if he was the one purchasing the car. I felt comfortable and relaxed during the entire process. Can I say too, that as an added bonus I was presented with flowers on the final day of my purchase! I can't say I've ever been to a dealership where they shower you with a gift. Hands down, the experience I had purchasing a car with Manni at Forbes has been nothing shy of wonderful! I would highly recommend buying a vehicle from Forbes. Be sure you ask for Manni!

There is a reason why Forbes Motors has successfully been in business for 70 years. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is very positive and friendly. Everyone involved in the buying process was professional, courteous, and helpful. Even the lights, as you entered the building had an aura that matched the energy of the people inside it. I cannot say enough positive things about this entire experience. Buying a vehicle anywhere else would be a disservice to yourself and your loved ones.

I just bought a fabulous used Cadillac CTS (which was basically brand new and in awesome condition still under warranty) for an exceptional price, from an exceptional dealer and an exceptional salesman. I saw the car advertised on Cargurus so my initial contact was over the phone, plus I live almost 2 hours from Waterloo. Manni from Forbes was very personable and easy to work with right from the start. He took his time to explain all the details, was direct, responsive and went above and beyond to help us secure the car until we could get there the next morning. I went with my husband but he quickly confirmed that it was going to be my car and that I was the person he needed to satisfy. As a woman, I was very pleased with his open, honest, professional and respectful approach.

He gave me all the time needed to test drive a number of cars, answered all our questions, told me from the start that their pricing was not really negotiable on the car I wanted and didn't pressure me in any way. He checked pricing on snow tires, rationally compared another car from another dealer and genuinely wanted us to be happy regardless of whether we bought from him. He followed up with our insurance provider who made a mistake on the VIN#, sent all the details needed for our insurance, arranged for pick up on the date we wanted, showed me how to use some of the key features, set up my personal references, paired my iphone and called to follow up to make sure I was happy with the car. The dealership even gives you a bouquet of roses when you leave with your new car.

I would definitely recommend Forbes GM as the quality of their used cars is very good, staff are well trained and professional. I would also definitely recommend Manni as he was a pleasure to deal with- polite, genuine, knowledgeable, patient and thorough. I love my new car!!!

Would highly recommend. We actually drove through Waterloo as we were going to look at cars and wanted to compare a Cadillac XT6 with another vehicle as we are not local from Vaughan. We here met Graham Miller who met us to show us exactly what we were looking for a rare XT6 with select features. He immediately located one found it on the compound ran to get it, for us to test drive it in a cold winter day. Then to even top this he was the ONLY GM dealer which was able to get me the car in the colour we wanted in the trim we wanted. No other dealer could dealer trade or locate it. Plus he made the deal even more enticing with amazing Costco promotions to get us the best deal possible. Being a person who buys cars regularly as I have a fleet, it s a rare find to have someone who cares as much as Graham.

I must say if your in need of any GM vehicle call or go to this dealership and speak to Graham Miller. We drove from Vaughan all the way to Waterloo just because of the impeccable service. Graham thank you sir, and look forward to future transactions.

Dealing with Forbes Motors was the no stress, no pressure experience I definitely prefer. I will not buy a vehicle when a sales person is pushing too hard for a sale. Doug Moser greeted us warmly and clearly explained what vehicles were available. Allowed us to take the Terrain for a test drive on our own. Upon return negotiation over price and trade in allowance was low key with out any pressure.

Doug has followed up with us since the purchase always aiming to make us happy. First service has not occurred yet however I am confident ongoing maintenance will go smoothly.
