Excellent place to hang out and chill, have some amazing food and even better beer! Beer is usually $4 or $5 per glass and food is priced fairly. A definite must stop if you have time in Winston-Salem.

If you like their beer, it is worth stopping by. The food, off their late night night menu, was prepared well and was tasty. There is nothing extraordinary about the pub other than their beer. I will return here without question , but I will not go out of my way.

Great food and good beers. With a varied selection of homemade brews and craft beers it's a great place to stop in for a meal or just a quick beer or two. The occasional live music keeps the atmosphere here feeling lively. A popular place so don't be surprised if it's crowded, but don't let that stop you from visiting the local gem.

We will not be back. Never have I waited longer to be waited on our to receive beverages that I ordered at a brewery. Also, never have I waited longer to give someone my money for a meal they did not deserve. What a shame, with basic customer service this place could be good, but I won't be back to learn that.

Pleasantly attentive but not intrusive service. Great selection of in-house craft brews, and better-than-expected food. The pretzel with cinnamon honey and beer cheese was a nice surprise. At the time of the visit there were very good deals on 24-pack cases of select beer.

Waitress was super awesome. Didn t catch her name - great drinks and great food. We had a pretzel for the app and the cinnamon butter was life changing. Elote Pasta was very tasty as well.

Great place, delicious food, wonderful service, and they had live music. We sat inside then went outside to find they had tables blocked to comply with Covid 19 distancing standards and every customer complied with wearing a mask.

Great food and beer, both very consistent every time I've been here. It gets pretty loud and crowded during peak times but I find myself recommending it as a default food stop for those who want to check out downtown

After making this review and speaking with two different managers, I am changing my original 2 star review to 4 stars based on the prompt response I received. Although it took from Saturday to Thursday for the extra charges to be credited back to my account, both Whitney and Heidi were professional and polite, understood my frustration, explained why the issue had occurred, and offered a gift card as compensation. I will be returning for this reason.

I went to eat dinner here on Saturday 8/6/2016, and upon checking my bank statement online this morning noticed that my debit card has been double charged. Are you guys in the habit of charging customers twice for the same meal? This is an enormous inconvenience for me and may have to dispute the charges with my bank. I may not ever return to this place for this reason.

Great place for lunch. Menu had a variety of different dishes. And BEER, oh the beer!!! The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. It is just a short drive from Baptist Hospital. Malt Shaker Amber Ale is my favorite. Of course I HAD to take home a growler.

First visit to Winston-Salem and wanted to find a place to eat that provided WiFi. Foothills Brewing fit the bill and the yelp reviews were favorable. The atmosphere was casual and warm with brick walls, wood tables, and plenty of light from the street front windows. I arrived near 7:00 pm and was greeted immediately and seated promptly. There's also outside seating. I planned on counting calories and thought I'd order a Cobb salad but I heard the words "Dirty Southern Burger, medium rare" come out of my mouth. I don't know how that happened, but my mouth knew what it was talking about. Because the burger was topped with pimiento cheese, bacon, and OMG fried pickles! On a buttery, lightly toasted bun. And, yes, it was indeed cooked to order with a pink center. I chose a side of hand-cut fries (sides are extra), which were fried and salted to perfection. I dined alone, but if I was with a friend I would have ordered a flight of beer. The experience of comparison tasting would have been more fun to share. Instead, on the recommendation of a previous reviewer, I ordered a Key Lime Margarita. I was not disappointed. Delicious, potent, and twice as large those served at TGI Fridays, (for example) yet, not overloaded with ice. Nice! Despite having enjoyed an elegant sufficiency, I ordered the triple layer chocolate cake, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect texture, moist and dense, without being too fudgy, and not overly sweet. It was enormous, truly too much for one person, and I could only manage two forkfuls. So, I gave the rest to the family seated beside me. That's a lie. I took it home and had it for breakfast the next morning. Darrian was my server and couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. It was trivia night (Tuesday 9:00 pm), and I regret not staying to play. I'll be back, though.

I stood at the cashier kiosk for an hour and a half waiting for a growler refill. None of the staff asked what I was waiting for. Then I flagged a waitress down and asked for a table. I took my time, ordered food and then this guy looks around for who ordered the growler. Before I could get to the bar he tried to give it to another guy. Total time wasted 2 hours 27 minutes. We only have time and money and who steals either is a thief.

The beers are great, but the food didn't blow us away. If it's standard bar fare you're looking for, you will likely be satisfied though. One thing I'm not a big fan of is just how loud it is in here. I'm at an age I actually want to be able to hear the people I came with, and have a difficult time doing so here. However, if you want to go somewhere and ignore the person you came with while listening to live music with great beer, five stars it is.

Foothills Brewpub at 638 W 4th St, Winston-Salem is a spacious bar/restaurant in downtown Winston-Salem serving craft ales and a respectable choice of fare. Occasionally the venue plays hosts to musicians for live performances. Seating is available on two levels, and at ground level the rear of the restaurant offers more of a "pub" ambience for those who want a bar and perhaps some TV for company.

Service was fast and friendly. Also the food was awesome! I tried the buffalo cheeseburger and my wife had the buffalo chicken wrap. The fries are hand cut and the ketchup is house made.

The female bartender on 4/4 was completely rude and short with us. She did not know how to make any of the cocktails we ordered and when my friend advised her on how to make the drink she became even more short with us. Will not be returning

Food and the beer, both great. Wish I could say the same about the service. Bethany S was our server and couldn t get rid of us fast enough. Just dropped the check on the table and that was pretty much it. Shame because we really wanted to stick around a little longer. We ll definitely be back, just have to make sure we have a different server.

Ive been once before but was with a large party. This time it was just me and a friend. We were seated in the front of the brewpub and was not really busy at all. The hostess brought us waters after a few minutes of our waitress not coming to us. Then she came back a few minutes later and said let go check on her. Well 25 minutes had passed of us just sitting there waiting and decided to leave.

Went here to try their beers on Thursday night. Asked about getting a flight and the bartender said they usually do flights but couldn't tonight because they didn't have any glasses. The two beers I tried ( October Fest and Pumpkin Ale) were good. Didn't have as ny food so can't comment on that.

It seemed like an average college bar. No real complaints, but nothing to rave about either. Wait staff was friendly. Strangely the city shuts down so early, even on NCAA championship game day, the kitchen closed at 10?? I mean, if they don't stay open to serve food, how fun can it really get when your drinking?

Complete garbage. The bartenders are terrible at their job and if you dare to complain they will kick you out. Recently we had a group of 30 in the bar area, when my friends was ignored for 15 minutes trying to pay a check he finally got a little loud. He was immediately kicked out, and the manager got very handsy with him. All he was trying to do was pay his tab. Will never visit this establishment again or purchase their beer. All thanks to some sjw bartender chick who was completely incompetent at her job.

Shrimp and Grits Cakes were awesome. The Festival Express and Hoppyum IPAs were very good. They disinfected our seating area before actually seating us and we're extremely accommodating even after we changed our mind whether a booth or table after they cleaned the booth. Two thumbs up all the way around. My wife wants to travel from Atlanta to try more of their food. I have a couple of other beers to try.

I actually like this place better than the original Foothills for the environment. A food truck was there so we grabbed some lunch. Foothills had their sexual chocolate beer on tap and there was a yoga class that my girlfriend attended. Met her and a couple other friends afterwards to play cards on their outdoor patio. There were several places to sit inside and most groups were all playing different games throughout the inside area.

Foothills has so much potential but to me always falls short. I've been there 3 or 4 times now and I've never had what I would call a good meal. If it wasn't for their beer I would never go there. There beer options are nice and the menus looks good, but the food is always mediocre at best, heavily under-seasoned with every meal I've had there. There are glimpses of brilliance but they always vanish much quicker than they appeared. They have a salad on their menu my wife likes, which is nice coming from a brew pub. I know it's totally up to the establishment but I've noticed a trend in this region with larger parties getting terrible service because gratuity is automatically added. When I know friends want to go to foothills I have a snack before I go, not a great statement for a brew pub.

Depending on when you go and who you get as a server this place is hit or miss. My friend and I frequent this place at least once a month and our experience varies each time. With it being a brewpub, if you don't get one of their beers/mixed drinks, they feel a little offended. There is "specials menu" each night that is completely different from night before, so there are always new options of food. Also, on certain nights, there is anything from trivia (Tues and Thurs) to live jazz to even live bluegrass. A good place to take someone who is visiting from out of town, but let them know it could go either way

Hair in our food. We got disqualified from trivia for not having 2 teams at our table of 7... when then half of them just got there - and other tables of 6-7 only had 1 team at their table. We came for a work event. We won t ever come back.
