Great office, I highly recommend this office and Dr. Fitzhugh. The staff is very friendly, from the moment I walked through the door the receptionist made me feel welcomed, and the nurses made sure I was comfortable and that any of my questions were answered. My feet feel 10 times better! If you have any foot problems go see Dr Fitzhugh he's awesome.

The building is located between redcross and school it is the unique architecture at the bus stop across from wakemed. The staff are super friendly and prompt. Dr.Patel does excellent work and was done with my procedure before I knew it. Was a lil nervous going in but it was relatively painless. Keep up the good work

I'd highly recommend this practice to anyone and everyone. The staff helped me feel welcome and were patient enough to walk me through everything. I really enjoyed the doctors telling me in advance everything that they would be doing and why. There were no surprises and I walked out feeling much better.

The doctors are very professional, I went in for a sprain in my right big toe. A fluoroscopy was done and a non- pneum walk boot was given to support my foot. I received the bill, I was shocked. The people who work in this office are thieves. I was charged a $1150.00 for a 30 minute visit , insurance refused to pay this false bill. The bill was adjusted to $626.37 which l the patient was responsible for. The office charged me $75.00 for a AfO ankle gauntlet I never received, $125.00 for a Strux Us Lmtd never received and a phys/qhp deductible of $61.66. I called the office several times to discuss the bill and the receptionist says " the office manager is not in the office today." The last call I made the receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Screaming over the phone. These doctors are overcharging for their services and charging patients for services not received. I don't recommend this office to anyone. Don't waste your time or money, the boot didn't work and they couldn't find anything wrong with my toe. A waste of money.... do your research before coming to this office.

Dr. Fitzhugh explained my problem using visual aids. He showed me my x-ray and ultrasound to verify his diagnosis. He demonstrated the exercises I needed to do to help improve the condition. Carolyn and Ray who assisted him were very knowledgeable and efficient. The appointment was given promptly as I was a new patient and they were able fit me in and get my pain under control. I would highly recommend this office for care.

At this visit, he referred me to a cardiologist specialist, who informed me of decreased circulation in my lower legs and put me on cholesterol pills. Upon going to my doctor for my regular appointment, I let her know what had been determined. She wanted me to thank Dr. Fitzhugh for referring me.I too, thank Dr. Fitzhugh!!

after waiting in the waiting room for 10 mins. the lady finally called me and asked me for my insurance card, i handed it to her then sat down again for an hour with 6 pages of medical info. paper work to fill out, after the hour i was told that i had to have a co pay of $175.00 or i could not be seen by the doctor. i did not have it so i had to leave. wasted 2 and a 1/2 hour of my time. going and waiting and i did not even get to see anybody. i still have my foot problem. i am not going back. what a way to do business, my insurance would cover most of the visit and they could have either billed me or waited until the next visit for the co pay. i will be looking for a different doctor, now.

I was seen at this office for a broken toe, after being at the hospital and them telling me there was nothing wrong Dr. Stewart took an X ray and found my toe was broken he explained the steps the had to be taken after that and now my toe feels great. I will highly recommend FAANC.

The experience with this office is very unfavorable. I was scheduled last week for an appointment and came down from Wake Forest and found the office to be closed at the time I was scheduled for as that day was closed for doctor surgeries. So why schedule me for that day? Scheduler error I was told. Ok; so reschedule me for next week, which they did for today at 1:00. As I am approaching their office, I received a phone call at 12:35 telling me that they need to either reschedule me again or I can wait an extra 2 hrs to wait for the doctor to return. Obviously, my time does not mean anything and no apology at all. If you value your time, find another Podiatrist office. They need to get Their scheduling process changed. Good luck.

From the front desk to my Walking back out the door the entire visit was a success. The Dr was awesome and quick. I advised him of my fear of needles and her injected the numbing aid quickly. He took care of me and had me on my way. I would recommend him to everyone and I would go see him again.

What can I say about FAANC. More specifically, about Dr. Fitzhugh & his staff! I really appreciated his attention to detail and the way he made sure that he answered all of the questions I had. This was the first time visiting his office but it seemed like we all met before and were already familiar with one another. Dr. Fitzhugh made an unpleasant situation easy to understand and not so hard to deal with. Thank you so much.

I've had no doubt(in all 4 of my visits) that all staff I interacted with made my care and experience a top priority. The wait times were a little more extended than I would prefer but I'd rather wait longer and have exceptional care than to have no wait and have poor care. When it comes to a doctor cutting on my foot, I want to have the best. No complaints here.

Upon learning that I was not pleased with my prior visit or the quality of care I received from the FAANC, the office reached out to me and gave me the opportunity to meet with a different doctor to see if I could have a better experience. The doctor I saw this past time was polite, courteous, and extremely helpful. I left the office with a much better explanation of my problem, as well as treatment options that seemed much more reasonable for the scale of the problem I was experiencing and were also more reasonable from a budget perspective. I appreciate the office reaching out to me and did have a much more pleasant and productive appointment. As such, I am changing my rating from one star to three.

Dr. Fitzhugh and his staff were amazing. They were friendly, gentle, and accommodating. There wasn't a long wait time and the staff made sure I was taken care of and comfortable. Dr. Fitzhugh did an excellent job explaining everything to me. He explained everything from what I was looking at on the x-ray, what was going on with my foot in detail, and how to properly care and maintain after leaving the office. Great patient care and friendly staff

If I documented the details of my experience with this clinic, you would more-than-likely think I'm exaggerating. I have never written a negative review for anything. Looking at situations from another person's point of view has always helped me to let things slide. But I'm telling you, I'm seriously still not sure if this is a legitimate clinic. Is it supervised by anyone?

I came to FAANC based on a recommendation and I've been seen by two different doctors. During and after both visits, I sincerely wondered if I had been at the place that was recommened to me. My experience with this clinic has been unbelievably poor, including wait times ranging from 1-4 hours, unprofessional exams, inattention to the issue (Mind you, I don't ask for much!) and an an attitude that I was "in the way" or an "inconveniece." While the front office staff was "nice," they showed no indiciation that a wait time exceeding an hour was unusual. As for the actual facility...well, it leaves a lot to be desired. If the service had been acceptable that wouldn't bother me at all.

I suggest looking elsewhere for podiatry needs.

Service is not worth the wait. They seem to always overbook and then make you wait and wait. I have walked out the last two times I've gone there because I have waited 30 minutes or more beyond my appointment time without being seen. If you don't mind waiting, I guess they're ok.

The doctors here are fantastic, but so many issues with customer service from the office manager and front desk. I've tried many times to contact Dr. Fitzhugh and I've sent messages, calls, emails and no one will let me speak with him about my complaint. This has been going on for months, I would like just 10 minutes to discuss what I'm sure he has no idea of how his patients are being treated on phone. Last resort today went there to see him and get the paperwork in person after taking off work early to get here, and again cant talk with him. He is an outstanding and wonderful dr. Just can't say the same about front staff and office manager

Really negative experience. First, I waited for 50...

Really negative experience. First, I waited for 50 minutes in the waiting area. No one else was there. I asked at the 30 minute mark what the holdup was and the woman said she was still entering my information. I came with my paperwork done ahead of time. It took her nearly an hour to type it all in!!

Next, the appointment itself. The doctor was very nice, but I didn't feel really taken care of. He took me to take a test and made me walk across the office barefoot. BAREFOOT. This is a doctor's office where people come in for foot fungi and all kinds of infections and I was made to walk barefoot? I asked if I could put my sock back on and he told me not to bother.

I waited for another 20 minutes, as the person at the front desk had taken 50 minutes to enter my information in but never entered in my insurance to ensure I was able to have the test.

After two tests, he couldn't even find the problem with my foot, let along diagnose it. I was given a vague "pain in foot" diagnosis and he tried to pass it along to the hospital for a bone density scan 3 weeks later.

I regret I recommended this place! I pushed my coworker to be seen here. When he called in ERICA told him they don't take his insurance without doing any research! Fact of the matter was his insurance is accepted here after all! After his first initial encounter with ERICA I offered to help find another place. Being the nice guy he is he called back and booked an appointment after ERICA'S confusion. Long story short his visit was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! They told him he had been seen elsewhere before about the same thing. I AM DISGUSTED with The Foot & Ankle Assoc. I convinced someone suffering who had never been examined to seek medical care, and this is how they were treated! Maybe this establishment should go into veterinary care instead. Animals at Veterinary Hospitals are treated better than this!

Run away! Our first apt we sat in the lobby for 2 hours past our time before seeing anyone. We scheduled the laser anyway. They cancelled that appt. WE rescheduled for the laser. We get there and they tell us that because we did not schedule the laser (that is the only reason we were there) it would "be a few minutes". 2. 5 hours later they were still seeing other patients ahead of our scheduled time, a very unprofessional outfit!!!!!

My low score is mostly based on the front staff/receptionists. When I called to make an appt. for the following day the lady said she could fit me in at 4:30p and to be in at 4p. When I got there at 4p, the lady at the desk told me the doctor had some free time and went across the street to Wake Med and said they weren't sure when he would be back and asked if I wanted to wait or reschedule. I was very annoyed by that. The doctor did return, so I was able to keep my appt. My appt. with doctor Stewart was fine and I was pleased with the results. When we were done it was 4:50p and the office closed at 5p. They already had the lights off and were all huddling up and getting ready to leave. In my opinion, I just felt like the staff was not very professional. I will not be returning.

I am so incredibly disappointed and angry. I have something called Charcot Foot; and was treated with a boot that I wore for 2.5 months. Then it came time to order a custom orthotic. The technician showed us an example of what it looked like and when it came in it was totally different. It is huge and doesn t fit in my shoe and the advice they gave is to buy a bigger shoe to go over it. I pay $150 for my shoes so now I need to buy 2 pair? This is crazy. A total bait and switch. And when I asked how much it was going to cost, I was told that they have to bill the insurance before telling me. What a terrible experience. I will look elsewhere and find something better than the junk they gave me.

I had an ingrown toenail surgery in May and it is now October and it s back . I found Dr. Stewart on google and read the reviews he was amazing !!! He number my toe and burned the ingrown toenail off . He made sure i didn t feel any pain and made sure i was comfortable before the procedure. And it was quick and the wait time on a Saturday wasn t long at all !!! I ll be back if any problems occur .

I brought my daughter in on a Saturday, yes Saturday appointment, and the doctor diagnosed and treated my daughter that day for an ingrown toenail. Thasks FAANC for the awesome service!

I scheduled an appointment with this office for a 2nd opinion on my foot issue. I met with Dr. Fitzhugh who was very knowledgeable about my condition. He gave me a different diagnosis based on the exam he performed and I am very confident in his ability. He has a great bedside manner and talks to you like a regular person and explains things so the average person can understand.

The Raleigh office billed a veteran in error. Despite being notified by the VA and the veteran that they had signed an agreement to accept the VA s payment, as final. The Raleigh office continued to send collection notifications. This issue has gone on for months without the billing personnel ever following up. My family would never recommend this office because if you can t honor your agreement to our veterans then you certainly do not deserve to be patronized!

This place is so bad it needs to be shut down, rude staff, no one knows anything that is going on, no parking at all, payment required before you see any DR then you have to wait two hours later before you even see one. I know a woman here who lost her leg because the DR infected her foot and had to be cut off. DO NOT GO HERE.

This place is horrible, hard to find first of all and a total of 5 parking spaces in a tiny parking garage that a honda accord will get stuck in it. I was suppose to pick up a patient today and she was suppose to be readt at 3:15PM and was not ready till 4:30, good thing I get paid by the hour, however this place is very unprofessional and when I called the lady on the phone just said they only have one DR. I will never recommend this horrible place to anyone.

They have the best service ehh taken my 6 year old daughter to get a nail buried two times and Dr Stewart looked at my girl so that she was not afraid during the procedure and was not nervous, She is the best Doc. If I could rate in the negatives I would! Drs were ok but frankly the front staff ruined my experience. I scheduled an appointment on the weekend and even asked the manager if it would be an extra charge and I was repeatedly told no extra charge by both the manager and the staff only to find out that they would bill me later on. I have called more than 3 times trying to reach out to the manager and left a call back number with no luck or a call back, But they put the bs on my credit when no one would even attempt to return my calls. Absolutely ridiculous...

Worst customer relations I have ever experienced with a doctors office. DO NOT use these people if you can help it. I am a therapist and work in The Medical field and this was absurd. The doctor was rude, the front desk staff were rude, and the orthotics that were supposed to come in 2-4 weeks took over 2 months. This practice and doctor is a quack and will try to Bill your insurance for things they did not do.

If you're a big fan of billing and insurance fraud, definitely come to this office to get ripped off. They sent me a bill stating I owed money to treatment that was NOT rendered, and also asking me to pay my co-pay.

Newsflash - they won't even let you into the back if they don't collect your co-pay, so they were really trying to make me pay them another $5 after they already collected it. Then they charged my insurance $270.00 stating that they did a procedure on my feet that WAS NEVER DONE. When I called to ask what in the world was going on, this lady really tried to tell me that the doctor giving me a stack of Betadine packets to apply at home was a procedure.

Stay far, far away. Communication is horrible here. They care only about your money, and they will obviously do anything to take it. I have alerted my insurance company because this is billing fraud at its finest. My next call is to the NC Department of Insurance.

It's been 45 minutes and I'm still waiting. Several people have come in after me and was seen. I guess they are upset because I made a comment about the doctor parking in the handicap spot. I had to take up two spots in order to get my handicap mother out the car. I was told I can't do that. The elevator is dirty and the bathroom is dirty. Everyone coming through the door is complaining.

I visited this office about a year ago. I had no issues with the wait or customer service. However, I was duped out of money. I went if because my right foot was sore and there was a circular mark on my foot. I'd put some over the counter patches on my foot hoping it would clear the issue. I told this to the doctor, and I was reprimanded. He told me that it was acid, and why would I want to put acid on my foot? Instead, he took x-rays and told me the issue was that my my 2nd toe was too long and was causing too much pressure in the spot that hurt. He ordered special inserts for my shoes that cost $500+. He told me to return if the issue persisted and that surgery may be necessary. After wearing the inserts for a little over a month, the issue did persist. I went to my primary care for another issue, and while there, asked if he would look at my foot. It was a plantar wart, for which he told me I could either have him remove, or use the over the counter patches that the SPECIALIST told me I shouldn't use. I had my primary care doctor remove the wart and have had no issues since then. I have a hard time believing that a foot specialist doesn't know what a plantar wart looks like and thought the correct treatment would be shoe inserts.

I was in the office the other day and it was just astonishing how rude the front receptionist was. It was definitely not professional what so ever. She was on a personal phone call and was being pretty loud while taking customers and when I gave her my paperwork, she gave me a very aggravated face. Dr.Stewart is fantastic however, I am not too sure if I could come again due to the receptionist.

Had a great experience at the foot and ankle assoc..the front desk ladies were very helpful in helping me with my information and getting me to see the doctor in appropriate time, the doctors were nice and explain everything so i could understand. I would recommend this podiatry to all and everyone..

Been having chronic heel pain since last year and my PCP earlier this year suggested that it may have been plantar fasciitis but advised that I go see FAANC for a second opinion. I went yesterday and Dr. Stewart was amazing! He automatically knew what was going on, achilles tendinitis, and started treatment for me. Dr. Stewart was great and the surgical tech, Derrick was great as well.

Excellent physicians and staff. They strive to make patient care a priority. They accept walk-ins or emergencies, and if you have surgery, you are given the doctors direct cell phone number, which is a relief especially if you have any problems. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking foot and ankle care!

The doctors are awesome....mainly Dr. Sellars. She is God sent to the earth and to that practice. Now the office staff including the office manager are a different story. I called 3 times to speak to someone to make a payment for my mother who somehow has a balance even though she has medicaid and medicare insurance. Each time I call the person i need to speak to to make the payment is never in. The rude hispanic/latino staff always says for me to call back. Last time I called I stated to them to take my info and have the person to call me. Needless to say that was over a week ago and no phone call. Now i'm calling as I type and the office manager Tesha Burrow isn't in the office. The rude staff now tells me to call the Rocky Mount office and speak to their office manager and make the payment. This is unacceptable for the amount of people the office serves and the community in which the Raleigh office is in. As well as my mother has an EOB that states the office was paid in full for her service. So she has been wearing a boot on her ankle for 2 months for nothing when they could have taken it off a long time ago instead of making her wait til her balance is paid off to be seen.

Disappointingly, Dr. Stewart failed to greet my aunt (the patient) when he came into the examining room. He simply grabbed her foot and began announcing the conditions that he noticed. Once he'd identified the obvious issues, he went into no detail about how they would be addressed. We had to ask pointed questions in order to get any insight into care options. Instead of explaining all courses of actions that could be taken to improve her feet, he omitted explanation of services that insurance wouldn't cover--perhaps assuming we wouldn't pay. Dr. Stewart's expertise wasn't evident because he said so little and failed to display congenial doctor/patient etiquette. I give one star because his interns, however, were very good.

This provider has no clue when it when it comes to customer service. I waited two hours and fifteen minutes for a scheduled appointment. After waiting this period of time, the doctor finally came into the room only to tell me he will right with me. After waiting another fifteen minutes, the nurse came in to tell me the doctor would see me shortly. Prior to arriving at the office, I called to ensure that I would be seen within a REASONABLE time as I had another appointment. The receptionist told me I would only be out of there in approximately thirty minutes. I will NEVER use this provider AGAIN and requested to be refunded after waiting to be seen more than two hours for a scheduled appointment.

This office over charges, gives false information,...

This office over charges, gives false information, and after paying my bill I discovered three days later their office took out more on my debit card than what I was told I was paying. I've contacted my credit union reporting this fraudulent charge and will be reporting them to the State Attorney's office, and Medical Board.

This office is horrible and I would not recommend going there unless you have money to waste. I went in the office in February for one issue and the lady at the front desk stated that my insurance covered nail care since I was a diabetic at first I declined however she kept telling me it was free so eventually she convinced me to do it. To my surprise I received a bill in the mail for $48.00. I went in today and they would not see me because of the balance.Anna at the front desk is not customer friendly at all I am not a child and comprehend very well yet she talked down to me, I will not tolerate being treated in this manner. Finally the so called office manager came to talk to me and after explaining what happened that prompted me to get this bill all she could say was we can reschedule you when you have the money. Please they will never see me again $48.00 for cutting my toe nails is absurd when I get pedicures for $25.00 or I can cut them myself. Do not waste your time or money they are bad news....

tried making an appointment for my daughter, got hung up on 2x and then left on hold for 15 minutes. That's just sad. Girl on the phone didn't even apologize for the hang ups. Couldn't tell you about the doctors, since I was never able to make an appointment.

Everyone from the doctors to the office staff are highly competent and courteous. FAANC is a one stop shop for your podiatry needs as they accomodate anything from foot fungus to wound care to both outpatient and in-patient surgery. Based on my experience with Dr. Stewart and his staff, I would recommend Foot and Ankle Associates of North Carolina to anyone that needs top quality foot care!

I wish I could give them a negative. Not only did I wait for 1.5 hours when I had an appointment at 3, but the nurse rudely came in for the routine questions and taking off my cast and said the doctor would be right with me. 30 minutes later I walked out and the receptionist was eating and the doctor was walking out of the door because THEY FORGOT THAT I WAS THERE. They then asked for my co-pay even though they forgot I was there and had literally locked the doors to leave. I refused to pay and they eventually relented but this place is an absolute joke and no one should have to put up with them. The quicker they go out of business the better for everyone. How these people are allowed to practice medicine is beyond me. If you break your ankle it would be better to just make your own cast than let these irresponsible "doctors" deal with your ailment.
