Unmissable on weekends to look for everything a little at a super good price.
For its monuments ect
...
I've been to many of the flea markets in Europe but I'm disappointed and it's really good here.
If you are enywere in madrid it is highly worth visiting
A beautiful family area full of antique dealers with the best pieces in the world and at a very affordable price!
Interesting visit, although this is not the trace of a few years ago.
Cute to visit even if the stalls often have the same type of objects. The tour is accompanied by very good unknown musicians, really nice to listen to
If it is a place, typical of Madrid, like the bulls of Spain, and this there is what to keep
They go out of their way to assist you, and they don't fool you with what you buy.
The downside is the overwhelm of people especially in summer with the heat, but I highly recommend it if you come to visit Madrid, spend a day in the center of canes taking a walk and knowing where to go that treat you well and perfect!
Very good. Crafts, food, many streets full of news.
You are not from Madrid if you do not dedicate a couple of Sundays a year, if you want to buy .... Better early morning.
I love the place although the main street is the places as in all the rakes, because nothing is cool. The best thing to get lost in the parallel and is where you find the authentic old trail and its treasures.
The pure essence of Madrid. A place where you never know what you are going to find: a unique t-shirt from your favorite group, the best jacket in the world for only four duros, a painting by some unknown painter that the owner doesn't know anything about, a mangante who leaves you without a wallet at the first oversight, the phone of a wonderful girl who reads the tarot cards and of whom you fall terribly in love, or just an entertaining morning having a few beers around the area. You never know.
Iconic thrift market. Full of second hand clothes and accessories for low prices. Also lot of Chinese resale products and brand new clothing for similar prices to any store 19 for a shirt for example. And an extreme volume of people. Be very cautious of your belongings had to have my backpack facing forward
Because there are antique stores. And especially one. Good attention by the owner of the store. Super friendly. Very economical. Buy an old radio. It's going great. All the items I saw. They are beautiful and with affordable price
I love the trail, such a particular place where you find such a variety of things, many people taking their Sunday walk. Now that they have reopened it, it is an obligatory place to have to go
A pleasant Sunday morning activity if you enjoy strolling around. Plenty of stalls with a wide variety of things. You can find almost anything you want here
I was expecting a vintage market, instead I found only commercial and tacky junk. The only nice thing is the shops off the market in the side streets, which still retain vintage things or very fine furnishings.
A nice Street with loads of options & opportunity to explore & enjoy while on a visit to Madrid.
A Must visit!!
A great place to spend a Sunday morning walking between music and antiques
I went on a Sunday morning and it was amazingly lively and active. Blocks and blocks of vendors and musicians. Walk through, check it out, but don't expect to spend much, or anything at all. It's more of an experience and visual, then it is interesting merchandise.
Any sruff to buy. Some nice leather things, lots of usual stuff.
Really worth spending some time to walk through and spend some time on a Sunday
I have not seen pieces worthy of note, it looks more like a bunch of used and largely unsellable junk, as if it were only an attraction for tourists.
Much better is the flea markets in Italy, still true and interesting.
a diversity of products at a good price, you can find everything, clothes, bags, antiques, curtains, hats, everything at a good price and in a pleasant atmosphere, with music everywhere, some flamenco tablao shows and other artists attracting attention from the public
Everything for everyone. I only go on the streets where the antiques are and if you don't want crowds of people, avoid the main streets and the noon hours. Be careful with pickpockets, always carry backpacks and bags in front of you and in sight, if you want to go with children I recommend about before 12 noon. If you like something a lot, do not hesitate to haggle, surely you will take it home. You also have plants.
Beware of thefts !!
Everything for everyone. I only go in the streets where the antiques are and if you do not want crowds of people, avoid the main streets and the half-day hours. Beware of pickpockets, always carry backpacks and bags in front and in sight, if you want to go with children I recommend about 12 noon. If you like something very much do not hesitate to bargain, I'm sure you'll take it home. You also have plants.
Everything very nice with animals, for the children to enjoy ...
Unfortunately we happened on the wrong day. The Rastro market is held only on Sunday, for the rest of the days it is a street in Madrid with many many "antique" shops ... cmq characteristic.
Great market where it is possible to find almost anything.
Google info opened on Saturday :, turned out to be only the next day
Nothing to do with what I expected. Where is the essence of the trail?
It's a very good place to go, you can find anything here.
Absolutely great.
One of the best I ever seen full of nice stuff and huge.
A must see in Madrid.
Nice market with lots of interesting and nice things.
Meeting place for all types of vendors, from artisans, musicians, art, clothing, antiques, etc.
Place forced to visit if you are in Madrid, it works only on Sundays. Incredible prices!!
A huge market with lot of interesting shops, if you are searching a gift you'll defenitely find one here. The atmosphere is filled with music and nice people. You'll also find a lot of bars to have a coffee or tapas in that area. A must see if you are in Madrid on a sunday.
I would take away even the first star, now there is not a miserable position and the stores are not allowed to take any item to the street
Weekly flea market happening on Sunday between 9 am -3 pm mostly selling old broken decorative pieces or cloths. Not recommended to wait for it or extend your stay to see it.
Very beautiful, you can do good business! I advise.
An antique and crowded antique and crafts market recommends coming early in the morning
The most authentic market in the capital.
With hundreds of stalls selling second-hand or new things, it's worth a Sunday stroll through its streets.
Full of people (they took care of the portfolio)
It brings back beautiful memories of my childhood, since my parents bought there the painting that has presided over the house for more than 30 years until funny moments exchanging stickers.
The Madrid Trail is an event that is held every Sunday morning in which some streets of the Latina are filled with street vendors. This makes always been ambientazo and bars around are full. Like all markets are better and worse stalls, as happens with bars. However, it creates a great atmosphere and makes you have a good Sunday plan insured. To nearest metro is the Latin or Puerta de Toledo.
I had not been going for years. Great. Very authentic Live music in many corners. Nice things to buy. Tapas everywhere. Every so often you have to go around. There are many many people.
It is always closed. We have never been able to find it open.
If you are a person who enjoys visiting the markets of the different cities of the world, it is going to be interesting to visit this market that is a tradition for the locals and that works only on Sundays. You can More
Great surprise for those who want to shop in Madrid.
Huge supply of products to buy.
Unfortunately for all of us who love El Rastro, they still do not put all the stalls, except for those in the stores. You have a bad fix.
A place where you can leave your imagination at the mercy of such varied posts. My favorite area is the stalls of antiques, old pots and decoration. You can spend the morning in nothing, very entertaining with excellent atmosphere.
If you want to feel like a local you have to visit El Rastro where you can get anything you need from clothes to household items. Remember to bring cash because many locals do not have a dataphone. If you do not visit El Rastro then you do not know the real Madrid
Large Sunday market that develops in more streets. We had little time and we were on the main street where the very tourist, repeat nothing but antiques or vintage as reported by the guides ... maybe they were on the side streets?
A con .... is not an old fair. It's a Chinese goods fair ... very bad .. and not worth it
Curious, entertaining and there is everything. Less the tulip that I am looking for. It is the crystal of the lamp in the background. There are hundreds of screens but it is not found.
Great deals but very busy. Just be prepared for the intimacy of strangers but definitely worth a visit.
Highly recommended if you are on a Sunday in Madrid. Very good things you can't find anywhere else. I will always repeat.
Wonderful place, where there is always something to find and discover. Place to visit every day of the week, especially its antique times. On Sundays it is something special, but you have to look for the true Trail, that of the searches for that surprising and strange object. We must forget the Rastro flea market.
Cascorro area, lots of atmosphere, curious posts and very good musicians cheering the morning !!
Active only on Sundays, nice market .... huge in size. But in the end most of the stalls with the same things. There is a small part of the antiques that is nicer, the rest of the stands are clothes, handbags purses and longs from the east (?!).
The market is full of people, preferably early, even though this does not help much either. We arrived an hour after the opening and it was already crowded ... The bottom line is to visit but do not come with too many expectations ...
On Sunday mornings up and down the trail up and down the street, what better plan !! With its sardines, peppers and, increasingly common, toasts.
Here you can find everything: antiques, latest trends, hardware, new clothes and coats and clothing from decades ago, paintings, mirrors, cameras, stickers, stuffed animals, jackets, earrings, military clothing, furniture, statues, lamps, bags, ... anything !!!!
There you will find experts of the most hidden things, it is incredible!
If you are new to the trail, I invite you to look for the story of why it is called that and how it has changed, it is amazing!
El Rastro de Madrid (or simply El Rastro) is an open-air market, originally of second-hand objects, which is set up every Sunday and holiday morning in a traditional neighborhood in the historic center of the capital More
The idea is fine but in a city like Madrid the amount of people makes it impossible to move around the market. There are a thousand and one things that are sure to interest you, finding them depends on your own endurance in front of a river of people ...
I liked it a lot, although it is so big that it was impossible to see it whole.
Nice street market to rummage. The main street, however, has little flea market character. I liked the streets around it better. But still a must if you are on Sundays in Madrid.
Without a doubt, even if there is a pandemic, this all half closed, we are addicted to the trace, we carry it in our blood, trace, form life
Really very good especially if one visits on a Sunday
Even in times of covid walking through the trail area is very interesting in this way you see places that were not appreciated so much before
Emblematic site of Madrid. Great variety of positions. You will spend a fantastic day with the charm of the city
Historical place, trail Sundays, walks through the cascorro .. Great street musicians liven up the walks, smell of breakfasts and delicious meals. Posts of all styles, colors, people ...
Muy bien organizado, hay gente pero no amontonada. Vale la pena volver al Rastro
Biggest flea market in Madrid! Lots to see, especially in the vintage section. Good to roam about and take pictures!
Lots of little shops with (mostly) handmade products.
Great fun. Everything from vintage to incredible one-of-a- kind new fashion. If you have the time, well worth the walk around.
Cute ... but nothing of that! Fabulous street artists.
Wonderful:)really cheap and full of interesting objects.
I'm from Madrid. How could I speak badly about such a traditional place? What do you want to acquire? Go to the Rastro and you will find it. Yes, you should know the art of "bargaining" (and I do not talk about football)
Ameno, multiracial, entertaining, economical and suitable to treat outbreaks of xenophobia, I know her for having also spent 13 years outside of Spain
