I did have to be persistent to keep getting back in, I believe that the doctors here are good at what they do, but I think that they are spread pretty thin on most days. None the less, I'm giving a 5 star review solely because of Dr. Julie Highfill. I didn't have a bad experience with the other doctor, but Dr. Highfill took the time to figure out what my issue was and resolve it. A couple of tests were done to see what the issue was, the tests kept coming back stating that everything was working correctly. I was persistent that something was still bothering me, and she found out what that was. Im extremely grateful she did, and I couldn't be happier. Thanks again!

I had a visit for the first time in Cox

I had a visit for the first time in Cox

I specifically asked before making appointment whether my insurance will cover the visit, They assured me " I do not need to worry on that, after checking my insurance details". Then I got my bill stating that "I m out of network, I have to pay everything out of my pocket"

In the end after multiple calls back and forth "They finally said" whatever we say, you always has to check with your insurance first". If they have given any single clue on this , I would have verified with my insurance as I have multiple other opportunities" No discount given and have to pay more than a grand out of pocket.

I will not suggest this clinic esp given the management- as it is such a common thing people usually face and could not help at all....

Very irresponsible management.

I DID NOT APPRECIATE FERRELL-DUNCAN CLINIC CALLING ME ON THE PHONE 3 DAYS AFTER MY HUSBAND DIED ASKING ME WHEN I WAS GOING TO PAY MY HUSBANDS BILLS. I HAD TO WATCH AS MY HUSBAND DIED FROM HEART FAILURE. I TOLD THEM NOT TO BOTHER ME BECAUSE I HAD NO MONEY AT THE TIME. THEY NOW HAVE BEEN PAID . I HOPE THEY ENJOY THEIR MONEY.

I received a specific referral to Dr. Lyford at my request. The website said he was accepting new patients. I called to schedule an appointment, specifically with him. They instead scheduled me with Dr. Ng without telling me. They appeared to be dishonest about the referral, saying the referral was "first available" when I am extremely confident the referral was specific. While Dr. Ng may be an excellent physician, the switch without telling me and apparent dishonesty is intolerable in the medical field. And they didn't seem to care. Obviously, I cancelled and will wait another two months for the procedure with a Mercy physician.

Horrible experience with Janet in the financial office. We'll seek another Dr. because of her. Rude, interrupts and talks over you, denies what was spoken previously. Biggest self-pay scam ever. After expressing regret for choosing a Dr from Ferrell-Duncan at Cox Bone and Joint Center, Janet told us since we are self pay we can take our business down the road to Mercy.

Have great Dr. who is always professional, listens and only prescribes test or medications that is needed. The office people are always wonderful as well with friendly faces. I have not ever had a billing issue with them or long waiting periods to see Dr. on appointment day. If I were to complain it would be how hard it it can be to make an appointment but not always sometimes they can get appointment set pretty quick.

Ferrell-Duncan Clinic was once recognized as Springfield's best. Unfortunately, their standards are in deep decline. If you have nothing wrong with you I'm sure it is a great clinic. It is unfortunate that such an excellent clinic is now supporting substandard physicians and their lack of medical care rather than helping the patient.

Allergy clinic, can't recommend it. The entire appointment was a mess and didn't accomplish anything. Ended up going back to a different allergist. I was also incorrectly billed $600 and can't get it fixed because I've called over and over for months but only one person can apparently take care of it and even though I've left a detailed information with the other staff it still hasn't been addressed and I can't reach the only person that can supposedly handle the issue. That's ridiculous!

I had referral to pain management clinic for a steroid shot in my back. When I got there, the woman at the desk couldn't find me with any of the information I gave her. She got very rude and hateful said that I didn't have an appointment. When I said yes I do at this location, day, and time, she finally sent me to a different desk. This woman found me and my appointment but said I had to go back to other desk. The first woman still couldn't find me and told me to just go upstairs. At this point it had been about 20 minutes, I was having a panic attack, so just ran out crying. I've never had such horrible experience at any cox location.

I'm 23 years old and I've been having chronic abdo...

I'm 23 years old and I've been having chronic abdominal pain with nausea/vomiting and major bowel issues for 9 months. When I was referred to Dr. Jason Haas last year he thought the pain was caused from my gallbladder, even though I was referred from the emergency room, who thought the issue was in the colon area.

I had asked Dr. Haas about testing for parasites and bacteria but he kept shrugging it off saying I didn't have the symptoms. The CT scan, scope and biopsies of my stomach and other pricedures/tests came back normal. Then I had a HIDI scan that showed my gallbladder was working at 78%. In December I had my gallbladder removed, but the the pain and symptoms continued to get worse.

He then did a colonoscopy and said everything was normal. When my parent's talked to Dr. Haas after the procedure, they had also asked about testing for parasites by stool samples, but he again shrugged it off saying I didn't have the symptoms.

He then put me on nortriptyline (a anti depressant that can help with abdominal pain) which I was taking before surgery and it didn't help, and a fiber diet which made my diarrhea 10x worse. He again refused testing for parasites or bacteria and said there was nothing else he could do except get me a second opinion at WASHU in st. Louis. I told him I already had an appointment but couldn't get in until September. He proceeded to tell me there was nothing else he could do for me.

After much research, I went to a new doctor and demanded urine testing, blood work, and stool testing. Within a week I was diagnosed with a UTI and a really bad bacteria called c diff that can cause massive inflation to the colon and many other awful health problems and can be fatal. I've been so miserable for months and in so much medical dept because Dr. Haas refuses to listen to his patients and perform very simple testing to actually find the cause of the pain. He'd rather mass the pain with meds instead of find the actual cause of the problem. I am very disappointed in his work ethics and the money and time I wasted with him.

I read the reviews before scheduling my first appointment with Larisa Sychova s office. I was hesitant yet her schedule was the only NP/physician that worked with the schedule I had available.
I decided to write a review after seeing her at least twice and communicating with her and her office.
Overall, she is very compassionate, knowledgeable, candid and direct. I think sometimes patients want to only hear things they have in their head or have researched themselves (WebMD); she won t tell you what you want to hear. She explains things with depth and expertise. Each time I ve met with her I have never felt rushed. I was heard and understood.
If you re looking for a physician to agree with everything you say and think, she isn t for you.
If you re looking for someone that truly cares about their patients, and has an open mind yet is candid and transparent she s for you.

The worst service and pricing in the area! We took our daughter in to get a tongue tie clipped (because every nurse at the hospital told us to) and they didn't do hardly anything! We spent a total of 5 min with Jacob Smith, MD and after my wife had to help him (a so called "specialist") with the procedure. He was hardly able to fix the tongue tie at all, and barely cut any of it. To make it worse, we received a $700 bill for the visit and procedure (Ozark Mountain ENT charges $143 for the same procedure). After all this, we were told that any nurse could have done this procedure and yet every nurse at Cox kept referring us to the Ferrell-Duncan Clinic and our pediatrician refused to do it. Never giving them our business again!

They will over-bill you for a regular office visit...

They will over-bill you for a regular office visit when it is supposed to be your annual exam that insurance will cover for free if you make the "mistake" of mentioning any issues you're having when they ask you. Then they will not bother to tell you so you get the lovely surprise of a giant bill. Who knew you were supposed to pretend everything is perfect and aren't allowed to discuss any issues during a check-up after having to wait months and months to finally get an appointment?

The FNP I saw, Annie Lee, not only pulled that with the billing but also made a lot of false assumptions about me and prescribed me something as needed that when I looked it up after the fact online everything I read said you had to take it consistently daily for weeks for it to work. This really made me question her knowledge, expertise, and judgment. When I called because 1. it wasn't working, and 2. it had bad side effects, and requested another medication I was chastised that I really should take something daily, and she begrudgingly changed it. A good physician would trust a patient's word and judgment when it comes to something like that because I obviously know myself and my issues better than an FNP I just met.

I have migraines and she prescribed me a medication from a class of drugs that I had tried a few of them in the past and they had not worked, which I had informed her of this during my visit. Once a few months had passed and I was able to try it a couple times and was sure it did not help. I called to change it and she refused to do so without seeing me in person. Nothing had changed other than it just didn't work and she was well aware that we might have to try a few different medications to find the right one, so there was absolutely no reason that it could not have been handled over the phone other than she wanted the money for another visit... I informed the receptionist at her office that I wished to terminate my relationship with her and find a new primary care physician elsewhere due to her billing issues and that I felt she did not listen so it was not a good fit. A few days later I received a letter in the mail from Annie stating it was a mutual termination (which is false because solely I made that decision) and that she would no longer be able to provide care for me. I found this incredibly offensive and unprofessional. I feel the appropriate response would have been to send a letter saying she was sorry to hear I wished to leave, rather than try to act like she was involved in the decision. Even a phone call would have been appreciated. A truly caring physician would at least speak to a patient who is leaving due to being unsatisfied with their level of service to try to reconcile. Instead I got treated like I'm scum who she was glad to be rid of. I will NOT be being going back to that office and urge others to avoid it as well.

The office staff Monique and Stephanie have the beside manner if an antisocial sociopath. The staff promises to make appointments for you 6 months out and now for the 3rd time in a row I have yet to have an appointment. Dr. Nayar is great it's just a complete same they hire barely warm bodies that have no sense of care or understand what stage 5 renal failure is or that it can cause your death. They can't even update Medical records or submit perscriptions correctly. That's why I have been without my meds since January 2017. If you are referred here go by the high turnover in this office and realize there is only one Dr. In this office and sub par office help. You would probably receive better bedside manner from the person asking for money on a Springfield street than what you would receive here. I am consulting an attorney about possible medical malpractice due to refusing me care by my Dr.

Beware of the Code Readers --- and the Management ...

Beware of the Code Readers --- and the Management must take credit for this to be allowed,. ----- the following has been sent to F.D. - please read it through and beware at any Doctors Office!! ---------

After a similar event the previous year where I was charged a regular visit on what was obviously a yearly exam, I was happy to sign a paper on XXXXXXXXXX indicating that the visit I was on was a yearly exam and I understood that some insurance companies do not pay for yearly exams.

After the exam was completed the Doctor ask if there was anything else and my reply was simply arthritis in my shoulder but I will deal with that later

I swear on any oath you want that it was a simple as that.

You will discover that a prescription for Hydrocodone was issued and that was for the occasional arthritis pain.
I ask that when you review these records you will find that I have been previously given Hydrocodone in small quantities going back several years most if not all were on yearly exams.

The argument that the prescription proves a diagnosis will not hold water as the prescription was only a renewal. At no time after that during the yearly exam did the Doctor examine or probe my shoulder. There were no further words spoken on the subject before or after what I stated above. It was a non-issue!

This was the cause of the bill that not only resulted in me not getting the yearly exam but that the lab work which also should have been covered was billed with a co-pay.

I have discussed this every time I have made a payment and each time I have been promised a response but I have not heard anything on this matter.

I have since left Ferrell Duncan Clinic for this very reason. I have also paid all but $30.00 (approx) of this bill.

I will continue to fight this till I get a reasonable explanation as to why a simple statement can result in a substantial cost difference (not all of us are paid medical field salaries). I will also continue to share this event with anyone I have the opportunity to until it is resolved. The principle is the point and all I have spoken to understand this well.

If a response is granted, please include a copy of the paper signed that day as any pages worthy of a patient's signature must be worthy of having in a safe place. No copy was provided to me that day.

Thank you,

XXXXXXXXXXX

tl;dr version: If you're looking for a Urologist I strongly recommend Dr.Schultz.

I have been under Dr.Schultz care since I was hit by a car in 2014. He has listened to every issue I've had and has never made me feel like it was all in my head or I was burdening him when asking for help.

Also as a Urologist one of his best traits in my opinion is he has every visit as comfortable and stress free as possible. The way he talks with you makes him feel more like a friend instead of some cold stuck up know it all doctor that makes you nervous and afraid to bring up any issues because he thinks he already knows everything that is wrong with you and anything else you bring up is in your head.

This was the worse service I have ever had. I m so bored at the moment I decided to write a review because I have been waiting since 11:30 for a scheduled APPOINTMENT. And it is now 1:05. As I have watched several people that got here way after me go before me...then I go to the desk 3 times and get the same ole your up next answer. I would suggest to never come here unless you absolutely have to!

Surgery scheduled in April for May 10th, for my husband who has chronic sinus issues. Go in on May 10th for surgery only to find out paperwork was not summited correctly to insurance. I call insurance myself while waiting for the 3rd worker at the clinic to help us. Insurance approves the surgery just in time for the nurse to let us know its 9:30am and they can't get us in today. So nevermind our schedules and time to make my husband's breathing a priority! Their patients well being is obviously not a priority! Ridiculous!

I am sure that Ferrell-Duncan might have some good...

I am sure that Ferrell-Duncan might have some good staff in it somewhere...however, the doctor I saw there was TERRIBLE. He was SO obsessed with the fact that I have a history of anxiety and panic attacks and getting me onto medication for that, that he could not even give me adequate medical care. The last time I was in his office he actually drove me into a panic attack. This is the one time that I was actually asking for a medication for panic attacks. I needed something to calm me down in the moment because I was undergoing surgery 3 weeks from then for two large ovarian mass that were found on an ultrasound a few months prior. I had a PRN of Xanax when I was 18 and so I asked for a prescription of even just a few pills (since the ONE time I took it when I was 18 I took a only half a pill). The doctor actually told me that if I did not go on the Paxil he was going to prescribe me (and had prescribed to me two other times when I was in his office for legit medical reasons) that I would end up in the psychiatric ward. I tried to explain to him that I did not need a daily medication because before they discovered these two large mass I had my anxiety under control and that I was just in a tough situation right now which was causing panic attacks. (And honestly, what 21 year wouldn't have panic attacks facing what I was facing). The doctor finally and reluctantly agreed to give me Xanax. He also gave me Paxil (which I did not take) and told me that I "BETTER NOT cancel my follow-up appointment" and "NOT to take Xanax everyday" He then said "Where is your mother?!" My response was that I was 21 years old. He said "Well I need to speak with her about this." I told him to feel free to if he was that concerned. When he spoke with her he told her that she needed to watch me because I wanted Xanax. He treated me like a pill seeker in that appointment, when you can clearly see in my chart that this was the first time I had had my Xanax renewed EVER since I was 18 years old.

This doctor seriously saw that I had a history of anxiety in my chart during my initial appointment to get established with him and NEVER let go of it. I never brought it up until that last appointment and EVERY time I saw him (no matter what for) he tried to put on Paxil or send me to a therapist.

I also asked about a drug called Lupron that my gynecologist was considering putting me on after surgery, simply because I wanted another doctors opinion on it. He says "Lupron is a good drug for anxiety but most gynecologist put their patients on Zoloft, have you ever taken that before?" I just starred at him like he was an idiot because...well he was. I had just told him 2 minutes before the three anxiety medications I have tried in the past and Zoloft was one of them. Also, Lupron treats endometriosis and has nothing to do with anxiety. He was so obsessed with my history of a very common mental illness that he couldn't even answer a simple medical question.

His nurse and the front desk were also rude and short every time I was in there.

I will NEVER go back to Ferrell-Duncan for my general doctor again.

However, my gynecologist (the one who did my surgery) is across the street and he and his staff are wonderful! Also, my surgical team at Cox was amazing!!! I couldn't ask for a better hospital. However, I do need to find a better doctor.

Wanted to find a PCP there at FD because I work at Cox and I heard great things about there clinic. Certainly I m a new employee but I need my health checked and of course I don t want to miss out on work. So I set up an appointment with the operator to go on my lunch break. Well of course things have changed because now I m in training at FD downstairs and we can t choose our own lunch breaks. So I wanted to reschedule almost 3 hours before my official appointment time. First of all, the lady who answered the phone didn t even say her name and spoke in a low mannner, before I said ANYTHING, she put me on hold so fast I couldn t even speak. Rude rude rude. I try to reschedule until after my training. She told me I m a no show and said that Annie Lee only has 1pm spots available for new patients. Which is the dumbest thing ever. It s sad that when you try to see a doctor they get so picky about there schedules and want to see new patients or older people at certain times and it s RIDICULOUS! So I ll find another provider. Thanks for nothing! And maybe who ever is at the front desk needs to be a little helpful!

I have been through a host of different test and medications and had no luck with seeing different doctors from Ferrell Duncan and from other doctors and was referred to doctor timothy woods. He by far was blunt and straight to the point and willing to listen and instead of making me feel like my pain and symptoms were in my head as a previous doctor had done. He opted to do exploratory laprascopic surgery and found adhesions and had sliced them off the small intestine and significantly made my pain manageable. Thank you doctor timothy woods for professionalism and willingness to listen.

The Obgyn office staff is rude and incompetent along with their office manager. The Nurse Practitioner did seem attentive, but the physician had poor bedside manner and talked to me and my husband, (who was a medical professional), in a very degrading way, as if we were stupid or a nuisance.

Do yourself a favor, stay away from this clinic, it only leads to disappointment and concern for your care or lack there of.
