RickEtsuko Review of Ferrell Duncan Clinic
Beware of the Code Readers --- and the Management ...
Beware of the Code Readers --- and the Management must take credit for this to be allowed,. ----- the following has been sent to F.D. - please read it through and beware at any Doctors Office!! ---------
After a similar event the previous year where I was charged a regular visit on what was obviously a yearly exam, I was happy to sign a paper on XXXXXXXXXX indicating that the visit I was on was a yearly exam and I understood that some insurance companies do not pay for yearly exams.
After the exam was completed the Doctor ask if there was anything else and my reply was simply arthritis in my shoulder but I will deal with that later
I swear on any oath you want that it was a simple as that.
You will discover that a prescription for Hydrocodone was issued and that was for the occasional arthritis pain.
I ask that when you review these records you will find that I have been previously given Hydrocodone in small quantities going back several years most if not all were on yearly exams.
The argument that the prescription proves a diagnosis will not hold water as the prescription was only a renewal. At no time after that during the yearly exam did the Doctor examine or probe my shoulder. There were no further words spoken on the subject before or after what I stated above. It was a non-issue!
This was the cause of the bill that not only resulted in me not getting the yearly exam but that the lab work which also should have been covered was billed with a co-pay.
I have discussed this every time I have made a payment and each time I have been promised a response but I have not heard anything on this matter.
I have since left Ferrell Duncan Clinic for this very reason. I have also paid all but $30.00 (approx) of this bill.
I will continue to fight this till I get a reasonable explanation as to why a simple statement can result in a substantial cost difference (not all of us are paid medical field salaries). I will also continue to share this event with anyone I have the opportunity to until it is resolved. The principle is the point and all I have spoken to understand this well.
If a response is granted, please include a copy of the paper signed that day as any pages worthy of a patient's signature must be worthy of having in a safe place. No copy was provided to me that day.
Thank you,
