Great service. Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good value for the price.

I stayed here in early September for a work-related trip. The room I had booked for the trip looked extremely clean, and for this reason I was quite surprised to see a bedbug crawl up beside my wife and I as we lay in bed late at night watching a movie. We quickly trapped the nasty critter in a coffee cup and brought him to the front desk, where a night staff named Satyrah?? (unsure of spelling) apologized profusely and immediately gave us the jacuzzi suite for the remainder of our stay at no extra cost. I was still very grossed out, but I really appreciated the treatment we were given. Judging from the overall cleanliness of the hotel, I have to think this was a just freak occurrence, because Satryrah was visibly shocked and seemed almost more outraged than I was by the incident. The jacuzzi suite was also incredibly clean, and my wife and I enjoyed the remainder of our stay. I still am rating three stars, because although bedbugs are VERY disgusting, accidents do happen even in the cleanest of hotels. Satyrah and the rest of the staff (including Gregg, who gave us several great local recommendations) couldn't have been nicer. Overall, the accommodations were pretty solid, especially for the price.

Nice place to stay. The room was clean, and the hotel was quiet. There were a few things that could use maintenence( The latch on the door, and a switch on the lamp.) But overall it was a nice place. Located 11 minutes from the Capitol, but felt like a world away

Decent budget hotel. clean but beds were too soft. Breakfast was so so...warmed up processed eggs, spam-ish sausage, Fruit, yogurt, etc...

Wonderful place to stay; I was there for an extended time because of work being done on my house. The staff was courteous at all times, the bed VERY comfy. They went the extra mile for me and my dog, and that means a lot. I will recommend for folks in the future. Only two complaints--I think there needs to be more parking available; I know this may not be in the control of management, and they were really nice about letting me park near the front when there were no spaces left on a couple of occasions. Other complaint, which I do not blame the hotel for AT ALL: lots of teams come there to stay because of the sports facilities nearby. Most are very well behaved. But on one occasion, I think the parents had no control over their boys involved in hockey. I think the staff was patient and tried to deal with it the best they could. I was reading other reviews and saw one from a hockey parent who was unhappy--my guess is that it's one of those parents who just let their kids run loose at all hours. NOT the fault of the hotel, folks.

Anyway, thanks for making things bearable for me while I wait for the house to be finished.

Check in at the hotel was fast and simple. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. She gave me great directions when I asked about a store in town. The room was a bit small but clean and nice. In the hot tub room there aren't blackout curtains to pull so the parking lot lights are a bit bright at night but it wasn't intolerable for me. We stayed two nights and it was pleasant and relaxing.

While the gentleman at the front desk was nice and very helpful, the rest of the stay was awful. The rooms are extremely small, the carpet had multiple reddish-pink stains, the chair had a massive stain on the seat, the towels had stains, the phone was covered in some sort of gunk, and everything was so dusty I wondered when the room had last been rented. And while I typically prefer soft beds, these were to much. I woke up both mornings with back pain after a restless night with cheap, uncomfortable sheets. The bright nightlight that is unable to be turned off, the thermostat that wouldn't go below 72 despite me setting it to 65, and the paper thin walls that allowed me to hear every footstep the people in the room above me took didn't help my sleeping either. Then there was the alarm clock that had been set to go off at midnight for some reason. Again, the gentleman at the desk when my husband and I checked in was wonderful, but our experience with him was the only good part of our stay.

I am missing the bed!! Super comfy and clean. The staff were great too, very friendly. And, the location is good and quiet. I would stay again for sure, definitely.

We had a great reception when checking in and all the employees we came across were very polite and helpful. Room was very clean and the usual Choice breakfast was good.

One star is even being generous, This hotel was the worst one ever, I checked in (after i had called Friday to confirm everything was ok and that they had a pool) all to find out that there was no pool b/c the manager decided she wasn't going to do her job and get someone in there to fix it, we found out that it was actually broke on Wednesday. so not only were we lied to but the manager also refused to give anyone discounts, they also informed us the manager is the only one who could help us and she would not be in until Monday, but they did tell us someone would be in Saturday to fix it and it would be up and running for Saturday afternoon/night. Well guess what that didn't happen, supposedly the guy came in the afternoon and said oh i need to order a part. so guess what no pool, no discount, nothing. Well, then this takes us to Sunday morning, we go to breakfast where hey guess what we find....NO FOOD! Literally NO FOOD! they had a rush of a baseball team come done and take it all, and as the person who sets it up was cooking more eggs and such, she decided to fill syrup dishes instead of getting out yogurts, bagels, bread, muffins, things like that that didn't need to be cooked. I go up to the front desk and hey guess who i find THE MANAGER (who was not suppose to be in until Monday), i ask her what the heck is going on or if she could help and she informed me no she wont that's her job, then i go on to discuss the pool and all the other minor problems and she literally told me to my face no i don't care and no i refuse to give any discounts, I said are you serious i have a 3 year old who is hungry, along with a 17 year old and myself, Later i actually found out my 2 nephews didn't get food either, but hey guess what her response was oh well she is getting it out, i said people have to go to their events, but hey that's right you refuse to help anyway you can. So in the end, THIS IS A HORRIBLE HOTEL WITH HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! Choice hotels was called and they are giving this same Manager 72 hrs to make it right or supposedly they will step in, I am not accepting 72 hrs, for her to continue not to do her job, so as far as i'm concerned Choice Hotels is just as guilty as she is and i don't recommend any of their hotels.

The heat/Ac unit didn't work in the room. The elevator was broke. And the front desk does not answer the phone. Please do not book here!!!!

Decent price for a decent hotel. One light didn't seem to work though and at various times in the night the place smelled of smoke.

Wi-Fi is hard to connect at times, breakfast is average at best. When our room was cleaned there were no new towels, and the lemon water at the front tasted funny. There is also not an easily accessible water fountain.

Pool not working, but other than that. Great staff

We had someone smoking weed down from us and it stunk I will not be returning

Worst hotel ever! Sinks and tub don t drain. Bathroom door doesn t close-keeps opening. Toilet ran all night. Beds are small. Pool closed. And it s expensive....don t ruin your trip by staying here.

Probably one of the best experiences I've had at a hotel. The young lady working the front desk made sure that we had everything we needed. That's saying a lot considering we had over 25 people in our group.

Room and amenities were satisfactory. Only downside was very low water pressure in shower (3rd floor).

I have the Comfort Inn & Suites a ***** rating based on my overall experience with the staff , the condition the room was in and the common areas . . . Outside the hotel was clean as well and the location is pretty nice I like the open lot More

We've stayed at this location a couple times now, and it's been great both times! The rooms are clean, it's quiet (even when completely booked), and the staff is very friendly! Not to mention the breakfast- it's one of the most varied I've ever seen at a hotel! I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family

Danyell was very helpful wit checking me in to my room she was very respectful she made sure when my key card didn't work she reactivated my room key and walked me to my room an made sure it worked.

I had a warm welcome when I walked through the door. Everyone was very polite. I would definitely stay again!!!

Very dirty hotel. 1st room they put me in had a can of plaster on the sink, no shower curtain, and plaster and screws all over the bathroom floor. I asked for another room and the front desk attendant apologized but didnt sound sincere and got me another room. Second room had a printed off room number taped to the wall and the shower didnt drain. The maintenance guy was at least quick and very personal and professional. The halls were dirty and nasty. Dirt and food littered all over the floors. There were old chips or something on the elevator floor for 2 days straight. Side doors were never closed so it was not very secure. I will not stay here next time I'm in town for business.

My wife and I found ourselves here unexpectedly on Christmas day. We were at a Red Roof Inn on West Saginaw Hwy in Lansing but left within 30 minutes because of how filthy that place was. Anyway, the Comfort Inn was great. We got a nice clean room. The staff was very nice. Free breakfast in the morning. Arby's is 100 feet away and Wendy's is only 300 feet away. Convenient location, right off the expressway. You can't go wrong here.

Stayed for a hockey tournament. Pool is out of order. Got a discount of 15 bucks a night. Rooms are really small. Beds are comfortable. Staff was nice and polite for the most part. It's ok. It would not be my first choice of hotel though.

Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. If my husband and I ever go back to Lansing, this is where we'll stay.

Had an amazing stay here and I definitely plan on coming back if I need to spend the night in the area. The staff are really polite and professional and they even gave me the room with the balcony! They have really comfortable lodging here and they are not too pricey either for what you get. They keep the rooms nice and clean and it's plenty warm too. Plus you can get a room with a hot tub equipped with jets!

I am still trying to figure out HOW this hotel has so many good reviews

1. Asked for early check-in, it was approved for 12pm. When I made the trip here, Melody says that no rooms are ready and "they (whomever approved the early check-in)" shouldn't guarantee early check-in. Well, Melody WAS the one to approve me for 12pm and lied to my face about it.

2. Toilet stopped up and overflowed... Pending status on that.

3. Terrible food! No seasonings used (aside from salt). I know that continental breakfast is never the greatest but this is subpar.

4. Staff only speaks when spoken to. Several occasions of loud arguments amongst staff during my 3-day stay.

5. Clean sheets but room not clean. Toenails and exposed wires going in my room. Musty smell to the room.

6. Loud surroundings! Constant hard walking and toilet seats dropping noises heard. Good sleep is out of the question.

*I wouldn't do it again but...to each his own. This room is too much money for the quality*

Over priced. Not as clean or kept as it use to be. Iv will stay elsewhere next trip in MI

DO NOT STAY HERE-BED BUGS!!
We stayed here in late August. I had stayed here a few years before. It was a fairly comfortable room with a king sized bed, extremely small bath however. The worst part were the bed bugs bite the next day. When I contacted the manager, I simply got an "I'm sorry, we'll let the exterminator know." I have also notified their local health department. Do not stay here or do so at your own risk!

I stayed at this location Oct. 3 2016. The rooms were clean, the evening host was nice.
Oct 4th morning of, went down for breakfast. The gravy was the worst I've tasted, cold eggs, no OJ " the glass pitcher was out. I ask the front desk to use there scissors Samantha the morning host, and for me I could not use their sisters. Her explanation was too many have been stolen. I told her I was a guest and I was staying in room 208 they had my credit card on file. She still insisted i could not brrow the scissors. Her explanation was too many had been stolen. The feeling I received from Samantha was that I was a thief. Before checking out I made sure the motel staff knew that I had left all the hand towels wash rags and towels.

Avoid this place like the plague. Go next door or up the road!

The woman at the check in counter was very helpful and polite. Beautiful clean room.

Easy to find location. The staff was friendly. The hotel and rooms were outdated and could benefit from some updates, especially in the hallways where wallpaper was peeling at the seams. There was one elevator. The room appeared to be more updated than the main hallways of the hotel. It was small and the double beds were not very comfortable as it felt like a very old mattress, but one night at that price wasn't a bad deal. The breakfast was your typical complimentary breakfast and included make your own waffles, bread / bagels / muffins, eggs and sausage, yogurt and cereal.

All was well with the stay, nice staff, clean room, the only complaint I have is I wasn't given the room that I reserved.

We reserved the room over the phone and NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THAT THE POOL WAS NOT IN USE. One of the main reasons we stayed here was because of the pool. They should of mentioned it over the phone or at check in time. We didn't realize the pool was out of use until going to use it. I guess "OUR FAULT" for not making sure.
Rooms were small and even though for the most part kinda clean,hair still in sink and bathtub, smears on the mirror,a left behind sock, and we definitely did not care for the big red blood stain on the floor between the beds...didn't realize our room was a crime scene. LOL HA HA! Our room was right next to the elevator shaft which was very pleasant hearing it all night long going up and down from the children in the room on our other side with parents who did not make them mind one bit. Brats!!!
The sidewalks and approaches outside were full of ice and very slick and did not look like anyone even bothered to keep them clean.The few occasions we left and came back through the side door closes to our room,we could see the young man who was working the front desk outside smoking and not at the desk. Only reason we knew he was working the front desk was because when we went down to use the pool he was behind the desk and knowing we were not pleased about the pool he never even offered us a explanation of why no pool or did he offer us a discount. Totally ignored us. Overall was by far an enjoyable stay!!! I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone. I gave it a one star only because I had to mark one in order to leave a comment.

My daughter was employed at this location, she was 17. She called about her W-2, was given another number to call who then told her to call back the original number she had called. She did that and was given the run around. I then called and spoke with Shay who spoke with the manager Melanie or Melody who said that my daughters name doesn't even sound familiar, as if that's a reason to not look into the situation. I was placed on hold, which in turn resulted in being hung up on. I then called back and was told that they do not have a number to corporate, there's no way for them to correct my daughters address in the system and that corporate will have to correct it once they are returned. How is corporate going to correct anything when I cant get their number and they didn't even so much as ask for her correct information? It was complete chaos while my daughter was employed and it in fact seems as if it still is. They have housekeepers with warrants and felonies being arrested while on the clock and teenagers who are the children of other employees that don't pull their weight and they wonder why they lose their best employees and the rooms are cleaned haphazardly.

Just had an amazing weekend August 3-5, 2018 at the Diamondale Comfort Inn! We had a large group staying there for a local wedding! The staff treated us very Well! Amazingly accommodated our group and went above and beyond to make our stay a very pleasant stay. The hotel and rooms were very clean. Breakfast had multiple choices including banana waffles along with the original waffles and many other items.

Pretty nice hotel. Beds were a little stiff but still not terrible. Nice pool area as well

My fiance works at the comfort in on lansing rd and she takes so much pride in her cleaning, so i know the rooms are clean. She makes all the customers feel welcomed.

Booked a room on Wednesday for Saturday of the same week. Never got asked for an email address, never got a confirmation number over the phone and was rushed off the phone. Figured we'd just go in and it'd be taken care of when we got there on Saturday. Turns out I booked the wrong hotel and my kid wanted to swim at the Holiday Inn in Dimondale. My son and his dad went to check in that Saturday at the Holiday Inn and I realized I had booked the wrong hotel at 145pm on Saturday. I called Comfort Inn to see about cancelling the room. Since I never received a confirmation number or an email with check in time I didn't know about cancellation policy or anything and thought we'd be able to come to an agreement. Samantha, who I'd talked to earlier in the week to book the room, informed me I was an hour before check in and would be charged for the room since cancellation policy was 24 hours. I told her I was never asked for an email or got a confirmation number. She told me she was the front desk manager and it was a part of her job to do that. I told her Well, she forgot to and no one got an email and we did not receive a confirmation number. How can we cancel in time if we don't know the cancellation policy? She told me that 24 hours was standard for hotels. No, some hotels say within a few hours before check in. To which she responded Yes, you're an hour before check in. Again, how do I know that if I never got told when check in was and never received an email?! She told me I'd have to take it up with the general manager and she would be in on Monday. I left a message for the general manager. It's Tuesday after noon and still have not heard back yet. And yes, they charged me for the room!! Ridiculous. I will be calling in a few minutes and getting this taken care of.

Door didn't even lock! Water pressure sucked. Fridge didnt work had to beat on it to get it goin. Pool was closed hot tub was closed. Only reason it got 3 stars is because the beds were comfy and it shared a parking lot with Arbys and Arbys is awsome.

No black out shade for the room windows, so the parking lot lamps light up your room all night to where you can't sleep. Will forgo my any other business stays at choice hotels.
