Booked party got there and they didnt let us know pool closed. Disappointing for 6 yo

Location was nice, easily accessible. Rooms were spacious and service was excellent. Very friendly.

I have stayed here many times and before i had many problems but after new ownership, everything is getting better and best. Pool is very attractive..!!

Ceiling leaked right on 1bed. From ceiling u could tell this was an ongoing issue! Had to go to another hotel as this one was put of rooms....no refund!!!!!!

Not the best hotel. My team stayed here for 5 days. Untrained staff, management inattentive are just a couple comments. Breakfast ran out of food frequently. Saturday am no food and not replenishing and it's 8am. Issues with cleanliness of rooms as well.

Everything from the bed to the carpet is updated, clean and comfortable.

Room was what you'd expect. Staff was helpful when there was a discrepancy with my room rate. Glad they put my receipt under the door in the morning.

Very nice place to stay. Clean friendly staff. Only issues i had were it was in the middle of nowhere. And the rooms are so small.

DO NOT expect good service! We booked here for our wedding and had over 20 plus room nights booked. It was a disaster from the start. I had to physically stop in to talk to management about booking a block of rooms because they wouldn't answer their phones. When I finally got a hold of someone who worked there it wasn't the sales manager or GM so I had to wait for one of them to contact me back. It took so long it delayed my wedding invitations being mailed. When we finally got that taken care of their pool broke. As the pool was a big factor in our selection of hotel I was concerned it wouldn't be fixed in time. I understand they can't control when something breaks but they had over 6 weeks to the wedding to get it fixed ,(the wedding was in February not a very busy season for hotels in Lansing Michigan), I would call every week asking for an update and was told something different every single time. Never once did a manager contact me or even bother calling to inform me of the broken pool my guest did as they called to reserve rooms. As it turns out they promised the week of the wedding it would be fixed and it wasn't. As a comp to the huge inconvenience they said they would wave the cancellation fee for anyone who wanted to switch hotels. This was the Friday before my wedding!!! No one has time to re-coordinate over 20 rooms the day before a wedding!!. After the chaos of the pool I heard from several guests their reservation was messed up, they charged rooms to wrong cards and kept saying their system Was down and people waited for 2 weeks to reach someone to reserve a room. While I was dealing with this hotel I heard their system was down several times and promises that were not kept. There was 2 reasons we chose comfort inn 1) the pool for the kids and 2) the shuttle service. Their management team very promptly reminded me that if we didn't get 20 rooms booked it would cost us an extra $130 for 6 shuttle services less than 4 miles to our venue. Once we did get 20 rooms booked and the shuttle was free, Samantha, their sales manager told me rather rudely the Friday before the wedding that if we need more than 6 shuttles we would have to pay for them at 30 bucks a pop and that "it was stated in the contract that way" this came after she called to tell me the pool was NOT working 24 hours before my wedding...service was terrible do NOT go here or stay here. The reason for the 2 stars vs 1 is because the night shift counter lady was very relaxed with us when we returned to the hotel at midnight the night of the wedding. Please do yourself a favor stay somewhere else!!

Everything in the room was moist. There were hairs in the bed, which feels like an old pull out mattress. Couldn't walk around without shoes because the carpet was sticky. Dead bugs in the bathroom. Just go somewhere else

Comfy beds with good pillows, decent breakfast, nice service. Not exceptional, but no significant problems.

This was a great value for the money. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Big change in last few month, newly renovated rooms looks so different in great way. I recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Lansing area. Definitely where we will stay next time.

The first visit was amazing, my second was aweful. There was hair all over my bed and the jacuzzi tub was disgusting and we were unable to use it. I'm mad because we paid extra for that reason and when I made a complaint all they did was clean the tub right before we were leaving.

Ya get what ya pay for. Pipe broke in lobby on new years day, flooring ripped up, pool closed, hot tub closed, staff is minimal. Beat up hotel, rooms are basic with clean sheets and shower. Needs a lot of tlc and a deep cleaning, but it is half the weekend rate of the holiday inn next door.

Clean room hot tub not working so we didn't try the pool. Breakfast was the standard. Hard to work the remote at night.

The entire staff was so very kind and accommodating to my needs. I had booked the breakfast room for my granddaughters birthday party and they allowed me to move tables and decorate to my liking. My room was clean and comfortable. The refrigerator didn t work but right away they got the maintenance gentleman Eric to switch it out. He was also very friendly. From the manager Shay to Chris, Melody, Jennifer and the very nice ladies in the kitchen. Breakfast was really good. We all, kids and adults alike enjoyed the pool. Price was so reasonable, even though I live here in Lansing, I will be booking nights here this winter to enjoy the pool breakfast and peace and quiet!!

They totally screwed up our reservation!!! The sink was in the room, everything looked very dated. I would not recommend staying there.

The staff were great but I hated the bathroom layout in the suite where the sink was exclusively outside the bathroom, give me at least two in the suite. The bathroom our first night in the smaller room on the firsr floor was significantly larger and nicer.

I had a peaceful night of rest here. Clean, comfortable rooms. I checked in late, and I will say the front desk clerk seemed irritated I was there.

The hotel was nasty the pool was like 90 degrees like the hot tub. The pool and the hot tub had a lot of dirt going around it the pool was not clear at all. The rooms were small and the beds were nice but the bed frame had dust all over the place. the staff were nice but the breakfast was not the impressive and when you took a shower there was a light timer and also that when you took a shower the tub filled up with water water leaked out of where the water came out of.

Paid $150 for 1 room for one night and the room was very small. The breakfast was horrible. The Jacuzzi didnt work. Wont be returning.

The hotel, breakfast and everything is wonderful there, just that the wifi internet is not working for an Android user at the hotel any more...
I have stayed at the location some 30 times in the past couple years. The internet problems have started a couple of weeks ago.
It takes some 10-15 minutes to connect an android device to the wifi, then the internet connection is interrupted after another 15-20 minutes.
The internet service support is like "ohh, you have connected now, great, have a good day".
Nice job on the wifi, I will stay elsewhere meanwhile.

We show up for go to a dinner cruise birthday party and are staying at this hotel. We called weeks in advance to be sure to have a shuttle to go back and forth and were assured we were all set up. Now they say they have nothing scheduled and there is nothing they can do. The front desk girl who was stuck In the middle called her manager Melody Tupper who told her that she will not be in until the morning and can talk to us then which is extremely unhelpful when the shuttle is for tonight. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Very Clean room.Comfortable be and pillows. quiet. Im a coffee drinker in the mornings, so I judge the coffee in hopes i can drink it. The coffee was superb....no need to drive out. And they had bacon on the breakfast bar.

The guy at the front desk spoke so fast his words ran together on top of an accent it was a struggle to understand what he was saying with his mask on his chin. When I got to my room things were only partially wipe down and the trash cans needed to be emptied. This will be my last and only stay at this location. Great covid-19 response!

Okay hotel but needs updating. Location is good for restaurants and access to the highway.

The rooms (especially the bathroom) were a little small. However the hotel was very clean. Nice continental breakfast complete with waffle machine.

Good service, good rooms, comfortable beds..the cable is somewhat confusing to use....but that was my only down side....great place to stay...just really off the beaten path as far as restaurants nearby goes...also....I accidently left the Beats that my wife gave me when I checked out....after not missing them till that evening, I called, theyy located then in about 10 mins and held them for me to get then.....great customer service..

Location is convenient to I96. We called to confirm they had a working pool before booking and were assured there was, but when we checked in we were told the pool was not working, hasn't been working for some time and was not going to be working any time in the near future - that was not the only issue with our stay, but it was easily preventable and something they could not remedy. The staff was courteous and helpful otherwise, but they did have to move our room due to a clogged shower drain, and we didn't have time to switch rooms before having to leave. It was a very frustrating experience. I don't blame the hotel for a clogged drain after the last guest, nor for us not leaving ourselves enough time to switch rooms and shower, but the net result was an extremely unsatisfying stay.

Me and my uncle went to this hotel prior to us going to the Oldsmobile Nationals Homecoming. The hotel was nice and clean, and the lady at the front desk was nice. I would come back here again

The sheets were dirty, more expensive than it should have been. A/C leaked. Concierge at check was as rude as coude be. Bed was to big for the room, bareley any walking space. Didn't spend the night.

This hotel is a hidden treasure in the middle of nowhere that I was not expecting to find! We weren't there for very long to enjoy it, but it was great! We had a clean, well-maintained room with a refrigerator and microwave; free breakfast that included sausage, waffles, and eggs; and they have a pool. We will definitely plan to stay here again

I stayed here for one night. They are starting to up date. bed was big and comfy but the room was not at clean as it should have been...when I got into the room there was a battery and old shaving head on the floor under the desk...made me think they didn't vacuum it before they re rented this room out to me...it was quiet and I had a nice view...but they are under construction which sucked. Maybe when construction is done the place will be more nice and maybe kept up on cleaning!

Nice rooms, very courteous/professional staff, nice amenities such as breakfast, guest laundry, whirlpool in the room, fast internet, pool, shuttle service and quiet. They have done a great job in making a rather horrible weekend much more bearable and for that I am thankful. I hope never to be stranded here again but if I do...........I know where I will be staying.

We have been staying at this hotel for years but the quality has been declining. This last stay we arrived late after a long drive and bad traffic. There was no one at the desk but a phone and a sign to call. That phone did not work. I called from my cell phone and never got an answer after 5 minutes of ringing. Once we finally found the desk clerk, who was outside smoking and on her cell phone, she insisted on charging us again for the stay even though we prepaid when we made the reservation. I have yet to argue with the manager about that issue. They have also removed the towel rods from the bathroom so there is no place to put your towe while you shower other than the top of the toilet. That is not my preferred place to put the clean towel I plan to use.

Nice bed, ok staff- only seemed half interested in issues, decent/cheap breakfast food... the room I reserved almost a month before was not reserved so I was not in the same block as the wedding party i was a part of. I was upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite so that was nice.

Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast has a variety of choices (some days may have repeated hot items) but if you don't desire what is cooked. U can have cold/hot cereal, waffles, fresh fruit, juice, milk, coffee, tea. Bagels, toast, boiled eggs. No WiFi issues and plenty to watch on tv!

It is outside of the city but has good service. It was $80 a night for a double twin bedroom, which is really good but we had trouble with the breakfast.

Rooms were okay. Breakfast buffet was nearly out of food and there was no coffee.

By far, this was my worst hotel experience ever. I have stayed at many hotels including a Comfort Inn over the 4th of July weekend in where I experienced stained bed sheets, someone else's hair in the tub, on the toilet, in the sink and on the counter. Even after that experience, this one takes the cake. Due to a work engagement, my boss made my reservation at the Comfort Inn in Dimondale Lansing Michigan. I had reservations about staying there due to my previous experience with Comfort Inn but I went with an open mind giving them the chance to redeem themselves. They failed with an epic explosion. I was put in a room on the 1st floor where I quickly learned that the person above me had SIX small children under the age of 10 crammed into one room. The kids continually jumped off the beds onto the floor with such force that the TV was shaking. When I called the front desk about this issue, I was blown off by Greg since he did not want to deal with it because the hotel was booked at a 100% that night. The noise continued the next two days throughout all hours of the day and night. I placed mo less than EIGHT phone calls to the front desk about this issue asked to have my room changed on THREE different occasions to no avail. Finally, on the fourth request and the fourth desk clerk, my room was changed at 11:30 pm THE NIGHT BEFORE MY CHECKOUT. I know... why bother at that point. Right? When I called Choice Hotels Customer Relations line, they offered my 500 reward points to go forward my next stay even though I was adamant that I'd NEVER stay at one of their hotels again. Not only did they fail to address the issue at the hotel but corporate failed to make this right with me as well. The customer service was non-existent all around in this situation.

Very convenient, very friendly staff, parking lot was super clean, and i also liked that they just allowed smoking at smoke stations.

I stay here for business purposes two times a year. I have never been disappointed with the property, the room, the food, or the staff.

It was a great experience for me and my volleyball team. Very clean rooms, nice common area, good breakfast. Will recommend it for next year!
