Nothing extravagant considering the cost of admission. $ 55 to park??Adult beverages were on the small size and extremely over priced. $25 for Somores??? This should be for families to experience joy and happiness during the holidays. Unfortunately, Princess of Scottsdale believes its an opportunity to maximize profits for end of year bonuses!!

The service at the Fairmont Scottsdale is among the best I have ever received. From the moment you check in to the moment you check out, every single staff member was courteous and went above and beyond. The rooms are beautiful, but honestly I would choose the Fairmont over anything else based on the service.
We went for a Spa day. Spa service was good. Clean beautiful facility. We attempted to have lunch at Ironwood Grill. First I ordered a Salmon pasta salad. The pasta was almost raw, definitely unedible. They replaced it with a Waldorf salad. The most boring Waldorf I've ever had. Definitely not food quality I would expect from this hotel. The manager was very nice and apologetic. We would try them again because of the service and hope they have resolved things by then.
Great resort. My third time back. Though for a high end all inclusive resort like this, I wish they would just add a resort fee so that we don't have to tip everyone, all the time.
My wife and I took my daughter here to meet Santa for the first time and ride of some of the rides. Really loved the train ride and seeing all the lights, which is my daughter's favorite thing right now. Overall the resort was lovely and spruced up well for Christmas. Would definitely like to staycation there.
This property is beautiful. There is several pools, water slide, a Laguna, outdoor seating for restaurant and bar with many fire places, and some of the rooms overlook Laguna and golf course. The gym is bigger and better equipped than many hotels and resorts we have stayed at. They have a resident dog that you will meet in the lobby. He's gorgeous and kind. We enjoyed meals at the Ironwood and Bourban Bar which was very enjoyable. I left this last time feeling a bit like the staff service and friendliness could be improved. It was either mediocre or a bit unprofessional. This is based off my experience with the front desk, food servers, restaurant hostest, and valet. I would like to elaborate on the service that did not sit well with me. We called for our car to be pulled up since we were checking out. Once we stepped out, no one approached us or greeted us so I walked towards my car then a valet staff stopped me to ask how he can help. So I said I'm picking up my car and handed him the ticket. He took it to the desk for a few minutes then came back to me and asked if I saw my car parked in eye sight. This felt rude and unprofessional. So what was he doing when he took my ticket and left me waiting? What's the point if the ticket if he couldn't get the keys and identify the car himself. When I stay at a Fairmont hotel the valet and entrance staff are usually very attentive and friendly. They are constantly greeting guest as they come and go. They are usually asking if we need them to retrieve a car or call a car service for us. The subpar service I have received here compared to the past and other locations could be attributed to the high volume of guest during this time of year. It's Christmas and they have very elaborate and beautiful decorations.
We have been coming the Fairmont Princess for about 6 years now. We have thought about booking other hotels in the area, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, but the exceptional customer service, the great pools, the Gold Lounge, and overall feel of the property have us keep coming back.
Although this hotel's had its best years and it lacks renovation, it has it's own spirit. You can feel special in this place. I found there most willing and most helpful staff ever. I recommend you to book your stay with breakfast, which is ART on its own!
Went there for Christmas at Princess event and had a great time! Ferris wheel, build a bear, hot chocolate and marshmallows around tabletop fireplaces, carousel, polar ice glide (aka tubing), Princess Express "train ride", photos with Santa and a bunch of Christmas trees. We only enjoyed some of it but great time was had by all. Recommended!
I was very disappointed in the room quality. It looked as though the rooms had not been updated for years. We had ants in our room and even after they came to spray, they were still seen near our desk. For the inconvenience, we were given a 50 dollar resort credit. Pretty sad given the worry of having ants in our bags too. The resort pool and the staff were very nice. I would think a AAA 5 diamond resort would have nice rooms for 600 or more a night. Would not stay there again! The Holiday Inn Vacation Resort next door had much nicer rooms and were half the price!
Beautiful setting on 65 acres of lovely landscaped grounds and pools. Christmas is especially wonderful, with over 2 million lights on the many displays.
I was recently at the Scottsdale Princess for the Christmas at the Princess event. There was a lot to do and the food was great. The ice rink was busy on a Saturday night but that was to be expected. Overall, the experience was amazing and I would highly recommend.
Literally rounded up my kids cut their wristbands off and said they would call the cops if they didn't leave immediately. Unbelievably poor service for that kind of money. I never would have changed my reservation to 2nd thru 3rd from 3rd to 5th had I known this would happen. Several other families were rounded up and escorted out as well.
Maybe tell Charlie Christmas (the guy running the kids train ride at the Christmas event) to calm down and remember this is about the kids and Christmas, and not his ego or power trip. He was pretty aggressive tonight and made a lot of people (including kids) uncomfortable with his drill instructor like attitude. We come this time of year each year, but we will probably reconsider next year. Don t remember this experience last couple years, but there s no reason to be aggressive towards guests.
Great place to stay and get away and enjoy your down time, staff are always friendly and helpful. You won't be disappointed with your choice of this establishment.
I went to the Fairmont for a massage and a relaxing bath and the whole experience was amazing. The people were great, the atmosphere and the service was awesome. If I could do this over and over again I would.
The Fairmont Scottdale Princess and the Bourbon Steak Restaraunt deserves a 6 star rating!! We have traveled far and wide eating at 5 Star restaurants. It I could give The Bourbon Steak Restaraunt 6 Stars I would! The food and staff were all top shelf and world class from A-Z. We celebrated our 24th anniversary and couldn t be happier. Don t hesitate if you want something special the Princess it the place to be!! Thank you everyone- Mike n Melanie
We went to the Halloween party and things didn't go so well, however the manager offered to comp us a stay at Christmas time with all the kids and we accepted. Man, did they roll out the red carpet! Greeted the moment we stepped out of the car, skipped the line - shown to our incredible suite with champagne and kids treats upon arrival. The room was enormous with beautiful views of the duck pond just a few yards from the patio. The rides, decorations, skating rink, train ride, light show, etc was absolutely stunning. We've never had a more enjoyable stay with all the kids. They definitely earned a customer for life.
Wonderful fireworks and big screen movie for July 2-4th Event! Beautiful pools, delicious menu items, kind wait staff, peaceful spa experience. I ve really enjoyed being a spa member and also staying at the resort when my family is in town!
Requested (and paid for noon check-in) arrived at noon and the room wasn t ready until 2pm. The front desk manager Sidney was extremely rude and unwilling to do anything. I even called that morning to confirm the room was ready. She told me to just wait and that she wouldn t do anything to speed up the process. Once our room was finally ready we spent the first hour with a guy trying to repair the light in the bathroom. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and was very disappointed by the service the manager Sidney provided!
This is a Fairmont. It is what you already know it is. It s not cheap, but it s accommodating. Numerous pools, the villas are nice, the restaurants are amazing. I haven t golfed there but it has a reputation as one of the greats and hosts TPC in February. They do a Christmas tree lighting around Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday season and have a huge tree in the middle of a pond. To add to it, they do projection mapping on the side of the building with a Christmas themed video synced to lights and music. The AV team is pretty top notch. Fourth of July they do a concert on the lawn. It s great as well. Overall this is a great destination or staycation. Whatever your stay, it s a great place with plenty of North Scottsdale amenities just minutes away. Enjoy.
I have been all over the United States and several other countries, and Disneyland. I have never seen the excellence of customer service, happiness of guests, impecable rooms and grounds. The restaurants and shops are a pleasure to visit and shop, service excellence! A must go and stay for everyone, especially families!!!!!
Other than the heat in June, the resort was amazing. The casitas have amazing space including living/ dining area, fire place, balcony, separate living suite with dressing room and separate bath and shower. The pools and restaurants are amazing as well. And golf is right next door.
Absolutely stunning! 4 large pools and one small pool all decorated with natural plants trees lights wildlife. Amazing experience especially for kids, groups, and has two giant ballrooms with a vast amount of meeting rooms inside. So huge and so beautiful words can't describe. See it with your own eyes!!
The entire stay was perfect. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless, and the housekeeping staff were efficient and professional. Had a great meal at La Hacienda, and met a terrific server-he made our experience very enjoyable with his great personality. The pool was great too with lots of happy families all around us.
Pumpkin nights was decorated beautifully and there were a few activities for everyone to enjoy but I couldn t help but feel slightly disappointed in the price of admission. From what I understood it costs $60 for 4 wristbands which seems a bit steep. Unfortunately there are no discounted prices for those such as couples that only need 2 wristbands. As mentioned in other reviews social distancing is pretty much out the window here as this location attracts large crowds. Although the majority of them seemed to wear and keep their masks on there were also quite a few who could care less about them.
All I can say is that from beginning to end this has been BY FAR my FAVORITE staycation EVER!!! We booked the hotel on Groupon and felt like we snagged a pretty sweet deal. That was just the beginning! We stayed 2 nights and as soon as we checked in were greeted by the kindest people at the front desk. They gave my little guy a cape and a mask and an activity book filled with activities and a scavenger hunt! Then as we walked through the lobby we were greeted by Captain America and Captain Marvel. My 5 year olds mind was blown! This was already the best hotel ever. The next day we woke up and checked out the local fishing derby. My son had never fished before so Ranger Rick gave us the lowdown and we spend 2 hours trying to catch a catfish. Spoiler alert- bring your own bait and a fishing pole and you will catch a TON!!! That day we filled out schedule from the foam party by the pool, to movie night in the pool, to mermaid and pirate story time, and the superhero party at the beach! I mean I could not get over the amount of activities they had for the kids. They were full of them which made it a vacation to remember. Seriously, my little guy is STILL talking about it and can't wait to go back. Honestly, I can't wait to go back either! We checked out one of the restaurants on property as we had a $50 credit that came with the Groupon. The food was delicious!!! Overall, the rooms were huge, the beds were comfy, the activities were great, the pools were refreshing (even in the middle of August). There is NOT one negative thing I can say about this place except for the fact that we did not want it to end. We will DEFINITELY be back and hopefully sooner rather than later!!!
Very nice, quiet, elegant and spacious establishment. My visits have always been pleasant. The times I have visited this location have been for work confrences or events.
Wonderful hotel and beautiful grounds, all the valets were kind and knowledgeable and most of the desk staff, with only one memher having the slightest hint of condescension (likely because we appeared poor) she earned them a four, but it was still exquisite!
