I've been attending events here at the Fairmont Olympic for many years and it is always been amazing the staff has been helpful and will go above and beyond for any requests that you have. They also make delicious honey from their own bees on their roof. Though I have never stayed at the hotel I have heard nothing but good things from all my friends and Associates that sleep there.

We had a 3 night stay this January at the Fairmont in Seattle. It's a beautiful hotel that I felt a little out of place in, as most other visitors were a lot older and more well off than I looked! I was blown away by the interior of the reception, dining and function rooms, so definitely a 5 star building. We were put on the 10th floor and our room was lovely. Really nice size and cleaned regularly. Our one small complaint with one set of cleaners was that they moved our bags and dirty laundry - this may not bother other people, but I'd left my suitcase open with the sections unzipped, with dirty laundry in a small pile next to it for me to deal with. When we returned one day the cleaning staff had put our laundry onto laundry bags (off the carpet) and also closed the cases and put them on luggage racks. This isn't the end of the world, but it meant everything in my case got thrown around as I'd left it unzipped. We also thought it was kind of odd that staff came into the room in the evening, as we'd gone out for the afternoon, came back about 6pm, to find that the blinds had been shut and the cushions on the bed put away.

In general however, the room was very clean and tidy, the bathroom was great with a huge shower, and I found the bed to be very comfortable. I would also add points as the bedside tables had outlets and USB ports in them - so no searching for an outlet behind the furniture here.

I was a little disappointed in the wifi - I'm from the UK and so was reliant on wifi to look things up and connect with home, but at 10 floors up we were too high to get the 24 hour free lobby wifi, and room wifi was $16+ a day, which seems a lot when you're in a 5 star hotel. Since we spent a lot of time out in the city this wasn't the worst thing, but it meant relying on my partner a lot for tethering and racking up his data usage when in the room.

We had breakfast on our last morning and this was very nice, if a little overpriced. The staff were all attentive though and it was cooked very well.

The doorman (who we saw a lot as we went in and out) was very nice, just as a little call out!

I do wish we'd stayed long enough/left some time to visit the pool and leisure facilities, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance.

I would recommend staying here, definitely, wifi is the only thing I would be considerate of in case you were expecting it to be free in-room as I was.

Beautiful hotel. The main floor is incredible and classic. We had drinks at the Terrace Bar. The bartender, Micheal, was very entertaining and made amazing cocktails. All the staff were very professional and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back.

Shuckers is fantastic. Food quality is what you paid for. The service is very good. One down side is if you'd like to sit at a table rather than the bar, you have to call in to make reservation

I did not actually stay here, but the friends who did enjoyed their stay. Comfortable rooms, plenty of amenities, and a pool they very much enjoyed. Issues I know they had were, 1) Price. Luxurious hotel with a luxurious price tag. 2) they were charged ahead of time for all items in the minibar, and then we're reimbursed afterwards got items still remaining. This was an additional several HUNDREDS of dollars to their stay they had not anticipated. 3) expensive and less than stellar room service. $10 for a handful of cold french fries. All things considered, it is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location to enjoy the city, if you can afford it.

I had issues with our 2-day stay. In my opinion the hotel management acted rather cheaply in that they never mentioned our President's Club Rewards certificates, gave us a room that was hard to enter and leave as there was a huge piece of furniture just inside the room. It held the minibar which is obviously more important than guest safety. I thought the Georgian restaurant was overpriced for the quality of food served. Rather tasteless. We were supposed to get an amenity from our travel agent and my husband had to remind them continually, it arrived after 8pm the last night. The bed was comfortable. I just expected better for $460 a night.

I come for the Teddy Bear suite every year. This year was as lovely as always with the added surprise of a giant gingerbread house in the main entry of the hotel. They really know how to make the place look festive for the holiday season.

Great hotel. Has a lot of amenities, as hope of such class should have. Rooms are quiet and clean.

Breakfast is paid separately and is pretty expensive - about $40 a person. Keep it in mind.

If you really want to indulge yourself...this is the place. Sumptuous comfortable bed, nicely decorated spacious room with comfortable furniture. Marble shower stall. Great aroma from the bath products. An incredibly comfortable and welcoming lobby, classic architecture, high ceilings... Staff that go above and beyond to remember your name hours after you meet them, and obviously care a lot about the guest experience.

Beautiful place with amazing service and a lot of histry AND a great location. However, for three times the price of a chain hotel, the rooms themselves weren't much different than any Holiday Inn. I think I'd rather just tour the place and spend my money on a different hotel.

It's a historic not glamorous hotel which I like. Don't expect to enter your room and find all the latest hotel gadgets. This hotel does cleverly hide some updated amenities while not detracting from the history. The hotel interior was detailed and well maintained. You can see the extra work put into keeping an old building look new. Lastly the bar was a nice way to end the night. Comfortable seating with an excellent and attentive waitress (Hannah) made our last minute anniversary stay very nice. Overall it's a solid place that you won't get caught up in a lot of fluff you don't need.

Impeccable service, great location, plus the beauty of this property makes it truly one of the best hotels in Seattle. My room was nicely appointed; stylish elegant and functional. Gym was well equipped complete with coffee, water and fruit. But the Georgian is the place to be for great food along with superb service. Afternoon Tea is a must. Last but not least, Reception and Concierge staff are phenomenal; they go above and beyond to make guests feel like home.

The check in process was smooth and the concierge staff was very courteous during my late check in. Another guest had some issues with their room and they were very accommodating in offering a new room and comping breakfast. All of the staff are very friendly, the rooms are well maintained and provides for a pleasant experience

My review has been 5-star until I checked my credit card history that they charged me $62 for their mini bar items that I never took. Not only so, I called multiple times and they always transferred my call to accounting department which nobody has ever answered. So I guess here is the only channel where my complaint can be heard?

We had a corner room which was great. All service was fantastic. The staff were terrific. We had three windows in our room. All very comfortable. Dinning in room was very special, for no occasion and it was very tasty.
