Minus one star because food took a long time to come out, but everything was delicious and staff was kind. Ontario Ice wine tea and the scones were the best! Was here for a bridal shower. We had a great time.

For a hotel with such high prices the attitude from staff is disappointing. Perhaps it is because we stay here during a gaming convention with a clientele that does not fit the image of a typical Fairmont Patron that they lapse in their promised hospitality.

Some highlights:

1. We left our van with the valet and came down hours later to see it was still in the driveway. When we asked why they admitted they had left it there to prevent people from parking there. What? It is acceptable to use my vehicle to block your other guests from accessing the hotel?

2. At about 3 AM our first night there we asked for a softer pillow as we found the provided ones quite firm. They said someone would be right up. We waited, exhausted from our day at the convention, for the pillow to arrive. I finally called down asking again saying it had been half an hour and the pillow had bot arrived. The front desk paused and said Hm, no it has only been about 25 minutes since you called. SERIOUSLY!? They actually took a tone like that when I was just making a simple request. It still took another 10 minutes for staff to deliver a simple pillow.

3. When we invited a client to our hotel room for a quick drink before dinner the front desk staff refused to let us use the stairs to get to our fourth floor room. Despite explaining that our guest has a fear of elevators they would not allow an exception saying that the stairwell is closed after a certain time.

The rooms are generally unimpressive as it is an old hotel and despite renovations shows it s age in many respects. The pool area is nice and the staff there is courteous in our experience. That s what I can muster up to include some good with the bad!

I visit the Fairmont often for Penelope Beauty Bar. The hotel itself is clean and very well out together, my one caveat is the way to the spa can be a bit tricky to find. Penelope has phenomenal customer service and will answer the phone within minutes and emails within an hour. They listen to what you need and will book a provider based on your past experiences, desires, and the skillset and personality of the provider. Last I went, I had Elizabeth. She was efficient and honest which I appreciated. It took all of twenty minutes to get in and out of the salon. They take card for tips!

Good ambience. Good facilities. Very courteous staff. The lady who manages the swimming pool section at the 2nd floor in the evening, is very warm, polite, helpful, courteous. Food from the dining service is pricy.

Easy check in, very courteous staff. Rooms were clean and very presentable. Typical city noise but that's pretty much expected when you choose to stay downtown. We ate at Shuckers in the hotel and food was excellent.

Stayed here twice and both times have been great. Gorgeous interiors, super friendly reception staff, free Wi-Fi, very big and clean rooms with divided areas, nice breakfasts and overall decent location - this is a perfect combo for a hotel. Plus, it s less expensive that many other premium hotels in the area. It s a great deal and I d definitely stay here again.

Currently under construction. I wouldn t recommend staying here until the construction is done. Otherwise it s not the same experience. The hotel is old. The hotel rooms feel old too. It is kind of cool - perhaps once - but I probably won t stay here again based on the cost and outdated furniture and feeling. I may change my review rating once the hotels been renovated. I think it ll be done in fall.

I wanted to write this review because it is good to recognize when people shine!. I had dropped my cell phone when picking my Aunt up from the Fairmont. My wife called and gave her cell phone in case it was found and shortly after, we received a call back saying Vince found it. Thank you Vince for having integrity and making a difference. You are appreciated more than you know.

The bed was so uncomfortable. I feel like my grandparents would find the decor of this hotel very nice. Definitely get an old has-yet-to-be-modernized feel from this place. Wouldn t stay here again. Friendly service though!

The Fairmont is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and excellent accommodations!

Jennifer Lennon and her colleagues were all incredibly helpful with the work conference my manager and I were hosting at the Fairmont.

I would highly recommend to anyone I know who's heading to Seattle to consider staying at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

We came to visit the Teddy Bear Suite! We also stopped in the Lobby to take a photo of the tree when an extremely nice gentleman (I wish I caught his name) came over and began to interact with my 16 month old. He then asked if he was allowed to have a stuffed animal and came back with a Whale for him to keep! Such an amazing experience and we weren't even guests of this hotel! I definitely look forward to staying here one day after experiencing their amazing customer service.

Hotel was nice but I stayed as part of a group. Wifi was supposed to be included in our group rate. I was charged more than $26/day for wifi. I've called their accounting department twice to have the charges reversed. No one in accounting ever answers the phone nor did they responded to my TWO voice messages on the matter. Inexcusably poor service for such a high end hotel.

Hopefully a poor review will get the attention of someone who knows how to dial a phone.

Update 11/13/18
Following my negative review I was finally connected with someone who reversed the $76 in WiFi charges that were supposed to have been included in my group rate. Still only 3 stars because there is no excuse for 2 voice messages being ignored by their accounting staff.

All five stars are deserved! Very clean, top equipment, thought of many details, unbeatable service and who wants a health area with fitness studio, whirlpool/pool and sauna. The friendliness and service are exemplary and a great advertisement for the city.

Beautiful lobby. Rooms rather cramped with furniture, the mini-bar was in the wrong place near the door. Nicely appointed rooms, bathrooms large. Close to the waterfront, good walk down and slower going back up. The restaurant was excellent but cramped. Wonderful florist in the building, they make beautiful arrangements. Would have given them a higher rating, but, there was some miscommunication about the amenities we were due. Pricey.

Hotel was very nice. Staff was courteous. Amenities were good. Food was not bad for in room dining.. only thing which i think can improve is the lighting inside the hotel.. Seattle isn't very bright outside, Having a dull environment inside hotel and in rooms isn't helping

We went to the hotel for their holiday "Teddy Bear Suite," where they fill a large hotel suite with Teddy bears and Christmas decorations. It made for a really nice photo op with our toddler. The hotel itself looked really nice, with an elegant lobby.

Yes. It's damn special. One for a romantic getaway, the service obviously is top notch. I'm blessed in that I work closely with the Fairmont and get a lower rate, and have stayed at many of them on business travel. This property is one of my favorites and it is well located if you want to go to pike place or walk up to the hill.

A nice enough hotel but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Even by Seattle standards the staff is just plain rude.

Also be aware there is an undisclosed "Urban Hospitality Fee," of 20$ that isn't disclosed until checkout time.

Just disappointing to see an alleged "5 star hotel" try and nickle and dime you like this.
