Old charm is the perfect way to describe this place. Fantastic customer service from every worker. The rooms are nice, mine didn t have much of a view. The gym is on the smaller side, but has access to an indoor pool and small outdoor patio area. Parking is a steal - $45 for unlimited days.

A few days before my arrival I fractured my foot. Every staff member went above and beyond in assisting me. A housekeeper after bringing me a bag of ice to which she insisted she do, saw I was ironing a shirt and offered to do it for me.

Traditional elegant charm. Great gym, limited food service, but very good quality. Excellent service.

Update... Stayed here for a second time 2nd wk of Jan 2019. Service during my first stay was excellent, upon my second visit, my view of the hotel increased and I upgraded my rating from 4 to 5 stars. It's the little things that that the hotel staff do that differentiate this hotel from similarly positioned and priced hotels.

I like to draw and sketch to relieve stress / pass time. My soft pencil case is in bad shape, and pencils poke through rips in the seams. Upon returning to my room after a long day, the house keeping service had provided a heavy sealing baggy so the pencils wouldn't slip out. This is a very minor thing, but demonstrates a genuine thoughtfulness and customer service mindset.

Came here for a Deep Tissue massage and pedicure. Wow! Julie is a master massage therapist, I felt so relaxed the whole time and she used exactly the right amount of pressure throughout. The pedicure was amazing and fun, both pedicurists we had were a delight and gave us extra time with a foot massage for having "easy feet". We'll definitely be coming back for more spa days!

Happy to have my birthday there. They sent up chocolate strawberries. Thanks so much! That made me really like the service, although the room was ok, but could have been bigger especially for the price! Also the arcade on the bottom floor isn't really an arcade. Seems so empty down there. Also wish there was a complimentary breakfast and birthday discount.

The service here is top notch, as were the spa, and room service breakfast. The room was gorgeous, with brilliant interior design and all the possible comforts of home. My only complaint would be about the Terrace Bar service. One night it was painfully slow, and the next night the server was either hard of hearing or a little curt for my taste. Neither instance was unsatisfactory enough to lose a star on what was an otherwise magical weekend.

Nice hotel. Centrally located. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was large and well appointed. I just wish hotels like this would stop gouging on things like minibar, movies and internet

Our family stayed here last weekend and it was fantastic. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the lobby is beautiful and grand, and the service from all employees was top notch. Our daughter loved the indoor pool and hot tub, and they even had an Easter Scavenger Hunt for kids with prizes. The location was central (we were able to walk to Pike Street Market) and everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We'll definitely be back!

Great location historic landmark building. Centrally located in the heart of downtown. Block away from subway. Rooms are clean but a bit claustrophobic. No free breakfast in this place. But customer service is great. Mainly business related stays as well as events such as weddings. One time experience unless you are there for business or football game.

I really like staying at fairmont hotels, this one had everything I like about staying at a fairmont, beautiful lobby friendly reception and clean rooms. The location is fairly central, closer to the financial buildings so it is fairly dead on the weekends, but its not far from pike place market which is fun and lively all night with bars brewerys and good food.I did find our bathroom had a funny odor once in a while like the p trap wasn't working properly and it smelled like the gas was coming back up.

The Afternoon Tea was over priced and just sad. It was an insult to the ritual that is high tea. I did not stay in the Hotel so that may be nice. If you want a good tea service do not waste your time or money here.

Old world elegance in this modern luxury hotel. Impeccable service. Our 5th floor suite was spacious and comfortable. The front door valet team led by Bill and Danny provide world class service. The Georgian dining room is a must for breakfast. We stayed twice in one week. This would have been a solid 5* review except for the way a malfunctioning room card key issue was poorly handled by the front desk supervisor on our departure day. Despite that we will definitely stay here again and recommend.

Editing my review because the hotel didn't feel like I provided enough information.

My room didn't have much of a view (disappointing after seeing incredible photos online), there was overpriced food options, and the size of the room was tiny in comparsion to the price you'd get at other hotels nearby.

There is an idea of an atmosphere here that just doesn't translate as well into the practual parts of your stay/vacation/holiday.

In short, I was unimpressed with my stay. I left a short review, and 4 stars.
The management took it upon themselves to leave a reply not asking for clarification, but practually demanding it in a condescending tone that speaks to their desire to provide service after you've left the hotel. This leaves a really poor taste in my mouth. Next time I'm staying in Downtown Seattle I'll be avoiding this hotel. And unless you're getting an incredible deal, I would advise you look around a bit too.

Original review:
Overpriced for a fairly basic hotel.

We had the best weekend stay at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. We took a weekend trip for my husband's birthday and had mentioned that was why we were in Seattle, and within 10 minutes of arriving to our room, we had chocolate covered strawberries. We also called and inquired about breakfast and the Space Needle, and the concierge staff recommended the most delicious breakfast place, gave us a map with directions for a scenic walk to the Space Needle, and even called and made reservations for brunch and tickets for us. The hotel was clean, historic, charismatic, quiet but sociable, and classic. It's also very reasonable to walk to many of the major destinations in Seattle. We found a great deal which made our stay affordable. Definitely worth a visit. I would stay here every time I came to Seattle!

As per the my experience , Staff need more training to how to manage the room for customer. I got my room after one hour I got the call from reception to verify my details one more time . When I asked they said one more customer is here with same name. again at the mid night someone was trying to open my door. I woke up and open the door and I saw two guys was standing in front of my door and saying this room is allocated to me and showing the proof too. after showing my booking they agreed to go. when I talk to reception they told me I will check. after one hour I got the call from reception saying I resolved the issue . now you know sleep. !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously after making my whole night is a mess and now you called again after mid night , just to say have a good sleep.

The Fairmont Olympic is the definition of luxury. Your experience begins with a greeting from the doorman as he opens your car door for you and escorts you to the entry. The valet are professional and engage with every guest, making them feel valued. Penelope Beauty Bar is the perfect place to go to be pampered, and The Georgian has food that is always local and seasonal. Their grilled cheese with avocado is to die for. The rooms are newly remodled and give a a modern take on the Roman renaissance-ish style of the rest of the hotel. Whenever I plan a day downtown, the Fairmont is always one of my destinations.

Came to see my wife who was staying @ the hotel for a work conference. We met for lunch @ Shucker's, where we had a delightful meal. Food was top-notch, as was the server who made excellent recommendations. Wife had nothing but good things to say about the hotel staff and experience. She mentioned that they offer Le Labo toiletries, which adds a nice high-end touch, and her room was very well-appointed.
