Fantastic resort! The entire resort is so beautiful. Most rooms are actual cabins. The main lodge is where the restaurants are and the pool and hot tub. This is a very nice resort and service is top notch!

We usually always have a great experience while staying here, however during our recent stay we unfortunately had to wait almost two hours to check in. Due to the late check in, we weren't able to fully enjoy all the amenities and activities we had planned. We also had to call room service several times as we had requested for some items which either weren't delivered or delivered really late. We are quite disappointed this happened but we will continue to visit as we really love this place. Hopefully our next stay will be much better!

Had an absolutely amazing wedding here in August 2018. Almost a year later and we still think about that incredible experience all the staff at the Jasper Park Lodge gave us. It is our number 1 go to spot for any vacation in Jasper from here on out. Returning to celebrate our first anniversary. All restaurants served us some of the best food we have had and the lakeside suite they provided us for our wedding was something special with a breathtaking view from the balcony of the lake. The wedding coordinators sure know what they are doing and are always there for you every step of the way with planning. Thank you JPL for giving us an unforgettable experience and becoming our now favourite place to get away to in Alberta and the Rockys.

We are travelling with a dog. 50 dollar add on
Arrived to find dog drool and pet hair all over the couch.
I travel with a sticky roller, and my dog sleeps on his blanket.
I thought this property is really showing its age.
We paid for front row lake view, but the windows were filthy...and that's inside, not seasonal winter conditions. We paid a premium rate for a fireplace, but not a match or lighter in the room.
Finally, no bottled water in the room, I don't mind paying for it.
Very disappointed with the property.
I have recently enjoyed the Fairmont Dubai, Fairmont Nairobi, Fairmont Zimbabwe and Fairmont Capetown. Clean, great service and always bottled water provided.
They need to step up.

Very scenic, located in a nature park. However, it is very large, which I don't really like. The people get lost there, but when a lot of people do get together, it is quite a bustle, which is in contrast to the beautiful, quiet nature. The decor is a bit old and does not meet my expectations for a hotel of this category. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

There's a lovely view from the bar and an even better one from the patio. Food and drink are a little pricey, but not more expensive than what you'll find in town. For the little more you pay, you get much higher quality and much better service. To us it was worth it.

Probably the best/most beautiful golf course I have ever played. Stunning views on every hole. Elevation changes; shots over water; a well groomed Stanley Thompson design. It was a cold day in May when I played but I didn't care!!!

Spent the weekend here in the lake view king Suite with the family. Room was clean very nice. Had a wood burning fire place not much of a view though with all the trees blocking the lake view. A little high in price i think for the room More

The scenery is beautiful and the staff was courteous for the most part. I was disappointed that the doormen didn't open the doors for us at the front. I know it's a small detail, but I did notice it.The cottage we stayed in had a stained, green velvet couch circa 1960's. The room and main building need to be updated. We had dinner at the Chophouse and the foie gras was out of a can and cold and the shrimp cocktail was defrosted shrimp on a plate. Our mains were good, but not great. The quality of the food and accommodation do not reflect the steep prices that we paid. I will not be going back or recommending Fairmont Jasper.

Don t trust the professional photos, the hotel is traditional but not really too new renovated even the room we stay claimed new renovated. Also we were paying higher px for hotel room
But ended up we stay at the village home. The washroom is very small and water can t drain.

Service are good, the free shuttle from station is great, very helpful.

The location is great. On a lake that is very nice (but not stunning like the many blue lakes if Banff and Jasper). The facilities of the hotel are good- shops, spas a few restaurants. But rooms are very tired and overpriced for what they are. My lakefront cabin had a view faith obscured by screens. There is no air conditioning which no doubt much of the year isn't a problem burnjr was very hot there in late July. And service was just terrible. Ask for anything and wait hours for it, if it came at all, whether room service, coffee pods, for the room, toiletries that were not replenished etc. The pool is very small and overcrowded.

The view here is incredible however the price doesn t match the interior. The cabin could use some renovation for sure. The most disappoint part was when we enter the resort they gave us a map with all the facilities info including the hour however due to covid 19 some of them are either closed or changed hour and I understand just wish they would correct the details before they hand out their map so easier for guest to plan their activity. Also the website has advertising for kid free meal in restaurants however we did not offered any meal when we attended. It s either the stuff need to be trained or the website has to be updated. Overall wasn t a super bad experience but was surprised the fairmont quality isn t as high as I expected considered it charges over $800 a night.

Stayed here for Christmas. The facilities are amazing as far as skating and skiing. Valet was very friendly as well. However the temperature in the cabin at night ceases to work and went to 17 degrees. The service at the bar on the main floor was very subpar. Waited an incredible long time that the singer actually got me help. The pool facilities were also very dirty. If they want to be a luxury resort they need to step up their game. We will not be returning

OK if you don't want to sleep ...
The cabin style of rooms may well be great if you want to hang out and drink beers with your pals on the porch in front of your room into the evening. Not so good for those in nearby rooms who are trying to use the hotel as a place to sleep for the night.
If you find you have to stay here, take good ear plugs ... our just lie awake listening to the increasingly drunk and loud conversations/arguments right outside the flimsy door to your room.

Beautiful Resort. Close to Jasper Town. The concierge (Tyler) gave us so many recommendations. Everything he said has been spot on. If only we could live here forever..... Well, at least for the summer.

My husband and I decided to come to JPL as our local honeymoon as our original travel plan no longer works due to COVID-19. The staffs are friendly and take great precautions of safety with COVID. Check-In and Check-Out went smoothly as they were done at the gate and can be done from within the room respectively. We enjoy walking around the lodge and spending time by the lake.

We were at the Fairmont Room and the walls are thin. The room itself is a bit dated, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice as it has been renovated in recent years. We came during a weekend when the temperature was close to 20degC, so the room was nice and cool even without turning on the A/C or a fan (the portable fan in the way actually doesn't work, but didn't bother addressing it since we didn't need it). I suspect it might get a bit uncomfortable if the unit doesn't have A/C during 30+ degC weather.

During our first night here, our neighboring unit (possibly empty) had their TV on all night. I called and texted the concierge at 1am and she sent security over to check but didn't make any changes. Managed to finally fall asleep but woke up 5 hours later with the neighboring TV still on. This time the security finally entered the unit and turned it off. Not sure why the TV was left on in the first place if the unit was empty since we noticed we got new neighbors later in the day (Could hear kids running around). Other than that minor hiccup, most communication was done via texts from Concierge checking in to make sure we are doing ok. We were able to take advantage of some of the activities the resort offered. The Wi-Fi in our room was hit and miss as it was very weak.

Food: We tried Orso Trattoria on site and the food was ok. We had better dinner experiences off site. Em To Go was very convenient for grabbing breakfast on the go.

Overall, I was sad to leave JPL on my last day. My husband and I are already talking about coming back one day, aiming for a room with a better view :)

It was an okay experience but for what you pay to stay here the expectations are quite high. It was warm when we were staying there and there is no A/C in the cabins. We also asked for water because there was no water in the suite and only way to fill the coffee machine was with the bathroom faucet. Charged us 4 dollars for a bottle of water. Also waited an hour and a half to be seated for breakfast and the service of the hostess wasn t super good. Our waiter was very friendly though, decided on not doing breakfast again while we were there because of the wait. The lake is beautiful and the scenery is also really nice! Seen lots of wildlife as well!

Beautiful views, very friendly staff who were all very helpful, loved our log cabin style room. Resort sits on a beautiful lake and is close to town as well, would love to stay here again.

The room and the view were great! The food and drinks not so much. The food was way too overpriced and yet service was poor while eating. Would definitely recomend skipping out eating here and just head into Jasper.

Amazing views so much so I'm not sure I want to tell anyone about it as I'd like to keep it a secret. Fabulous staff even drove us to the train station many hours after we had checked out - brilliant service.

Quite possibly the least professional interaction I have had with a hotel ever. Traveling through Canada as an essential worker, we were sure to check with the hotel many times prior to booking and arrival to ensure we were allowed to stay. Over the course of 2+ months, my wife and I corresponded with the hotel to ensure no updates to policy would preclude our stay.

The day before our stay, we were sent a personal email from the hotel asking if we would still be able to cross the Canadian border and that the hotel was excited to have us stay. We responded that yes, we would still be able to cross and confirmed a check in time with the hotel management. That afternoon, we were contacted by the hotel that our reservation was cancelled due to hotel policy and that we were not welcome to stay. In the same day we both confirmed via a personal email for check in and were told that hotel policy didn't allow us to stay...very conflicting.

I understand that policy changes, but this type of customer service is absolutely ridiculous and entirely unprofessional. None of this policy was posted on their website or in any sort of correspondence, and dragging customers along who are traveling out of necessity is absolutely unacceptable. We were so glad that we didn't have the misfortune of showing up to this shame of an establishment on the day of our reservation with our baby and find that we were not able to stay and then have nowhere to stay while transiting through Canada on essential work.

I will never stay at this hotel and will not be able to recommend more strongly the same to anybody who I know.

It's not your usual Fairmont quality accommodation. We arrived at 7pm local time and our room was not ready even though check in was supposed to be 4pm. In addition to that the front desk staff was not apologitic but instead blame it on Covid. That was not what I expect from Fairmont. We called the manager once we finally got into our room and they gave us a $150 credit for us to use towards any room charge. And on the last night they also provide a cheese plate and fruit. The rooms is more or less typical log cabin style but small. The view and grounds is amazing though.

We went for the planetarium show and sky watch, nicely put together. Too bad there were no Northern Lights this night. Fun to view objects from several telescopes and see how they set up and take images even on bright moonlit nights. Dress warmly the cold will seep in.

A bit of a hike from Jasper, but ammenities are what you'd expect from a Fairmont. Each room is a cabin, but this is far from roughing it. The dining options are out of this world. You'll definitely enjoy your time here.

It's important to note that the premium you pay for staying at this hotel is not due to the rooms. The inside of a standard room is just like any other hotel (although comfortable beds and bedding), and the walls are quite thin, so you can expect to hear your neighbours. What you're paying for at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is the experience. The setting is indescribably beautiful. Open your door in the morning and you find yourself surrounded by mountains, pristine lakes, hiking trails, a golf course, and so much more. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back.

I don t know how folks are reviewing this hotel so highly. No AC. ITS HOT IN THESE ROOMS. A little tabletop fan. Gotta be kidding.

No wireless internet.

Feels more like a budget hotel than a Fairmont. Huge disappointment. Will never stay here again.

False advertising - $160 rip off at spa. Ladies, save your money if going here for the Rocky Mountain Pedicure. Not as advertised. Doesnt last 75 minutes and you dont get the arm/hand massage with warming gloves during your 5 minute paraffin treatment. Do not prepay before your service! I ended up paying $20 tip on top of 15% gratuity for the worst pedicure ever. Polish looks like I did it and they didnt remove any of the dead dry skin via pummice. Please please go to any other spa than this one. Save your hard earned money girls! Total rip off!

The grounds at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge are ...

The grounds at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge are simply amazing, as well as the included amenities like the stand up paddle board and the paddleboats. Sadly, the cabins look rundown, paint peeling and the like and out cabin did not have A/C. It seems like none of the cabins do, as we've talked to other guests. That isn't super acceptable for a hot August day. The layout of the streets and parking surrounding the cabins is also quite hard to navigate. All in all, the facilities and amenities try to make up for the room, but for the price, it doesn't save the rating.
