The surroundings are beautiful, the amenities luxurious and the employees kind! The workers went above and beyond to make my and my colleagues' time here extra special. They're pro-active and helpful even during hectic hours and busy times. The food is spectacular, though it and the drinks are quite pricey, so be aware. They've got a decent gym and a very nice pool. I like the rooms, but the water didn't get hot enough all the time (which is to be expected in this environment, but I'd still expect a little better). I like the skating rink on the lake in the winter and the ability to rent snow sports equipment. This would be a romantic getaway for sure, and good for getting away from the hustle and bustle with a group of friends too. Overall, a spectacular experience. This place received my and my colleagues' applause!

We had a great time. The outdoor pool was great. The staff was excellent, Gary, at the front desk, specifically. It was too bad that the coffee maker didn't work, the fixtures were slanted and the side of the heater had fallen off. Just small things but you pay for detail.

The hotel was beautiful, we enjoyed our stay and only had a few minor complaints. Room service is EXTREMELY overpriced for the food quality and our room service tray was left in our room after it had been cleaned (a simple text to the front desk resolved this quickly).we stayed in room 415 which was a lovely queen suite and really enjoyed our meal at the nook!

If you are going for a wedding, I highly suggest requesting Patty for support for the day. I attended the Vani wedding over the weekend and we were lucky enough to have Patty as extra support that day. He was INCREDIBLY helpful, insanely kind, very professional- overall a wonderful person. He was eager to help in every way possible. We all felt very lucky to have him as support that day. Good hire JPL- Patty (or perhaps paddy?) is an awesome employee/person. THANKS AGAIN PATTY! WE all loved you,

Superb locstion in the Rocky Mountains. Beautiful mountain view from outdoor pool. You can even swim there when it is -25 Celsius outside because of the heated pool. Be sure to wear a toque to keep your head warm!

I did not stay at this hotel and I am sure glad I didnt. For the amount of the rates for the stay, the extra fees it does not look like it is worth it at all. The hotel itself did not seem to be very clean, and the pool area was the worst! Dirt, hair and garbage everywhere. For the amount you pay to use their services you would think the place would be much cleaner considering it is also supposed to be a spa area. If you are planning to go here I would suggest bringing a pair of flip flops. Also, the staff at the pool did not seem like they enjoyed their jobs at all.

As most Fairmount hotels, it is excellent and the service is wonderful. The surrounding vista is just plain breathtakingly beautiful. Close to Marmot Ski Hill and the town of Jasper, there is a ton of things to do for kids at this hotel. Hockey/Lake skating, cross country skiing, horse back riding, swimming (the outdoor pool is heated and available year round) etc. etc. The restaurants are of good quality. I will say that it was EXTREMELY busy... kids and millions of adults milling around.. not surprising considering it was Christmas break. If you are looking for a quiet romantic get away, go at another time or choose another place during prime vacation days. However, you can't go wrong choosing to go here It is well worth it!

Thank you for making it completely unaffordable for Canadians to stay in their own back yard. Stayed here before in the past and was barely worth the $250/night.... but $1,110????????? NO WAY!

Amazing service, beautiful property, love the location in proximity to the town of Jasper. Very dog friendly here, they even offer a pet corner in the main lobby. The staff have really gone above and beyond to give us a great experience here. We are already deciding on when to come back. The time of year will play a role when booking the room. If it's in the colder months opt to stay at the main Lodge so you don't have to walking the cold wind. Not a far walk but something to keep in mind.

I am not one to write reviews, but we were very disappointed with our stay at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. We found a mouse in our room at 1am and called the front desk only to be offered for housekeeping to bring mouse traps (and we were still expected to stay in the room...). We had to ask to get a new room. The next day at checkout, I spoke with the manager, Francois Lachance, only to be told that since we are in a national park there are a lot of wildlife and mice are hard to control. I understand to a certain extent that there are more wildlife in a national park but would not expect to find mice in a hotel especially at Fairmont s caliber. I have stayed in many hotels/cabins/lodges in national parks and have never found mice. At the very least, we should have been offered a new room immediately. In the end, we were compensated by not having to pay the resort fee of $30...

Overall, we left feeling very disappointed and disgusted.

JPL will always be a special place for my family and I, we frequent their about twice a year! The staff and amenities are fantastic. The natural wood burning fire place is always on, the food is nothing but spectacular along with the courteous staff.

Staff were excellent, accommodating and very knowledgeable. Food was perfection, although if you dine there every night you'll quickly go over budget. The town with regular fast food is only a hike away or short drive. Pool is salt water, kind on the eyes, health club was nice and there was plenty of activities. Bar tender was even cool about me being a non - drinker, and showed me a new non alcoholic drinks I could order

We are always impressed by this lodge. The setting is amazing, with wildlife wandering the grounds. The accommodations are first rate, and there the vice is outstanding. There are many other natural attractions in the national park, as well as plenty of top notch restaurants in Jadper village.

Although this hotel / lodge is an expensive stay, there are services included which justify its price. There is a games room, spa with outdoor heated swimming pool. The lakes surrounding the lodge are beautiful and we saw lots of waterfowl. We also spotted a pilated woodpecker, bald and golden eagle. Breakfast was pricy but the selection on offer for the buffet was first class and service was excellent.

the room and view was awesome, but to be told to find parking and then walk in *27 to the room was shocking also to find out that the room wont be cleaned while staying at the fairmont very disappointing, ill never recommend the Moose Nook for dinner to be told that they ran out of food because of the evening event the night before as this is the big event and new years day means nothing to the fairmont, so much for a expericene of a life time, sad face

I was staying here for a work function, and although the staff is friendly and the food is decent, the rooms are extremely dated and DIRTY. If you want to stay some where clean, DO NOT come here.

I wanted to give a shout-out to the two wonderful gentleman working the valet services on Sunday January 27th. We had an incredibly cranky toddler and made a last-minute decision to check-out early (and as quickly as possible). When I called down to have someone help us with our bags and vehicle, I was greeted with patience and understanding in our tricky situation!

I was highly impressed with the valet services. The help of these two gentlemen really added smoothness to our departure. I greatly appreciated the water and cookies for the road, as well as their warm and helpful demeanor.

My only regret is I completely forgot to tip these two men. I hope this review finds you both because you really did make our chaotic departure exceptional!

Stayed at FJPL for 6 days 5 nights. Fantastic staff and amazing views. My room was about a 3 min walk to the main building-front of room had a view of some mountains with 2 adirondack chairs-also had a backdoor. The kingsize bed i found just a tad bit lumpy but i liked the pillows and there were like 5 of them. Room amenities included hairdryer, coffee maker, safe, iron and ironing board, fridge, electric water kettle, robes and a pair of slippers. Fairmont grounds are gorgeous and have beautiful walking trails. Lac Beauvert was picturesque. Stanley, their canine ambassador, was so cute and friendly. Heated pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room was great after a long day. Food and drinks was good. Oka sushi was awesome. Rooms were just right and clean.

Amazing place, starting to get run down, but the expense has now put it out of the range of affordability for most Albertans. Sadly I'll probably never be able to afford to take my own children here. More promotions for Albertans would be helpful so we could enjoy our mountain parks and amenities too. Other jurisdictions typically provide steep discounts to locals for tourist attractions (ex. Disneyland etc.).

Update in response to hotel s response to my original post: I was interested in the promotions for Albertans & got excited that maybe I could actually share my love of this place with my kids. Alas there are apparently no rooms available at all on any of the weekends I could go. How far in advance do we need to book now? Another wrinkle making a once amazing place inaccessible.

Take your hard earned money elsewhere. For the price, which is $$$$, this Fairmont resort is subpar. I get it, Jasper has less selection, and this is already nicer than the others, but still sorely lacking for a Fairmont. Sure, the location beside Lac Beauvert is amazing, but this does not justify the price.
Our experience - Aug 1-Aug 3 ($7XX for 2 nights), first night was in main building in Deluxe queen room, our room was 27 deg C (at 730pm upon check-in), we were told the hotel's central AC was taxed by the hot weather of 28-30 deg C. For a resort of this size and prestige, I expect that your HVAC system is up to par and has been upgraded given the resort s age. We were given a second fan and a bag of ice. This was after I talked to the manager, Alexander Jones (he was great), he said all the rooms were taken, but they put us in a cabin room separate from the main building on the second night. IMO, if I was told the hotel had no AC prior to arrival, I would have spent $2XX/night somewhere else in town with AC and saved some good money in the process! This second room wasn't as nicely renovated, but at least they had a portable Air Conditioning unit inside that worked. Here s the kicker, our outdoor patio that the cabin accommodations came with had no patio chairs, where every other patio did. At this point, I was sick of talking to management. I just left it.
On the same day, I experienced a very frustrating experience where my wife and I arrived at the boat launch to take a first come first serve kayak or paddleboard rental. It was obvious that there were either kayaks or paddleboards available. However, we were told that it was 500pm sharp and they needed time to process the waivers and all waivers had to be in before 500pm. Needles to say, myself and other patrons were agitated by this answer, and I knew other patrons had been waiting much longer than we had been. The boat launch was only manned by one female (that day) and she was both ill equipped and overloaded. The free and rental equipment at the boat lunch is from 11am to 6pm(5pm last rental), which is inadequate for how big the resort is. The weather is great at 9am, 10am, so why they don t open it up earlier and later during this time of the year is astonishing to me. I am sure people beside myself would not return for this and other reasons. Management needs to step up!

Amenities: 8/10
Service: 9/10
Boat Launch availability and experience: 5/10
Restaurant (Orso): 10/10
Rooms: 6/10
Resort ground and maintenance: 8/10
Value for money: 6/10

We visited Jasper Park Lodge for dessert and drinks at their lounge on the main floor. The ambience is beautiful and we had a great time. The cocktails and coffee were wonderful, and the service was terrific. We had only two minor complaints. We ordered a dessert that arrived so frozen we could hardly eat it. It was a brownie sundae, and the brownie could have broken my teeth! The ice cream was too hard to get a spoon into. Also, the bathrooms on the main floor smelled horrible. Thankfully, they were still fairly clean. Just could not abide the awful stench. Those two things didn't ruin the evening, though, as our server was so attentive and kind, and our coffee was honestly some of the best I've had anywhere! We would certainly return.

The staff were extremely friendly and the food was fantastic. There were a surprising amount of things broken down while we were there. The elevator was out of service and so were the steam rooms. It didn't ruin our experience but it definitely didn't help. The elevator did make moving our grandmother around very cumbersome as she is wheelchair bound.

Great hotel for people to see what Jasper has to offer. Also fairly close to Jasper town and nearby mountains and trails. Also you can go to Jasper town to book skiing tickets for Marmot basin. This hotel is dog friendly but be aware that in the chalet there are some areas dogs can go and walk around. If you want food you have to buy takeout from the bar as servers will not serve you in certain sections of the chalet.

The beds are comfortable and if your lucky use the fireplace. This is a great place for family during Christmas to play board games.

Staff were nice, facility was beautiful, and the food was midiokre. We were there for a Peewee hockey banquet and it was five dollars for a pop, and I thought the children should at least get one free drink. Also the penne was undercooked, and soggy.

Feel's like camp from our youth except it's the luxury edition that our parents forgot to mention. Luxury Rustic is a category that I have now put on my Travel agenda. Fantastic setting with one of Canada's top golf courses and all of the mountain outdoor activities your heart desires. Or just relax by the fire, sip cocktails by the heated pool or spend the day in the spa.

I went to the Lodge for an overnight stay: the service was completely amazing, I wasn't dissapointed even once. I went to a restaurant in the lodge called Orso, little pricey but it was some of the best food and service I've ever had. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Jasper.

Exactly what one would expect from fairmont. Amazing views and if you get one of the cabins by the lake you are literally steps from wildlife and a glassy smooth (on a still morning) blue green absolutely beautiful lake. Just can't get enough of the views. My 3 year old and I spent hours in the pool. Food quality is top notch and the staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. Would give six stars if I could. Can't wait to go back.

I have been coming to JPL every year for 25 years....

I have been coming to JPL every year for 25 years. It is incredibly beautiful and worth a stay at least once (if you can afford the very high price). The grounds and views are stunning. The staff are friendly and hard working- often young people from around Canada.
I have to say the room service food is generally not very good. Pretty awful in fact if you look at it from the elite status of the hotel and exorbitant prices. Chefs, your Caesar salad is pretty blah and often over dressed and soggy. I know this is a bit weird but I order it from room service every year we arrive just to see if someone has finally realized how lacking it is and fixed it. But alas, no.
However the food in the restaurants is better quality. (I won t get in to more detail as this isn t a food review)
This hotel will always be in high demand because of the peerless location, history, and ambiance. But the Chefs should not rest on their laurels.

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club, rated 5-1/2 stars, offers one of the most spectacular inland settings in which to play golf. On all sides you are surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
