A one of a kind resort. Swim under pool is fantastic. The main lodge great hall is magnificent. Great recreation both in resort and in the Park. Where to begin? Rent a fat bike for the trails or borrow a toboggan for the hill above the lodge in winter. Watch the dueling elk on the frozen lake...endless.

Very nice place to stay for a night before continuing on to Lake Louise. Priced well and accommodates for every type of person. Resteraunt close by, lots of things to do during the day and comfortable living spaces in the lodges. Great stay
This place is an amazing resort. If you are able to visit the JPL, you are in store for an amazing journey in time from the history of the lodge and the modern day comforts that are provided. As soon as you check in to the main lodge you are greeted with fine stone work, wood work from the totem poles and scents of fresh firewood smoke from the enormous fireplace. Unbelievable views and amazing sights to be seen from the outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. Restaurants are top notch and service was friendly, quick and helpful.
Very expensive, but the hotel staff are exceptionally helpful and very friendly. The food is delicious, and the landscape is incredibly well maintained and absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful location if only you could figure out the logistics of managing a hotel. Stay here once or twice a year (04/15,05/16,09/16,06/17,11/17,06/20) and have yet to have a reservation without issue - double booked rooms, rooms not ready, people in the room I have keys for, phantom bookings, food/accessories missing or not delivered.
Sorry guys first impressions are what sets the mood for a guests stay - especially as a brand loyal Fairmont customer. I guess you're lucky the mountains are here or Im sure you wouldn't have a repeat guest.
First impressions. You have one chance to make a first impression and your still haven t figured out execution. Same resort - same story. Mountains are nice, big old F on first impressions and actually delivering what a customer reserved and paid for. I m not sure why we keep expecting something to change here
Upgrading our room from the lakeside suite to an amazing parking lot view really set the mood. The screen falling out of the window and sounds of the reverse beepers on the service trucks are amazing! Having stayed in both a lakeside suite and grant house before I didn t bother with reminding the agent assisting me that all the talk up of the upgrade the rooms are the same size, this isn t what we reserved and no after a 4 hour drive with an infant and a toddler we have no interest in waiting another 3-4 hours for house keeping to have the room we reserved (and paid for) that was to be ready at 3pm for our arrival.
To cap off the welcome to the room experience we ordered the dark skies chocolates - not a caramilk, mars bar and bag of M&m s.... oh and all our cups/coffee / cushions / hotel guides appear to be in a box on the lawn - 45 minutes later we were still waiting for a call back to figure out how to get a menu for dinner.... went to earls instead. **please let us know when you want to come finish making our room**
Come on JPL - for a luxury mountain side resort isn t it time you pay attention to the details??

Same resort. Same story. Still beautiful mountains. Came for a weekend getaway, asked for a crib and charcuterie board to be in the room at check in and both missing in action. At least we got a room that was made, available when we were suppose to be checked in and didn t have someone else in it... on the bright side.
Was upgraded from a deluxe room to a jr suite, beautiful room and amazing views but the bed clearly wasn t updated when the rest of the room was - both my better half and I spent the night tossing and turning (hence the 4:24am updated review).
We were planning our evening to eat at one of the restaurants on site - unfortunately all but the lounge were closed even though the website boasts ....in any of our eight restaurants in Jasper, we hope to showcase local and organic foods and the culinary delights of Alberta at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Ended up eating at the emerald lounge, the lobby bar. Our dinner was good but but nothing out of the ordinary... burger, soup, wings, a salad and 2 drinks each, bill came to $180, exact same service at a local lounge in jasper would have been $88 without the FJPL touch (Yes, it s 4am and I m wide awake... see how this dominos from if I had a comfortable bed I d be asleep and not comparison shopping elsewhere?)
I d echo the comments from my last stays... first impressions make the stay. Just because you re a Fairmont in Jasper doesn t mean you get a waive on Fairmont quality service, if your restaurants are seasonal warn your guests of that and lastly your pricing is out of line for what you deliver. Up your game or drop your prices.
I d recommend your management and staff start their tenure by taking a trip to The Post Hotel to understand what caliber of service and customer experience you should be capable of producing.
We felt the atmosphere to this place was amazing. Cabin feels, beautiful views, pool was awesome -with beverage service!! We didn't know the restaurants required a reservation so we ate in the lounge. The lounge had a great atmosphere as well the piano player was great!!
The downside to this review was the quality of the food. I have no problem paying a high price for quality food, but the quality of the $60 dollars steaks were comparable to walmart steaks full of fat. We were very upset to the point that I didn't even want to complain. We were embarrassed.
The breakfast buffet almost made up for it. Although it was pricey, the freshly pressed apple juice was amazing.
Next time we will book a reservation to one of the restaurants or eat somewhere else in town.
Beautiful setting and I loved the esthetics of the main lodge and the cabins. The rooms however where average at best. They where overly warm and there was no AC. Overall I think it was a little over priced for what you get.
This place is magical! We ended up here with no reservations, while an event was going on and they still managed to get us in! There are so many fun activities and lots of hiking opportunities. I will never forget my experience here.
After a long day of travel between flights and a 5 hour drive from Calgary, we were welcomed with open arms by every staff member we met. Each person- from the service desk to those working in valet- made our experience very personal and took time to highlight the many exciting things to do at the lodge, as well as all around Jasper. We stayed in a room within the lodge which was very comfortable and provided stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. My husband and I left the lodge for most of our adventures in Jasper, but the acreage at the lodge and the endless activities provided there makes it impossible to be bored- you can also access easy to moderate trails as soon as you walk out the door which was wonderful for early morning running! Thank you for a wonderful experience, hopefully we will be back!
Always have an amazing experience here! The food and accommodations are wonderful!! We have never had a question or needed additional services from staff but they re always friendly to us! During our most recent stay we have a room with a great view of the lake and the balcony was wonderful to use in the warm evenings.
The COVID pandemic resulted in our original wedding plans being cancelled, so we decided to turn a previously-planned golf trip to the JPL into our wedding as well. It was a wonderful experience thanks in large part to Kathryn Abeysekera, the Wedding Catering Manager, who pulled everything together on incredibly short notice. She took care of everything, and made the whole day effortless and memorable. We couldn't have had a better experience at the JPL. Two of the best meals I can remember in recent memory at Orso, phenomenal golf, and a beautiful spot for a wedding.
Another one for your bucket list. You need a bank loan for the Fairmont hotel chain but they do 5+ very very well. So save your pennies and spend the kids inheritance.
Overall another great stay at the JPL. The resort is focused on the guest experience. I would like to give a special commendation to Michael at the Emerald Lounge Bar. Michael's service and knowledge were second to none. I enjoyed my interactions with him over my stay. Michael is all about the guest experience and will go the extra mile to make sure you 100% percent have the Fairmont experience. I look forward to my next stay in July.
Excellent staff and service. Since there's no air conditioning, room relies on open windows to cool the room but windows are small and don't provide a great draft. Staff provided extra fans, water and ice, so they certainly did their best. Grounds are beautiful and relaxing.
Beautiful resort that is completely maintained. Cabins and rooms spread throughout the property with the main building having the restaurant and bar. Food and drink prices are very high, but it's an expensive resort. WiFi is spotty and didn't work very well on our stay.
The grounds of the hotel are great. They have a lovely lake where you can rent paddle boats, stable with horses that you can rent, and great restaurants and pool. However, they have a long way to go to come close to their 4 star rating. In particular, there were a few things I feel that they failed at. 1. Not all rooms have air conditioning. If you are staying here in summer, like we did be prepared for a hot stay. 2. The room had 1 set of toiletries to use throughout our stay. It wasn't restocked after the first night. 3. There isn't enough parking spots outside the rooms. As the streets are one way and narrow, we couldn't stop outside to unload our car. We had to make several trips to unload our car and the parking spot that we found was a few minutes walk from the room. 4. The room had spider webs and the toilet and bathtub were poorly cleaned. It was not worth the price, and does not live up to it's rating.
I was just there for the afternoon, so can't really comment on the services. But the location is unbelievable, close to all kinds of great activities, with a stunning view. The boat house was well-equipped for a fun day on the lake.
Absolutely beautiful property in one of the most picturesque spots on Earth. Great service and food in the main lodge. Special thank you to the staff which did an amazing job managing a tough situation with the pandemic to make everyone feel comfortable and normal during this time.
I haven't stayed there but I have eaten there and swam in the pool with the drop in. The whole resort is awesome. They are doing a good job of renovations maybe a bit too slowly for some. Winter time they have the best ice rink ever. The food is good but expensive. The pool is small but the shower room is very nice.
Terrible experience, Pre booked , got here at 4pm on a Friday nothing was ready , after almost 2 hrs we received keys to room . Hard to believe when checkouts are at 11 am , and when asked what time we would like to check in , we indicated 2 pm, we were two hrs late from are required check in and still had to wait two hrs for rooms to finally get cleaned, Very unprofessional for a resort of this kind .
Spectacular settings and scenery. The lodge is a bit dated, find it expensive for what it is. Food is just ok. BF 3 star!! Staff are excellent and willing to help. COVID reg. Is too strict and stupid. $30 resorts fee for what? The pool was closed at 9 pm, elevators don t work for gift shop.
Just decided to stop and visit on our way back from hiking, decided on a light lunch. Talking to Brittany (the red head) about our 22ND wedding anniversary, and got a complimentary desert plate, what a sweet girl. Went out of her to make us feel welcome. Rest of staff is great. Had a wonderful time!
Perfect location for enjoying nature. Great ice skating on the lake- hotel provides ice skates, cross country skis etc included in the resort fee. Rooms are good size but beginning to look a bit dated in areas.
This property is beautiful and the views are unbelievably gorgeous! However, for the high price point, the rooms are out of date and nothing elaborate. To get into the bathroom, the door needed to be wide open and we had to skim past it and then close the door. The toilet was so close to the sink that we had to stand to the side of the sink to use it. Priced way too high.
This place is just stunningly beautiful. There are fantastic views of the mist-covered mountains surrounding the hotel. The hotel grounds themselves are vast and well-groomed, and there's a lake right on the property. The trails are great for walks, runs, and bikes. And finally, the rooms are in cabins rather than in one single building - there's a greater feeling of space than in most hotels. Overall, I loved my visit.l :).
My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Fairmont Jasper. The hotel is in the best location in Jasper - overlooking a beautiful lake / mountains. Our room was a basic room (cabin like) which contrasted with our stay at the Chateau Lake Louise property, but it didn't matter - everything was wonderful. Customer service (Winter and Naji went above and beyond any expectations!) the food, drinks, and outdoor pool were excellent! We really enjoyed the smores by the lake and live entertainment in the Emerald Lounge at night. I was missing my dog while on vacation - but this hotel has a resident black lab, Stanley, that you can take for a walk! I highly recommend this property for a quiet, relaxing stay in a beautiful locale.
Always a grand visit. My wife and I appreciate the wonderfully kept grounds, brilliantly pleasant staff and the adventures or subtle enjoyment to have. We will always try to attend this phenomenal resort at least a few times every year.
Located in a very scenic area, a short drive from the Jasper townsite. Rooms are spread throughout the property, shuttle service is available but walks are beautiful. You are paying for the Fairmont service and you will not be disappointed. Rooms are dated and in need of renovations. Recommend staying here in the off season or if there are any promotions available.
Comfortable and cozy cabins set on a small lake in the beautiful Jasper national park. Staff are amazing and the scenery is incredible. The lodge is very family friendly and has all the amenities you need, and is definitely a destination for a weekend of pampering.
If you have ever stayed at Banff or Lake Louise Fairmont then you will be disappointed. Not nearly as luxurious. Our room was ok but really small bathroom. Paid for a view and got a partial frozen lake view.
