Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, lots of activities on-property. Rooms are nice enough. I'm going to get one with a fireplace next time!

Very expensive. Destination hotel. Do not stay in the motel units. However phenomenal walking trail around the lake.
$1000 per night and such bad service. I pay for the difference in service and don't mind spending extra money. For the amount we paid it's insane how bad they screwed up. They added a whole bunch of things to our checkout bill and we spent 30 minutes extra correcting it. They overcharged us couple of hundred dollars and we have emailed receipts of pricing. Hopefully they do end up giving us the money they overcharged us for - it needs to be "reviewed". They should be able to fix it asap, not many many days later. I have to spend time to follow up, such an inconvience... Also they gave us some super bitter gross vegetables and they said they would provide us complimentary desserts to make up for the bad food. They ended up just giving us a discount and we were charged for something that we shouldn't have. I never complain about food or ask for free stuff but for the price we paid it was ridiculous. We just wanted it refunded but they gave us dessert instead. Dessert we got charged for! I can't even. This is insane. For $1000... They want to keep scamming us for more money. Imagine if you're super rich and never bother to look at bills - they are taking advantage of lazy people. So glad we checked every line. Can't trust people to do business with morals.
The staff were wonderful. Always pleasant, always ready to build a fire in our rooms (we were there for a conference), always a positive attitude. And for someone with sensitive food allergies such as myself, they had a great selection and good food!
The only drawback was that staying in the cabins when it is very cold led to our rooms being very cold in the morning, as there was a draft coming from one of the doors. But they were very accommodating.
Perfect location next to lake beauvert. An incredible sight
Even if you are not staying there go for a drink and snack in the lounge, view of the lake is great.
Staff are incredibly friendly and care about a five star service. The location is a fantasy land as well. However for the price we paid we got a room with no ac and was not informed about this beforehand...it was a very hot night and even with windows and doors open and the fan going it was still pretty hot. The king bed was also very old, loud and extremely uncomfortable which is something I never imagined any Fairmont to have. Aside from the room everything else was incredible, food at the restaurants was great and there was a lot to do and see.
I was disappointed by my first stay at the Lodge. My expectations for the quality of service, food and lodging were high and my experience has been below par, unfortunately.
I understand the special circumstances of the COVID pandemic and they have certainly affected all of the above, but not the rates applied at the resort.
The staff seemed to struggled with directives for guest orientation; the food at the Emerald lodge was mediocre and overpriced. The condition of the cabin was showing its age and no room service was performed because of COVID , although we were not told so at check in.
The overall impression is that of a poorly managed upper scale resort, which is quickly loosing its lustre.
I came here to go to the spa. It's $15 for guests not staying at the hotel. The spa is by a lake and you have a beautiful view of the mountains.
Wonderful service, clean rooms, fantastic food. Extra activities such as hockey and skating set up for guests to use for free very well set up. Highly recommended.
It's amazing all the activities available and they friendliness of the staff there. Definitely a great family location!
Spectacular way to see Jasper. Wonderful views and resort. The staff went out of there way to accommodate us! Big thanks to Alex who went above and beyond for us.
One more thing, the coffee/barista girl in the mornings was excellent!
Beautiful hotel! Love the rustic mountain feel to it. Great pool!!
Wonderful rooms and friendly service. The hotel even has a official dog that you can take for a walk.
Awesome hotel. like a 5 star summer camp. We had a blast. The rooms are rustic but very nice. Stand up paddle boarding on the lake is an awesome activity. There are tons of things to do on campus and also in Jasper. The restaurant is great, but pricy. The view from the deck is out of this world.
Most pleasurable experience I have had at a resort . Thank you
Great hotel with its own lake. Slightly away from the town, so you need your own vehicle to get around if you are staying at this property.
Awesome place to visit, the views are amazing, the food is to die for and the service unbelievable. A must see place to stay in Alberta.
So beautiful, amazing service, plenty of luxurious amenities included with resort fees. Fantastic value for your money. Hot tip: pre-buy the bed and breakfast package and save yourself $20 minimum per person! Just add it onto your reservation. (Breakfast buffet is $35 at the time of this review. Dec 23, 2019).
Not good value for money. The bungalows would have to be renovated or renewed. You pay mainly for the location on the lake and the hotel's golf course. If you're not into golf after jasper, there are better lodges in the park.
A great luxury experience. Some rooms are a bit dated but the service experience is top notch and everything from the car service to the staff's greeting are designed to make you feel at home in the mountains.
I guess should stay over here to enjoy and relax. I don t see spend any effort for the short trip here.
Amazing. We stopped here and paid to use the pool/hot tub for a bit after a long day of hiking and decided to spoil ourselves with dinner and drinks, not one bit disappointed even though the price was steep there are some amazing menu options and the bison burger with smoked duck shavings with sweet potato fries were amazing!
Were definitely stopping again as we drive by a couple times a year but have never stopped before.
Beautiful place to go and get away from it all. Wonderful staff and anything you need can be found right there no need too leave and you won't want to neither. Everyone deserves to go at least once in there life.
Very clean property and rooms. Had great breakfast buffet at the Orso restaurant. Extremely polite and helpful staff. Most amazing views of the mountains.
It was excellent. The staff were very kind and welcoming and there's even a number you can text for any requests. The location is only 15 minutes away from Jasper town. The only downside is that parking can be very difficult to find but if you drive up to the valet they will park for you.
Played the golf course in August.
This course should be on everyones bucket list.
Course was in great shape.
The views are amazing.
Like playing in a postcard .
Staff were excellent . More than willing to help in everyway they could .
Take the opportunity to have a great experience
Gorgeous location. It's a petty unique experience to stay here. Staff is amazing and they made our first time here unforgettable. Easy access to all amenities, even if not located in one building like regular hotels. There are a lot of activities organized, which makes the time spent here even more enjoyable.
Easter brunch was excellent. All items were delicious and view was amazing. I can tell a lot of effort was put forward to make this a special event and it was great.
We went there to play golf and we had a great time. The staff always go out of the way to make sure you are taken care of.
These facilities are no longer rustic; they have become run-down and dated.
Pleasant staff beautiful view. Nice set up room service
Amazing location and service! The pool and hot tub are da bomb!
Met a friend of mine for a beer while I was on vacation. Nice place, stayed previously but only for work events. Expensive, but good.
Not at all worth the cost of the stay. Multiple issues with the event, and had a concierge stereotype another attendant of the event.
I love coming here! It's the perfect place to escape from the city for a few days of relaxation. Great service, fantastic food and drink, and beautiful views all around. I recommend renting a pair of skates and getting out on the lake! Was most recently here for the Jasper Girls PJ Party Weekend, and it was incredible! I can't say enough great things about it, and am looking forward to going again next year!
The staff was very kind and helpful. However,
1. The wifi signal was so poor I couldn't even establish a connection to the wireless access point.
2. The shutters fail to block out the light (photo was taken at 10.15pm)
**BRIDES BEWARE!! HORRIBLE SERVICE FOR WEDDING**
My friend got married here. They spent a pretty penny on it but despite this, the service was APPALLING. I and two other girls were in charge of decor and set up for the wedding day.
1 - We arrived 4:00pm the evening before wedding to set up reception hall. The lodge was not cleaned up the room from a breakfast that day. Food all over the floor - it was disgusting. We came in and they said "We'll get it done soon. Just waiting on laundry for the table clothes" but no one was cleaning. We kept trying to chase down staff but they kept disappearing and not coming back. We were told there were 4 managers on site and we barely had ONE come in to help us. He seemed irritated at us for pestering him about the clean up.
2 - The staff asked us to show how to do the set up so they would do it overnight. We arrived at 8:00am the next morning to finish details. They had not finished. They set 14 of the 15 tables but did not finish the head table or vacuuming. The dirty bar used the day before had not been moved away and garbage was still in piles. Staff didn't seem to know who was going where or when someone was coming.
3 - We finished some cleaning and I finished vacuuming the last section of the room. Silverware and plates were on the side so we finished setting the table setting. There was not enough table settings for the head table. We asked staff if they could bring us some tableware so we could finish setting up the head table. They told us we were not allowed. Said "don't worry, it'll get done." So we went back to our place in town to get ready for the wedding. We returned at 12:30 and the reception room STILL was not ready. On top of that, Fairmont had not yet finished setting up the ceremony either. (This is 30 min before the ceremony). A couple times the staff told us "I'm sorry, there are 4 weddings today and we are busy." How frustrating is it that they can't plan ahead enough to hire enough staff to help for the amount of the weddings on their site. Then we were told it would be all be done after the ceremony. The ceremony was ready 15 minutes before start time.
4 - We returned after to finish the reception hall. Nothing had changed. Some of the stuff from the ceremony was brought in for us to use for the reception so we did what we could.
5 - While the bridal party was out taking pictures before the reception, the hotel had taken the men's suitcases from that night, put tags on them, and left them sitting in front of the hotel on the curb. Fairmont did not make arrangements for them to be put in a specific room for the bridal party to later pick up. We contacted the bridal party and collected their bags when we found out that they did not know the staff had left all their bags like they did.
6 - When the bridal party returned, we learned they had to walk everywhere on foot (except for the bride and groom) for photos. It was 30 degrees and they scheduled a Fairmont golf cart to bring everyone around but it didn't show up.
7 - Fairmont got the room all done 20 minutes before cocktail hour. We missed our plans with friends to make sure room was done. A groomsman asked for a coffee. The manager asked who for, and he said for the bridal party as well as us working girls. Manager said he can only give to the bridal party. We would have to go out to the lobby to buy our own. (Even though coffee would be served to everyone a couple hours later.)
8 - At the end of the night, most guests had no idea about our hassle. They just saw the finished product and that's all that mattered to us. We returned at 8:30 the next morning to clean up, and to our pleasant surprise, the room was all cleaned up. We wondered if we annoyed them enough to make them want us to just go away. If our pestering meant that the newly-wed couple had an easy morning the day after, then I'm happy we did what we did. Now if only they had done this the morning we originally came to set up...
All I can say, is "Good riddance." - I'll be recommending future weddings to head to Banff.
We visited the grounds and the lodge but did not stay. During the Christmas in November, the lodge transforms into a magical place with a full human sized gingerbread house magnificent Christmas trees and decorations. We felt especially welcomed when they created us some hot chocolates for the kids and a perfect latte for us. I love it here.
Beautiful location, comfortable, well appointed rooms, welcoming staff.
We recently stayed at JPL for 4 nights over New Years and I was not satisfied with my experience which compelled this review.
To begin, I am a Fairmont Club Member and the check in process was extremely slow. There were 2 groups checking in before us and it took at least a half hour before we were finally checked in. When we did finally check in, it took no more that 5 minutes. I don't get it.
Then after check in we drove to our room. Upon entering our cabin it was extremely cold inside and was sitting at a brisk 15C. I turned the heat up and for the first night it would not exceed 17C. I called to inquire and was told that their heating system was running at full capacity and that they would send maintenance by. Their solution was a space heater. When paying over $400 a night for a room, one should have a reasonable expectation of comfort which we did not receive.
If that was not enough, upon check out, we noticed an add-on to our bill of a $20 resort fee per day. Remember I'm a Fairmont Club Member and I was never charged this before. I don't mind paying $400 or more a night, and I can live with paying $30 for a burger or $30 for a salad or nachos in any of their restaurants. I get it. Guests are paying for the experience and beauty. However, to start charging an additional $20 per day for a resort fee that should already be incurred in the over inflated prices is nothing but a cash grab in my respectful opinion.
I'm not saying I will never stay here again, but it will be a long time especially considering all the other availability in Jasper and I urge whoever is reading this to consider the same.
Amazing scenery, nice clean cozy cabin units. The main Lodge has lots to offer, great food, drinks, souvenirs, and history.
But most of all the Staff, very friendly and helpful.
This isn't a reflection on the beautiful hotel lobby where we sat and drank our coffees, but I went with a friend to have coffee and went to the coffee shop downstairs. There was a bit of a line which is fine, when we got to the front (there was only one person behind us) the manager was in an argument with the girl on the till about something while the other girl watched and joined in the argument where she needed to. We were waiting another few minutes for service while awkwardly witnessing an argument. It was unprofessional and should not have been happening in front of waiting customers. They should have excused themselves to sort it out or waited until there was noone waiting to be served.
Rustic cabin with a twist, a place for serenity surrounded by Nature
I don t write a lot of reviews at all, but after dining at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. I was blown away by the service we received from Carlos who was our server on Sep 7, 2020. He was very kind and accommodating. We not only enjoyed the delicious food but also the service that we received. You could even tell that Carlos was always smiling under his mask. Truly remarkable and my hats off to this gentleman. Cheers!
Wow. Symphony under the Sky VIP package was the most amazing experience I have ever had in my life. It was my first time staying at the Fairmont. The entire experience was all encompassing from my first interaction with the staff and the amazing views and smells and warmth. The food was incredible. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I will recommend this experience it was a 10/10. The service at the Fairmont is unbeatable.
We stay at the JPL every year for our anniversary, and they always treat us so well. Plus, there's a resident doggo!
Best patio for a late afternoon cocktail in Jasper hands down!
The sky viewing was hugely overpriced and not worth a small fraction of the cost
Great dining experience at The Nook. Also enjoyed the coffee shop on the lower level.
My favourite Fairmont in the Rockies. Unique set up, rooms have been updated more recently. The staff is phenomenal, they really care about your stay. Food was excellent as well. Driving the 93 when you go from Calgary is such an amazing drive. Highly recommend
Lake Beauvert was amazing and relaxing. The doors to each room are on the outside, though.
Nice location, family friendly, good service. but lodges are basic, not too clean and dated. There may also be some more shuttle services to the center and especially to Marmot Basin, very limited for such a park. Price quality of food is expensive
Went to the leisure facilities, hot tub was great, pool just the right temp. Staff were professional helpful and welcoming
At the rates charged the stay was exceptionally disappointing.
The location of the Jasper Park Lodge really seems to be the only selling point.
We stayed in a cabin by Lake Beauvert with our 2 children. The room was mediocre. We had to ask for even basic service let alone service you would expect from an upper end resort.
Bedding was only supplied for 2 people despite the fact our reservation was for 4. Garbage was never cleared from the room. There were not enough cups or supplies for a 4 day stay in terms of coffee/tea. No water bottles. Basically no room amenities.
While I understand the need to necessitate changes in service, ie, we didn't expect our bed to be made or towels changed unless asked, at more than $600/night one would expect enough bedding an basic amenities let alone garbage removal.
There were definitely not enough people on staff to support the number of people staying. Every service free or paid for was always backed up and what minimal staff were present were overworked. The boathouse in particular had staff run ragged.
Fairmont is clearly trading on what used to be the good name of JPL.
I really can't emphasize how disappointing this was at the exorbitant rate paid.
I just feel ripped off.
It's a very good Hotel. Very Exclusive. The view is amazing !!!
For us it was a stopover to join the Rocky Mountaineer train. Dinner in the main bar was simple but excellent quality. The best bit was the staff, without exception they were top class. Worth staying there if you are in this part of the Rockies.
Hotel well located, but price really not justified for the quality of the rooms and their lack of systematic view. We are generally far from a real luxury hotel but more of a factory (comfortable) to tourists. Overall disappointing. The restaurant Moose nook is rather to avoid: dinner in the dark, without any view and really excessive price for a good quality but nothing more.
Premier resort in Jasper in the style of a classic Lodge with rooms on main building and cabins facing the lake. The vista from the hotel is fabulous. There is a Great Room with bar, restaurant and lounge all combined into one with live music nightly. The Nook Restaurant adjoins the Great Room. Also has Orso restaurant and coffee bar. Spa, Salon, Fitness center, Boat house with all kinds of water toys, Pools, Hot tub, Golf course, and a onsite Planetarium! No need to leave resort but Jasper town is nearby as our several lakes including the famous Lake Maligne.
Beautiful. I have never stayed here but I love to come and hang around the property.
