My husband and I (both global travellers) spent 2 N at this property and i was not overly impressed.
I'm currently at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and see a recurring theme as far as customer skills and service go.

Back to the Jasper Lodge:

1. Check-in: the front desk area felt like a large bus station with lots of people milling in and about. I do understand it's a big property but solutions can be implemented. Check in was quick with lots of info crammed in 7 minutes. I did the pre-check in via email and am not sure if it made any difference to the entire process.

2. Guest Room: in dire need of renovation. Very dull corporate look & feel with some peeling on the panels. Sockets for recharging smart phones only on one side of the bed.

3. Food & Beverage: To be honest, we didn't enjoy the food. I had a sea food risotto & my husband a quinoa salad. We asked for a special breakfast and they accommodate d us. 5/5 for this to the staff. This was very nice and our thanks to the staff & management. The f&b staff were polite and attentive.

In conclusion, the customer pays a high price for being in the park. I get this. The downside - impersonal service on the whole, considering we spent $ 558/night for the room.

This is the 2 Fairmont hotel I've stayed at and it fell short of our expectations, sorry to say, even more so - speaking as an ex-Accor employee.

The resort is absolutely lovely. The resort is sitting on a large lake. You can go paddle boarding for free or use the available mountain bikes to venture around (we did a easy 10km ride around the resort). The best Fairmount in Alberta

We went to JPL Jan 17-20th 2020 and booked a signature Cabin: "Ridgeline 1" (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, amazing kitchen and living space with a huge table for playing games!). This was our second time staying at JPL, but the first time in a signature cabin -- It was incredible! When booking a signature cabin you are treated like absolute royalty with their butler service...hands down the greatest service!!! A massive thank you to the butlers James, Isaac, Shayne and Karin (as well as the bells, JP and Cory and Paddy, and the house keepers and turn down service providers!). Anything we needed, they promptly provided. They also provided complimentary rides around the lodge property, and into town/back. It was my husband's birthday and they surprised us with a charcuterie board, wine, and a tray of desserts! They also surprised us with a welcome package for our dog! ADORABLE! The lodge is pet friendly and the butlers even arranged to have our dog let out when we were skiing. The outdoor heated pool and hot tub were perfect after a long day too! Skating on lake mildred was perfect - they have a skating loop, 2 hockey rinks and a zamboni to keep the ice as smooth as possible! Skate rentals were easy from their activity centre, and Paddy even returned them for us when we were done.
We could not have had a better experience at JPL! Highly recommended! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

Gorgeous location, amazing staff, and great facilities. I really appreciated the attention to COVID-19 safety - kudos to the staff for working tirelessly to maintain these measures. It s nice that the lake is free of boats in the mornings and evenings to enjoy the serenity. Also, we ate dinner and breakfast here and the food and service was top notch!

Take advantage of the closed borders and visit before the hordes of overseas bus tours come back, it won t last.

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend! They emailed us early to let us know that our room was ready for check-in. Upon arrival, it was very easy - we pulled up, they gave us our keys and on our way we went. Our room was absolutely More

Another outstanding Fairmont property nestled in the famous Canadian Rockies living up to the Fairmont guarantee of customer satisfaction. One surprise is the Oka Japanese sushi bar tucked away in the lower level of the main lodge. Truly a hidden gem offering fantastic sushi and sashimi freshly prepared before your own eyes by an experienced Japanese Chef, a must try for anyone visiting the JPL

The setting of the hotel is wonderful. There is a very nice walk around the lake with beautiful scenery. The amenities in the main lodge are great, as well - welcoming staff, warm fires and a very nice spa area.

The rooms, on the other hand, are just okay. They are definitely nice, but not as luxurious as the rest of the resort. I can only imagine how busy this resort would be during the summer time.

I loved our stay there
Cabins can be a bit fancier but the location and view are so beautiful
Me and my family went there winter time but I ll be for sure planning a summer visit

I had to check out very early at 4am and asked if I could buy a packed sandwich the evening before. Unfortunately, the place that sells them had already closed for the night. However, an Emerald Lounge manager went above and beyond and had some to-go food packed and delivered to my room while I was out. I experienced only exceptional service during my stay at the lodge, thank you! Also thank you Kasandra (I hope I've spelt it right) for the latte, you were very sweet! Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

The room was nice! We didn't realize there was a hide-a-bed until we were checking out. The fireplace was great and we had all the supplies we needed for it. Breakfast was fantastic and it was really easy to get out on the lake with a kayak from the JPL dock.

Had dinner here before doing the planetarium they have on site. Hotel looks great. Grounds and location excellent. Food was good. Staff friendly. The night time planetarium worth the experience. Very knowledgeable and passionate staff. Due to time of year we had a long wait for dark.. 11pm or so.. . Hotel staff were lovely as happy to make us hot chocolate late at night after close of the bar.. while cleaning up. Just what we needed to warm us up as we had been out doors in the cold waiting for the night to get dark. Was a great night.

This is my favourite vacation resort...anywhere!

I ve been lucky enough to stay at Jasper Park Lodge several times for different occasions and have enjoyed it every time. The staff always makes me feel welcome and at home (but a much better home that my own)! The atmosphere, the lodge, the comfortable rooms, and that amazing pool always spoil me. Recently many of the rooms have been renovated and if there is anything ever not up to Fairmont s impeccably high standards, the staff goes beyond what is needed to restore my 5-star experience. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

We stayed several nights at JPL. The interior of the lodge is gorgeous and the service is excellent. The staff was very helpful in extending our accommodation when our train was late. The live entertainment provided was fantastic. There are lots of things to do on the grounds: skating, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, swimming on the outdoor heated pool. You can also rent spikes for your shoes to hike to Maligne canyon which is highly recommended.

The only issue we had was with the limited selection of menu items and everything is very expensive. That being said, they have free shuttles to the town where you ll find a better selection.

Way too overpriced! $30 for nachos and $29 for a beer and Clamato/stale beef jerky? Plus, a $20 gratuity tip that's tossed on because?

Nah, get your hand outta my wallet and let Me Decide how abysmal your service is.

We stayed here for three nights and received nothing but the best service. The room was very clean and comfortable with coffee and tea and a mini fridge. Reception was quick and we were offered help with our bags. They have a very sweet dog living in the lobby that you can walk if you want. The lobby is beautiful and very welcoming. The staff is so friendly and answered all our questions. The food was delicious. I booked a haircut and manicure and was so happy with my treatment at the spa. Our entire holiday at the lodge was so amazing and relaxing. I would absolutely come back here.

One of the most beautiful resort locations in the world, with cabins surrounding one end of the crystal-like lake. The lodge itself is rustic and grandiose all at the same time. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing stopping me from making it a 5 Star review is recent changes to the dog area in the lodge. It's now in the back of the reception area, kindof feeling like Santa's penalty box in the winter. We were told this was because of a few bad behaving dogs (which means owners of course), which I think has an easier solution... don't allow bad bahaviour such as going off leash... rather than wrecking a good thing for everyone with dogs. Unfortunately this will stop us from driving the extra hour to go through Jasper as our primary reason was the amazing lounge we could go with Jake (please change back).... p.s. we did also have a good chuckle over the new treats in the dog package - Jake just said "no" to vegan :)

Update January 2017: I am happy to report that the dog friendly area in the lodge is vastly improved. They have added more couches with wider views. Also the removal of the gingerbread house helped a lot! We're spending a spectacular weekend here for my birthday. So beautiful!!

This is a world-class course offering great water and sand features to go along with the challenging layout of dog-legs and well-used hills. The entire course is very well maintained and is surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Keep an eye out for wildlife on the course. We saw a family of elk, some white-tailed deer, and there were reports of a bear. If you intend to play this course for the weekend, consider staying at the Jasper Park Lodge for quick and easy access to the clubhouse. There's no bad day on this golf course!

Jasper is extremely beautiful and the location of the Jasper Lodge is beautiful but when I walked in my room it felt like I should have been paying $50.00 dollars a night instead of the high amount paid. The heater was hanging off the wall and could have easily cut someone's leg, the ceiling was damaged and the carpet floor was sticky. The room was like a sweat lodge with no AC and the tub had no anti slip in it. I almost fell 3 times. Need less to say I was supposed to stay 2 night for my company event but I will be checking out after tonight. Very expensive but if you are only interested in the views then you may like it.

Food was cold. Service for breakfast was slow, and the manager was barely apologetic about our dining experience and discounts for that were minimal. The server was honest that most people complain about the food because the kitchen is far from the dining room. They offered us complimentary juices and then charged us for them... kids were free but they charged us for their fruit...

Because of covid there are many regulations. Only allowed in the pool for 1 hour and only 20 ppl at a time.

Otherwise we had a great stay. The lake is beautiful.

The large hotel covering 700acre is a few cabins, very simple feeling! There are slides and fine sands for children to play, tennis courts for badminton, and croquet, golf, and especially the lake view. Guests staying at the hotel can pedal for an hour for free! The room is a bit small and old, but very clean!

Good hotel with nice view.

The JPL is a super mountain Lodge base camp. Take on the complex trails that circulate through the incredible landscape that surrounds the lodge. Incredible restaurants, shops, pool, and spa, and rental services such as bikes, canoes, kayaks, and equipment. Most all, a scenic, relaxing, and special place.

We really loved our stay here. The accommodations were great and the staff was super friendly and willing to help with any request. The best part of the lodge is the location. It is truly remote and it feels like it. Plus we saw lots of huge elk. It was awesome.

Wonderful lodge in the Rocky mountains. There is a tranquil little lake right in front of the hotel and cabins. The lounge in the hotel is a nice place to relax in the evening and the dinner room is a great fine dining experience. I recomend staying in one of the cabins, and don't be started if you bump into some Elk on the walk back to your cabin. Book ahead as this is a very popular place in peak seasons. There is also a Worldclass golf resort here and riding stables that can take you on rides I to the mountains.

Nice place, decent rooms, very expensive, like $30 for a burger. Paid for a room with a "lake view", was able to see a sliver of the lake through the trees. Disappointed that paid for a room with a view. Complimentary skate/toboggan rentals

This review regards one of the hotel s restaurants, not the hotel itself.

Food at the Great Hall Gastro Pub was just ok and the service was worse than at a gas station.

The waitress didn t bring napkins and cutlery. So when the food came we couldn t eat.

We asked another staff member to bring us the cutlery and napkins but my friend was having an icecream and there was no spoon. When the spoon finally came, the icecream was already melting.

Such an awful service and nothing special food in such a magical location. It s a shame.

The hotel s premises are wonderful with beautiful flowers everywhere and astonishing views to the lake.

The grounds are beautiful but the rooms are a bit dated outside the main lodge where we stayed (in the cabins). Also the soundproofing is non existent and the rooms very small. Pretty much what you would expect from cabins and a lodge but not for Fairmont prices.

I didnt stay here, only stopped in to see the lodge, shop a bit, and have a drink. Great views and super friendly staff. My drink was a little expensive, but the view and quality of that drink made it well worth it. Super clean place and I d definitely return.
