This is a top level hotel. The staff are courteous and always willing to help. The food is absolutely devine, and I can't say enough good things about the hot tub, pool, or steam room. The whole experience is just amazing. The pool is open from 7 to 10 Monday to Thursday. Weekends it's open until 11 pm. There is a convenience store inside if you need the essentials. I didn't attend the restaurant this time as we had buffet styles for our group, but the restaurant serves some awesome food.

I did not actually stay at the Fairmont Hotel, but spent a fair amount of time doing the bike trails all around the rivers!! The views were stunning, and the trails we're smooth so it was great for walking or biking! We even ended up seeing some large female deer right on the Fairmont property! Had a beautiful time!!

Did not stay here we only visited the hotel to spend time at the lake. The grounds are very pretty and the lake is beautiful. When we went to the grounds there were Caribou just wandering around. The only problem was the parking lot was full so it was hard to find a spot to park. The main building is beautiful and the concierge was so helpful in helping us find things to do in Jasper.

Everything is lovely there, the royal treatment you have from everyone surpasses expectations, we realized we we were traveling back to BC at the road that my wife forget her sunglasses and cover, she called the lost and found, they found it, took our address in BC and mailed it to us, you really are in Vacation when you go there !

For the price you pay to stay here... rooms were so small, bathroom was rusting and everything was run down. We personally had problems with the receptionist saying our rooms were cancelled and went through a huge fiasco about that. Turned out the receptionist "didn't look at the correct, updated room page"..... A good thing is that the scenery and trails around the lodge are amazing. But in the end you pay WAY too much for what you get.

Spacious cabin, with an amazing breakfast view, could use some upgrades, like new windows and screens (had a squirrel enter the cabin when we let fresh air in ). The trails around the lodge are a great walk, and the pool is amazing especially around dusk time.

A+

Dropped in unannounced (not hotel guests) with a group of kids, hoping to buy them a hot chocolate. Staff made us feel really welcome and we ended up with the kids being offered free hot chocolate and marshmallows to toast!

This is the best iconic hotel i ever had during my trip in Canadian Rookies. The views are superb, the staff are very kind and care to our needs, and room design is wooden luxurious. The lobby lounge is great and feels homey. Outside the main building is beautiful lake beauvert which the hotel offers 1 hour free paddle boats for staying guest. Canoes, kayaks, bikes can be rented. Also there are many other activities such as hitting the gyms, playing golfs and tennis, spas, dinings, gatherings, and much more. Overall, this is great hotel. Welldone!

I've been visiting the JPL for years and they are consistently an excellent hotel. Some of the rooms are dated, but most of them have been updated, including the washrooms. The Lodge blends a cozy camp feeling with luxury. What the accommodations can lack, the service of the staff makes up the difference. Just ask and you'll have it. The staff are truly outstanding.

One thing that is lacking and not improving is the food onsite. The prices are very high, even for Jasper, and the quality isn't there. I understand that COVID has been disastrous for the service and hospitality industry, but that doesn't mean that the customers should be taken to town for the difference. One glowing spot is Oka Sushi in the basement; the food is outstanding and of great value.

The hotel is pet friendly for an additional $50/night. There's plenty of trails to take your pet for a walk, but you must keep them on a leash.

The Lodge isn't your standard 5-star property with new buildings and ostentatious design, but that vintage 1930s vibe is what makes it a 5-star stay. It's the ultimate glamping with the stars.

One of the best Fairmonts ! We have stayed at many of the Fairmonts throughout western Canada and find the staff to be the friendliest and most accommodating here. We recently had the privilege of staying in one of the Ridgeline cabins which are newly renovated. Highly recommend for a small group or large family.

The beautiful Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is perfectly placed to observe the spectacular setting along the lake with mountain views. The wonderful staff are knowledgeable about the hotel, and also the town and park. Would be happy to stay or stop by again. Be sure to check out the course if you're a golfer.

Generally a very lovely place. We had a disappointing meal during which we were served stale bread and uncooked vegetables. They were very apologetic and gave us some chocolate dipped strawberries as recompense. Hot tub and heated pool were great and the games room was excellent fun. Close proximity to Jasper which is well worth exploring.

I've eaten at Fairmont JPL twice now. Both times have been wonderful and the staff have been very nice both times. The food has been amazing and the atmosphere cannot be best anywhere else in Jasper.

Our stay at FJPL was a wonderful experience. Rooms were very clean and we loved the detached feel of the room like you were in your own personal cabin. Food was amazing the whole weekend and I am looking forward to our next stay.

Such an amazing place where great memories are always made! Recently attended the Christmas in November event and was so overwhelmed in the best way possible by all of the events while there!

Very good hotel, nice pool, beautiful park, activities offered on the lake (interesting rate for 2 hours), wait a little long early in the morning for breakfast because of groups. We did not try the dinners.

Scenery is beautiful, common spaces are nice but not spectacular, food is pricey and just ok. Rooms are pretty rundown. My toilet didn t flush properly, the door to my unit wouldn t close (let alone lock), and the paint was chipping off the walls in my room.

Really wish Fairmont would be a better steward of these grand old Canadian Rockies properties, but it doesn t seem like they have any interest in investing in proper upkeep.

Every Stay is Simply Magical! By far my favourite Canadian destination. The only thing that makes leaving easier is knowing I will return next year. I love the rustic honesty, charm and warmth of the guest cabins and main lodge. A stay at JPL is always rejuvenating! The eucalyptus steam room, spa and pool/hot tub are heavenly, rooms lovely, views awe inspiring, food and beverages top notch, staff always so welcoming and friendly, delivering a world class guest experience. Special thanks to Michael (Emerald Lounge), Abigail & Stephanie (Guest Services) and John (Valet) for the amazing hospitality!

Private three bedroom, three bathroom. Cabin, with Lake view.
Whistler's Cabins.
Real Fireplace, massive room plus kitchenette, private back deck looking out on lake. Heated pool at main lodge was amazing in the cold winter air! 5-star services, fantastic bar and restaurants, winter fun activities galore- we walked across a frozen lake! Highly recommend!!! $$$$

Breakfast was good - Tyler was a great server and made our morning so much brighter!

Our room felt a little like glorified camping, we had no AC and it was very hot (apparently we had unseasonably warm temps), but they moved us to another room, which was helpful.

Views are amazing .

This place is incredible! We were actually staying at another hotel but came over one morning for their buffet breakfast and to have a look around etc. The buffet breakfast was fairly expensive however it was worth every penny. All the Staff was really friendly even though we were not guests. I will be planning a trip here to stay sometime soon. Thanks!

This review is not based on my stay but the lack of customer service from the Fairmont. Our friends are no longer having their wedding at JPL, and we wanted to cancel our reservation. My partner called in December to cancel, as the wedding is in June (within the 30 days of notice) and has yet to receive a refund. She has called multiple times and everyone keeps sending her to the accounting department, but no longer has called her back. I would be careful when booking your reservation that you are 100% committed to going - otherwise you will find yourself in the same headache we are currently in trying to get in touch with someone in accounting.

we called the hotel around 8 am the morning before we were arriving and asked if we can check in earlier so we can get on the highway from Edmonton earlier, we were told to simply arrive and let the check in counter know we are here, after arriving at approximately at 12:30pm we were told that our room would take around 30 mins to be cleaned, we were also told that we would be sent a text when the room is ready, after waiting for 3 hours and checking with the counter three times we were told that a text was sent to us which wasn t! That leaves us with one hour to shower and get ready for our 4Pm reservations in town, we were sent out to our room about a 5 min drive, to find a simple room with no bottled water of any sort to drink, I personally could have cleaned the entire room in 20 mins but it s clear that we were not a priority to them! The evening comes and we are trying to sleep when every 10-15 mins the power lock of the backdoor keeps making a sound like it s locking! The toilet is running water all night long, the clock is ticking so loud that I had to remove the battery from it! Over all this was the worst Experience I ve ever had from a supposed luxury resort! This is absolutely disappointing! When someone drives 4 hours to come spend some quiet and peaceful time and wants to spend their hard earned money in this establishment think twice before you come here, I won t be ever Again!

BEAUTIFUL Lobby and main buildings. Lovely grounds. Parking a bit tough at times. Great lounge entertainment.** Esp a gentleman who plays the guitar and sings beautifully. He is on a 2 yes contract there apparently. Not to be missed. We were at hotel for 5 days in June. Best thing about the JPL.. their STAFF. TOP NOTCH. WORLD CLASS STANDARD TRAINED. Friendly, attentive. Hats off to their Service Training. The only downside to our stay. The pool chairs were all taken. Many by just used towels that sat for hours. Not by people. We tried to wait for a lounge chair. We could tell quite a few were vacated already but a wet towel remained. Even later in the afternoon. Perhaps a policy should be in place, as in many hotels. The pool water was Way too hot. That was a general comment from many guests.

Way to go firing all your probationary staff in a time of crisis... where do you expect them to go!?! You could atleast give them the option to pay rent and stay till the pandemic passes.. your risking their lives forcing them to move and travel!! Absolutely disgraceful the lot of you!!! You should be seriously ashamed of yourselves!!
I hope everyone sees this review and refuses to stay with you in the future!!!

Fantastic room with an unbelievable view. Was upgraded to a lake view unit. Quiet, cosy, comfy bed, stunning view, great balcony. Restaurant was quick with great service, a short drive to the Jasper town site or a very scenic 60 minute walk. A little expensive but oh do great. Glad to spoil myself.

Great points are now outnumbered by negative ones.
Clearly many leadership issues within the organization.
Concierge has a mind of their own and is very disconnected.
Prepare to overpay for most things on the property.
