Wonderful service and delicious food. Try the Italian restaurant, you won't be disappointed!
Wonderful service and delicious food. Try the Italian restaurant, you won't be disappointed!
Small room with small beds , wasn t able to check in until almost 5 pm but had to check out at 10am , no late checkout allowed.. We were told we would have a room with a patio and we didn t, it was also supposed to have a microwave.. it did not.
They don t provide bottled water Which is fine but would be nice to have when walking around the resort and such.
We went to get a peddle boat they kept telling me and my kids were next in line and they would grab us when it was our turn, and then kept letting someone go in front of us.
The staff were great at the restaurants and pretty accommodating and the view was unbeatable but staying here was not worth the $$
They re not cleaning the rooms daily because of Covid but also failed to let us know about this.
Prob my least favourite of the fairmonts.
A magical place, the lake is exceptional to be there, to paddle, canoe, kayak there is rent, the view of the restaurant also amazing, beautiful. And the first facilities
Good service. They were able to get us an early room the morning of our arrival due to last-minute changes. Redeemed points for the stay - probably would not pay to stay during high season
Fantastic experience. Course was in nice shape. Great customer service.
Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere, good food.
Recently attended an HPEC conference at FJPL.the accommodations were fantastic and the housekeeping staff even organized the room. The staff was accommodating however there were several issues with catering service. Coffee was often empty, no plates were supplied for snack fruit tray or spoons for yoghurt and the social meal was underwhelming. The burgers burnt on the outside yet raw in the middle.
Great location and aesthetics... Room service not great
I was there just to see the Dark Sky Festival which was amazing, I was however, very disappointed by the staff working at the event, the stood around in a group by the fire at the Subaru tent and talked loudly while we were trying to enjoy the music. You would think they would know better, my friend even went over and please keep it down you are rather distracting but their volume was right back up again in minutes. But other than that the staff that I had any interaction with were just lovely and if we decide to go to the Festival again next year we would likely stay at the Jasper Park Lodge.
Really friendly hotel. But the weather is not good all day long, so I can't enjoy it properly. It's old, so the room is a little bit old
We had a lovely time at the Jasper Park Lodge. Wonderful hotel room, walking paths and great food. One of our favorite places to go!
Beautiful hotel, very accommodating staff and the spa is incredible. We have been here 4 years in a row and it keeps getting better!
The atmosphere and the tranquility are perfect, but it's a little bother to go eating. The staff were not good at some people. The fireplace in the main hall is wonderful in winter
Main reason for this low rating is price quality. Paying 1300 cad a night for a 1 bedroom with two double beds that are actually only 1.5 in size in any other hotel I stayed in.
We were sure to have booked a two bedroom suite for 5 adults ( the confirmation said it was two doubles, my mistake for not seeing that), but I also had twice telephone contact and it was not made clear at any point in conversations.
This was supposed to be the highlight of our Canada stay but turns out to be the most expensive anticlimax ever, overshadowing our stay, realizing we are stuck here another night with both our grandparents stuffed in two small beds next two each other.
Rest of the service (room service busy, then did not call back twice, slow (waiting 55min now on pizza and counting versus 35min projected wait), items on menu not available, staff not properly informed..) also below par so far but I don't feel like further elaborating on our stay here - Fairmont never again.
To bad during a normal stay, but for 1300 a night they do not offer the quality and service they try to represent.
In my opinion I find the JPL is quite medicor. Definitely the nicest place to stay in Jasper, but it is quite dated. The grounds are beautiful and the communal areas are definitely worthy of a Fairmont hotel but the rooms are nothing special and for $300+ dollars a night I would recommend saving your money and staying somewhere less expensive and go skiing for an extra day.
We went looking for a good meal away from downtown Jasper and that can cater to vegetarians. The options here were as limited as in downtown and for the price it didn't feel like any improvement so we decided to leave. I'm sure the food is fabulous if you eat meat, but for vegetarians no so much
Amazing place, great service. Would return in a hurrh
There is no Air conditioning in the room when it s 31 degree outside. This is the first hotel i have ever been that has no A/C. Can anyone believe this is a $600 level hotels.
My husband and I wanted to spend a relaxing weekend in Jasper with our two young ones so we splurged a little bit and booked the Junior Lakeview Suite with wood burning fireplace. We were not disappointed and had a wonderful weekend!
We never experienced a quicker check-in process than the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge! I had checked-in via onine the day before and upon arrival, we received our room keys from the doorman without having to leave our vehicle! The suite is absolutely beautiful, clean and spacious although we did not get a room with a whirlpool which I had requested with our booking. I would suggest a doormat or a boot tray at the entrance to the suite. Since we visited in the midst of winter, the snow and grit from our boots left muddy water and sand all over the tiled floor just in inside the entrance.
The service we received from all the staff at the property was fabulous. Every time we needed a shuttle to the main building, it came within a few minutes. Our kids loved the pool and the amenities provided in the change/shower rooms were very convenient. We ordered room service for dinner and it was delivered quickly and the food was superb. My personal favourite would be the breakfast buffet though my husband thinks different. He really wanted a waffle but couldn't have any since the waffles and french toast were loaded with blueberries, strawberries and raspberries. He is allergic to berries (and I am sure he isn't the only one) so my suggestion would be to provide a selection without the extra toppings. There was also a bit of a mix-up when it came to the bill. The server charged the full kids price for the breakfast buffet even though both our kids were 5 and under. I located another server who quickly resolved the issue by refunding the difference since we had paid in cash.
Our only real disappointment was that there wasn't enough snow on the toboggan hill (our kids were really looking forward to tobogganing!). We will just have to time it better for our next trip to Jasper!
Beautiful clean room in a gorgeous setting!! Amazing staff!
Can't go wrong with Fairmont. Beautiful property that provides a unique resort experience.
They could be more caring at the front desk but the hotel is just lovely. Very relaxing.
I was in the bar on the main floor. Food was amazing and the hiberating grizzly is to die for. Just wish my waitress was a little more attentive and brought the chips and pretzels faster.
I was here for a conference. The food was fantastic, accommodations were clean and comfortable. As much as I don't want to see snow in April, the snow during my stay was beautiful. They arranged lots of great activities for our group which was great.
Stayed in one of the lodge rooms. Not as swanky as some of the others at the lodge but clean, comfortable and very nice.
Beautiful outdoor poor and hot tub. Drinks on the outdoor patio of the Emerald Lounge and dinner at ORSO restaurant were both great.
Fantastic landscape and geographical location at the lake. On arrival one of 2 confirmed rooms was not reserved. Meals were rather sparse. Wanted to drink with our 18 year old and 2 younger siblings Prosecco, which was also brought to the table. However, it was then pointed out in an unnecessarily instructive conversation that the children are not allowed to drink it due to local legislation. Why was he brought then? The upholstery of the foyer furniture partly stained. An expensive disappointment in an aged Fairmont m. E is far from the 4 star status.
Highlight of our visit to Jasper. We come here every year to celebrate our anniversary (9 years strong) and decided to treat ourselves.
The ambiance alone of the main lobby makes us miss JPL. Our visit was mid November and the lobby was decked out for Christmas. Enjoying some drinks and meals in the Emerald lounge was full of great memories. The staff here always have their A game and made us feel right at home. Outdoor heated pool was amazing as well, you can't get better views of the mountains while soaking away, drink in hand. It would be unfair to give a perfect review so if I must find a negative, the parking. Not much parking available nearby to most of the rooms so be there early to find a good spot. Normally I don't mind parking farther away and walking but with a toddler in tow, a five minute walk can take up to 30 minutes depending on what distractions are nearby.
TLDR: Love this place, can't wait to come again next anniversary and we plan to stay much longer than 2 nights!
Great food, great service, great location. The secret trifecta to a top notch dining experience. Will definitely be back
Just absolutely beautiful I'm going to book there, just went to check it out
This is a lovely location for a retreat. It has its own ice skating loop, a lovely outdoor heated pool and hot tub and great restaurants. The food is fantastic and they have live music in the large common area with lovely fireplaces and the Mooses Nook has a live pianist. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is some of the units need renovation.
Beautiful scenery with amazing facilities. Friendly people and great service.
Stayed two nights in Sept 2108. Room is typical Fairmont room.....average,no bath robes, bed good. Food in lounge terrible..hamburger meat dry and hard ++. Weeds ++on path to room and cement breaking away on step to show reinforcing rods! Generally the woodwork throughout the buildings is in poor to average condition....needs a paint. Must be better hotels in town! Location out of town....shuttle bus.
A great location in Jasper to go for a coffee and walk around Lake Beauvert.
The service at the Lodge is outstanding. The staff are incredible, and the food extraordinary. I stay here regularly and always feel welcome and they always treat my children so wonderfully. I highly recommend a stay at JPL for the scenery and the service.
This is our "Happy Gilmore" place. Peace and tranquility surrounded by the opulence of the Rocky Mountains. As always the staff was outstanding but somehow on this trip they surpassed themselves by going above and beyond when we had a question about the new thermostat in our room. We cannot say enough about the Lodge and recommend it to all of our friends who are visiting from far away.
In the exterior this place looks great and feels great. My room, a cabin room, was not very clean. It was full of animal hair and extremely dusty. The food here is outrageously expensive and only mediocre. You're best off making the 10 minute drive into Jasper for food. The people were very friendly and courteous though.
The restaurants here are all great and the staff is really friendly and accommodating.
I'd strongly recommend this place to my friends. The room may not be that impressive but the entire property is simply beyond 5 stars. The health club is superb! also lots to do by the lake.
Love Jasper!! It's one of my favorite places in the mountains. Incredible service and great people all around! We visit every year!
Ah yes, Canada s post card. This place really has it all. What I like most is the blend of accessibility and hospitality. Even if you are stopping in for a round of golf, bite to eat, or simply walking the grounds, the staff and atmosphere are bar none. You do not need to be royalty to experience the fine amenities of this national gem. Stop in for a canoe around the lake or have a patio beer and enjoy the view. If you ever get the chance, come to JPL for a world class experience.
Wonderful experience at the JPL. The rooms were clean and well kept. The parking was the only challenge on a busy weekend. Staff were friendly and facilities were excellent. Will be back!
Lunch was lovely, our server was a huge sweetheart.
Our main reason for going was to attend Allan Waidman's soapstone carving workshop. This was fantastic and Allan & his wife were very knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging throughout the entire workshop. I recommend them to everyone and I hope they are invited back by Fairmont JPL again!
The wildlife of Jasper National Park is within walking distance if you can't find it within 1m of your room.
even if you aren't staying here you should visit the property. There is guest parking and the lobby and grounds are beautiful. We rented a canoe on the lake. it was beautiful!
All the staff were helpful and took extra precautions to ensure that everything was clean and sanitary. Thank you.
Fantastic accommodation, location, amenities, and service! This couldn't have been a better way to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and unwind in nature, but still have the modem conveniences of an upscale hotel to snuggle into at night. The fireplace was a fantastic feature in the room. I can't wait to go back!
Had a fabulous experience staying at the Fairmont Jasper! As with all Fairmont hotels, there is a certain level of experience you come to expect and Jasper is no different! After a long drive, and day of exploring along the Icefields Parkway, and Jasper National Park, it was great to relax in our cozy room! We were greeted by friendly staff who made check-in a breeze and guided us to our cabin. My partner used the amenity guide and contacted ahead so there were birthday cupcakes waiting in the room for me, which was a really nice surprise! We stayed in the lakeside suite, the room was spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the views from the lakeside suite were lovely! We ordered room service for dinner and it was excellent; the food arrived in a timely manner and the gentleman who brought it came in and set everything up for us. The food itself was hot and very delicious! We woke up and caught the sunrise, checked out using email which was very convenient and continued to explore beautiful Jasper! I'm already looking forward to returning in the summer for warm weather explorations!
Nice surrounding, a very large resort property with well spreaded out guest lodges, good views, nice room and helpful staff.
Very beautiful area, lodge was quiet even on a busy long weekend.
Nice place. Overrated for a Fairmont property but ok
Best service, tons to do, even in the off season. Found the care provided by the staff to be the best. Exceptionally overpriced restaurants however. Would recommend driving to Jasper to eat and go out.
The most beautiful lake in Jaspar!! Nice to boating with my love there. Water is so clear when there is no wind blow.
Rustic and amazing, a must see for anyone visiting Jasper.
My favorite place and Lodge/resort in the world! I will be back and back again and again
I didn't stay but the food was A+ at the emerald lounge
Very pleasant accommodation and wildlife around lake.
Charges way too much for what you get. Food was bland and small. Rooms were nice, but they were forgetting essential things like sheets for the pull out bed. Door was scratched up as if a dog was there for hours. All the window screens don't fit. Shower curtains don't go the whole length of the shower. We waited 45 minutes for an empty table at Orso. The people have all been extremely nice and helpful so far. For the fantastic price we pay, we get a stunning view of the bus parking lot. The grounds have weeds everywhere. Most of the "grass" is just weeds.
This new renovations made a big difference with updating the place, which had been looking rather run down previously. Cabins are small, but the lodge is great, from the steakhouse to the pool to the steam room, with the expected Fairmont style of service being upheld nicely.
We have stayed here twice for conferences, and were delighted that find that our room had been upgraded to a lovely 1 bedroom with a parlour and lake view. The service is excellent, the food options (Sushi!!) and bar are great, and you can't beat the amazing scenery (especially when enjoyed from the hot tub). We'll be back often over the years to this special spot.
Fun Times!
Thanks for making the outdoor Skating, we had a great time
Absolutely magical. The service was out of this world and the Eucalyptus Steam Room was incredible. They even provided a mini Christmas tree for us to decorate for the holiday! A truly incredible experience my husband and I will treasure always.
Go your way if you don't want to spend a stay in what looks more like a retirement home than a hotel.
The rooms are small, poorly soundproofed and poorly equipped (pipe noises, jerky shower, noisy fridge). The efficiency of the room service is random (towels folded in a hurry, shampoo and shower gel not renewed ...).
The location of this place is amazing. Our cabin overlooked a beautiful lake. The cabin was spacious, modern, clean and well equipped in everything we needed. The main lodge has a spectacular view from the restaurant. Don t forget to visit their gift shops - very nice variety of items. We met lots of staff on the property and every one of them was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They made you feel very special. This place is a real gem. Would always go back when in Jasper.
Very friendly staff. Idilic atmosphere. Great service. Will always visit when in this area!
What a great way to start the day! Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Health Club offers aquafit classes Tuesday & Thursday mornings. Thanks so much to the instructor, Melody, for the amazing aquafit class today. I was pretty lucky that the class was small because Melody was able to change exercises so we could work on our individual "problems."
Never can go wrong with a Fairmont property. Definitely rustic, but can't beat the views and food.
We had the greatest experience here, the staff are great, the food is unbelievable. We had a cabin on the lake... absolutely stunning. Check out the golf course if you're that way inclined; world class.
This review considers the hotel, resort in general and the the nook restaurant. Hotel 1 star, resort 4 stars and the nook 5 stars. Let me start by saying after 3 conversations with staff, we were upgraded to a junior suite. However, the room they originally had us booked in was the most overpriced, underperforming room I have EVER seen. As a point of reference, I am a platinum Marriott and Diamond Hilton. I travel a lot and am not inexperienced. The hotel room was supposed to be Lakeview. If you looked around other buildings and through the tree leaves, you could tell there was water about a football field away. This is Not lakeview. Seriously, this was a $170 room that we paid over $900 a night for. The staff was condescending until I got to a manager. We went there celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and had dinner in the nook, which was phenomenal. Wish we had booked elsewhere and came here for dinner. We had to pay to canoe as well...
