Great place to visit to help raise awareness for the proper care of these wonderful animals. They have numerous big cats from all around the world. Many of these animals have been saved from their previous owners who had them living in unacceptable conditions. Many are nursing scars from these poor conditions that show why these animals should not be treated as pets and should be allowed to live in the wild. The guides are wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about all of these animals. I recommend a visit for all ages.

Never been but heard a lot of great things. Price was reasonable but the money goes to the upkeep of the place. Tour was about 45 minutes but was an amazing experience to see these beautiful felines and their stories of being rescued. Definitely worth a visit.

Had the most Marvelous time! Saw the most beautiful big cats. It was interesting to hear the back story of each cat on how they arrived at the Exotic Rescue. Jason was our tour guide. He was the most informative guide. It's so exciting to be mere feet from these manificent cats. My friend had gone with me. She's been there in a torrential downpour, the frostbite days of winter as well as the gorgeous day in early October we went. She's said she has enjoyed every visit regardless of weather. Can wait to visit again.

Road tripped from SC to SD. Had to pass through IN and this popped up on things to do. Definitely worth the drive into the middle of nowhere to see these beautiful felines. We arrived on a rainy day and thought they were closed, but the employees there assured us that we could still do the tour even though it was raining. She even gave us a heads up that we may not see some of the felines due to the rain. We decided to do the tour and it was an amazing experience. Admission was $10 per adult and it was worth every penny. Just a heads up, it s a walking tour on a gravel path around the premise. Our tour guide filled us in on the names, breeds, and backstories of all the felines that they currently take care of. What s even better is that we were able to see some of the felines that she said we may not see (due to the rain) and we got to see how the animals reacted to seeing the caretakers arrive with their food! I loved seeing the bond that our tour guide had with the felines as well. You can definitely tell that they are loved and well taken care of. If you live in IN or are just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by and seeing these beauties up close.

The cat rescues is awesome because you are right there with the cats. The o ly thing that separates you is a chain link fence. If you go and there is a motorcycle around you can hear the lions roar. My family has been several times and it is always a great experiance. Be warned if a tiger turns his back to you there is a possibility of getting sprayed with urine.

More that meets the eye upon arrival, dont let the appearance on the outside deter you. Lots of wild cats, all with amazing stories and backgrounds.
The staff are animal people, not personable with humans lol. So don't expect friendly banter or small talk.
Parking is right alongside the rescue.

They rescue large cats (Tigers, Lions, Leopards, etc.) from circuses or people who attempted to own them, that cannot be returned to the wild. They take you on a tour through the park, detailing all the animals there, while you watch them through a chain link fence. You can get very close to the animals, and many will interact with guests.

Genuinely care about their animals & their interactions. Have gone here for years & its good to still get to tour despite covid. IMO this is the time to go & support these guys as there's not many people so the tour is even more personal.

Beautiful animals, and this is way better than going to a for profit zoo. All of these beauties are rescues. You get to be a couple feet from the cage and some are very social and will come and rub against the fence like purring kitties

We always take our visiting relatives and guests to the EFRC for the tour. The Center is a wonderful place for these large cats to stay forever. The staff, both paid and volunteers, are dedicated and knowledgeable. The setting is "in the woods" with plenty of space for the many feline varieties. You will be amazed the first time you visit.

I first thought this would be just cats, but they have tigers, lions and also one or two leopards, cats..The lady who showed us around is comfortable working with wild cats and most of them respond to her in an affectionate way! She provided a great tour of the place- story of how each wild cat was rescued and their special characteristics.

They have about 40 to 50 rescued tigers, lions, servals and Bobcats available to see on a guided 60 tour. Nice habitats. They have 3x as many rescued cats off tour. Its only $10. I love hearing the backstory on each animal.

The negative review below is ridiculous ..How else are these animals meant to eat?.. It's a non profit organisation not a zoo or fare for visitors to come and enjoy, this is for to help aid the ANIMALS ONLY!

A couple weeks ago a neighbor of mine and i found this beautiful Bengal cat in a park and brought him home not knowing how much energy he truly had. Through some mutual friends of mine I was put in touch with #EFRC (Exotic Feline Rescue Center) in Indiana. Rebecca Rizzo and the EFRC offered to adopt this beautiful cat into their care and make sure he would have a a great and healthy life from here on. I do live quite a distance from them and they offered to meet me half way even though it was 9pm! Rebecca made the whole process easy and hassle free for me and the Bengal that we named Cairo. I truly feel he will ne able to live his best life there and couldn't have done it without the help from everyone at EFRC!

I highly recommend this place for animal lovers! Tour guide was awesome and it s clear that they care deeply for the animals in their care. They also care about the safety of tourists. You are able to get closer to the animals than at the zoo and it feels like you re in the safari. We will visit again soon!

This is the largest exotic feline rescue center in...

This is the largest exotic feline rescue center in the US based on the number of cats. There is a front section where they give tours and a back section where they care for most of the cats. If parking is full on the side of the road, you can keep driving until you reach the gravel parking lot and park there. The tours show a variety of cats: lions, tigers, pumas, bobcats, servals, lynxes, and maybe some more. These cats come from circuses, zoos, and personal owners who either couldn't take care of the cats or violated some safety laws. The cats here are well taken care of and some even rub up against the cages and chuff at you (large cats can't purr so they chuff to show affection.) Since the owner keeps the grass cut high or even over grown, it can be difficult to see the cats, good thing they are secured in the cages!

Love this place! I volunteer there occasionally and I can honestly say that the keepers there are so dedicated the cats and their well being. Wonderful people. Kept super clean! The cats are happy and show so much affection and love for their keepers and I think that truly shows how well taken care of they are. They even feel it. This place is amazing to have tours at. You get so close to those beautiful majestic creatures. I would highly recommend visiting this place for a tour. If you really love it you can even stay the night in a house that is on the property.. imagine getting to look it your windows to that! And hear their powerful roars and chuffs.

Awesome! This place is a great way to get really up close and personal with many different kinds of wild cats, including tigers, lions, servals, and many others. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about the animals and on multiple occasions were able to get cats to come over to us. It's pretty muddy but that is easily dealt with. The guide said the tour shows about 50 of the 175 cats currently on exhibit. (This number is subject to change and is accurate as of 24/3/19)

Tigers, pumas, lions, ocelots, lynx and more!!! This place is a wonderful educational experience, a chance to see big and small exotic cats of many ages in large, comfortable environments, and an eye-opening portal to a world I never knew existed - what happens when someone illegally owns a tiger, or has a roadside zoo and neglects their big cats? They end up right here, happier than they've ever been! These people are doing a wonderful thing for animals who would otherwise not have a place to go. They are a well-known exotic feline rescue among those involved in that particular field and I had never known there was such a wonderful place for these beautiful animals right here in Indiana. The owner genuinely cares about the wellbeing of all his animal guests and has a true passion for his work, if you get a moment with him you can just see it in his eyes: he loves what he is doing for them, he loves providing these animals with a safe haven to live their lives out. About 2 hrs drive from Indianapolis; take a tour and remember: DO NOT TOUCH the cages! The tour guides love their jobs too and will tell you the story of every cat as you meander pleasantly slow past their enclosures, more than enough time to observe each animal. General admission and donations go to caring for the felines and their facilities. They spare no expense! Check them out and - if you don't want to give a donation without getting a little something out of it, grab something from the gift shop! And YES - they do school class tours with plenty of room for the school bus to park! :)
