Up close and personal with the beautiful BIG cats. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and led a great tour. The cats were interactive in our 10 am session. They all looked so happy and healthy. Great stop for the family. Smaller facility...but big on the number of cats and room.
We stayed the night and got to do the behind the scenes tour. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot. The cat (house cat) who stayed with us was super friendly and cuddly
This place is better than any zoo that I've been to. They are very informative & can tell you specifics for each cat. I will be going back.
The tour guide was amazing and very informative about all the felines they have there. All of them where very quick to respond to an emergency with a visitor who was having an emergency that had nothing to do with the cats.I would definately reccomend going.
Absolutely love this place.
Going back with more friends next weekend.
Place is amazing. And a little nerving walking through the place knowing these cats would eat you. Ha Ha place is inspiring
The volunteers at the Exotic Feline Rescue Center (EFRC) are very knowledgeable and passionate about the big cats in their care. It is a great place for the whole family or a group of friends to visit. They are doing a great job caring for the animals they have rescued. It is worth the drive!
Very fun to see these huge cats up close. Knowledgeable guide. Sad to see animals that were rescued from horrible conditions. It's good to know they have a safe and comfortable home to live out their life.
Was cool to see all the big cats but I wanted to see them free
Had the most wonderful time. Well worth the 2hr+ drive. You can tell that they take great pride in caring for the animals.
Hands down worth the 10 adult price 5 kids. No more circuses for us. Way better experiance than a zoo. Love the education and stories we were told.
This place was great took my little brothers and sister. We had a blast talking with the guidesmen.
Very knowledgeable staff, that care a great deal about these guys!
The Exotic Feline Rescue Center is such an amazing place. The volunteers are so sweet and outgoing. The cats are AWESOME! It's like stepping safely into the wild. I love seeing the animals play in their environment and with each other and with the tour guides haha. Plus, all these cats were rescued and the these people constantly give them the best life possible, given each cats abilities or lack of.
It's great to see the animals and big cats that I love so much, but I thought there would be more room for the animals they do have. I didn't like the guided tour, however was interesting the facts of each animal. Enjoyed my visit
I took some of my visiting family yesterday, an this place is amazing! I require the use of a wheelchair, so called an ask if they had provisions to handle that an they have a golf cart for those that can not walk. I had a great time, an so did the family. The guides talk about each animal an their history, and many animals interacted with the guides, which brought these cats to the fence.
Crazy place. Like a third world zoo. Very close encounter with beautiful animals.
Well worth the trip and great for all ages. Many species of wild cats all with rescue stories.
Up close and personal interaction with big cats in a natural environment.
The take very good care of the animals. Nice personal
Lots of tigers interesting guide, she knew each animal's story. Very educational and enjoyed her interaction with the tigers.
They have lots of pretty cats to see, I'm so glad they have such a nice place to go to.
Best experience of my life to be that close to those beautiful big cats. Will go back as soon as I can.
Love this place, this was our 2nd trip and I can't wait to go back!
they do a very good job here. A very nice up close tour... but not too close!
Beautiful wild cats! And they take excellent care of them!
Excellent! Highly recommend. Close up with the big cats
Making a difference in the big cat community!
Also doing a great job helping equine owners with end of life options!! Highly recommend!!
They really take good cares of big cats. Nice guide tour.
I love that they are giving big cats a forever home! They take in big cats from all over the United States that have been abused and abandoned. They are given medical and dental care, fed well and treated well. I absolutely love the Exotic Feline Rescue Center.
This is such a great place for these amazing creatures. Yes, I know that there are big debates about the benefit of some "animal sanctuaries" that breed animals and really are just trying to make a buck, but this place is very focused on the well being of the animals. Honestly, the tour is very informative and worth while, but they have many more animals that are not even on the tour. They have all of their animals spayed or neutered to not contribute more to the problem of exotic cats with no place to go. And I agree with some of the other reviewers, seeing the animal parts on the feed cart as it drove by was very interesting. It had a horse head and several animal parts and provided a way for me to explain to my kids about the circle of life. Understand that some people would be put off by this, but I thought it was neat. Guided walking tour takes a bout an hour, but we all enjoyed it.
Great staff, friendly cats and solid 1 hour tour. *wear comfortable shoes and use bug spray before.*
Everything! My favorite place to go and luckily I live close.
They had a surprisingly large collection of big cats. The price of admission was only $10 for adults and $5 for children. It is designed to be done as a tour so keep that in mind.
Very interesting and informative tour! Our grandsons are 4 and 8 and loved it.
I really enjoyed..the staff was great.we took some bleach off the wish list...
I was so disappointed. Guided tour was the only option and it was very rushed. Parking is either along the street or in a parking lot down the road.
More personal and up close. Everything here goes to a great cause!
Awesome place they are doing something very special for these cats
Love this place and what they are doing for the cats.
Awesome place to visit and see the 4 legged creatures that have a home to live out there years being safe and secure
The staff was really nice. They told us about all the tigers. Didnt feel rushed or anything..
Went for the Evening Roar event... first time there.... can't wait to go back! Knowledgeable team, beautiful enclosures and of course.... the cats!
Awesome place! Very knowledgeable about all the cats
sooo cool we saw so many tigers up close and personal it was amazing
Wow. Thank you to all that are involved with this. Absolutely wonderful venture. Joe, you rock!
Fantastic wild cat rescue center only one hour away from Indianapolis. It s impressive how much the staff has done for these beautiful animals in the last 30+ years. And the animals are impossible to take eyes off. The price is only $10 and all the money goes into supporting the animals. All the tours are guided and you ll be with other 8-10 people. The tours are about 1 hr long and are very interesting. Optionally you can also opt to stay one night at the owners residence and have a private tour of the other half of the rescue center and it s facilities.
These guys do the best they can. They obviously love the cats
This is a must see. Well worth the time and money..
Such an amazing place and the tour guides are so fun and informative. Great variety of beautiful cats!! Will return again and again.
These animals are well taken care of they all have a story and a great place to live out the rest of there life. They are loved here. GREAT STAFF..
amazing experience and friendly staff. I took a two year old with me in a stroller and it was a great experience for him to see the big cats at his eye level. Cannot wait to go back!
I LOVED my visit to this place. I love animals and sometimes places like this make me depressed for them so I waited a long time and did my research before I went to visit. When we first walked up I was a little worried but I quickly changed my mind! Up front there was a baby tiger and when a caretaker approached the enclosure his posture immediately changed from pacing to play mode. He was so excited to see his friend! Although none of this is a natural/ideal habitat for them, they seem well cared for with a lot more space than I expected for each enclosure (bigger than most zoos!). They all seemed happy and were rolling around and acting goofy. We even caught a tiger lounging in his pool! The tour guide knew what she was doing and could answer all your questions. We did come across one agitated tiger who was at the back of his encolsure roaring (which was cool to hear none the less) and she quickly scooted us along to prevent further agitation. I thought that was wonderfully considerate of the tiger I can't wait to go back for Evening Roar tour!
Beautiful animals and very safe. You won't get to pet the animals but you can see them very up close.
The stories behind these animals and the life they can give them now really touches the heart. I'm so happy these animals have a place to live out their lives that's much happier and humane than they were living before.
You will never be closer to big cats then this unless you are out on safari and get surprised by one, or you are a zoo keeper.
The animals stories are heartbreaking but the love and respect they are shown is inspiring. I never realized a male lion was so big!.
This is a wonderful place that rescue's Lions and tigers and gives them a home better than where they came from. Inexpensive to go on a tour there. $10 for an hr and it's amazing. Lots to see.
This was informational and you got to see the cats up close and personal!
Great place to visit if you're anywhere nearby. They do wonderful job saving the lives of felines in captivity
This was a great time with the family even though my favorite animal has always been the white Siberian tiger I was sad to know that they are inbread, this hurts me in my soul but I'll move on.
Awesome place. These folks take great care of these animals. Very impressed by the whole operation. We will be back !!!
If you love tigers you will love this place. The guides can answer any question you may have about tigers
We really enjoyed it , you can tell the animals are taken good care of the tour was very informative and we enjoyed how the tour guide expressed her care for all of them even the moody ones :) totally worth the money and time
The cats are amazing, and the rescue is doing amazing things to provide them with a great life after whatever past they were rescued from. The tour was fun. We took a group of Cub Scouts. Our guide was very patient with all of their questions!
Cats are beautiful. Adult friendly. Cages aren't durable. More like dog fencing. Keeps them in. Plenty of animals. Some up close experience.
Pretty cool place. For $150 you can stay overnight and get a personal tour behind the scenes.
Lots of accurate information was shared, guide was very specific about how tour worked. We all felt safe and children's questions were answered clearly. Thank you. We look forward to coming again.
Never have you ever been able to get as close to any of these magnificent animals as you do here. Obviously the people here care about the animals and their care.
We are going back every 6 months.
Loved it.
awesome place, they really take care of the felines and the tour is interesting!!
We did the over night stay. Was nice but not really worth the price they charge for features. The room was very basic, no controls for heat or ac. The center itself is ok, very muddy on the walk path. Would be nice if they placed gravel down on the walk path. They do take care of the animals there and they have plenty of room for living. Nice place to stop and visit for about an hour but I would not recommend the over night stay, was not worth over 200 dollars!
Some amazing animals, rescued and taken care of in an amazing compound.
Educational and was lead by an extremely enthusiastic tour guide! Definitely will be returning!
