Most mismanaged airport. Management is also incapable to make it better either Non cooperating security staff. they can't post man for entry gate & security check. supervisors don't have control over staff & they simply loiter here and their & ill-behaved. Pl come at least more than 1.5hours before departure as airport authority & security personnel keep most of the gates & security holds to promote how busy is this airport.

It's really a big airport and has good lounge. Almost all domestic airlines fly from here and a lot of choices for connecting international destinations.
One of the best airport in eastern India. Excellent connectivity from any part of the city. Frequent flight through out India round the clock. But international flights are less and only neighbor country specific like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka. Departure lounge is really awesome, specious, clean, nicely marked gate, superb food court with reasonable price and very good public address system. But arrival lounge is totally pathetic, only seating and washroom facilities. Other than that no basic facilities even mobile charger plug points not working, not a single one is working out of 50.
It's a decent airport among other metropolitan cities. Cleanliness is managed up to the mark. Staff here is courtegeous and kind. If you need on arrival then you might need to suffer for washroom in morning time..
International standards airport, all basic facilities available. Well connected with all types of transportation mode, soon metro construction will complete. Which will add another star to its rank
Most stupidly designed airport I've seen in last decade. Nothing is at the right place..you have to walk 100-200m for flight status boards, toilets & still miss it. No boards for transfers. No resting place. Announcements are unprofessional. Only part good is reasonably priced food. Mindless job by AAI. Pathetic !
One of the largest airport in India, well maintained and good staff behaviour. In evening u can walk around outer area of the airport for enjoy the fresh air, which is very clean and green.
It is much better than in the past but too small if it is compared with T3, Delhi. Neat and clean. It has got International and domestic terminals. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport is hub of flights going to North-Eastern part of the country. Both of its terminals are well maintained. It has got many shops. Many eating options available.
Well maintained, easily accessible and very supportive staff... even a first time Traveller finds it easy to avail the services. Love the escalarators, lifts and specially the toilets here... Overall I think this is India's one of the best international airports...
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) is the 3rd busiest airport of India. This airport has two terminal one for Domestic and another for International. From here you can travel any part of the country either directly or through layover. It's also most clean airport apart from other in India.
Wanted to receive my son travelling from Bangalore along with his pet dog. The pet was booked in Air India Flight. The cargo delivery counter was so difficult to find out without a proper road marking. The counters are dirty and touts driven. To take delivery also people asked money! Gear up Air India!
Nice , neat and clean international standard airport. It has changed totally . From VIP road you need to take left side over bridge to reach airport. You have to take cupon at the entrance for your vehicle. There is big ramp, ground floor for the arrival, first floor used for the departure. Parking area is nice, charge is Rupees 100 for two hours. You can park your car for few days for short out of City travel. Charge is Rupees 300/day.
It's a very good airport .. Security check takes more time than usual coz of congestion. Once checked in good restaurants to have food and few shops to do shopping .
This is the primary airport of West Bengal and is one of the busiest ones in India. Arrival and Departure zones are divided into upper and lower tiers. The airport is extremely neat and tidy with currency conversion stores, food stalls and ATMs widely available inside. Flights can be seen taking off and entering the airport from the waiting lounge. Both aerobridge and bus facilities are available to escort you upto your flight. Strolleys are available from outside the airport. The security protocols are of the highest standards too.
Very poor pathetic and rude staff, my brother is stuck in airprt as the connecting flight from Kolkata got cancelled and these people are not even cooperative, not even responding to our queries. Worse people and low grade airport service. The number listed is also not reachable.
Clean airport. Interiors are awesome. Service provider staff is good by nature. Arrangement & information for passengers is very nice. Check in & security checks are very smooth & hassle free. Tips- Always try to book taxi from inside prepaid taxi booth. If u book taxi from outside, they may charge almost double or above.
I found it to be a huge, clean, well maintained, and standards matching any major international airport. The aesthetics and ambiance do catch your attention. The food kiosks / restaurants and bars are of good standards. I had a layover of 4-5 hours, so could see both arrival and departure sections in detail.
Don't know where to start. Let's just say that during monsoons, this is just not the place to be. The floor near the boarding gates is literally wet all over. My 1 year old daughter spent most of her time licking the wet floor. Thank God she didn't get any stomach bugs! The ladies washroom is stinkier than Sulabh Shauchalayas. I'm scared to check the gents' washroom. The floor of the washrooms are, surprise, surprise, wet! There are no baby care rooms anywhere. I had to change my baby 's diaper by making her stand on the dirty floor of the washroom. There is not enough seating near the luggage belts. The Ola and Uber cab drivers are themselves always confused about the designated pick up points at the airport. Both the times that we used this terminal, our cab drivers canceled the ride, clearly stating that they didn't know the pick up point. The Duty Free shops don't have good variety. The washrooms and eating joints are really, really far from the international departure gates. It is a huge airport. I just wish they used this space prudently.
Parking and access is really good. Doesn't have inline checking system. Slows down the check in process. The place is vast, the number of places to shop/browse is very limited. Eateries are also limited less than expected. Seating is good. Plenty of aero bridges available, if you are unlucky the plane will stop at a open bay meaning that you will have to take a bus to the terminal, which usually takes ages.
One of the busiest airports of India. Great looks and nice architecture. People reaching Howrah junction, can get a direct bus to the airport from Howrah be junction directly. Peak timings are during evening 4-7 pm. Good is very costly inside the airport. Also there is a Great view while waiting for boarding. If you're on tight budget better to take the city buses avaliable at the airport.
Beautiful Airport symboling Bangla Culture. Lots of Terminals, Lots of restaurant, Lots of bookstall. Washroom facilities is good. Water fountains are everywhere. Food cost little bit expensive. No metro available from this airport. Only taxis and cabs
New airport with all modern facilities available here. Very spacious. Parking facilities and taxi services including ola, Uber and state ac buses for different routes are available. People's are very cooperative.
A real pleasing Airport with lovely supporting staff. A well arranged security for the passengers. Wel guided Separate International and Domestic Terminals both for arrival and Departure. A well maintained and easily accessible parking both for private and public vehicles. Even Public A.C. Bus Terminus very close to Domestic Arrival Terminal. Small Cafeteria and Eateries by eminent brands and not too expensive like other Airports in India for those waiting for their passengers arrival.
One of the best airports in india. Neet, clean and well structured. Stuffs are very co-ordial. A good food court and restaurants are available. Spacious one.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (IATA: CCU, ICAO: VECC) is an international airport located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, serving the Kolkata metropolitan area. It is located approximately 17 km from the city center. The airport was earlier known as Dum Dum Airport before being renamed after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a prominent leader of the Indian independence movement. Spread over an area of 2,460 acres (1,000 ha), Kolkata airport is the largest hub for air traffic in the eastern part of the country. The airport handled almost 20 million passengers in fiscal year 2017-18 making it the fifth-busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic after Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. The airport is a major centre for flights to Northeast India, Bhutan, China and Southeast Asia. In 2014 and 2015, Kolkata Airport won the title of Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific region awarded by the Airport Council International.
A nice Airport though maintenance standards can be better if outsourced to the private sector. The export Cargo Terminal Operations and maintenance has been outsourced and working effectively. More needs to be done with the main Airport.
Good airport with most beautiful views and good support staffs, easy to get ur flight on it right time,no need to face rush and oldest Airport of India made by Dr.Subhash Chandra Bosh. Good amenities and architecture with different design,so attractive things and food charts too.
This is an international ariport. Clean and well maintained airport. Staff of different airlines are cordial and helpful. Different foodplaza available for meet up appetite. Security checking is taken time little bit during rush.
Great airport. Both domestic and international are good place to rest, eat and fly. However, the security checking during wee hours should be a little more organized. Although, I have noticed the security police are watching over people following the que so it's a good start. More options for cuisines, services and retails with lesser prices? Expecting more!
