Even though it is indeed one of the structurally best airports it is not up to standard in a couple of ways. Firstly, it's empty most of the time because of the lack of passengers. It has 23 terminals (I think) with 1-4 on the ground floor and the rest on the second. They are very very far away from each other and I almost missed my flight because of that. There is also a lack of airport personnel to help you with directions or luggage. Apart from that, it's a pretty decent airport with a light atmosphere.

It is one of the international airport of India. It is situated just outside of Kolkata city in dum dum area. This airport is better than most airports in India. It has two terminals. The design of the building is very unique and beautiful. Every kind of facilities and amenities are available inside this airport. There is a bus stand and a taxi stand just below the airport near the old terminal. Only problem is no one can arrive there on foot. You have to go by car or bus. Also the shops inside the airport is way too costly and charge almost five to twenty times the normal rate.

Well built airport . Plenty of food stalls and access to the Airport Lounge to pass away the time and hunger . Outside you have Uber and ola centers for easy booking of cabs . The Airport is pretty big and is very clean.

So far as checking and security are concerned it is ok.but the food quality of the stalls really deteriorate.

Just keep the taxi unions away from fighting on street for customers and keep the mosquitos away from biting visitors. More seats needed for visitors. Plenty of improvement needed no food vending machines no mobile charging kiosk.. plz compare with delhi airport Terminal3. Too expensive parking fees. They Don't Allow buses to run 24 hours making experience bad.

Good. Well maintained. In every step sanitization is happening. Stuffs are helpful. Indigo is providing Personal safety Equipment.

This is not how an international airport is supposed to be. The user experience is abysmal. You have to enter the airport through a gate with all your luggage to collect the boarding pass. Then you learn that you have to exit from the same gate and re-enter using another gate to do the baggage checkin and other security procedures. And this is during the COVID-19 times. The place is chaotic, you have to run here and there to understand what is to be done next. There are no proper signs for toilets, the pay and use toilet outside the airport building is third grade with water dripping at all the urinals. The staircase that you take to go down from the departures to the arrivals is extremely narrow. I'm not surprised that this is the best that the city could do. Very average airport by international standards. People, as usual don't understand social distancing even during these COVID-19 times.

I visited 1st time to any airport and it was this....

A well managed airport which is easily accessible from any part of the city. The latest renovations has made it look one of the finest in the country.

The transportation to and from the airport is smooth and available throughout the day. Opting for city route buses or the prepaid taxis while moving into the city is advised since the stray cabs outside the terminal charge exorbitantly.

Let's not talk about the food because it's a shame when compared to what the city outside has to offer(or may be I'm asking too much). Travel is ease, however it gets quite busy sometimes being the Eastern hub of connectivity to India.

Good connectivity to different places including railway station at cheap and best mode of transport - govt buses available both in ac and non AC variant. Much much cheaper than other metro cities.

Big, spacious and clean airport. Though there is an effort to sell handicraft items of Bengal most of them have gathered dust, which really needs a face lift. There is a small food court upstairs. Food is quite average and service needs to come up to a good level. But the food options seem very limited and prices exorbitant. Saw a number of people having food from outside due to the lack of food options at the airport. Washrooms are quite clean and well maintained.

It's full of mosquito outside airport. You cannot seat more than a minute outside.

Facilities are not upto the mark although several instructions are issued by govt on numerous occasions regarding passei safety at airport area during this Covid 19 situation

Being a Kolkatan, I can say this is one the worst international airport in terms of airport staff behaviour, airlines staff as well. Their baggage handling is disastrous. And their attitude is always on their nose. Most of them don't know what 'politeness' means. Passengers are paying money for them as well in the ticket and these buggers howl back at us.

Other than that, the airport is good, great structural example, views are awesome and you get delectable choice of foods. Most importantly the security personnel are friendly and helpful

The cab service from Uber/ola needs a major revamp ! Moreover, the airport staff are also very slow and lazy!

I went their on Friday 31 Jan 2020 and I found so much good change it was really impressed me......There's enough space in the terminal area and it never felt crowded. The airport is very well connected with Howrah railway station. There's shuttle bus service charging Rs.50 for the same running 24x7......

Kolkata Airport ....I like the huge infrastructure of the airport. They are well maintained, decorated, putting infont Bengal tourism, culture, and famous personalities of Bengal.

But I think the services needs to be improved a little being an international destination. More fastness can be shown in baggage collection, some more display screens around for passenger and may be professional enquiry and complaint center.

With respect to metro city airport is little small. However this is advantage as well as it reduces your time from security to boarding. Had decent collection of shopping stores. Lounge is available and is having good sitting arrangement. Good connectivity with Ola and Uber with dedicated pickup stands and is in just front of arrival gates. Not very far from city, however it's always good to have rain check on traffic before leaving. Very close to new town.

Visiting the NSCB Airport for the first time. We were helped by the security guards.
Initial welcome on entry was ok. invigorating as the desk staff appeared full.

It's an international airport. So, it has many facilities like other airports. Lean, clean and maintained.Just ask people if you have any query or problem, they'll help you whether they are airport employees or not. It has so many space to sit, jogging, resting inside while traveling. You would be comfortable here if you are visiting here for travel purpose.

Best service till now... we need to travel frequently so got to see both International and national terminals.

One of the biggest airports in India. Clean and well maintained. CISF security is good. Ground staff is cooperative. You will find all the facilities here. The airport is somewhat far from the city so I would advise you to start as much early as possible because the city is full of traffic and jam.

It's my very own City of Joy. Enough seating places are available. One can easily get food and the range is wide. As we Bengalees are born with sweet tooth undoubtedly the sweet delicacies are also available within the airport. Wide range of shopping options are also available within the airport itself.

When we transfer from one flight to another, do we need to screen the luggage and security check again ??? It's absurd. I can understand the International transfer, but for domestic transfer as well ? When I questioned an airline staff about it... straight answer.. its Kolkata..ok I shut my mouth...

Best Airport in India. it also the most busiest airport in India. Interiors of the airport is really world class. During arrivals one can experience a glimpse of India's rich culture. Very well designed Airport.

The mockery of an international standard airport and the way it is being managed can be easily felt. The airport lacks UV screening of baggage machines and the work is carried out manually by spraying water on your luggage to ensure disinfection thereby completely wetting damaging your baggages. Washrooms still have press in taps whereas it should be automatic considering touch less convenience during Covid times. Glass doors are still locked by chains and a locks. Money is wasted on covering posters of political leader at each and every angle of the airport which could have been easily spent on upgrading the infra and maintenance of the airport.

Behaviour of the staffs are not so good but the interior is clean and classy.

Should be much better . Lounge , coffe joints are not much available . Need to be more focus on organised airport .

The Immigration services of this airport is the worst in the world i have ever visit. The Immigration authority harasses people for no reason but money. I have seen the worst experiences in my life. I have also listened the same experiences people faced in here. If it continue like this, it will degrade the India's tourism attraction as it is a renowned international in India and World. I hope Indian Govt. should pay attention in this airport.......
