The airport seems to be a little dated compared to the other metropolitan city airports in the country...
I believe it's under a renovation process
Felt it like a basic airport

One of the best Airport in INDIA for travelling to Other country.
Very sorted and well managed Airport.
Not much crowded at Immigration.
Arrival and Departure at different Levels or Floors.
UBER and OLA have the service at the gate itself.
Clean and tidy. Waiting area is well maintained.
Food counters present inside and one can get variety to have a quick bite.
The interior is too good.

One of my most favourite airports in the country with really impressive archiechture and organised management.
Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport is an international airport located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, serving the Kolkata metropolitan area. It is located approximately 17 kilometres from the city centre. The airport was earlier known as Dum Dum Airport before being renamed in 1995 after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a prominent leader of the Indian independence movement.

It Spread over an area of 2,460 acres, Kolkata airport is the largest hub for air traffic in the eastern part of the country and one of two international airports operating in West Bengal, the other being Bagdogra. The airport handled almost 20 million passengers in financial year 2017-18 making it the fifth-busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic after airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai. The airport is a major centre for flights to Northeast India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and Southeast Asia. In 2014 and 2015, Kolkata Airport won the title of Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific region awarded by the Airport Council International.[

Totally not suitable for kids in bag checkpoint..

The way NSCBI Airport has developed over the years is something worth appreciation. The food boulevard is great with a good combination of foods.

Airport in general is good although wifi for international travelers can be very difficult. We depend on those sorts of things while traveling away from our home countries.

Neat and clean airport but distance from main road to entry gate is little long. If you on vehicle then good otherwise footwalk will make you tired.

Best Airport in India under Airport authority of India. After renovation it becomes Beautiful, organised & well managed. Kolkata Airport has the both International & Domestic terminals. You will get different airlines staffs & counters in a organised way. Baggage scanning is easier here & you have to do this job at first then collect your boarding pass & go for security check and at least go to the gate for your flight. You can also buy foods, drinks from the shops in the Airport. Washrooms are well maintained. Drinking water is also available here. All the staffs are so helpful.

It's a international airport situated@damdam in Kolkata. Ground floor for arrival and 1st floor for departure. T2 is for domestic.

Flight timing is Carefully

Pathetically operated. Sloppy, antiquated, uninspired and unprofessional. This is the pits of a service establishment - be it at the check-in where there is complete lack of organisation and only one x ray machine works, to the washroom where staff hangs around chit chatting and impeding the flow of traffic, to the gates where suddenly there seemed to be an unannounced change of gates for a few flights and none of the airline staff seemed to be taking up the responsibility of informing passengers waiting at the wrong gates. Too much of needless pain, but maybe that's the standard to be expected around here.

The airport is so big and clean..very well architectured and many gates and entries..clean and hygienic.. security is very nice ..

Entry at Kolkata airport was ridiculas, They didnt bother about social distance or anything, Just like a local Bus stand.

The amazing conveyor belt will start after you complete your whole trip to Kolkata and even then there's a huge possibility that these guys change the belt number.
Oh, the belt number can bhi changed twice for that matter.
What is the point of making this a Silent Airport when the management makes it pretty difficult for the passengers to keep from blasting out every time they land here.

It is an international airport. This airport is very neat and clean.

Wonderful and first class airport I have ever seen . It is embedded with technology and very good service system . The airport also have bus transport facility for arriving passengers to reach their destination . It serves as a hub to passengers who boards to Dhaka/Bangladesh . very very nice

This airport is not up to the mark if compared with other international Airports in our country. In terms of Hygiene, this airport is pathetic. The bathrooms will make you feel like you are in some third class railway station bathroom, not cleaned properly and very dirty. Also, now coming to food prices in the food courts - 1 Tea is minimum Rs. 180! What the hell! And they don't even give you 2 cups. So, the prices are like Paris but the standard is like some old world dirty town!

Due to lockdown, its not very busy r8 now so you can wait and park your car easily and there is no rush.
Entry fees with vehicle is rs.60 with 30min of waiting time at the terminal
Place is sanitised.
Very less number of trolley, since they discourage use of trolley, so having your suitcase or bag with rollers will be very beneficial
Travellers must have their AROGYA SETU app in their smartphone its mandatory with your self assesment
Thermal scanning and luggage sanitization is done at the enrty point.

except some employees of some thai smile do not seem to have much of idea about their own flights. I had to keep running about for like 20 minutes in the airport for their misinformation.

cool airport Netaji Subhash Chandra Bhose International airport. sucks when you don't have other other friends/family and mother when most people in India traveling with me. and my father and I liked landing in kolkata airport with my father. we lived in Kolkata for five + years and went to different cities like New Delhi Mumbai Rajasthan. and we went to family members houses and weddings and funeral I'm from california, usa most of my family members live in india too many ugly old senior citizens. I liked the bookstore at the airport me and my brother were going to by India books. but we didn't. we did not have other family members travel with us back to America I'd lliked India I had girl friends and good family there. maybe I will go again in the future.

The bird eye view is awesome when we look at Kolkata during festive season and most amazing pictures which can touches our hearts . The Kolkata is decorated with lights during the this Durga puja, which is an amazing experience for the visitors of Kolkata as well as airport

Good place to walk. Get some exercise while waiting! Also like the rest rooms, smaller urinal for children. Separate room for baby care, so a father or mother can use it (not part of women's rest room). Not many healthy food (roti without oil, simple dal-sabzi without chilly and masalas; these should be add ons). Wish retailers would create dishes like that. Miss that when out of home for days.

Perhaps you'll find it more complex airport because the rules here for checkin is bit strict also unlike other airport it doesn't offer good comfy chairs. Rest is good.

It is very nice airport, for departure you need to avail over bridge

Simply Awesome Airport. It has many Lounges and it's waiting area is Huge.
Though Security check takes a little bit of time but slowly it is improving.The main problem in this airport is that in the Arrival your luggage takes approximately 30mins to just reach you via the belt (Specially During Night time in the Domestic Arrival). Otherwise it has many places to eat inside the terminal.

Nice airport. You will find food shop after immigration price will be higher than average. Min RS350 for meal. There is a Travel Club lounge at RS1300. A biriyani with Coca Cola cost me RS 370 at Biriyani Bhai.

Loved the entire environment. Well I don't know about washrooms but the lounges are very well maintained. You can have a nice time there before your flight.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is one of the best airports in India. Neat and clean environment. Everything is very well arranged. Service quality (boarding, immigration, baggage delivery) is very good. All kind of facilities like wheel chair accessibility, changing currency, taxi service is available. The greenery in front of the airport has further enhanced its beauty. Even though I don't have much experience, I think it is an international standard airport.

It's a good spacious airport. Located near north kolkata. For south Kolkata people airport is very far. Airport is very nice and clean. Security check is located just behind airline counters, you don't need to wonder here and there. You can easily locate the gate. Good eating options are available inside.

This international airport is best in class. And it's service is also good. You can exchange your money in side at money exchange counter.

For me it's a best domestic terminal I have ever seen.

It's really a big airport and has good lounge. Almost all domestic airlines fly from here and a lot of choices for connecting international destinations.

Needs temperature checking booths at multiple gates

There are not much people in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport these days. If you are arriving, be sure to check mask and sanitization of the cab you are taking. Or even some random people asking to help you with your baggage.

Had a very bad experience with Ola. They don't pick your call even if they do they don't care about customer and cancel it. They take forever to come. But prepaid government taxi is good It's recommended..

Decoration at the airport is great using Bengali Alphabet. Ola and Uber Pick up points are available outside the Exit gate number 2.. Prepaid Taxi stand is also nearby. Volvo bus for Howrah station is also available from the Bus stand on the right side of exit gate .One can also take local bus from Airport Gate number 1.local train is also available from Airport Railway station but their service is very less.

Interior is good and also clean. But the main problem is all the time luggage came to the conveiar belt on delay. All the time it take 30-45 minutes. It needs to improve.

It's nice and cozy. I just wished that international immigration and security checks were clearly marked after checking in. The domestic security check was right on the other side and I had to learn that the hard way. Luckily there was no long line due to covid-19 situations.

I have visited this Airport while I was traveling to Imphal. The airport is very big and clean. I have seen so many dedicated smoking zones on this airport. Seating area is very comfortable.

Well co-ordinated COVID protocol in place. But, number of washrooms need to be increased!

It's a worst airport i never seen s type of airport in my life, full of moscitos in side and outside full Dirty everywhere.

Not a beautiful nor a clean airport but used their retiring rooms it was surprisingly nice for 1680rs and staffs are well behaving and welcoming... Needs lot of improvement in cleanliness aspect

Nice, awasome super Airport. I think it is one of the top most airport in our country. All domestic and international flight , you will be caught here. Service is also nice. But crowd is heavy in this airport as compare to other airport so go here before time about 2 -3 hour so that all things you do nicely.

Experienced first time in my life that during security check in staffs took away my one and half dozen eggs (raw) which was properly packed and placed. Had never ever experienced this in Chatrapatti shivaji maharaj international airport Mumbai, Bangalore airport, Delhi airport or in Guwahati airport.
Had travelled many a time in similar manner but never experienced such. Worst airport experience at NCBI airport kolkata
