Had breakfast at their restaurant. It was buffet style and there weren't as many choices as I'd expect from such an expensive hotel but the food was ok. Service was poor and the waitresses seemed stressed and overworked despite the restaurant not being that busy.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean building and rooms. The room was also spacious with a small attached living room as well. The only downside is that it looks like any other hotel, wish they took advantage of the Ethan Allen name and decorated the rooms a little more thoroughly.
This was our second stay at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT. Easy enough to find the second time. Check in was simple and took only a minute or two. The room was adequate for our stay, with two full beds that were comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functional, but watch the commode - it is placed right next to the wall and can be difficult to navigate for someone with back problems! Other than that, it was a nice evening. Check out in the morning was a breeze, too. We called the front desk just to confirm that we didn't need to stop on the way out, and we were told we were all set! Couldn't be easier. First stay here for an event. Staff was so nice and helpful, and the hotel has great conference and meeting spaces. Rooms are so comfortable, with separate sitting area from bed area. Good food and great bar. Thank you!
Sunday Brunch at the Ethan Allen, very pleasant morning. Staff are excellent and service is faultless, although I do miss the eggs benedict which seem to not be available any more !

Great place. The bar is newly remodeled and the supervisor Robert is an awesome guy. The catering we had while there was quite excellent also. We were there for an event.

I though it would be at least like any other hotel but it s not close to the lowest quality , the staff it s very nice , the problem is the rooms I have a double room and my bed is next to the window which is very old old old , and there s actually cold air coming thru , I called and they gave me 3 other rooms and they are all the same , is not the rooms problem , the windows are actually very old and let the draft inside , it s windy you can feel the cold numbing your body , just had to tough it out maybe tomorrow they will put some silicone on the edges .

Was calling to plan my wedding in October and the event planner wasn't nice at all maybe she heard my Spanish last name and decided to screw up my plans...outrage price for a small wedding of 100...minimum people had to be 140...I FOUND A BETTER PLACE...DROP MIC

The hotel parking lot is in construction and they started working at 7 am on a saturday and the noise was awfull the vending machine are not working the ice machines are not working the room is outdated with no coffe machine rusty bath tub horrible experience never come here again

I have literally been on hold for over an hour with no one picking up the phone. The hotel LOST my reservation for a wedding, which I was required to make over the phone to get the block rate. I m sure they are SOOOOOO busy at their front desk they can t pick up for over an hour. Terrible customer service. I have been able to get off a plane at LGA, take a shuttle to Alamo, rent a car, get in the car and DRIVE to DANBURY without them picking up. The time is still growing.

Lots of conference space, nice layout. 4 stars not 5 because they have a low flow shower.
Beds were small and bouncy, great if you're a kid jumping, but not if you're adult sleeping. The pool looked like the place a sad clown would go to commit suicide. If you forget a toiletry the paied "gift shop" is a nice reminder that you are not in a 4 star hotel. Thanks for advertising it as luxury!
Our conference room was both professional and welcoming with a beautiful courtyard view. Breakfast and lunch were fantastic!
Location is walking distance to 84. The hotel itself is nice. I am in a king suite. It has a nice sitting room and bathroom, 2 tvs. Has a little dry bar with a fridge and a keurig machine. U have to go to the lobby to use a microwave. Of come back for personal travel definitely.

Good room at a reasonable price. Minor downsides: the toliet was situated very close to the wall making it uncomfortable to sit upon. The mattress sagged and was unsupportive.
Loved the ease of this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathroom were super clean. The food in the restaurant was simply delicious (and I'm picky). There is a huge mall, other shopping areas and loads of restaurants only 10 mins (driving). There is a outdoor pool, however It wasn't in use due to it being winter. And even though there is alot of functions going on, I didnt hear a peep from the 5th floor. If you are looking for a super quiet stay then don't stay on the 1st floor. I would definitely recommend anyone stay.

I called to confirm my reservation and the man who answered was quite rude to me. Check in was easy. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The TV had very few options and looked like half the stations weren't coming in. Overall it was acceptable but nothing special.

My job requires me to travel around the country and as such I've stayed in hundreds of hotels in countless states. I've never left a 5-star review for any of them until now. Not only is the hotel incredibly well-designed and up kept, but everyone from maintenance to cleaning, waitstaff to concierge are all top-notch. Breakfast buffet is always fresh and tasty. I stayed for over a month with only one minor issue, while internet averages 25-50mbs depending on location, my video streaming did occasionally lag or cease. But it's always fine for Web surfing, and work. Absolutely the best hotel all around. Thank you Christa and staff, I'll always cone back for lodging when in town for work.
The rooms don't have Refrigerator or Microwave (extra charges if you request one).
They had to change my room while I was outside because of maintenance but they locked me out of the room without any notification. When I went to main desk, the staff angrily said they left a notice in the room but didn't seem to understand that I without being able to enter the room I couldn't see the notice. I had to carry all my stuff and keep looking for my new room. When I couldn't find it, the main desk let me know it's in the back building. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional front desk personnel.
My late night visit was refreshingly marvellous, i felt that on the way back.
Beautiful hotel, good food and excellent service. Our room was clean and overall very nice but it did have a strange smell of possibly cigarettes and mold. We didn't bother saying anything as we were only a brief overnight guest after a wedding. The wedding held at the hotel was beautiful.

There's nothing bad to say about this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The service was excellent and its conventiantly placed right off the highway.
I was on a crew assigned to storm duty so I did not pay for the room, however the room was clean and comfortable , only drawback was the room heater was super noisy and rattly, which I only heard for a few minutes because I was too tired to worry about it. Others complained of the same in the group. We did advise the front desk.
My family had a gathering in ballroom after a funeral. It was well done and the atmosphere was comforting. The staff and hotel made the day go by easier.
