Nice place , very clean but could use new beds and pillows. Nice outdoor pool in summer and the restaurant and bar very good food and drink, ask for Bob!.
Great place . Went to a party there it was very nice and large party rooms with excellent service.
Very friendly staff very clean very affordable beds are unbelievably comfortable
My son's the wedding the service was top notch for wedding table service and 2 buffets rehearsal dinner and breakfast the next day following wedding the room I'll give 4 stars over all the experience was excellent
High impact event "Women at the top" thanks to the organizing group headed by the NC Sonia Baffoni
Internet is terrible. Can't even stay on for a full 10 minutes and sometimes there are huge spiderwebs inside the elevator that stays there for days. GROSS. Kimberly at the front desk is awesome though so I will add a star.
A friend had his son's communion party here and it was great. Food was delicious and the staff was on point.
Staff was friendly and very attentive.. rooms were dated and poorly maintained... terrible noise insulation.
Attended a party here, Ethan Allen provided an excellent Buffett. Food was great, and the desserts were spectacular. Highly recommended.
Very clean and comfortable, well equipped rooms. Very quiet, you can sleep well. Only recommended
Large room, friendly staff, and close to the mall and restaurants. It's easy to find with plenty of parking. The hotel was clean and comfortable.
Excellent service, affordable & clean. My family & I had a great time at their bar too. Morning breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this hotel!
Service not great, we could not get into our room had to go back down and get another key I have walking problems all the elevators are at one end they put me all the way down the other
This place saved us!!! Booked at the hotel across the street and it was a nightmare!! Ran to Ethan Allen and this place was Awesome!! Front desk staff took care of us, especially Spencer, he was super nice and new all hot spots. Please check this place out!! Also the restaurants Lake 21 happy hour was nice. The sweet potato fries with Duck Confit, "to die for"
Staff was so friendly and rooms were clean and comfy!!
With a shrinking furniture empire there are no expenses spared here! Excellent service, dining, catering, banquet facilities and meeting rooms! Oh did I mention they have elegantly furnished hotel rooms with Kurig coffee?? I stay for business, I visit for pleasure!
Excellent service, amazing rooms, impeccable decor.
Wowwwww this place is so nasty. The Air Conditioner has BLACK MOLD! The carpets have stains on them!
This hotel... Where do I start. On the web site it appears as though you may be staying at a high quality hotel. But its far from it. First let me tell you about the good. The staff is friendly and accomodating. However this hotel is desperately in need of a renovation. The furnitire is very dated. The ceiling looks like someone threw small pieces of wet toilet tissue up there and made stucco. The room was damp and musty. I felt so uncomfortable that i didnt even get under the cover they were musty. There was rust and hair around the sink and tub cracks in the tile shower curtain had mildew stain. It was so just ugh i went and purchased my own cleaning supplies. Its has potential with the lovely staff and all, but not what I would expect of a hotel right next to their headquarters. I would not return or recommend just for the fact of the lack of cleanliness. Maybe im expecting too much. But for a hotel of a elite furniture company i truly expected better. Recommendation to the managers. Please give your cleaning and maintenance staff a class on making this hotel live up to the image that Ethan Allen portrays. Just based on this hotel alone would make me not want to purchase their furniture.
Do not read further without reading this review. Reviews here are higher than usual from people who enter the hotel at late hours just to close their eyes. The hotel is not attractive. The furniture is very outdated. The rooms are dirty and have an odd smell. The Air Conditioner had mold on it. The noise inside the hotel was unbelievable. From slamming doors to people yelling to what sounded like 100 year old pipes. When you finally do get to sleep, you get woken up by maids at 8 am. They will knock for five min. Please believe me when I say the Red Roof Inn is a much better choice then this beautiful on the outside ugly on the inside sleep shack.
Went to pickup sleep center equipment. Process was very easy and quick. Thanks to tech Ray.
The rooms were standard hotel rooms, and the beds were pretty comfortable. We heard a lot of people complain about the front desk staff at check in. We didn't have any problems, but I witnessed one staff member use a very unpleasant attitude with a guest checking in. Not a great first impression for that guest, and we made sure to avoid that staff member during our stay.
*Update 5/29 - I had a great conversation with the GM of Ethan Allen this afternoon about the problems we witnessed during our stay. It's clear this was a one-time thing and that they are very serious about preventing anything like this in the future. I'm updating my review from 3 stars to 4. I appreciate the follow-up!
Wonderful place to stay! Clean, up to date, beautiful amenities, great restaurant and bar within hotel
The Ethan Allen delivers a consistan boutique hotel stay every time.
While t b e hotel is newly updated and my bride had great
I went in for a sleep study. It was very clean, welcoming, and accomodating.
Very much affordable & convenient world class hotels. Enjoyed much during the stay.
Everything was great including the Thanksgiving Brunch. Staff were friendly and courteous, rooms were clean and food was delicious. If I had to i would definitely go back.
So pretty!! I loved the garden area right off of the main sitting area. Just gorgeous.
My room was a suite. It was beautiful and very roomy. There were lots of places to "plug in" - we all know how important that is!
I ate dinner and breakfast there. The wait staff were amazing. So friendly. And right on top of providing service. The food was good, too.
Great service all the way around! Food at the restaurant was delicious! Thank you for making our fur baby happy, one of the best Pet friendly hotels!
We attended a birthday party at the Ethan Allen hotel. We were impressed with the beautiful entryway and welcoming fireplace. We had brunch in a beautiful solarium, which let the sunshine in. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of food offered at brunch. We will be back again.
Print de or(surprising for the hotel of Ethan Allen furniture). Appears worn. Cean and reasonable price. No restraint;not even
Very comfortable stay! Rooms are clean and quiet. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Attended a wedding event. I was impressed by the quality of food and venue.
I stayed here my first time back in mid February, before the pandemic hit. My stay was absolutely fine. Room was absolutely clean. 2nd time around was yesterday, and I gotta say, I really noticed how dirty the hotel was. There are stains all over the carpets of the floor in the main hallways. Also the room I stayed in last night was not fully cleaned. Stains all over the room floor as well, no bags in the garbage cans, and a weird dried up glob on the lamp that I could only hope was gum. I figured if anything, their standards on cleanliness would have only went up because of the pandemic, not down. Only giving three stars because the staff is very friendly and every other aspect of the stay was just fine. The place is still very nice, I just think they need to do a better job with cleanliness
They were very hospitable and the room was very clean. With a keurig colander!
Stayed 4 nights. Staff super helpful. Clean. Parking was iffy, but free. (Not many spots). Right across the street from McDonald's and Dunkin. Just 5 minutes from a huge mall.
Went for a wedding tasting. Atmosphere was wonderful, waitstaff were on top of everything, but the food was not the greatest.
Good looking hotel... hot water in the sink, but shower only cold on my room... the receptionist did say sorry for that
Awful hotel! Staff is sarcastic in answering questions. All seem uninterested, and bothered. Receptionist Kim was rude, likes to talk over you. Disregards personal food preferences. Asked if there was pork in the food, and the server had no idea. When discovering there was, the wait staff asked me(the guest) what I wanted her to do. I will never come back, and will always share my poor experience here. So dissapointed!!!!!
Beautiful hotel. Amazing staff and food in the restaurant is so tasty.
Went to a wedding here and it was beautiful. The ceremony was lovely and the gazebo was great for taking pictures. Food delicious and the reception was a blast.
Great place if you plan to visit Danbury. Breakfast was above average what I've seen in US. Very comfy rooms.
The front desk worker was very friendly and professional. He made the process easy. I was also there for a company party, and everything for the event was great. We were very well taken care of. The staff was also very attentive. The food was fantastic.
Extremely impressed with accommodations. Very clean. Nicely appointed rooms. Better than any 5 star hotel I've stayed in and I travel extensively. Staff was very courteous. Extremely well priced. Highly recommended for any event .
Great time at Holiday party. Food was great, staff was very attentive
Stayed here for one night and I thought it was a great hotel. The staff seemed alright and the room was clean and presentable. My bf and I really enjoyed ourselves here.
Great clean facilities, friendly staff and close to many amenities. Good highway access.
The room was nice. Had a deluxe king suite. A bit smaller than I thought it would be. The food was great at 21 lake restaurant. Woman at the front desk was helpful.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, pretty big room, very clean. Do not go to the restaurant.
Food was good and a great spot to crash after a long 16hr day. Stayed 2 nights and then followed the storm north.
Incredible, very nice place to stay. The food at the restaurant is top notch!
We hosted a celebration here yesterday and really liked the hotel as our venue. Our staff was friendly, the room was set up well and the room was attractive. Food was very good, too.
My group uses Ethan Allen a few times a year for meetings. It is reasonably priced, great meeting space, clean and the staff are great. Plenty of parking, easy to get to, very accommodating. Highly recommended.
I booked 2 nights in a deluxe suite at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT. The hotel, room, and breakfast buffet was great but due to situational circumstances my stay was unsatisfactory. On the first night, the bed had a pointed edged piece of metal wire that was embedded through the mattress pad and poked through the sheet. It scratched up my leg causing me to bleed on the sheets (see attached photos.) I met with the General Manager Janice Perna-Nicholas. After hearing the situation, her first offer was 15% off 1 night stay which equaled $20. When I declined that offer, I suggested she would compensate the entire stay. Her response was that her "best offer" was 50% off. I thought her offer meant 50% off the entire stay but she only meant 1 night which equaled $65. Not wanting to argue I took that offer without writing a report at that moment. After reflecting the situation, I decided to write the report to document the incident in case anything further happened to my leg. After signing the report and asking for a copy, Janice declined stating that it was for "in house records only". The way I felt by Janice's questioning made me feel as if I did something wrong. So I left the hotel after my second night with no copy for my report and scratches on my leg. I plan to go to the doctor to seek medical attention. Very disappointed. Don't ever stay there! Uncomfortable bed and the General manager is unhelpful.
Room was Nice but had to wait for a room to be cleaned past check in time
Food was good and service was good. No complaints here
Wonderful staff! They were extremely friendly/kind greeting a weary driver at 2am and arranging a late checkout. Great location right off the highway makes it easy to stop and continue on the next day. The rooms are dated, could use fresh paint, and the carpeting an odd kind of cloth material. That said, everything was clean, functional, and safe.
Seever was great...very friendly and accommodating. It was a quiet and delifhtful setting with a diverse menu and the food arrived quickly and tasted delicious.
There was a power outage at the time of my visit. I would expect a hotel to be equipped with the necessary means to handle such issues
Clean, comfortable room. Really enjoyed the Ethan Allen!
Beautiful wedding venue! The best wedding I've ever attended!
Unsurprisingly, all of their furniture is super comfy. :-)
Food was only decent not a great selection. Service is great. $188 for three person brunch?? No prepared scrambled eggs, line to get in was out the door even with reservations, line wall to wall waiting for any type of egg. After an hour, they shut down one of the food line led and push everything to one side. Very inconvenient and overpriced. Never again for mother s day brunch.
