Internet is terrible. Can't even stay on for a full 10 minutes and sometimes there are huge spiderwebs inside the elevator that stays there for days. GROSS. Kimberly at the front desk is awesome though so I will add a star.

With a shrinking furniture empire there are no expenses spared here! Excellent service, dining, catering, banquet facilities and meeting rooms! Oh did I mention they have elegantly furnished hotel rooms with Kurig coffee?? I stay for business, I visit for pleasure!

This hotel... Where do I start. On the web site it appears as though you may be staying at a high quality hotel. But its far from it. First let me tell you about the good. The staff is friendly and accomodating. However this hotel is desperately in need of a renovation. The furnitire is very dated. The ceiling looks like someone threw small pieces of wet toilet tissue up there and made stucco. The room was damp and musty. I felt so uncomfortable that i didnt even get under the cover they were musty. There was rust and hair around the sink and tub cracks in the tile shower curtain had mildew stain. It was so just ugh i went and purchased my own cleaning supplies. Its has potential with the lovely staff and all, but not what I would expect of a hotel right next to their headquarters. I would not return or recommend just for the fact of the lack of cleanliness. Maybe im expecting too much. But for a hotel of a elite furniture company i truly expected better. Recommendation to the managers. Please give your cleaning and maintenance staff a class on making this hotel live up to the image that Ethan Allen portrays. Just based on this hotel alone would make me not want to purchase their furniture.

Do not read further without reading this review. Reviews here are higher than usual from people who enter the hotel at late hours just to close their eyes. The hotel is not attractive. The furniture is very outdated. The rooms are dirty and have an odd smell. The Air Conditioner had mold on it. The noise inside the hotel was unbelievable. From slamming doors to people yelling to what sounded like 100 year old pipes. When you finally do get to sleep, you get woken up by maids at 8 am. They will knock for five min. Please believe me when I say the Red Roof Inn is a much better choice then this beautiful on the outside ugly on the inside sleep shack.

The rooms were standard hotel rooms, and the beds were pretty comfortable. We heard a lot of people complain about the front desk staff at check in. We didn't have any problems, but I witnessed one staff member use a very unpleasant attitude with a guest checking in. Not a great first impression for that guest, and we made sure to avoid that staff member during our stay.
*Update 5/29 - I had a great conversation with the GM of Ethan Allen this afternoon about the problems we witnessed during our stay. It's clear this was a one-time thing and that they are very serious about preventing anything like this in the future. I'm updating my review from 3 stars to 4. I appreciate the follow-up!

So pretty!! I loved the garden area right off of the main sitting area. Just gorgeous.

My room was a suite. It was beautiful and very roomy. There were lots of places to "plug in" - we all know how important that is!

I ate dinner and breakfast there. The wait staff were amazing. So friendly. And right on top of providing service. The food was good, too.

We attended a birthday party at the Ethan Allen hotel. We were impressed with the beautiful entryway and welcoming fireplace. We had brunch in a beautiful solarium, which let the sunshine in. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of food offered at brunch. We will be back again.

I stayed here my first time back in mid February, before the pandemic hit. My stay was absolutely fine. Room was absolutely clean. 2nd time around was yesterday, and I gotta say, I really noticed how dirty the hotel was. There are stains all over the carpets of the floor in the main hallways. Also the room I stayed in last night was not fully cleaned. Stains all over the room floor as well, no bags in the garbage cans, and a weird dried up glob on the lamp that I could only hope was gum. I figured if anything, their standards on cleanliness would have only went up because of the pandemic, not down. Only giving three stars because the staff is very friendly and every other aspect of the stay was just fine. The place is still very nice, I just think they need to do a better job with cleanliness

Awful hotel! Staff is sarcastic in answering questions. All seem uninterested, and bothered. Receptionist Kim was rude, likes to talk over you. Disregards personal food preferences. Asked if there was pork in the food, and the server had no idea. When discovering there was, the wait staff asked me(the guest) what I wanted her to do. I will never come back, and will always share my poor experience here. So dissapointed!!!!!

The front desk worker was very friendly and professional. He made the process easy. I was also there for a company party, and everything for the event was great. We were very well taken care of. The staff was also very attentive. The food was fantastic.

Extremely impressed with accommodations. Very clean. Nicely appointed rooms. Better than any 5 star hotel I've stayed in and I travel extensively. Staff was very courteous. Extremely well priced. Highly recommended for any event .

My group uses Ethan Allen a few times a year for meetings. It is reasonably priced, great meeting space, clean and the staff are great. Plenty of parking, easy to get to, very accommodating. Highly recommended.

I booked 2 nights in a deluxe suite at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury, CT. The hotel, room, and breakfast buffet was great but due to situational circumstances my stay was unsatisfactory. On the first night, the bed had a pointed edged piece of metal wire that was embedded through the mattress pad and poked through the sheet. It scratched up my leg causing me to bleed on the sheets (see attached photos.) I met with the General Manager Janice Perna-Nicholas. After hearing the situation, her first offer was 15% off 1 night stay which equaled $20. When I declined that offer, I suggested she would compensate the entire stay. Her response was that her "best offer" was 50% off. I thought her offer meant 50% off the entire stay but she only meant 1 night which equaled $65. Not wanting to argue I took that offer without writing a report at that moment. After reflecting the situation, I decided to write the report to document the incident in case anything further happened to my leg. After signing the report and asking for a copy, Janice declined stating that it was for "in house records only". The way I felt by Janice's questioning made me feel as if I did something wrong. So I left the hotel after my second night with no copy for my report and scratches on my leg. I plan to go to the doctor to seek medical attention. Very disappointed. Don't ever stay there! Uncomfortable bed and the General manager is unhelpful.

Nice!!

Wonderful staff! They were extremely friendly/kind greeting a weary driver at 2am and arranging a late checkout. Great location right off the highway makes it easy to stop and continue on the next day. The rooms are dated, could use fresh paint, and the carpeting an odd kind of cloth material. That said, everything was clean, functional, and safe.

Food was only decent not a great selection. Service is great. $188 for three person brunch?? No prepared scrambled eggs, line to get in was out the door even with reservations, line wall to wall waiting for any type of egg. After an hour, they shut down one of the food line led and push everything to one side. Very inconvenient and overpriced. Never again for mother s day brunch.
